I mean the Warren Buffett who has made more than $1 billion from investing.
Just remember, he didn't get rich by gambling on common shares bought through stockbrokers. He got rich by buying controlling interests in companies, restructuring them, and returning them to profitability.

Good morning and Happy Lunar New Year Bitcoinland. The year of the Bull has begun. Wealth and prosperity to all (except shitcoiners).
After yesterday's ATH ($49000 Stamp) we've settled back into $4xxxx consolidation mode... currently $47401USD/$60368CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
Slow and steady wins the race. Go Bitcoin go. ___
Remember: It's not about blockchain and crypto. It's about Bitcoin.

Warren Buffett has said be greedy when everyone is fearful, be fearful when everyone is greedy.
Warren Buffett? You mean the guy who called Bitcoin "rat poison squared"?

4 in a row at the top, all February.
Let's keep the new streak alive tomorrow.

You should be ignoring Twitter entirely. It only decreases your IQ.
Exactly. Same can be said for Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Youtube, etc.

Trash-80 COCO > Comodore 64.
Absolutely. After my MC-10 I got a Coco, then a Coco2, and then a Coco3. The only advantage the C-64 had was a built-in FDD, but that was half the fun... installing the 512KB memory upgrade, third-party FDD controller, and external drive. By the time I installed Microware OS9/6809, I was rockin' with multi-user, multi-tasking goodness. Installed "Deskmate" a GUI-based desktop suite. The only problem was that I had no mouse so I used a joystick to move the cursor. Shortly after that I decided to take a break from computers and come back when they were more user-friendly. That was with the arrival of Win95. It took a while to get used to using a mouse instead of a joystick.

Ah, those were the days... cassette tape i/o, command line UI, system RAM measured in kilobytes, saving up to buy a FDD controller and drive... but we felt so cutting edge at the time... kinda like Bitcoin a few years back.
My first computer ... Robotron KC 85/3 (Made in GDR) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KC_85Mine was a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K. Made in the UK. Featured here in an earlier post. Still have it (complete with box, PSU and "Horizons" cassette tape). Still working (last time I checked, 30 years ago). Mine was a Trash-80 MC-10... 4KB RAM, upgraded to 20KB.

I remember 56k damn that thing was slow!
Not as slow as 300 baud. Sparta grabbed the meme for $300. Will we post pictures of dial-up modems for $56k? My first Model was a 28.8k High Speed Machine ... Btw... Watch the movie hackers. They talk about super fast 28.8k Modems My first 300 baud modem didn't even connect automatically. You had to listen for the modem at the other end and manually flip a switch. Number 2 across the board.
At least a new streak is born... top 3 days are all in February.
|
|
|
It looks like the streak ends after only 2 consecutive jackpots.
Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
As far as the 2021 streak is concerned, that's no longer at risk. It will continue until 2022.

I was looking through one of my old collections of downloaded images and I found this gem. I'll dedicate it to Mindrust.

This place was always special to me. Still salty about the you-know-what but I'll pop in from time to time.
Sorry it too so long so welcome you back. I was always a big Chartbuddy fan. Hopefully you're considerably wealthier now (or would have been if not for that terrible boating accident). ... bring back ChartBuddy.
#bringbackchartbuddy
I'll second that. Can't you just start again from scratch?

I have a great little truck. Should last me 10 more years. Assuming I can still buy diesel.
I haven't had a driver's license since 1966 but I've owned diesel generators. A few years back we had a so-called "energy crisis" and the price of gas and diesel went sky high. I noticed that I could buy vegetable oil at the discount food store a lot cheaper than diesel. Try doing that with gasoline. Alcohol is too expensive and illegal to distill at home in quantity in most places.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Down a wee this morning... currently $44535USD/$56504CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Are we heading into a month of $4xxxx sideways just like the month of $3xxxx sideways we just endured? ____ All this talk of cars. I can think of better things to spend my bitcoins on:
|
|
|
...you can go play the lottery or cryptocurrencies and not invest in cryptocurrencies Bitcoin.
FTFY

|
...We will certainly keep the yearly streak alive for another day...
I don't think that's an issue any more. I can't see it ever going under $30k again. Now it's about how many consecutive ATH jackpots we can ring up.

Good morning Bitcoinland.
Another day, another ATH ($48216 Stamp), a nice little $3k correction to keep things honest, and a bounce more than halfway back up.... currently $46881USD/$59635CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
All is well in Bitcoinland. Go Bitcoin go.

Hit $60165CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
Another milestone passed.
Go Bitcoin go.

So Elon Musk promotes dogecoin but buys Bitcoin? And people still buy doge? Hmmmm
He didn't promote Memecoin. It was a joke. I can't believe anyone actually took that shit seriously. They deserve to stay poor.
