121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 04, 2024, 01:53:33 PM
This is the latest interview of Mike Tyson regarding his fight,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3xInUaRVhY

And he said that this is a real fight, he said that he is scared to death fighting, but he puts it like something that he uses this as motivation, his fear. Yeah, we might find it weird, but there are individuals who thrive in this kind of fear environment.

I like his answers on the interview, it clearly showed how confidence he is in this fight. He mentioned that what he is afraid to do, he do it.. Damn, I like the mentality of this guy, he really is a true champion but it will not eliminate the fact that he is fighting almost half of his age, a young boxer, so I hope that as much as he is hype with himself, he'll be able to bring that in the actual fight.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you considered staking? on: April 03, 2024, 09:46:19 PM
Just out of curiosity,I went to the official website of Ethereum and found that the annual interest rate is only 3.3%.
For some holders, that seems okay, it was just like we were saving our money in the bank with that interest.
But for me, I just keep my ETH in my personal wallet rather than taking a risk in staking it in an exchange wallet. Besides, the interest rate is not convincing and worth enough for a person could decide. But I see some reason why they are afraid to stake their coins even if the rates are high and that is because of the security assurance of our funds. In fact, it is a big concern for everyone, not your keys, not your coins as well. If you stake your ETH in an exchange, you are also losing control of your fund as well and whatever happens (like hacking), you can't assure refunds.
123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New trader's must remember it. on: April 03, 2024, 03:31:09 PM
Greed is the biggest enemy of trading. If you act as a greedy trader, it’s like you break all of these reminders, until you see yourself losing in the end. One mistake will definitely ruin all your plans in trading, so it’s better to start trading only when you already have perceived rightly the reality about trading. However, not all traders tend to follow all of these. Not because they’re not aware, but because it’s certain for individual trader to adopt different strategy from other traders, as long as it shares the same goal for trading, that is to succeed and get profits in the end.

Greed is one of the biggest enemies of a trader but I don't see it as the biggest for all traders. Some traders are greedy but their greed doesn't make them to lose when trading or have a bad trade instead the greed keeps making their to win big when they trade. Every trader has someone that's their big energy when trading. Some of them don't know how to time the market correctly knowing when they should be selling or buying while others don't know how to spot opportunities when they see it. Sometime your greed can help you to not leave the market sooner than when the market will have a market pump. Greed isn't bad when you can use it to your favor but newbies including me have to be careful so it doesn't cause us to lose the little money that we have saved for trading.
Greed is really on us, can't deny it.
As long as we can control our greed, that is okay but in the moment that it will control our mind, that seems to be a big problem. Many people become rich because of this (greed) but somehow, this will also ruin our future and be a reason for losing our hard-earned money in a short period. Greed is already with us and what we need is to balance the situation and always keep in mind what will happen to us when too much greed is in our mind. Whether we are a newbie or not, we should be smart enough to handle our emotions and keep the level of our greediness low.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: April 03, 2024, 01:49:44 PM
You play a skilled base games, you think you can use your skills to win, and since there are a lot of skilled based games, you can choose one that suit your skills, and just focus on it. As for me, I find sports betting very suitable for me because I am personally a fan of sport that's why I'm confident that I will get something like a certain achievemen in the future, and that is being profitable.
If it's still gambling then skill don't really mean anything because you've still got odds to consider, if you've got a bad card in poker, skill in bluffing alone won't help you, you're going to use some logic too, if it's a bad hand then you'll know not to play with it even if you think that your skill to get away with a bluff. Being a fan of sport don't mean that you've got a skill though, my neighbor is an avid fan of basketball but he's the fattest person I've ever seen, I doubt that he can even run. When it comes to gambling, skill is just the other half, the second half is at the mercy of mathematics.

Okay let's focus on sports betting then.. What do you mean by "the mercy of mathematics"?.... By saying skills, I mean not only knowing the game but also knowing how to win sports betting using your knowledge on the game... it's not the skills to play the game or know the game but more like the skills of sports handicapping. You might not get it right away but there's this thing called, "learn from your mistakes", if you can use it positively, you'll be improve to improve your skills to make you profitable in the long run.
125  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A mistake you would surely regret on: April 02, 2024, 09:56:36 PM

Lastly invest what you can afford to lose, or rather stake what you can afford to lose cause I know no matter the advice many read they woudl still invest in shit coins so stake what you can afford to lose.

Yes, greedy people often change their decision especially if someone gives them an offer to earn x1000. Many people have fallen into such a trick and believe this will happen after investing in a scam project. Maybe not often but many times that these words are just ignored. And why? Because we have been driven by our greed and too much love of money thinking that investing in crypto/shitcoins will make us instant rich. And believing that the more we invest in crypto, the more money we get. Not really a wrong decision but it should be put into promising projects like BTC and ETH for some profit assurance, not in shitcoins.
126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Wait for the right set-up on: April 02, 2024, 09:27:28 PM
People actually don't know how important it is to wait for the right set-up, some traders think that the more you trade the more money you make which is very much unlikely, trading doesn't work like that, you might make a lot of money from 5 to 7 trades, and use just only one trade to lose everything including your initial magin.

But waiting for the right set-up gives you an edge in the market, when you trade only when you sees an opportunity, you will mostly comes out profitable, as long as you knows the craft a little, but probing the market every now and then will only make you lose money, because trading is more of patience and knowledge.
The right setup means the right preparation. Indeed, we don't have to be in the battleground if we are in incomplete gear. And just like in trading, we should not be trading if we are not fully equipped with knowledge, skill, and strategies. Unfortunately, the opposite thing happens in most traders, they start trading with an empty mind believing that trading is very easy. Such thinking will bring them to a losing scenario and blame.
Honestly, it was not an excuse because we are newbies as we can find ways to avoid major losses. Although losing is going to happen in trading, it doesn't mean we should just let it happen knowing that we can improve the situation.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: April 02, 2024, 01:33:00 PM
I know that basically gambling is based on luck, but we can use tricks or strategies so that we don't spend a lot of money and can still win, even if it's only a small win.

In general, in my opinion, there are several categories of games in gambling such as house edge games, sportsbooks, slot machine games, live casino games, and lottery. In your opinion, which game do you think is the most logical to win? and what is the reason?

Even in skill-based games, it is crucial to recognize the role of chance.
Finally, I believe that the most reasonable approach to gambling is to play games that involve some level of ability while remaining cognizant of the role that chance plays. This strategy allows players to increase their odds of winning while still enjoying the excitement and fun that gambling can give.

Of course, it's vital to note that gambling should be viewed as a sort of enjoyment rather than a source of income. While it is possible to win money gambling, keep in mind that the house always has an advantage, which means that the odds are always piled against the individual.

128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 02, 2024, 12:43:36 PM
Rockets needs to adjust and keep running to chase the open man, it's tough to protect the arc but it's needed to intercept the outside shots of their opponents, like what you said, they need to protect that area as gunners are just waiting for the outside drop and ready to take it whenever they see the opportunities.
Talent wise it's the Dallas that had the edge, Rockets are just lucky to have a winning streak and still close with the Warriors in replacing them int he 10. But although the Rockets have improve, we cannot deny that the Dallas have been playing their best season so far, so a lose to this hot team is not surprising. In fact, I still think that they will not past first round in case they'll make it to the playoffs, who would they play? The Nuggets? They can't beat the defending champ, but they will lucky if they'll face the OKC as they are also a young team.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold all my shib for litecoin on: April 01, 2024, 09:37:15 PM
Recently I bought around 1000 dollars of litecoin (I sold 1000 dollars of my bitcoin for it) and I've already made a 20% gain. I decided to buy more LTC by selling the 690 dollars of shib bringing the grand total of my litecoin to 2000 dollars USD. Is this bad or does LTC have a future? I've seen a lot about how LTC has a possible ETF in the far future. I am a long holder (5 years at least) btw.
You're doing well, honestly and you can keep doing that this time while the market is in the bullish condition. But in asking if Litecoin is worth investing in, I would say YES. Not in a state that we consider this as the best option to take but granting that this project has been in the market for many years and still performing well, you will never regret it rather than buying shitcoins.
Sell your Shiba Inu while still in the hype and invest in more valuable coins like LTC, ETH, and Matic. However, don't force yourselves to do that if you feel uncomfortable. Besides, you are a holder and have market experience, you already know what you gonna do.
130  Other / Off-topic / Re: No interest in gambling if there is no profit or fun to be accountable. on: April 01, 2024, 02:00:55 PM

To me if profits and funs are not featured in gambling then I don't find any Interest in it

Fun, yes, that's automatic.

However, profits? we don't think of that, we gamble because we want to win, profits is just on the next level like you are treating gambling as a business. You use that profit in business, right? But when we gamble, we either win or loss, that's just it, other than that, it already requires extraordinary skills in order to achieve that "profit" you are talking.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 01, 2024, 12:57:01 PM

Dallas look so unstoppable, Luka just literrally toying the Rockets and we know what would happen if they'll meet in the playoffs in case the Rockets made some miracle. Their loss and a win by the Warriors resulted to a big separation, but they still have a chance though. I'm not surprise they lose, they are the underdog and the Dallas is playing great basketball, if Luka won't score that much, Irving will take over and everyone is ready to make a shot without hesitation.

What I notice about Dallas is their great 3 point shooting, they are good at finding an open man and Luka being the penetrator, he attracts a lot of attention that makes his teammates open.

Yup, with Luka's penetration he can easily attracts the defense and with his IQ he can pass the ball to any open teammates who's ready to take the shot, it's a good bread and butter for this team as you mentioned when Luka take some break Kyrie is his replacement attacking the defense and creating that same space and provide that same level of skillsets.

In the Rockets side, they've been dominated and there's nothing that they can do as even they try their best Mavs always have that good counter to keep the distance away.

The 3 point shooting disparity was huge, Rockets got killed from the outside.

just look at these stats.

Rockets (13-38) 34%
Dallas (24-47) 51%

For a team to shot over 50% from beyond the arc, that means they defense wasn't played wll on them, that's something the Rockets has to learn if they want to have a chance to be in the play-in since the teams they are going to play with are experienced enough, or we can say a playoff teams.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does affilate programs work in casinos? on: March 29, 2024, 02:54:44 PM
You need to be a gambler to become a good affiliate, some casinos have dedicated domains for their affiliate and some of them have tutorials on how to promote their casino, they even provide everything, like banners, bonuses, and giveaways all you have to do is to get your affiliate link and promote on places where casino links are allowed.

Promoting a casino and getting leads is not that easy you need to have your platform and a reputation for gamblers to trust you and sign up using your link because they know you are going to get a portion of what they deposit, which is why some marketers are offering cashback to their referrals and to motivate their referrals to deposit and play more

If you are popular, you can have an arrangement with a casino so you'll be able to promote their casino effectively. Well, I guess basic knowledge is already enough, because if you aren't really a gambler by passion but you have a good online platform where you can promote a casino, it's already a big factor for you to succeed. I'm sure everything will follow once you are inspired upon seeing lots of people are signing up on your referrral, that's actually the challenging part as anyone can learn gambling in just a week or two at max.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: March 29, 2024, 02:07:20 PM
While investment is a totally different from gambling in the sense that you put your money into something or any business and be expected a profit in return in the nearest future
Investment are everywhere in the space, we just have to look good enough and feed myself without concerns from anybody. I've never backdown from the hands of becoming more independent in the space. The nearest future is here, none of us will be taking the mine seriously ad they're should, things will start falling apart. It's a good idea to tender investment in gambling system, it's not difficult as it all appears. I'm talking about the online gambling, they're easy to comprehend and statistically satisfy the need of their important clients.
Investment in gambling isn't about been actively gambling online as that isn't guarantee of giving you the kind of returns rather you still stand the risk a regular gamblers has got and that's actually not investing but gambling actually so I'd you want to invest in gambling it should be such that you will be making profit more often than losses and not such that you will be loosing more than you profit that's not investing that's rather still gambling as we know it to be and not investing.

Investing in gambling could be owning a casino either offline or online, partnering with a casinos both offline or online too you may actually not be actively gambling and still be making profits off the gambling system because that's actually the investment which you have done already with the site and the platform or the partnership where you get a certain percentage either daily, weekly, monthly annually or as the case may be.

Regardless on how you explain investment in gambling, the key points there is to be profitable. Best way is to start a casino, or be one of the investors as most likely casinos will be profitable as long as it's run effectively. With their house edge,  that's the factor that will remain and no one could beat a casino in the long run since they are in control of the system, gamblers can chase losses but casinos always has the right to limit bets to ensure they will remain profitable at the end of the day.

Other is investing on your skills. Like poker or sports betting, if you got skills that will generate money for you, some may call it gambling because they are not consistent, but you got skills you can call it like investing on yourself.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 29, 2024, 05:13:14 AM
I was just playing Hi-Lo, making small dollar bets, if it's 5 number card I select higher card and win, if it's 10 number then I go with 'low' and win.

Then I was greeted with Ace card, minimal possibility for equal card right (i.e, Ace), so I go all in, and guess what happens, the result is Ace means I lost the bet.

Then I have all sorts of thoughts blaming casino, like do they manipulate the result of the game when user goes all in. I am sure they are all fair, it's just that the possibility of losing the game may be minimal but it's never 0.

The fact that you go all  in, you already lose control if it's not part of the plan before you gamble. You might be upset with losing and resulting to you blaming a casino. No, you should not blame a casino especially if a casino has a good reputation, because they'll never manipulate or just a small dollar bet,  what would they get on that anyway? isn't their reputation more important than a "small dollar bets"?
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 29, 2024, 12:03:48 AM
LaMelo Ball is out for the season. He had another problem with an ankle injury. He's a very talented young player but without continuity he's pretty much useless. Had he stayed healthy, the Hornets would be in a much better place today.
He finished the season with playing only 22 games. He played only 184 games in 4 seasons, that's just sad.

The Ball brothers have had their issues with injuries, that's for sure. A shame to see LaMelo's career take a setback like this after such a brilliant start.  He's one of the guys that could be a huge star in the league once LeBron/KD/Steph are gone.  His brother Lonzo's knees have been a major issue for years as well.  Recent footage shows him back dunking on the court and running drills though.  I think he'll probably be back and ready to go for next season, even though several sportscasters have already said his career is over.

It ain't over until it's over. he's trying his best to come back so let's give him a chance. That's the same thing that was describe on Zion before, but look where he is now, he has adjusted and now has remained healthy to help his team in the playoffs. These Ball brothers are still young, they'll be able to come back for sure, if the mind is willing, the body will follow, and I'm pretty sure the management will do everything to protect these player to still be a valuable  asset as they have invested a lot of money on them.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the #1 rule you live by in sports betting? on: March 28, 2024, 09:27:48 AM
Take it seriously. LOL... I mean if you want to make money in sports, you need to take it seriously like you are running a business, as it's just a waste of money if you bet for fun but you are not in control on how much you can afford to lose only. When you are serious, you'll be careful with selecting your picks, you'll not follow your heart but it's your mind as you'll make sure you analyze it well before you pull the trigger.

I have been sports betting for years now, so all I'm saying here is just based on my personal experience, you know, when you can't control yourself, you'll never be happy with sports betting, worst is you'll get addicted and another worst thing would happen to you is you'll become homeless.

So I'm emphasizing it here the word " CONTROL"...............
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not try out a less popular but promising token? on: March 27, 2024, 09:53:31 PM
cost? scam? believe? Data cocoon room? This is probably why we are afraid to buy new token. So, starting tomorrow, I plan to take the first step to learn about an unknown token. Everyone is welcome to recommend, and the flag is here. Grin Grin
It was an individual choice OP. You can do anything, that is your money and decisions. People are giving warnings about the possible results of investing in new tokens/projects and it's up to you to listen or follow the recommendation. If you think it was wrong, then make a try at it just to know and feel why many people are suggesting not.

Because it has been known that new tokens/projects are usually involved in scam issues. People are aware of it which makes them think that it is good to choose established projects like ETH rather than hoping for new projects. Well, new projects offer huge ROI which attracts new investors as well but the question is how reliable they are or just broken promises.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has BTC really become more attractive than gold? on: March 27, 2024, 09:27:15 PM
Gold remains too popular and is still considered by many people who are not risk-takers. Of course, those who have knowledge about crypto will certainly choose Bitcoin.

In fact, I ask some people in my place, and they never know about Bitcoin at all. It means that many are still innocent and do not know about the existence of Bitcoin. Maybe some people hear about it in the news and read on the internet about scam issues, and turn them off. At this time, Bitcoin has not yet won over gold when it talks about popularity and attractiveness due to scam issues and the strict implementation of the SEC.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tim Tszyu - Seabastian Fundora For The WBC And WBO Super Welterweight March 30 on: March 27, 2024, 12:24:50 PM
There it is, "he can't take Tszyu down", that's why he need to be smart and use his advantage. I think Tszyu is not so quick, so if Fundora will be able to figure out how to use his lenght, I won't be surprise that he'll get this win after the end of 12 round. The odds are very attractive, this is worth a shot IMO, just a small bet and we will be fine even if we lose.

I dont know why, but tall people always lose to a much smaller guys in coordination. If Tszyu is not so quick, then Fundora is even slower. That reach advantage can be turned into a disadvantage. With a combination of being tall, long reach leaves more open body. Even if Tims body punches does not do much damage, these accented punches works well for statistics and point in rounds. Dont forget, that got knocked down not only by a punch to a face, but a good punch to a liver also can finish fight early.

That could happen in favor of Tim Tszyu, but upon looking at the record of Fundora, he also had some impressive wins, and via KO. Here, he should maintain his distance as he can't afford to get hit in the body that might result to him losing the stamina if he'll not be KO in one punch. I don't know, but I have a feeling that Tim Tszyu will struggle a bit here as I have not seen him fight a tall boxer like Fundora. If he could follow Canelo's style then maybe he'll win as Canelo is so good when his opponent is very tall.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tim Tszyu - Seabastian Fundora For The WBC And WBO Super Welterweight March 30 on: March 27, 2024, 11:13:42 AM

Have you also considered an upset here? I mean, Fundora has the height and the lenght, if he could use it well on his advantage, he might win via decision.

It's 50/50 for Fundora to get upset, he cannot take down Tzsyu with a single punch, and Tim has been known as a tough guy who can take a punch I just saw their video, and their face-off, Fundora looks intimidating with his height but his power and chin is questionable, if he sticks to his game plan of slugging out with Tim he is likely to lose.
But if he can use his jabs and height advantage he has a good chance, this is the first time Tim Tszyu is fighting a very tall guy, but this is also the first time Fundora will fight a tough fighter, he is tougher than Mendoza who beat him.
