Are there alternative online wallets to Devda.ch or is that it for DVC?
Also, offline wallets. I tried the one at the top of this page, but when I downloaded it, it didn't work. Here is the really cool part, you can use bitcoin offline wallets for devcoin. They use the same addresses/private keys. So you can send dvc to a btc address. Then recover them with the private key of that wallet on a devcoin client later.

We had discussed it with unthinkingbit on the outset. But it was outside the range that DVC could support at the time for project costs. But you have a good point, it might not be outside that realm now that DVC has grown so much since last year.

When we have completed production units, that is exactly what we are going to do, I think I mentioned it elsewhere as a white paper.

and i can assume you made it already?
Made does not mean its production worthy yet.

Seed nodes - basically long standing nodes run on servers rather than desktops - setup with DNS to share the load over the hosts.
DNS round-robin for the domain name dvc.public.txn.co.in shares all traffic over the nodes and specific host names to allow people to pick the one they feel is closer.
At some point the DNS package will be upgraded to provide geoDNS - allowing a single dns name to be used and the closest host to them will be automatically selected.
dvc.us.public.txn.co.in Being USA Based. dvc.eu.public.txn.co.in Being EUR Based. dvc.public.txn.co.in Being a mode of sharing the traffic across all nodes.
I am looking into locating one in probably Hong Kong, that should give us a good spread cross the globe.

Judging by this thread and the other LTC fpga thread, whoever makes ships or starts hashing with the first $crypt fpga is going to be rich. Good luck Laseek and Jasinlee, I'm pulling for you guys! FTFY

Now if only ppc's dev would publish any documentation explaining his code instead of trolling on sockpuppets saying oh this is the best thing ever. Everyone look at my PP its beautiful touch it!

Yes, but you can only pay in NVC (sarcasm).

I too look forward to this development.
I should have a bunch of info to post in the next week hopefully. Stay tuned.

if you need a "node" always online then pm me, i can setup one node to stay 24/24 online
Please make one, you'll get devcoins for it for as long as you maintain it. If you have any questions about what is required, ask Mark. A full dvc node?

Are we going to get an Exchange or not?
Rude? Patience is a virtue.

There is a bounty to correct this a couple pages back it was discussed.

It is in the alternative crypto section. There are several threads. LTC FPGA Discussion should yield results in your search.

Hi, I have a clarifying question about earning coins by writing for the wiki. I just submitted an article ( http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=meditation) that was over a thousand words, but I still don't think I'm entirely finished with it. Say I get rewarded for the words I wrote, but later I want to add to the article, can I still get rewarded for later additions? Also, what about contributing to articles others have written, how would the rewards work in this case (or is editing others' articles not allowed)? Yes, if you add additional words to an article you have already written later on, you will be paid for those additional words automatically in the next months generation shares, when the script is run to calculate and generate the generation share payouts. As far as I know, if you add words to someone elses article is between you and the author, to arrange for you to receive some of the authors generation shares. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong!

Not with the upcoming release of new services this summer.
|
|
|
@jasinlee
We are not ready to release that publicly yet. We have a NDA in place with our main design partner and we are working on the details of an exclusive agreement for this product type. Once this is done we will share more information about them. We will tell you that they were recommended to us after we spoke with Altera directly. They are also members of the Altera Design Services network and the Xilinx Alliance Program. We researched some of the FPGA and ASIC products they have delivered to others in the past and they have good references.
Thank you, CoinHasher
Ok, just a curiosity anyway, if you end up needing one for Altera or Xilinx I can point you to a few companies we were in contact with over the past 6 months. A couple we vetted and they were legit and would be able to deliver a prototype in a reasonable time period as opposed to the usual 12-17 week window we found at most of them.
