121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You should burst this MYTH on: December 31, 2019, 12:59:44 PM
I often hear people quoting that some country (most of the times China) is positive towards blockchain and are thinking to using it in their country, so they are also  positive towards Bitcoin.

This is just a myth. To be honest Bitcoin and Blockchain are separable. Blockchain can sustain without crypto but crypto cannot without blockchain.

In recent times Bitcoin moved from 7k range to more than 10k may be with the news of China president talking about blockchain. Then people were saying that China is positive towards crypto but things were not that good. And now things are on the same page again.

So burst this myth that where blockchain is Bitcoin will also be there.

Lol. What myth? It's a pretty common knowledge that blockchain and bitcoin are different. It's only for those who haven't dealt with crypto or who doesn't understand it that much that thinks these two are the same. No myths to be busted as most people don't even consider this at all.
122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: it's so hard trading my day now! on: December 31, 2019, 11:33:37 AM
the more difficult my day on trading day, some speculation and predictions that I make are always wrong, and to get profit now it is very difficult for me to get it, are there any other ways and ideas for me to increase my trading, so that I can get a little benefit , please advise and input by the big traders here or those who have more experience in day trading?
For that, I consider watching expert traders via youtube thus I can feel that I'm being mentored personally as most of them enables you to feel that for you to get motivated. I've known a lot of youtubers wethere it's local or foregin. Trust me, they are really motivating and very professional at the same time.
You're right about watching an expert traders video on YouTube but i strongly believe what the OP lack was not understanding how the market revolves because day trading is totally not applicable for every market trend which was the reason he make debt despite his knowledge about price analysis.

He probably should trade with smaller amounts if he's really planning on taking it seriously. It's not that easy being efficient even for long time traders. Experience will be your most important tool so take as much experience, make as much mistakes and learn from them. In time, these will make you a better trader and the losses you have now will eventually turn to gains at certain times.
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: December’s Significance for Bitcoin: All-Time Highs and Bearish Bottoms on: December 31, 2019, 08:28:08 AM
2019 isn't over yet, anything can happen. Either it would bottom to $6k or pump a bit above $7k only. Just my own thoughts guys.

I can tell you. 2019 December will be pretty much stable. No change in positive or negative. Probably 2020 will be not much different.
that would be devastating to bitcoin in a long run then. The thing is that we must pump around the halving, otherwise many people will lose hope in btc and decide to sell it off. If we don't want to end up with the price plunging down, we have to pump soon. However, I must admit that december this year was useless just some chopiness to mess people up

Why would people lose hope if btc doesn't pump after halving? I mean it's a bit foolish to get into bitcoin expecting returns on a certain point, right? Since nothing's really certain about anything in crypto, if you're now expecting a price surge after a certain event, you're already setting yourself up for disappointment. The coming halving may or may not improve the price significantly like before. But i didn't buy and held btc just for that.
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020 Bitcoin halving!!! Bull run??? on: December 31, 2019, 07:51:30 AM
Honestly, Bull run is not my thing anymore, I just want to see Bitcoin price above 15K USD! Bull run not mean Bitcoin at 20K USD like 2017, we have to forget that pump and dump bull run! This year crypto gonna be rock, I feel positive that many big companies will come to the crypto industry and they may open the door for crypto payment! Therefore the most awaiting bitcoin halving is coming! So, overall, the crypto market can see the real bull run this year!

A bull run in Bitcoin that doesn't break the ATH is not a bull run. This may be called a fakeout Cheesy
A real Bitcoin bull run will take us to 50k if it ever happens. I believe it will because it gains support in the lows year after year and 5 years from now this low will be higher than we are now, which will give us a significant margin to move up. Bitcoin will break ATH or die, I don't think it will ever stabilize so you can expect a bull run like in 2017 somewhere in the future. Not necessarily in 2020.

Any constant continue price change can be called bull run if there's no intervention and even if we will not reach the current ATH made by the past 2017 bull run still we are lucky if we bought bitcoins more cheaper since imagine the total percentage we possibly get if the upcoming halving will bring another historic greatness next year.

Lol. A rum doesn't break ath is not a bull run??! Does this dude even know what he's talking about? You all time high is not a parameter for a bull run. It's correct that a sustained rise in price can already be considered as such. Some people just hasn't gotten over what happened in 2017 and we must accept that that kind of run mat not happen again in the future. We're all looking at a steady market movement towards our goal.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme, then fiat is a get poor slow scheme on: December 31, 2019, 05:54:33 AM
I found this quality topic on twitter and it all caught my attention. I have seen that fiat is the currency of the Government and Bitcoin is the currency of the people, Can the Government Crash? if so the people cannot Crash neither, because so many people are not making good business from the fiat than in bitcoin, which have provided so much job opportunities for users who are online. Fiat will be replaced soon by bitcoin.

Share your thoughts

Fiat in the best case scenario is a get poor slowly scheme but if the government makes many mistakes then it can quickly become a get poor quick scheme, we have seen this in many countries in the past and we will continue to see this in the future.

However I do not see fiat being replaced by bitcoin since that will require that governments all over the world admit they are not capable of creating a stable currency and they will never admit that especially with the huge power fiat currencies give to them.

Well if the government makes many mistakes, they have all the means to cover up for it and keep the current system running. Being rich or being poor doesn't depend on the system or the currency. It's the individual that would tell whether they'll be successful or not. Most rich people today came to where they are through hard work. Bitcoin promises a shortcut but you'd likely end up on the losing end if you look at it that way.
126  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: December 30, 2019, 03:46:50 PM
What will happen if crypto vanishes overnight or due to some or the other reason if crypto becomes inaccessible to public? I know this does not make sense as crypto will not vanish but still what if it happens? What about those huge chunk of investments made by whales and other investors?
surely a lot of people will commit suicide and you will see the sharks will have no more voice. Currently, the number of people holding bitcoin and alts is large so when the market collapses, many people will be unemployed and debt. Besides, banks will lose the money they lend, because I know many of my friends borrow from the bank a lot and it can have a negative effect on the economy. of some countries, Southeast Asia will surely be greatly affected.
About your friends who borrow from the bank, maybe you should really warn them before it is too late. In case something like what OP said happen, not means banks will lose money they lend, because people will still must pay them and bank lends people with something as warranty.

Yeah banks would just pile up the interest in case you've been stupid enough to borrow money to put into crypto. And by the time you get a job or a means of income, that's when they run after you without remorse. In general, i think the number of people who'll be largely affected is pretty minor. Up until this point in time, majority still don't own crypto.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube admits error over Bitcoin video purge on: December 30, 2019, 11:58:35 AM
After many issue and talk, at least youtube admitted their fault to end the discussion. I feel bad for those who own the channels that was affected by their mistake because I think it's a must to watch some crypto videos when learning about crypto. That's an easier way to learn and if youtube would just deleted everything, how about those people who wants to learn? I just hope that youtube team will fix this kind of problem not to happen again.

What happens to those channels anyway? Would youtube restore them along with their subscribers? They did admit it was an error right? Though never believed it will have an effect in the crypto industry. It's just too bad if some channels will lose the fruits of their work because of youtube's error.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin never reaches a new ATH? on: December 30, 2019, 10:54:41 AM
If you have high trust in bitcoin, there won't be questions like this.
How many times has bitcoin fallen and been seriously injured, ??
Bitcoin can always rise and penetrate what it has accomplished, be patient with no limits that is what I believe from bitcoin.

You can't tell that for sure. And for all we know, 20k would really be the all time high for btc. And a lot of people will be disappointed. I'm optimistic about bitcoin's future and i'm also rooting for it to break all time high. But if you're holding for the long term, the longer you hold, the more you realize that it's not all about the fiat value. I'll be contented if btc is utilized more and people would realize it's real use. Value would automatically come then.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has gone up the past week. on: December 30, 2019, 09:05:59 AM
Presently at 7,380$ its not too bad to end the year with.
Btc is sure a good choice for high ROI for the new year..DYOR
With current price growth it's good enough to end this year, hoping prices can continue to grow.
Price movements at the end of the year are quite good indeed and I hope that prices can continue to rise

Well considering we ended up almost half that amount last year, of course this is a good progress. We may even have gotten more than we' supposed to lol. I think this coming year is when we'll see significant movement in the market since it seems that the panic has already passed. Hopefully by the end of 2020, we'll get better value that how we'll end this year.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gifting satoshis to future generations on: December 30, 2019, 07:12:46 AM
Well 18 years is quite a long time and a lot of things that the giver did not expect may have happened already during that time. With the speed technology is moving forward, it's not impossible that btc, or crypto, has already been replaced by another alternative to fiat. Bitcoin took almost half that time to be at the point where it is right now and a lot has changed since then. Only time can tell whether it's a good idea or not.
131  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is in mind of those, who against vaccination? on: December 29, 2019, 08:40:07 AM
For me, I think vaccination should be a decision for oneself. An adult should make a decision while child should be vaccinated by default up until when he can make a decision as to whether he wants to continue or not. For someone who have lived or know someone who has been plagued by polio would know that vaccination is a serious issue that children or parents be given the option to opt out from that kind of treatment because its simply a way to excuse the life of unending pain.

Im not sure why people would opt not to be vaccinated as they're already proven to work. And parents chooaing fo not get their children vaccinated is beyond me. I mean, if you're thinking about the welfare of your kids, then you should know that you're putting then at bigger risks if you don't give them shots. Most common diseases that killed a lot of people before can be negated by simple vaccines.
132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with planning on: December 29, 2019, 04:53:52 AM
You need a trading strategy but also you need to study the charts. Be prepared for volatility and know in advance how to react if the market makes a move in either direction.

It's also essential to keep yourself updated with what's going on in the market. That should always be part of the plan as most of the time, the movement of the market is based on news and upcoming changes. Not saying that actually determines the volatility, but it affects it largely. You have to be flexible and be ready to react and take advantage of the good news and bad news.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC- When it back to 20k on: December 29, 2019, 02:59:47 AM
Quote from: xen1oph link=topic=5192689.msg53461232#msg53461232
Sorry, but I don’t know when Bitcoin will again be 20K. I can only say that this will happen in the near future. That's all I can say now.

Well, with the volatility of bitcoin, as well as other crypto currencies, we don't know what might happen in the future. All we know is we need to be patient since the price chart will be the only one who can dictate what might happen, and obviously we as an investor is also needed to that because without it, it will crash down.
for now, we can only wait. I know that many can't wait to see the price of bitcoin reach $ 20,000 again. the potential is upfront, but it's not 100%. However, no one knows the exact time, but we all have hopes to see the price of bitcoin in 2020. But, I also believe that this will not be that easy because bitcoin prices can go up and down quickly because of their volatility.

I'm not hoping for it to hit 20k next year though. If it comes, it comes. The possibilities are broad at this point. I'm just not expecting the same run we had last 2017. 20k may not even be the all time high and the price go well beyond that but to expect would be to court disappointment. As long as I'm holding my bag of bitcoins, I don't really care of it goes to 20k or not next year. I'm sure I'm going to be in profit the time I decide to exit the market.
134  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Protest can give the right solutions? on: December 28, 2019, 08:47:01 AM
Well it's not the same for all governments. Some are democratic governments are pretty tolerant towards protesters and sincerely listen to their plights. Some, like in hong kong, end up pretty violently. The side of the protesters also don't prove to have the right solutions. They fight for what they think is right on a certain issue though that can end up having worse results.
135  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you function in a dishonest Society? on: December 28, 2019, 07:07:30 AM
Well, equip yourself with the means and knowledge to make sure you and your loved ones survive. I don't believe that any society can be totally dishonest. There will be people who will value their morals over stepping on others just to get an advantage. It's a case of me not trying to be dishonest to take advantage of other peoole, but you'll get what you deserve when you feed me bs.
136  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How do you avoid high withdrawal fees from exchanges? on: December 28, 2019, 06:16:27 AM
Try converting to a liquid and not highly volatile altcoin that is high enough in value that you won't be penalized significantly % wise if you cross the spread,

and still low enough in satoshi terms that the withdrawal fees will be economical.

One example is TRX, its fast transactions also insure that the risk of market fluctuation will be minimal...

Yeah or doge. The transaction time of cheap alts are considerably faster and a while lot cheaper. Though for withdrawals, i don't think a lot of wallets have trx or doge to dollar conversions. I use ripple for that. Withdrawing in btc of course is expensive and a lot of traders avoid using btc to usd for transfers and withdrawals.
137  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should we focus this year? on: December 27, 2019, 09:00:44 AM
It seems to me over the past year and a half that the crypto market has taught us one main thing - you need to be flexible and rely only on yourself.
For me, this means the need to expand our own boundaries of investing outside the cryptocurrency market.
The diversification of my assets should be much more universal than before. In view of this, I am considering other investment profiles, in a more classic format.

The year is almost over now and we should just be thankful with those things that  had happened this year, whether it is good or not, what matters is that we've been grateful and we've given so much knowledge and opportunity again that we will bring this upcoming year, so hope and I wish everyone will have a great New year.
Indeed. We should grateful on what is happening right now, even we experience a lot of ups and downs in the market this year of 2019. Good thing that bitcoin is starting to get back it's price again, so i think we should still focus on our investments because there is still a chance that it could increased it's price even more, especially for bitcoin.
We should be really ready for the year 2020 because i think many good things will happen to cryptocurrency, specially with bitcoin because of its halving. Lots of companies also having cryptocurrency in their projects like samsung and many more so invest now while the market is still low and prepare for the things coming after 2019 ends.

A lot of people said that last year with btc going on a downward spiral. A lot of them didn't expect that we'd be in the position we are this year with btc staying steady above 7k. For me, i'd say i'd focus on other things outside crypto first. I'm holding a good bag of btc and my preferred alts and i don't plan on being aggressive trading with them. A good way to avoid getting carried away with market movement when you're holding is to keep your attention on other things.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time for YouTube to vanish ... on: December 27, 2019, 08:29:11 AM
I was watching a documentary on youtube a few weeks ago and they have strange rules when it comes to banning content.
The ceo was saying they are allowed to ban videos which they feel are against their terms of service.
For instance they can keep a video of hitler up due to it being historic content but as soon as some one puts up the same video with a watermark symbol of a arian gyphic in the far right corner used to recruit they take it down.
So it is not a big surprise if they are banning certain crypto content which dont follow these strange guidelines they uphold.

Well the bottomline is, their site, their rules. Regardless of how strange their guidelines are, or you can even call it bias, you have to abide by them or get booted out. I'm not sure as to why the crackdown on crypto videos, but hey, as if we can do anything about it? There are a lot more mediums we can use to view crypto-related videos anyway.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Merry Christmas to All Bitcoin Users! on: December 27, 2019, 07:13:50 AM
It's just an hour left before christmas day is over in my country. But it is never too late to greet everyone a

Merry Merry Merry Christmas.

My New Year's Resolution to bitcoin and cryptocurrency:
1. HODL
2. INVEST
3. RESIST
4. TRY NEW OTHER THINGS

Mine is

Earn. Invest. Hodl. HODL. HODL.

Happy holidays 😁 i'm not sure if everyone here celebrates christmas but nonetheless, hope everyone's doing well. I guess it's the same for my resolutions. Trade a little with some alts, hoard all the bitcoin i can. I still think the top coin in the market will make it big for me in the future, of not for next year lol.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fight against Bitcoin is coming. Are we ready?! on: December 26, 2019, 03:24:48 PM
I don't understand why anyone would try to stop bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, perhaps they fear the future.
Some countries have tried to stop bitcoin, but again nothing. This is probably because they understand that there is nothing wrong with bitcoin, only good.
No one will ever stop bitcoin.
Of course, you need to understand that the government today is not ready to accept bitcoin. The government can harm itself, thereby infringing on the rights of Bitcoin consumers and those who are involved in mining Bitcoin. It is necessary to ensure that both sides do not go into conflict.

Governments are going to keep their control over the people and the economy, they can't do it when bitcoin is borderless. They wold need to regulate the market and the money coming into it because the citizen has to be protected too when it comes to scam. Some government are already adopting to crypto but some are just going to keep the battle. Bitcoin is already too big to fail and I think its been ready to fight against those who stops it.

I'm not even remotely concerned about it though. Governments like china banned its use and trading exchanges yet changed heart recently. And even though bitcoin has had a bad reputation with fraud, scams and heavy dumps, i think people are slowly becoming aware of it and its transactional use and investment potential.
