121  Economy / Auctions / Re: Domain bitcoinwallet.id FOR Sale on: March 12, 2015, 01:08:30 AM
Why the f would anyone search google for bitcoinwallet id? that doesn't make sense.

If you search for bitcoinwallet your site doesn't come up on the first 10 pages.

I'm not exposing my trick obviously if I do that you can just code one yourself.. if you want to see if it works or not contact me via skype and we can negotiate a meeting through teamviewer or skype screenshare.

Yes I am sure many people will rather code something themselves than spending 8 bucks. That must be it...

124  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to gamble with 1 BTC on: March 12, 2015, 12:56:38 AM
you must apply the MM (Money Management) if you have 1 BTC at least you can get 10% of 1 BTC /day, that's better than you want get 2 or 3 btc in 1 day
that easy if you play dice with high % chance to win

No it is not. That is just pure luck and in the long run you will always bust if you are playing against a house edge. Money manangement will only last your money longer.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: March 12, 2015, 12:55:33 AM
If martingale worked there would be a lot of dead dice sites but sadly I have tried to use it and end up losing all.

That is actually a good argument. People are still believing in martingale, so you could use that to convince them Wink

People believe in it because in theory, it would work. The reality, though, is that there are two things stopping it:

1) Player bankroll
2) Site max bet allowance

One of these is going to be hit, as neither of these can be infinite. Should these be removed, it would change things, as you could lose millions of times in a row and still not have "lost" yet.

Even in theory there is a third limitation: House could just stop anytime they want to. So if you are down 40 bets in a row, they could just say: "Thanks, good bye"

This is true as well, but we make decisions based on the assumption this won't happen. Otherwise we wouldn't be playing on the site/in that casino regardless as to if we wanted to martingale or not, Smiley.

But it is a good point, that there's also the risk of them running. And in that case, when dealing with cryptos we can throw out another: the risk that the site is hacked (or "hacked") while you're trying to martingale.

That is the problem, there are so many limitations that even theoretical its impossible. But its a nice thought experiment nontheless. People have been grinding their brain on this for centuries for a reason.

The theory would state that you're dealing with a reputable (read: they won't run off) casino and the site/casino can't be hacked, though (or at least would be insured). So it really just deals with the numbers of betting vs. return.

I've run many simulations, trying to find a "sweet spot," including bets that differ from the 2x/50%, such as going to 3x, 4x, etc., and all end up the same way. With that said, I have found methods that statistically are a LOT safer than the straight 2x/50% way, but they all ultimately result in losses at some point.

The question has then always been to me... when do you stop? Mathematically speaking, you have a great chance to build up to SOMETHING. It's the continuing on that causes losses. I have yet to get anything built 2x its starting amount, for what it's worth, though I did come close with one (and it failed after repetition like 41k or so).

It is actually pretty easy to double your starting bankroll if you use 2x. No matter with what amount you start, the chance to double up will be aroung 50% - the houseedge you are betting with.

On the other hand. If you have unlimited funds, its impossible to double them. because you can't double unlimited founds per definition Wink
126  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: SPOTIFY PREMIUM ACCOUNT GENERATOR [Lifetime] on: March 12, 2015, 12:51:33 AM
The generator cracks usernames and passwords. This is useful to start your own shop and make profits off, and this lasts a forever so it will never expire. It is also updated daily.

Please explain how this works roughly. Otherwise this will have to be treated like some money grab attempt.
127  Economy / Services / Re: Buy ANYTHING from AMAZON with BITCOIN at a 25% DISCOUNT - Free USA Shipping on: March 12, 2015, 12:50:23 AM
How can you offer 25%? Even if you are at the source of the cards, they are like 80% of facevalue. Are you able to resell the BTC more expesnive for more giftcards later?
128  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to gamble with 1 BTC on: March 12, 2015, 12:46:13 AM
You could just bet the whole bitcoin on 49%-50% ( depends on the house edge) and win or lose

I prefer this way. You can win or lose money but at least you do not lose your time.

Most gamblers like the time spent on gambling. The rush when the adrenalin shoots in and they see their balance change in a blink of the eye.
129  Economy / Economics / Re: How would a world with BTC as reserve currency look like? on: March 12, 2015, 12:44:25 AM
Other than the fact that the dollar would be destroyed, I don't think there would be much difference.

So if the dollar would be destroyed, don't you think this would have massive consequences, as printing USD is the biggest source of funding for the US govt?
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Would You Have Bid For The USMS Seized BTCs? on: March 12, 2015, 12:40:56 AM
I believe that anybody that would have bid below-market or at-market rates would not have won the auction. The alternative of buying 50,000 coins on the exchanges would drive the price way up, so bidders were already willing to pay at least market rate. In fact, it is possible that the recent rise is the result of auction losers buying on exchanges.

That assumes that there are people who want to buy 50000 coins and would have to otherwise buy on exchanges.

I am pretty sure that this is a rare case.

133  Economy / Economics / How would a world with BTC as reserve currency look like? on: March 12, 2015, 12:34:07 AM
Hey guys,

I was thinking about how the world would change if it used BTC as reserve currency in the future.

- What would need to change for this to happen?
- What would change once it actually is used for it?
- What would be the benefits of this?
- What would be the downside of this?

Lets hear some answers, then I will tell what I think will change. I don't want to bias this thread!

136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guard your Bitcoin with Stainless Steel Cold Storage on: March 12, 2015, 12:24:25 AM
@above

Sure this can be a backup of another wallet, but that would kinda defeat the purpose. My thinking is always, what if my home gets robbed. I still want to retrieve the coins somehow. If that is not possible, I can't use that strategy for storage.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wot if blockchain got to 100 terabit wot then on: March 12, 2015, 12:16:59 AM
Can I just clarify for those reading this and thinking that to use Bitcoin they need to download bitcoin core and wait for hours to download the whole blockchain. This isn't the case at all.
If you want to get started using bitcoin download a light wallet like multibit and leave downloading the blockchain to the miners.

Also, if you are already using core but you don't like it or it's taking up too much space or it's too slow or it's downloading transactions everytime you load it up. It's easy to move your coins to a light wallet and you can just delete the blockchain and uninstall core.
I would like to to that as I downloaded Core just because it was top listet walled when I started to use bitcoin in the past. I did not know difference between wallets back then. I thought that they all need to download whole blockchain to be fully operative. And now I want to ask: it is possible to keep my addresses from Bitcoin Core and export them to different wallet?

Yes you can dump your private keys directly. Or you can import the wallet.dat in pretty much all light and online wallets.
Electrum, multibit and blockchain.info allows it for example.

Please explain very abstract what exactly your program does to circumvent spotifys security to make this possible.

They look really slick, but I don't really understand how this can be safe if there is no backup. Or are you supposed to make 2 identical ones and just keep them at 2 places?
140  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: March 12, 2015, 12:09:17 AM
So Bter will continue to operate and pay back to users? I seriously think it is not a elaborate ruse by Bter. I remember similar situation with MtGox in the past, they said the same exact thing: "we are fine, we recovered from that attack, and we have full liquidity now" - and the truth was they never recover and just masked it - people believed them send them coins and money. Rest of the story is known to us all. So I hope that is not the same story all over again.

Well, atleast BTER doesn't claim to have the full funds. They basically switched the missing BTC for a token called BTC_B and promise to exchange them for real BTC, but only time will tell if they can and want to do this.

Right now everyone got about 7% back.
