1281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not so far from getting BTC globally accepted! Pornhub now accepts BTC & LTC. ;) on: September 06, 2020, 08:56:33 PM
Now that is when you know widespread acceptance is just around the corner. It would be good of Porn Hub to have 1 use addresses that cannot be traced to them. You don't want the wife tracking that transaction

I think they will add a provider which will allow address change each time a deposit is made to that address. I don't watch porn due to my age as I'm too old now, but I take this as a positive news and this is what we all had been expecting: global acceptance of Bitcoins and altcoins. This is happening now and it looks like Satoshi's work has succeeded.
1282  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic outlook and your life for 2021 poll on: September 06, 2020, 08:43:31 PM
I had been living a gambler's life before, but after losing everything in it, I lost my passion for life. But this pandemic taught me that life never stops at one point and so shouldn't we. Covid-19 made a gradual change in the world of economics, and I do not see anything getting back to normal so quick due to so much FUD in the minds of people. I still see it as an opportunity and thinking of opening a food truck, and I think this could help me get back the money to buy a new house before I die.

I barely got 2 points in the test. Not really an addicted gambler I guess Wink

Is this survey or questioner is an antithetic method to find out if anyone is addicted or not or the OP created this himself ?

Edit: I saw that it was taken from a third party site but i would like to know how effective is this survey in determining the addicted gamblers ?

You can check the rules in OP, if your score gets pulled above 8 points, it shows that you are an addicted gambler and need to improve to get this score under the level. Though, I don't think that any score can decide whether we need to change our habits or not because it is in our hands to understand that gambling can never be a source of income for anybody (a very few people who are lucky enough to beat the odds can live their life on their won money, but even they lose when their greed doesn't allow them to stop).
1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now the 6th largest world currency on: September 06, 2020, 08:03:52 PM
Gold was a currency back then, but now the most widely used is fiat currency, you can't exchange an oz of gold to get a louis vuitton bag unless the owner agrees to accept it. I guess the point of him is bitcoin in compare to gold in terms of storing a value where we can generally agree. Bitcoin is a currency for some, some uses bitcoin as a medium of exchange especially on the internet while gold just can't. 1 for 1?

1 for 1? No. 1 BTC = 1 BTC that is correct, but 1 for 1 is incorrect. 1 for $10256 (and currently changing while I'm writing this) is the truth because we have accepted Bitcoin as an asset and it is required for BTC to circulate among the whole world because if it has no high value and bigger market cap, it will be of no use to the whole world as the liquidity will not be enough to serve the world. Liquidity is what Gold (as an asset) and fiat currencies have which Bitcoin still lacks of, due to which we still see crashes and pump-ups happening in markets.

Do you bet more than you can afford to lose?

Score - 1.
I used to go out of the way to gamble something that's not meant to be gambled at all, and had once a loss which turned my whole life into a mess and changed me a lot. Now I don't do it like before.

Quote
Do you need to gamble with larger amounts of money to get the same feeling?

Score - 0.
Though, I need a clarification on this question as what kind of feeling is it asking about? Feeling of a rich person or feeling like I can win even with larger amounts in my bets?

Quote
Have you tried to win back money you have lost (chasing losses)?

Score - 1.
Who doesn't do that? It's human nature to try and recover anything that's lost.

Quote
Have you borrowed money or sold anything to get money to gamble?

Score - 1.
I sold my house to go all in on gambling and lost everything. That's an old story but it was worth my whole life's earnings, with money, I lost my dignity as well.

Quote
Have you wondered whether you have a problem with gambling?

Score - 0.
Never, because gambling was my love and it is still my love, the problem was with me as I couldn't control myself. I can't blame gambling to have taken anything from me as it was all due to my decisions.

Quote
Has your gambling caused you any health problems, including feelings of stress or anxiety?

Score - 1.
Yes, I am choosing sometimes here because I am a very cold-hearted person who doesn't care for anything, and you need to have that kind of heart to gamble your everything.

Quote
Have other people criticised your betting or told you that you had a gambling problem (regardless of whether or not you thought it was true)?

Score - 1.
They tried to make me understand that gambling can't be an earning source for me, but I kept doing it. I didn't stop.

Quote
Has your gambling caused any financial problems for you or your household?

Score - 1.
Yes it did, when you lose a house itself, you lose the trust of your family as they are all dependent on you. My son was educated enough at that time to buy a house on his own, and he gave me shelter for which I'll always be obliged to him.

Quote
Have you ever felt guilty about the way you gamble or what happens when you gamble?

Score - 3.
I won't lie here because I lost my house in gambling and it will always make me feel guilty for the same. I don't gamble the way I did before, just play with what I get through some pension schemes and that is also diversified into categories and timings.

9️⃣ 0️⃣ 0️⃣ X wins got us like Cool

Show some love for this 9ETH+ win and after the weekend's done, we'll choose a select few of you to receive some cool coupons!

I congratulate the winner who made it to a 900x on that small bet and won a huge amount, but let us not forget that it is all probability-based and that player could have lost more than the total win to reach this win as not every player has the chance to get that win in a few bets.
1287  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: September 05, 2020, 08:47:26 PM
Why would you want to know if someone is ignoring you in telegram?
It is not very smart and can only create more conflicts and stupid reputation topics in forum.
Telegram/forum ignore list should be private.

Read my comment carefully, I want forum ignore lists (names of those who started ignoring me) and what kind of conflicts will it make? Nobody asked when big names here sent 50 merits to each other as they were DT and when somebody who is not a DT and not even so much popular, got 30 merits for their post (when merit was new), everybody started whining about the same. What made you write this when I have already accepted the fact that it is not possible for us to know what I'm looking for?
1288  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Proud partner of Southampton FC 🚀 on: September 05, 2020, 08:40:11 PM
It's refreshing to know that Sportsbet got another partner in Southampton FC. Let's keep flash that BTCitcoin to the viewers of the most watched league in the world  Smiley

I am amazed myself watching some TV commercials and advertisements over web series about BTC and I am glad that Sportsbet is also helping to spread the word about crypto in a wide audience. We still need so many people for our goal of BTC going a million dollar as that's when I will withdraw my limited coins that I have kept at Sportsbet, or I may even lose them if I gamble too much. 1289  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Win any BlackJack Hand | Strategy Calculator on: September 05, 2020, 07:58:10 PM
The problem is that in the base form (without counting cards where you try to shift the odds into your favor) almost all strategies are losing in the long run. Sure you can be lucky a few hands, but if you play every day a lot of hands black jack the chances are pretty high you will go bust eventually. <<snip>>

That is the same thing I experienced. I played a few hands, I was in profit. But you can't bust dealer, not in every single game. To keep the odds in their favor, casinos offer us side bet which are worth nothing if you place bets on all and win nothing but if won, the winnings are multiplied by at least 1x and max I won was 50x on dealer's bust. But if you want to remain in profits, get out if you have already made enough for the day or you will regret later if you continue your play. Some dealers are very unlucky or maybe I shouldn't say it this way, but the cards get changed when some people go the split way or some go for hits, and we eventually lose when a dealer hits a 21 due to those hits (I calculated some bets' possible outcomes).
1290  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: September 05, 2020, 07:45:08 PM
A user's ignore list for my notification bot is public. I think you're looking for the forum's ignore list, but that list is private and can't be monitored by third parties.
Yes, that's not possible.

I thought you were talking about my in-bot ignore option (ignored users/topics).

No, I was exactly looking for what LoyceV said. I needed something like when a person ignores me here but is using your bot through telegram, is it possible for the bot to notify me about that? I guess it isn't.

Please take this mention/quote as an example only? Or you need a list here?

Or will this link work as an alternative? - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1458034.msg55090978#msg55090978
I know you are talking about mentions/quotes, but I didn't understand what exactly you want. You want something like a button/command that shows every time someone mentioned you?

E.g: You click "Mentions list" or /mentions and the bot sends all the posts you were quoted.

Yes exactly, I want a command that shows how many mentions I have got on a particular day and on what posts. I know this one could be a bit challenging as it will need to go throughout the whole database to scrape everything from the start every time a search is made (correct me if wrong).
1291  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Proud partner of Southampton FC 🚀 on: September 05, 2020, 07:05:22 PM
My email was compromised and since that email was used with accounts I use including bitcointalk all were affected. Lucky that much financial damage has not done. Whoever was those guy he just wanted to mess with me for no reason. I lost few weeks in the forum and some activities which I do in the forum and that's all.  F him!

The account recovery was not very easy. I had to be very patience because of the slow communication between me and the team but there were some very good steps which I had to pass to prove that I am the real BitcoinGirl.Club which was kind of impressive though.

Glad that the team helped you while also serving replies to many accusations that are being levied on them. I have a question that I'd like to discuss here taking your situation into account:

If my Sportsbet account gets compromised instead of my email and I don't have any funds in it, can I go for a new account instead of trying to recover that same account? Can I ask for such permission from Sportsbet and go for a new account? Will I be blocked from withdrawals some day later if they think to close my account for multi-accounting?
1292  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: September 05, 2020, 05:58:07 PM
Is it possible for us to get a notification when someone starts ignoring us if they are using your bot's V2 version?
It is possible, but I don't know what I think about this.

I hope you will implement this as this will make us know something which we probably can't get on any platforms yet (I think not even at loyce's site or bpip).

Alternatively, is it also possible for the bot to go through my and some other mentioned user's post history to find our mentions or quotes where we quoted each other and show links of those posts in the bot?
Can you create an example of that? You mean like a history of times someone quoted/mentioned you?

Please take this mention/quote as an example only? Or you need a list here?

1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling sites should be careful of bringing eSports in on: September 04, 2020, 08:59:13 PM
Nobody here allows kids to gamble. It's the kids' decision to do that and none can stop them taking into account their stubborn nature. Control is in the hands of parents and so, they can decide where to stop their kids from entering. If parents are caring and they do have a watch on their kids, it is not possible for such kids to give any time to gambling. Yes, eSports does have underaged kids playing games like CS:GO, DOTA2 and the craze that's immensely rising these days is for PUBG. Speaking very frankly, I never played PUBG and I think I'll not play that game till my last breath. It is better to stop kids from playing these games so to give their valuable time in nurturing themselves through education and learning.
1294  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Win any BlackJack Hand | Strategy Calculator on: September 04, 2020, 08:50:54 PM
If I'm not wrong, then you will need to have two different devices, one will contain that strategy calculator page open while the other device will be used to play Blackjack. Doesn't matter, I played a few hands and followed the calculator, won some, lost a few. The problem is, sometimes a set of cards is too good that even with a stand at 10 or 12, we win by getting the dealer busted and sometimes that card set turns things red by giving unbelievable 20s and 21s to the dealer with sometimes 2-3 times Blackjacks which will shock you. Your decision is the thing that mostly matters in this game and no strategy or calculator can help you win there. Sometimes, we don't go for a split or a hit but others do, due to which the card that's going to bust the dealer, goes into the hands of players and dealer gets small numbers making him/her win.

Hey, damn I didn't see your thread before.
I mean, I always heard that people make a lot of money through dropshipping but never took any interest in it as I thought that either it's fake or it is not my cup of tea. If you can allow me to join your team and let me learn (and earn) something through your methods and strategies, I would definitely join ya. I hope that me knowing nothing about this niche will not impact your decision and you will put me in your team. Smiley

A few questions I would like to add to your glossary would be:

Have you ever gambled on live casino games like Baccarrat or BlackJack? Do you know some tricks to reduce casino's odds in these games?

Have you ever made it to the slots? If yes, how was your experience with this type of gambling?
1298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Think about when you invest in hyip website on: August 30, 2020, 09:23:29 PM
Hyips are just a waste of time, its name itself feels like shit.
I was like, get in early and we can make good money because new websites pay to early members to create some reputation and buzz in the market about their services being legit. I have been seeing these hyips since 2004 and I can tell you that none of those websites are up and running right now.
1299  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic Coronvirus Impact On Global economy on: August 30, 2020, 09:11:39 PM
The biggest impact that shook the world is on the relations between China and all other countries (except few which are in China's favor). Global economy will take a big hit once things start to settle and it is because things will never be the same now, people will not get out of their homes too often so no old good days for businesses like petrol pumps, food restaurants, hotels, motels, casinos and anything outside. All of us are needed to have a mask compulsory on our face or we will be fined. Corona has changed the way we will be living our life now.

What's your favorite site by the way?
I cannot find these type of bets on my choice of sportsbetting websites and want your choice to create an account there and maybe bet on your tips. Not too familiar with cycling games but yeah, their dedication is priceless and their speed is unmatchable by people like us who have become lazy enough that we need a bike to go to a nearby shop and buy some stuff.
