Recently I came across an article that celebrated the Indian stock market's performance. It seems the Indian stock market has delivered a 10.9% return, which is higher than the US & China. It is great news that the Indian economy is shining and growth has been straight upward in the last decade. As an Indian, it makes me proud when I recall where we were in 2013 to where we are now in 2023. Within that emotional outburst of pride in my mind, a strange question popped up, which was to compare the ROI both from Bitcoin and the Stock Market. Let's do the math for the Indian Stock Market. If you had invested $100 ten years back with an ROI of 10.9%, your money would have become $235 approximately by now. Not bad considering not many bank FDs or mutual funds are able to generate such an ROI. Now, let's do the math for Bitcoin. Again, the investment amount in this case would be $100. In August of 2013, the average price of Bitcoin was $135. Considering the price, you would have bought 0.74 Bitcoin. In August of 2023, the average price of Bitcoin was $27,297, which would result in your $100 investment growing to $20,200 ten years later. That is a 201 times return on your initial investment of $100 or, in simple words, a 20100% return. Think again - which is better, Bitcoin or the Stock Market? If you are someone with diamond hands, then Bitcoin is the right investment. The potential for enormous growth and returns far exceeds traditional investments. |

Pakistan team is looking very good and promising in this tournament. The way they ruled in the match against Bangladesh was outstanding. Pakistani bowling attack has been always good, yesterday it was Rauf and Shah that made it a powerhouse. Bangladesh batters were looking like a bunch of amature against them. 193 is not a target that can be defended in a ODI and thats what happened. By losing only 3 wickets Pakistan was able to chase that target and win the match.

I am amazed to see how India has been progressing in the Fintech sector. After this launch, I do not think we will require debit cards in the future. This innovation of UPI-based ATMs might become the most secure way of withdrawing cash. The only issue would be to make our older generation learn how to use such ATMs. Already they are struggling to use UPI for day-to-day transactions. Still, I would say it is a huge achievement and such innovation would help India to become a global economic giant in the future.

It was not us but the Britishers named India when it was a unified country. The name India is derived from the Indus civilization, which presently is held in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Another reason to change the name as it does not symbolize our country in any way. The Constitution of India, wherein Part 1 of Article 1 clearly mentions India that is Bharat. So technically our constitution allows both the names, India and Bharat to be used officially. Yes, the G-20 invitation sent by the President did mention the President of Bharat. That does not mean that the name India will be dispensed officially. It is still unclear what is going to happen next. The government has called for a special session of Parliament and after it concludes we may know officially. At the moment there is suspense on this topic, indications are that the name change can happen. Personally, I think we should completely shed our colonial past by renaming our country as Bharat. |

That was exceptional from AFG, the way they have batted was not expected by many. Nabi played a gem of an innings. Unfortunately for AFG, I think, they don't know that after 37.1 overs if they hit a six in the next three balls, they would still qualify. It was a really great match for the fans, never expected Afghanistan to come this close and once they reached touching distance, i expected them to win the match, one hell of a knock by Mohammad Nabi and the rest of the tail enders chips in with crucial knocks but disappointed when they could not win the match even with plenty of overs to spare even if you ignore the qualification aspect. Nabi basically changed the scoreboard for Afghanistan but sadly nobody could have imagined that Afghanistan would lose by two runs in the last minute. But one thing is very important if Rashid Khan was on strike at the end and could have batted with a single off the last ball of the over then maybe Afghanistan could have won the match. Fazlhaq Farooqui and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, two inexperienced batsmen, were the reason behind Afghanistan's defeat in yesterday's match with consecutive wickets collecting Golden Ducks. Afghanistan losing the match against Sri Lanka was a big surprise to me as well. I would say Nabi and Rashid Khan did everything that is required to get Afghanistan into the Super 4. At the end of the match, the disappointment of missing out by just 2 runs was showing on the face of Rashid Khan. Another disappointment was Mendis unable to reach his century, while other Srilankan batters were struggling against the Afghan bowling attack, he was quietly playing his part. It was indeed an exciting and close ODI match that we watched yesterday in this tournament. We all were expecting the India vs Pakistan match to deliver the same level of excitement and close ending. We couldn't due to the frustrating rain but we got the same amount of adrenaline rush yesterday. |

Few months back there was an article on Bhutan on how the Kingdom has been secretly mining Bitcoin using natural resources. When they are mining using green energy why would they need to spend money on electricity. I am not sure why was Bhutan mentioned in this article. If the King is mining will he allow his citizens to venture into this direction. I do not think so. |

An exciting match getting abandoned due to the rain. I was expecting to see Pakistan batting and chasing a target of 267. I never expected that the match will get abandoned. Both team get 1 points each. While Pakistan qualifies for the super 4 stage in the Asia Cup, India is distant behind for now.
Afridi and Naseem were responsible for the small target by India. If Ishan and Hardik had not played well then the target would have been less than 200. This time the Indian middle order was able to hadle the pressure. Bhumbra played far better than the Indian batting top order. I never expected Gill to struggle so much against the Pakistani bowling power. He was worst than Rohit & Kohli in this match as he was able to score just 10 runs after facing 32 balls.
Next match is between India and Nepal. I don't think India will have much issues with the weaker Nepali side. The only problem would be rain as it can cause the match to get abandoned.
I had a feeling yesterday, when the match got interrupted twice due to rain that this match would get abandoned. This time of the year organizing a tournament in Srilanka is a big mistake. Other upcoming matches might get affected due to rain. The next match between India & Nepal is being played on the same ground. The fate of that match can be similar to yesterdays match. |

Is anyone here actually gambling on horse racing?
Never enjoyed betting on any games that is termed cruel. You van search the internet and you find the cruelty of horse racing. Both the jockey and the horse are at great risk of getting injured while racing. There have been incidents reported in the media where these young colt have died due to racing. In such situation how can anyone bet on such a game. It is far better to bet on sports like football and others. It's is nothing but my choice that I avoid gambling in such games. |

The weather forecast for Kandy doesn't look good. Rain might play a spoil sport for the highly anticipated match in this tournament. I won't be happy if duckworth Lewis is used or the match gets abandoned. This time of the year rain is predicted in Srilanka.
Pakistan is all geared up for the match but India is still in dilemma to choose between Shami or Thakur. Considering the batting abilities of Thakur I think they should go with him. In worst scenario if the upper batting line-up doesn't perform he could come handy.

Bitcoin is not a fiat currency which needs Individual identity. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency with a symbol as a resemblance to its existence. You can add it's symbol in any ways you want there is nothing wrong with that. I personally prefer adding the BTC1 before the numbers. When I am not putting the symbol I generally add BTC after the number. It all depends on you as an independent Individual where you want it to be.

Never expected Bangladesh to play so badly against Srilanka. Pathirana I guess was exceptionally good yesterday. The fielding of Srilankan players were spot on. They were able to suffocate Bongs batter from the first over. 164 is not an ideal target for a ODI and that too in a tournament. Srilankan batters were not that good too, it was evident they were struggling on that pitch. It took them 39 overs and 5 wickets to chase such a small target.

That is a proposal for the moment but it might become a reality. If that happens then DEX and Web3 wallets providers would ask their customers to pass KYC. No more anoymity and zero privacy in the making. The worst would be that every country would follow the US if this proposal becomes a law.

Unless and until you are into trading or want to do a transaction of fixed amount, it is good if you stay away from stablecoin. They are lot more risk & uncertainty involved in keeping stablecoin. It is better to always have Bitcoin over any other cryptocurrency, if you want to convert your fiat to crypto.
