This is still being maintained? Tongue

Could be, in the first post of this thread they mention clearing up the dead links and such, that was Dec. 2012.
edit: more telling, last date new news was added 7-18-13
1102  Economy / Reputation / Re: KingofSports Reputation thread on: July 28, 2013, 02:43:12 AM
there is NO PROOF that this guy is the same as the one on seals!! BE CAREFUL

see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=217447.msg2321829#msg2321829

may be a scammer who made the account recently using names he found on Seals to make himself look legit

edit: This is just my guess, I have not traded with him and may be totally wrong. I am just some random guy on the internet, use your own judgement.

my main reason for suspicion explained in this post where his bitcoin address shows up on a shady russian site selling fake BFL ASCII miners, but who knows, maybe it means nothing at all, I am just pointing it out & hopefully am WRONG.

This dude has been here a month and is accusing me of being a scammer. How about you go and post on every person's rep thread saying they could be a scammer since you've never done business with them? All I have EVER tried to do on this site is buy BTC to bet on sports with, it has been a profitable hobby for me. Find someone who says I have scammed them with proof, I'll pay them double back. To be honest I'm quite pissed off. Here is my response to your "claim": I preordered a jalapeno awhile back (still yet to receive it) and listed it on ebay awhile back. I ended the auction early when there were no bids as I realized it would be pointless to sell it there because if it never came I would have to pay the buyer out of pocket. I don't know how it ended up on a russian site, no idea there.

Also I have ALWAYS SAID I am OPEN TO USING ESCROW. If I EVER say I will not use escrow please post it here and I will leave the site permanently.

Just an aside note, the fact that someone has made a successful transaction with another person doesn't necessarily mean they couldn't be a scammer.  The most successful scammers usually work by building up trust by not scamming most or all for a long period.  So if someone scams you when you have dealings with them they are obviously a scammer, but the reverse is not always the case.

I agree with those asking for provable fair.  How many spots are left for promo?

1106  Other / Meta / Re: Activity & new membergroup limits on: July 28, 2013, 12:10:03 AM
The next logical step would be to cut the status of people who haven't posted in X time interval.

You can't be a Hero if you've not posted the past week, you can't be Senior if you've not posted the past month. It'd help with the buying/hacking old accounts to prop scams.

This.
satoshi would wind up being a newbie Cheesy

Edit: he's fixed at "founder"

Nah, he's listed permanently as "Founder".

This is bullsh*t. If your going to do a post/activity ratio crap, you need to have both available next to the avatar. No one is just going to click your profile?

It's discrediting longtime forum members. Please Fix this immediately!!

No, changing people's titles to "Scammer" and "Untrustworthy" despite evidence of the opposite is discrediting longtime forum members. This is allowing long time forum members to be respected for what they actually are--- ACTIVE-- and stop rewarding newbies for creating new accounts and spamming.

Well if it helps.  I suppose people will see someone with Untrustworthy but very high Activity as a very Active Untrustworthy.
1107  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBook.biz - Bitcoin sportsbook - Best odds - Very quick transactions on: July 28, 2013, 12:04:15 AM
Visited this site recently looks better than I expected, and simple to use.  Any chance of getting Live or In-Play betting?
1108  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking to short 1-3 BTC on: July 27, 2013, 11:54:55 PM
Why not use Bitfinex or some other trading platform?

Because he would have to pay a more serious interest rate and not this joke of 2% per 15 days that hes offering

It's probably pretty close to the interest rate there, maybe he already maxed out his leverage though.

Looks nice, seems similar to BTCJam.  This idea is getting more frequent.

1112  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTC-Asia.com - Secure Bitcoin Escrows on: July 27, 2013, 11:22:06 PM
I like your website, fees are very low.  Should do well, there's posts fairly often with people requesting escrow fast.
1113  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Anonymous reloadable VISA cards with own IBAN on: July 27, 2013, 11:16:55 PM
They cost = 30€ including shipping.
Please note that this are not the cheap Brebank or Pekao PLN cards that expire within a few months.
You also dont have to pay conversion fees of 2.8% per EUR transaction, since this are EUR cards.
This are not virtual credit cards (VCC), which users are scammed with here big times.
Also there is nothing shady about the cards, they are issued by a bank and are completely legal.
The cards will be sent insured and trackable.

Interesting, I've bought a prepaid credit card at a store before that aren't very much, i'm not sure what it's features were though, what would be some of the benefits of this card over the typical cheap card that can be bought in some stores?
1114  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: FoxyCart now supports Bitcoin! (Beta Launch) on: July 27, 2013, 11:11:27 PM
Less than a month ago, I posted in this fine forum to gauge the interest in our ecommerce company (FoxyCart) adding Bitcoin support.

Your response blew me away! I was amazed to see @WikileaksDude update the OP with a quote of my post along with a big red "Lets show some love to FoxyCart!" note. We definitely felt the love.

The more I learned about Bitcoin and this community, the more excited I got about supporting it! I even blogged about Bitcoin on my personal blog. We reprioritized some things on our end and have been working on supporting Bitpay as a payment option for our shopping cart platform as well as allowing customers to pay for FoxyCart services using Bitcoin.

We're really excited about this!

We literally just finished up the code today which allows stores on 1.1 to add Bitpay as a payment option. We also retooled our activation page so when you're ready to take your version 1.1 store live, you can pay us with Bitcoin. In addition, we're offering a 5% discount for those who pay for FoxyCart services in Bitcoin.

This is new territory for us. We're taking a chance and hoping it will benefit everyone involved. If you are a web developer or you're working with a developer, please help us spread the word.

As always, you can post in our forums (or here) if you have any questions or concerns: http://forum.foxycart.com

Thank you for your support.

Good to hear it.  I'm going to check out your page.

1118  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone familiar with 796 Exchange? They are offering free stock for signing up. on: July 27, 2013, 10:38:21 PM
What are the shares you guys are talking about? Signed up and I'm still not seeing anything related to it...

I guess the "free" stock is only when Bitcoin is deposited and traded or when referral sign up.  And the withdrawal fee is really high.  So probably not worth it.  I was just curious if anyone had experience with them though.

That was my experience also, they were misleading.  I signed up and then there was some other requirement to fulfill to get the free stock.
1119  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Havelock Investments - Exchange feedback/comments on: July 27, 2013, 10:33:31 PM
The site looks good.  Would like to see more securities available.  How much are listing fees for this site, i didn't see a FAQ or would've checked there?
1120  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would there be an interest for a Bitcoin Gambling Source? | Become the House on: July 27, 2013, 10:29:18 PM
You could propably post a demo that uses play money, and would be easier to get a feel for your software then the video.
