121  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: December 21, 2017, 11:29:58 PM
High guys,

I'm using the mycelium wallet but the fee's are SUPER high. There'sjust no way the fee could be 0.02btc for a low priority fee. My friend said he sent some btc and was charged $10.

What can I do to lower the fee's? Am I able to download another wallet, login with my existing 12 seed keys and send my btc from another wallet?

Mycelium allows 1 sat/byte, which means to get to BTC0.02 your TX would have to be 2MB.

It would never confirm if you sent 1 sat/byte fee.

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

The thing is, senders control the fees. If we started using lower fees, fees would lower. The users of the block chain only have themselves to blame. They got use to transactions being included into the next byte and though that should be the norm so are paying higher and higher fees to make it happen.

Are there any USD anchors for Stellar that are run by a major bank in the US or Europe?

(looking for a tether like token on Stellar)

Anyone know if blackwallet has been security audited and if it is a safe and trustworthy wallet?
124  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium 2.0 HD - Welcome to the future on: December 21, 2017, 05:21:20 PM
Hello guys and girls. I want to mine bitcoin with Hashflare. So i made a Mycelium bitcoin wallet. Now i have this little problem... This is so confusing to me; What address do i have to provide to the mining application when they ask for wallet address ? is it the mycelium public key in Account button or the key that is shown in Receive button Huh

Thanks in advance guys/girls!! Your help is much appreciated.

Your receive address.  Keep in mind, it will change every time you receive bitcoin. But, all the addresses remain valid.

what is happening?  Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

BCH just got listed on Coinbase / GDAX and everyone is selling the shit out of every other coin to participate....

Seriously, I was just saying yesterday that I thought the exact opposite would happen when Coinbase gave everyone their BCH, they would all sell it to the ground. But, you know, I've been wrong before. Maybe I should have kept my BCH and not converted it to BTC.

I'd be happy if stellar took a leg up to 1400 sats. I keep think its going, then it hits resistance. But long term, I'm a little concerned because there are so many outstanding lumens. The last airdrop didn't help the price any.

The airdrops are done. Only XLM going out now is the Build Challenge participants.

However, I do agree... SDF holds a large amount of Stellar Lumens.   But, I expect that is built into the price.

however, I wouldn't mind seeing the SDF decide to burn the un-allocated XLM once the build challenge is over so they only hold the initially planned 5%.

So, I have no idea how they plan to meet their mandate of giving away all 95 billion. It looks to me if I'm reading the dashboard correctly that only 17.85 billion of 103 billion that exist are in circulation. The rest are held by the SDF.

I'm pretty sure this coin has been abandoned, though I hope I'm wrong. Around the time NXT was a big thing I invested in two spinnoffs: FIMK and NEM. At least one of them was a winner, but it wasn't FIMK.
Fortunately you're wrong Smiley

I thought NEM fell.

Your insight regarding FIMK was still good. I don't expect many of the original investors to have the required patience though.

I still have everything I bought in the ICO plus more than doubled it with the early minting rewards.  I'm waiting for something to happen with it. Does all the news still get posted here?
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN - Smart Gaming Cryptocurrency + Virtual Goods Platform ㉫ on: December 18, 2017, 05:07:31 PM
I have got new updated from the developer of team about the wallet update: Enjin Smart Wallet will be highly resilient to reverse engineering for the sole purpose of further increasing security against hackers. They are also doing something very unique with the code architecture that they will never reveal. Adding more and more layers of security that is turning the Enjin Wallet into a cryptocurrency vault. No mobile wallet on the market and even most bank apps come close to the level of security innovation they haveve implemented. The Enjin Wallet is clean and simple to use. Enjoy it

So this means it will be closed source? I'm not sure I like that idea since it can't be security audited in any way.

Considering the amount of STR that is yet to be distributed, this shit is not going anywhere but down for the foreseeable future.

Read the whitepaper! They are only adding at 1% a year... I use to think exactly what you think here which is what kept.me.from.initially investing. Truth is that the 1% addition each year will have minimal effect on price.

Is that 1% new XLM every year (mining rewards), or just existing XLM that is released from SDF every year?  If the latter, is that what the auctions are?

No mining.... it is existing XLM released-

This appears to be incorrect. There is 1% per year inflation built into the protocol. It's not mining per say, but the total population of XLM is increasing.

Not a bad growth in the last 24 hours. I wonder if it's worth investing in this coin now? How long will it continue to grow? Is not this pamp?

The word "pump" implies a nefarious or planned price increase.

However, a huge amount of top tier alt coins and tokens are rising in value at this point. In my opinion it's a coat tail ride of the bitcoin price. People want to get involved but when they see the $x they put into bit coin will get them some .0001 amount in their wallet it doesn't look so impressive.

So, they look to less expensive coins like bch, btg, ltc, xrp, dash, eth and of course Stellar/ XLM.  (tokens as well). It's an strong crypto bull market right now.

I don't not think this increase is some planned and organized "pump" no.

Is it worth investing is only a question you can answer, since the worth of investment is based on a lot of personal information like level of risk, availability of speculative funds, etc.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN - Smart Gaming Cryptocurrency + Virtual Goods Platform ㉫ on: December 16, 2017, 05:55:38 PM
even ENJ is $0.10, everyone attend ICO still lose money. ICO price was 1ETH = 6000, at that time 1ETH = $300,

now 1ETH = $680,  6000 * 0.1 = 600.

So even ENJ is $0.10, you still lose 80$ per ETH.

No. If you came in with USD, bought ETH, traded it immediately for ENJ you are up.

Sure, you can say, if you just bought ETH and didn't trade it for ENJ you would have doubled your money at this point.

You can't compare what would have happened to the money if you made some other investment and call this a loss because. That's just voodoo math.

Your cost basis doesn't change because the type of currency or asset you sold and originally used to buy in has changed value against some other currency.

I'll have to try to report my next gain as a loss, because I sold a stock that went up more in value than the stock I bought with the proceeds. I'm guessing the IRS won't buy that one.

Two factor authentication option on they lightweight client would make me feel more safe when I use they wallet

2FA on a decentralized wallet? How would that work? Or is this a web wallet where they service controls your keys?

This is the web wallet.

If it's the one I'm thinking of... it's not a web service wallet where they keep your keys. It's just an app that runs locally in your browser. What's the URL?

https://www.stellar.org/account-viewer/#!/

Right... so that isn't a web service with a back end that you are logging into that stores your key. It is just a web app that you download from that link. There is no authentication happening with a back end... so there is no way to have 2FA with a page like that. You are literally typing in your private key to use that wallet.

ok, I guess it's technically possible. But, it won't protect you. Since you use your stellar private key to login... if someone is able to sniff that or steal it, they have your XLM anyway. They just couldn't use that priv key on that specific wallet service.

How much do you think Stellar Lumens will rise in the next months? XLM still seems fairly unknown to most people it seems, but the potential is definitely there.

The current rise is not enough good? Smiley

I'm happy at this point. I hope we are establishing an uptrend or at least a new base, rather than having it just come back down again as it has previously.

Strange, I know Smartlands already conducted their ICO a little while ago.
Smartlands is the Platform for ICOs of low-risk future-proof tokens secured by agricultural and real economy assets, so after conducting the ICO we build the infrastructure for ICO of asset backed tokens and look for projects to issue ABTs.

So, do you create non-fungible tokens on Stellar for these companies?

No, they will be fungible.

I don't understand... how can a token that points to a real world asset like real estate be fungible?

Each parcel of land in unique and can't stand in for any other parcel of land.

The easiest way is to get some bitcoin. Then, transfer it to bittrex and buy Stellar with it.

Not sure what country you are in. But, Uphold is in a lot of places.
