401  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Launch of bitcoinbikers.com on: May 08, 2014, 04:53:47 AM
I think I posted this thread in the wrong place, was supposed to be under "goods".

I believe you can make a thread here to announce your new business, and make another thread in goods section. Smiley

The coindesk article is good, but you should read the "Security Concerns" section (especially the part of creating your private keys offline) before following the 10 steps Smiley

405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: question about gambling on: May 08, 2014, 04:37:30 AM
Do you think bitco.in is considered gambling? I rolled the dice twice and got like 400 satoshi, but i never made any bets or deposited bitcoin in that site... Is that considered gambling? And is bitco.in even a gambling site? Online gambling is illegal in my state... Thanks!

Did you maybe mean freebitco.in instead of bitco.in or not?
Oh yeah sorry about that... Fixing my post now!

well the rolling part, no, but you can gamble that btc you've got in second tab, so that is considered gambling. Also, try Primedice, you can request payment every one minute if you have no btc, so try that one, here: primedice.com

OP mentioned online gambling is illegal at his place, and you suggest him to play on PD lol? Cheesy
406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any sites? on: May 08, 2014, 04:31:26 AM
Is there any sites that if you refer someone you get bitcoins for each person you refer? Like I'm not talking if you refer someone and then you get some money they make because you refered them. I am just talking in general is there a site where you just refer them and get bitcoins?
 Just curious.
 Thanks Huh Undecided

AFAIK, I don't think any site pay you just based on number of person you referred.
407  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in - is it even worth it? on: May 08, 2014, 04:29:02 AM
I was wondering if anyone here knows if bitco.in is legal in the USA and safe? Is it considered gambling? Gambling is illegal in my state Sad

bitco.in? It just tells you the bitcoin price, how could it be considered gambling?
Or are you just too lazy to type "free" in the beginning lol? Cheesy
408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Get more money? on: May 08, 2014, 04:24:55 AM
He actually sent me 7 messages, with 4 different bitcoin address, the first three being "oops, mistake"

Sounds like he just went to blockchain.info and found an address with some balance, and oops the bitcoin on the address has been spent. Tongue
409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low risk steady returns investment fund idea on: May 08, 2014, 04:19:56 AM
So the business would involve accepting bitcoin deposits, which are then invested with low risk and steady returns in various securities and can be withdrawn any time with added interest minus exchange fees and some marginal performance fee. The balances would be calculated in bitcoin at the current exchange rate.

Sounds like you will sell the bitcoin and all your investment are in fiat.
So, if bitcoin price goes up more than 10% a year, the return (in bitcoin) will be negative...
410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this site legit? on: May 08, 2014, 04:15:47 AM

Anyone ever try it? I wanna try it but I don't know if it's legit or not.
Thank you Cool

Haven't tried it.
You can find the official thread about the game here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=448700.0 and there is no reply lol. Cheesy

Off-topic question, why my name got crossed out in the list? Is it because I am not entering for a new month and switching to other program?

417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a Scrypt coin ? on: April 28, 2014, 12:19:04 AM
from your link i see mostly X11 algorithm, GPU advantage is 4.6x CPU
all X11 coin always like that?

I don't mine anymore now, so I am not sure if the advantage is really "4.6x".

But for coins using the same algorithm, the hashrate should be the same, as your CPU/GPU is doing the exact operations.
Say, if you get 300 KH/s mining litecoin with your GPU, you should also get ~300 KH/s mining dogecoin.

The long introduction is almost identical to a self-intro example here (http://www.namaku.me/2013/09/Contoh-Cara-Memperkenalkan-Diri-Dalam-Bahasa-Inggris.html).

Quote
Good morning everyone. Let me introduce myself in a short time. I am Ratna dwi junarti and you can call me Rara. I was born in Bone, June 24st 1994. It means that I’m eighteen years old right now. I moved from Jakarta to this great city because my father has some jobs that must be done. Here, I live at Jl. Untung Suropati, Jasaraya. My house actually is not far from this school and you are only to ride for about 100 m to the east.

I have a nice hobby and that is writing and blogging. I get money from internet especially through blogging. I have a nice blog that provide information of Technology, newest gadget, and many more. You can visit the Namaku.me to see my articles.

In my house, I live with my parents named Mr. and Mrs. Wibawa. Both of them work as entrepreneur. My father manages his futsal shoes business while my mother is managing her Batik dress business. I love them very much and I’m actually five brothers. I have two elder sisters and two younger brothers. My first sister is 22 years old named Andina Rizki and now she has been a student of Indonesian University especially for English Literature.  Next to my second sister who has been 20 years old named Andien Aulia and she is studying at Gajah Mada University especially for Psychology. I think, I will not tell more about my brothers because it consumes time too much.

That’s all and I would say thank to your attention. Good morning everyone, nice to see you.

OP, are you a bot, or are you learning English using that site? Cheesy

But how a CPU only coin stays in demand ? Coz anyone can mine it ...is not it ?

True, anyone can mine it. But some wants more than they can mine (one possible reason is they expect the price to go up), so they decide to buy it.

can you tell me more about virwox?

https://www.virwox.com
You can use Paypal to deposit USD in the site, buy Second Life Linden Dollars (SLL) with USD, and finally buy bitcoin with SLL.
The fee is very bad IMO.
