1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Counted Or Estimate All Your Losses And.... on: November 15, 2019, 04:31:13 AM
Not really, I don’t because I might only be stressed knowing how much i’ve lost already even though I only use my spare money. For me, trying to count your losses will only add pressure on you playing most especially if you’ve lost a lot already. If you gamble just do it for fun and don’t bet big so that you will not lose big as well.

People who play for fun and enjoyment does not really have to count losses because you would be in a state where you will stop after some time as you do not gamble just to make money out of it. Also good thing is that you play with just spare money and just which is used for your daily purpose.

Bangladesh could not even manage to score 200+ runs in their first innings and got all out very quickly for just 150 runs. India is cruising ahead with 105/2 and easily set to reach 350+ runs and might need not require to bat 2nd if they can take lead of like 250+ runs.
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: November 14, 2019, 02:15:07 PM
Surely luck matters in gambling as I know to become a good gambler you must have good luck that can make you win but to become a professional gambler only luck cannot make you win but you must have skills and you must have plenty of knowledge to win with the tricks and also you should have experience and guts to face risk of gambling.
Even the professional gamblers are losing some money. Its just a matter on when they will stop (self control).

Professional gamblers (if there are) know when to stop and when to play. If they know that they aren't lucky at that time then they will stop and call it a day. Even the most skilled and the most experienced gamblers doesn't win all the time. For me, it will be a matter of if you are lucky or not
Agree with you, a good gambler must know when it is time to gamble and when it is time to stop gambling. Just manage your money for gambling and never cross your limit when you feel you are in trouble just stop gambling for some time then again you can gamble later when you become mentally relax as lose gives stress even if it’s miner lose.

People who has self discipline will be able to control their emotions and not become too greedy and lose out money. They will know when to play and when to pause and take a break. This people actually make money for them self and rest lose out the money to gambling owners.

1204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Loan app on: November 14, 2019, 02:11:11 PM
This kind of situation may overcome just don’t pressure yourself. Despite many loans you have just to play in gambling and lose it all, there are still many good things to do. Be still positive and do an arrangement of payment that you can afford to pay even it takes time to complete all your loans. Focus on other things and committing suicide is not the solution to this kind of problem.

If some one who has understood his mistake and ready to rectify it will overcome it . It would take some time as would not be easy to come out of it and make necessary changes in order to avoid it and not to repeat same mistake. Also focus on other things which will help to genrate money source for you.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: November 14, 2019, 06:31:30 AM
Honestly I don't know like most of the other gamblers, because we may win many times but still wanted to gamble so any amount can't make us to stop from betting but if someone really new to betting but they won in few millions then they might quit gambling for a reason.

May be the need of the people varies and some has some loan or debt to repay or require some extra money for something and some just gamble to pull out hat extra money from gambling, may be that would be one of the reason and that amount could stop them once they achieve it. But more likely greedy behaviour of a person would not prevent them to continue gambling.
1206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to control your emotions while trading?👨🏼‍💻 on: November 13, 2019, 05:28:36 PM
This one is really hard bcoz of greed and FOMO, I admit this is one of my flaws
but I know it is possible if you have set your attitude right and have self-discipline.

If you believe in yourself you will be able to overcome it easily as you will have discipline in life and not be greedy that you want more and more . This will help you to restrict yourself and have a fixed goal for yourself and once you achieve it you will stop it.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 13, 2019, 05:26:17 PM
While Mzansi Super League is still in progress (Today Bay Giants will take on Tshwane Spartans), we have another T10 league starting from 15 in Abu Dhabi. We will daily have 3 matches in  T10 league for the next 10 days. We have too much cricket to follow for the next few days. It will be exciting to watch all these matches.

T10 is going to be so much fun and might be in coming time we have IPL like formation coming up for T10 as well where al the world class players would participate and make it more fun just like T20 IPL is based . Looking forward for it .
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: November 13, 2019, 02:38:49 PM
In random games, it does not really matter what a gambler is playing or who experienced he is, because the outcomes are always random. No one can really guess it and the crowd just tries to have fun.
I think you are confusing between games that have EV- outcome and those which have EV+ outcome. The former group is games like dice where you just bet on whichever side you think the dice will roll and let your luck do its work. In EV+ games a lot of skills come into play. Here the analysis of teams and players is important. Games like sports betting, poker come in this category.

So if you are going for a EV+ game then betting against the majority is not a bad thing provided your reasons are strong enough that the minority team will win.

You are right, in sports betting its like that, if you have good and strong reason to go against majority just do it. Good teams, in individual sports good players, are winning most of the time, but not all the time, even the best ones lose from time to time, to bet on their loss and win is not unusual. Every week we have favorites that lose, its hard to find those games, you really need to know the game, the teams and to search for that potential surprise. Odds on underdogs can be very high, so winning that bet can be very profitable.

If someone who’s is aware about the team and their strategy of how those play the games against the opponent and quite sure about their chances of winning should continue betting on their favourite site irrespective what the majority says . In fact higher chances of you making more money as odds would be high in such cases and you can make a lot of money by going other way.

OP has the right to motivation and broad thinking to solve problems. But are all of our suggestions here read and heard ?
OP has left the thread since he wrote here, and I think all the suggestions will be in vain for him. Maybe the OP is dead if he really wants to commit suicide or he runs and hides somewhere else.

This thread would be useful to many thousand other users who are new in gambling or going to start or want motivation to quit it . This will give them the gist that suciside is not a solution to anything . Self discipline and control will help them to come out of any situation and start making changes for themself .

Tomorrow we have a first t20 match between Afghanistan VS West Indies this time Afghanistan can have any chance to win t20 series because Afghanistan t20 squad have good all-rounders players compared with West indies please share your thoughts here.

WI team has a good Vance to win it as they are a better in T20 than the other formats and considering the WI has won the game against the opponent also makes their confidence high and to play the best cricket to win the series as well .
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: November 13, 2019, 06:33:56 AM
The longest break I've had was over a year, I have 12 hours of work I have a hard time going online because of time limitation, it's not so hard for me actually, because gambling is only past time and I only bet a small amount, I can leave gambling and I can go back if I like to come back anytime.

It is good that you are flexible enough and not rigid or addicted that you cannot leave the gambling easily . This will help you to quit anytime whenever it is needed and take a long break as well if the need be and stay away  from it .
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Agree To Publicize Your Journey From Being Chronic Gambler on: November 12, 2019, 04:19:46 PM
I think many would do this beacuse generally it is like a biopic that would be released and you would also get lost of money. Also it was past and how you recovered could be a positive sign and inspirational for others so many would do it.
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: November 12, 2019, 04:16:24 PM
yes you can stop from gambling without money involved and those gamblers are usually play for the sake of fun/entertainment but for the gambler that plays for profit , he will also stop once he reache his targeted amount but he can also stop once he dont have a bankroll to play with   . in case of winning the jackpot , its not guarantee that some gamblers will stop but they tend to play more because they think that they are lucky and they have now alot of capital to play with  .

I think people who play for money would not be able to stop it irrespective of they achieve the target or not beacuse people are generally greedy and would like to make more money . Only few disciplined persons might stop it .
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Counted Or Estimate All Your Losses And.... on: November 12, 2019, 06:40:59 AM
I’ve stop gambling for years now, but I had an experience before that once in my life I've become addicted to gambling. When remembering those days that I had experience losses in gambling, I feel regret losing money that it could buy worthy stuff. When we estimate losses it may hurt our ego and need to control emotions towards playing in gambling so good thing I’ve come up to stop this year.

One thing is good that you decided to come out of it and doing well now without gambling as well . Else those who get addicted to it can lose lot of money and also may. It come out of it . People should learn from this experiences and also keep a tab of their losses.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: November 11, 2019, 05:18:42 PM
I want to ask my fellow gamblers here, what is the worst thing you have done for your gambling hobby or habit? Have you come to the point of getting addicted to it and how did you counter it?
The dumbest thing I have ever done was to sell some valuable things to stake. I just thought victory would return what I had sold. But it all ended in failure and until finally I realized that my actions were truly stupid. Will not repeat it.

As you already mention it was dumbest act so would not say more on it but for others very important that one should learn from others mistake and do not repeat it as it can prove very costly and you could lose lot of money as well.

Hope ensured that the WI hope do not die if he had got out early Afghan would have got the match in their side and even would have won it . WI is a good side if all the players play as a team could beat the good teams too .
1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have anyone tried to stop gamblers from losing while they keep on wagering. on: November 11, 2019, 06:57:15 AM
For me, I would rather advice the player and save him from losing.
...
Ideally, it’s better not to advise people but in my religion, it is wrong to see a brother making mistake and staying mute.
I understand that your intention was good mate. However, your method of directly confronting your friend when he was playing is generally a bad idea. If you want to give some advice to your friend, do it before or after the game, in a comfortable coffee shop, etc. It is to avoid any conflict that might arise when a person is under certain pressure and/or under the influence of alcohol, just like others have mentioned. You cannot reason with a person who is not thinking rational.

Whats the use of advising the friend, when the game is over ? If you are a sincere friend, you should warn him if you see he is wagering too much and is on the losing side. He might be angry at that moment with you, but surely he will be thankful to you later when he will realize his mistake and you save him big money.

You can tell him and let him know the consequences of it but final decision will rest upon him and in gambling mostly when greed overpowers people do not listen to friends as well and you cannot do much in such a situation .
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact on gambling on: November 11, 2019, 06:31:53 AM
In gambling, no other factors are as important as the luck factor. All other factors are small and they hardly impact. They are like countries with no power. And luck is a super power which can agree with them or veto them anytime it wants Wink

Luck is definitely the biggest factor that drives if you will win or not and other factor I think is discpline because at times you will win but greed that will motivate you to play more and in the end you would lose the money where the control comes in power.
1219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 10, 2019, 06:19:25 PM
Chahar changed the game itself by picking the 6 wickets for 7 runs which is totally unbelievable as in T20 picking so many wickets itself is a big thing . India won the series by 2-1 and played better game of cricket and deserved to win it .
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: November 10, 2019, 04:46:27 PM
Borrowed $1600 from my friend. Apart from this placed gold as collateral and got $250. Altogether with hope of returning the borrowed amount and taking the gold back started to play dice after a long. At the beginning it went good, and when my profit reached $200 started to fail. Once I began to loss I was out of my control. Within minutes everything went out of my control, my mind didn't had the ability to think. I just doubled the bets consecutively. Ended with a loss. Now I was in a situation to repay my friend the borrowed amount. Please don't borrow and spend on gambling, it might give an earning, but that mostly leads to suffering. Cry

yes this is gambling, if from borrowing money to play it will have a greater burden to win, emotions can not be controlled and finally as like digging your own grave.

Borrowing money to gamble is the biggest and most dangerous mistake according to me because you would always be under pressure to gave back money and till that time you would have a lot of stress and would do anything to get money which could even involve wrong doings.
