So I have vapourminer pencilled in at 7am east coast time= EST sat morning 21st 2015
1)vapourminer 7am EST = 2am GMT
Next up is ?
Do we have to sign up in a time slot? I might get up at 10am, I might get up at 3pm, I don't have schedules on the weekend because, well, it's my weekend!

this is what I get: freq=260Mhs V= 0.75V
So I have 2 sticks running on a USB3.0 hub, no Y cables, at 250 freq, and they are faster than yours at 260: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi63.tinypic.com%2F29y17pw.jpg&t=663&c=NCVef1UPX_kDnQ) I have 1 stick running at 262.5 freq on a USB2.0 hub that supports 1A per port: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi68.tinypic.com%2F2cpxob6.jpg&t=663&c=uaFINYZ4tZpDyg) I don't think freq 260 is directly supported by the chip, you should try frequencies from the list that are directly supported.

as soon as you plug it in its setup to go online with bitmains id. so im pretty sure that number is pretty valid as the total..
Unless you buy the R1 from someone like CrazyGuy who has already modified the firmware for you. That's what I plan to do, my R1 will never be seen by Bitmain on their pool so it's possible there are many more out there than reported.

This is better than dice ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) But still is the 50/50 to find a block. I don't think it's 50/50 to solve a block, unless you mean it the way Grumio from Plebs does: "It's fifty-fifty, either I win or I don't." Tough to beat that logic. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

I'm beginning to think that LTC Core been coded properly and BTC Core has not..
If that were the case then there would be thousands of other people having problems, too, but there's not. The one thing missing from your list is port forwarding, which is what you have to do to get more than 8 connections as has been stated many times in this thread already. Did you forward the port on your router to the computer running core?

Hi All, I've been reading through this long thread and haven't been able to find a clear answer. I have a U3 working fine on cgminer using Windows 10. I would like to have it work with two U3's at once. Here is my current batch file, could someone please tell me what I need to modify to get it to work with two U3's? cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:0.57 -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1DqnYDCu24ot7JKZwNEvNDMLRH8CTeSHaC.0 -p 123,123 --bmsc-voltage 0830 --bmsc-freq 0982 Would really appreciate any help provide. Thanks! You should download the latest cgminer 4.9.2 instead of using bitmain's old fork with the bmsc junk. https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminerIt was updated to "work better" with the U3, it is much improved over bitmain's old copy. See the readme.asic for new u3 commands instead of the bmsc.

time to sleep when I awake there will be two more blocks
Did you wake up yet? Or did you happen to sleep for two days? Because you came pretty close to calling these last two blocks. Whatever you did, do it again please. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

I think we will do it on Sat the 21st.
anymore then the 7 guys below?
I will try my hand at the contest. Does it matter what time we start on Saturday? I sleep late on the weekends, so my 24h would be dependent on that. Is there a buy in or anything? 0.01 btc or something would be fun, split it between the two winners.

does someone have a more 'simplified' link then the pages of info a couple months ago ..that you all kindly posted on how to get these beasts up on a powered usb hub? It's pretty simple, if I understand your question. Find yourself a decent hub, one that you know how many amps each port provides. Get yourself a usb volt/amp meter and plug in a stick and plug it into the hub. Start ramping up frequencies in your batch file while watching HW errors in the miner window and the amp reading on the test meter. Turn up the voltage knob on the stick if you start seeing HW errors. Stop adjusting frequency up once your meter reads what the usb port on your hub is rated at. Once you get that down you can get a Y cable and bridge two usb ports on the hub and repeat the process but you now have double the amperage available.

So this is shaping up to be the monster diff adjustment period that we've been predicting for the last several jumps. I wonder if this is just a burn in test for a massive amount of hardware? In which case we'll see it spike, then drop back down a bit, then gradually increase as the machines make their ways to their new owners. Or are new facilities being brought online that no one is reporting?

Ouch that's scary. I've sold about 8 S3's and 3 S5's on ebay. Never had one returned so I've been lucky. In fact I plan on selling my last S3 and S5 on ebay once I get another S7 to replace them. Hope I never go through your experience. Their fees really are the rape, though.
I've sold 44 rigs on eBay. The last one was sold and shipped the first week in September. I sold 18 x S3's, 15 x SP20's, 5 x S4's and 6 x S5's. All but one S3 sold according to schedule. I had to re-list it because the buyer did not pay. It has been 45 days for most of them now. I purchased my S3+ on ebay and it has been a rock-solid machine for almost a year now. I run it slightly overclocked to get ~500GH/s and it performs like a champ (solo lottery machine).

+5.9 = Mikestang
We are seeing a lot of machines coming on line right now in a short time, maybe a big burn-in run. I am betting that diff will spike high this adjustment then drop back a little, similar to last period but I do not expect it to drop as far from its peak.

What mining software are you using to get six U3 units working? Command line? Thanks.
cgminer --au3-freq 250 --au3-volt 830 bfgminer -S all --set antminer:voltage=x830 --set antminer:clock=250 Thanks for replying. What version of BFGMiner are you using? I've never been able to get my U3's working with it. They are not even recognized by BFGminer, no matter what settings I use. Are you using the SiLabs drivers? If you used zadig to use the U3 with cgminer you will need to unzadig the device before bfg will see it. Just delete the usb device from device mananger, unplug it, and plug it back in. The default windows driver is "standard".

So either I use the standard version that support everything I need but not the compac Or I use the special build that supports the compac but not th antminer (which I need).
Or you can do like I have done and run 1 instance of the special build to run the compac stick, and another instance of the regular build for the rest of your miners. Run the special version first, it will start the compacs mining, then run the other version and it will see the compacs as busy and ignore them and only pick up the rest of your hardware.

when I ssh, do i use the same username as i did when i logged into the rig?
Yes, your login credentials for ssh are the same as the GUI web interface you use to access the miner. On some clients when you enter the password in ssh the cursor does not move and it does not appear you are typing anything; just type the password like normal and hit enter and you should be good to go.

Hi Eric,
Any chance that HaoBTC will reduce the minimum BTC for the fixed deposit . 10 BTC is a lot.
Keep in mind that you don't have to go with the COD. You can just do a normal deposit of less and you'll still earn interest. It's not that much interest, but the way I look at it is this: my coin is better served sitting in HaoBTC than in my wallet where it earns 0. Some day in the future if bitcoin is worth 10x what it is today these small earnings will have been well worth it.

You MUST
The thing with the U3 is, what works for you will almost certainly not work for everyone else. If you found something that works, that's great, and people should at least try others' suggestions, but no one "must" do anything you did because chances are it won't make a difference to them.

If i have 2 running for about a year and i consider electricity a write off and save all my bitcoins do you think ill have enough in about a year for a s7 or whatever the new model is? Right now on bitmaintech the s7 is listed as 4 btc.
If you saved the money in electricity you spent running two S3s for a year you would have more money than the bitcoin they are able to generate in pooled mining.

Does the unmodded mean stock 150MHz frequency or can that be whatever? Its the voltage you mean unmodded?
Well it wouldn't be much of an overclock contest if you couldn't overclock the stick, now would it? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
