1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mastercard to allow crypto payments in Web3 via USDC settlements on: February 23, 2023, 06:22:11 PM
I'm not sure if we can benefit from that. because no reference of any jurisdiction has been made. Web3 indicates that it can be used everywhere. Nonetheless, there would be certain legal restrictions on Mastercard. Yet, they both use USDC, a stable coin issued by a US company. The US appears to be quite adaptable for its own businesses. But, it's still a good indication for the cryptocurrency industry. I hope We can utilize our cryptocurrency through Mastercard some day.
1302  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anonymity vs. KYC: The Pros and Cons of Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: February 22, 2023, 06:58:26 PM
KYC is usually bad for cryptocurrency users. Yet things never turn out the way we want them to. The amount of regulation that centralized exchange must comply to is low. Users are forced to submit KYC because of exchange terms and conditions, although there are no benefits to doing so. A centralized exchange would request KYC whenever they felt like it. Don't feel completely comfortable since those don't currently require KYC.
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finantial tracking app asking for BTC address on: February 22, 2023, 06:39:27 PM
Other than privacy concerns, there are no drawbacks to entering your address there, but is it really necessary? With an explorer, you can bookmark your address and check it at any moment. Just wondering why using an app is required for tracking your assets. But, until you tainted your seed/private keys, this is not dangerous. Without private keys or a seed phrase, funds from your address cannot be tampered.
1304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security of Bitcoin Address on: February 22, 2023, 06:23:32 PM
I am wondering why are you concerned about that which is impossible. You should know how Bitcoin address works. The user's public key, which is a 256-bit string produced at random, is where bitcoin addresses are obtained from. So, there are 2^256 different combinations of public - key that are theoretically feasible, which is a very large number. The public key is used by Bitcoin to generate a unique address using a cryptographic hash algorithm (SHA-256). Since hash functions are anticipated to be one-way operations, it is essentially impossible to determine the decryption key again from Bitcoin address. Even I believe super computer system won't count it reverse. This adds an added level of security and ends up making it very impossible for anyone to unintentionally generate a Bitcoin address that already belongs to someone else. So don't be confused about Bitcoin address. If it weren't safe then we can't use it and won't become popular like this.
1305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 22, 2023, 06:09:14 PM
Accepting cryptocurrency depends on a number of factors. The key concern is with the laws in your country. depending on your business model then. You should recognize the price volatility of bitcoin if both are good. When you accept Bitcoin for your business, you must be aware of both the positive and negative aspects. If there are no limitations, you can implement by simply including a cryptocurrency payment gateway. Hence, if there are enough cryptocurrency users in the area where you run your business, you may start attracting customers that are well-versed in cryptocurrency.
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there age limits to Bitcoin investment? on: February 21, 2023, 10:07:30 PM
Decentralized world has no age restrictions, though. Therefore, we shouldn't push our children to become crypto enthusiasts. We can educate them gradually so they will be capable of becoming professionals once they are grown. These ought to be emphasized at first. In my opinion, you should start introducing Bitcoin to kids as a form of money at least when they begin to understand its value. Build their brain gradually, without exerting too much pressure. It wouldn't be good for them.
1307  Other / Archival / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: February 21, 2023, 10:00:33 PM
Before we discovered Bitcoin, weren't we just regular people? But, we have finally grasped what Bitcoin actually is. It's unlikely to happen if you try to explain Bitcoin in one day. It won't be simple to describe Bitcoin to beginners. You should start by explaining Bitcoin and outlining the benefits of using it as money. Afterwards, you'll need to discuss any potential gains or losses. Then, if he starts to show some interest, you can go on to explain the technical details.
1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If There Is A Ban on: February 21, 2023, 09:54:00 PM
Let me describe how things stand right now. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are prohibited in my jurisdiction. And if you were caught here, you would have to go to jail. But what is the consequence? Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are still used by me. I achieved to the status of Legendary within the community that has been compared to a crypto-academy. Due to Bitcoin's decentralized nature, the restriction cannot stop its use. So, I have no serious concerns about the ban. But yes, a widespread ban on cryptocurrencies would have an effect on their price.
1309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Books for trading, suggestions pls on: February 20, 2023, 06:59:15 PM
How do you think reading a trading book can help you advance even farther? It's not likely, in my opinion. You'll observe that applying knowledge from books to actual life is quite rare. You can learn from the text without a doubt, but implementation must occur in the actual. In order to improve the level, you must learn from you. How? Just put in more effort in real-time trading research. To understand the problem, trade more with a tiny quantity. Develop your patience by practicing it. So, you would benefit and gradually advance one level.
1310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bahrainian Hotel accepts bitcoin Payment on: February 20, 2023, 06:50:58 PM
I believe I once heard that several well-known resorts also accepted Bitcoin, but I'm not sure. Obviously, they also accept Bitcoin using Binance Pay. No matter which cryptocurrency payment they accept, the fact that they do so is remarkable. Someone interested in cryptocurrencies, in particular, would like using Bitcoin to pay at those resorts. I had been seeking for a way to pay using Bitcoin while on a tour. I would save a lot of money and have financial freedom as a result. If it becomes higher, the government might intervene with my credit card transaction.
1311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've invested around 450 dollars into bitcoin and I am 16 years old on: February 20, 2023, 06:43:02 PM
I'm trying to get my other account deleted. Sadly theymos has not been online since yesterday so I can't rip.
How would an account be deleted? No way. Are you certain of that? perhaps having your account locked. If the forum has banned your other account, proceed with caution. If so, you are no longer allowed to access this forum. Because admin banned you, not confined to your account. However, you should make a request for your account in the Meta section. Also, being 16 is not a reason to lock or ban your account.
1312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to surprise a friend on: February 20, 2023, 06:36:50 PM
Although giving money as a birthday gift isn't standard practice, if your friend loves Bitcoin, that would be the ideal option. I think giving your friend Bitcoin instead of something else will make him or her very delighted. Seeing his situation in view of your discussion. It still depends on how you want to surprise your friend, though. Yet if someone gave me Bitcoin when I was trying to win it, it would still be a wonderful surprise for me.
1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've invested around 450 dollars into bitcoin and I am 16 years old on: February 20, 2023, 06:28:35 PM
Why do you feel the need to prove that you are 16 years old? Is it really that significant whether you are using decentralized cryptocurrency and the forum at the same time? I don't care how old you are. The point is that you start using Bitcoin and recognize its value. You repeatedly mentioned in your thread how you must provide proof that you are 16 years old. I'll argue there's a secure way to demonstrate it. Just forget the fact that you are 16 years old and that you have nothing to prove. When you want to use something centralized and KYC is required, that would be a problem. Otherwise, nothing is wrong with you.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real-World Use Cases for Bitcoin in Agriculture? on: February 20, 2023, 06:21:31 PM
The usage of Bitcoin in the agricultural sector is currently too limited. The reason for this is because while farmers are still away, Bitcoin is technically ahead of them always. Most likely, a number of smaller farmers are familiar with Bitcoin. Nonetheless, there is still a chance that Bitcoin will be used in agriculture. Farmers and consumers can transact with Bitcoin by purchasing goods and necessities. All we need is a mentality change, and we also need opportunities. More people will be interested in your area if you utilize Bitcoin in the agriculture sector. So, the connection between agriculture and bitcoin is possible.
1315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some Common Mistakes Made by New Crypto Investors on: February 19, 2023, 10:22:09 PM
People's failure to educate themselves about crypto is their first and most significant mistake. Many initially believed that cryptocurrency was a relatively high way to gain money quickly. The truth is very different. Even novices lack the knowledge important to protect their assets. The main issue is that people get greedy and fall victim to various cryptocurrency scams. After losing money, they do study and learn. Hence, we ought to learn as much as we can. We will be safe once we have a comprehensive understanding of crypto.
1316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helped my neighbor to purchase some Bitcoins on: February 17, 2023, 08:15:04 PM
Thank you for trying to adapt Bitcoin. By helping your neighbour in purchasing Bitcoin, you performed a wonderful job. It's important that your neighbor comprehends the fundamentals of what Bitcoin is and how it functions. At the same time teach them related technical things of Bitcoin like secure the funds.
1317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin DCA - always same amount or do you change depending on price? on: February 17, 2023, 07:50:44 PM
Each investor should have their own strategy when buying bitcoin. As the price starts to rise, I won't even attempt to enter. So, I don't have to worry about average prices or investment amounts. I only buy what I can afford to hold into these longer in case of dump when I feel this is the right time to pull back to take entry. I improved my patience. Since Bitcoin is so volatile, we can't generate money from it otherwise.
1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best network to transfer USDT from Coinbase to Bitget on: February 17, 2023, 07:37:30 PM
On the other hand, if I click on send/receive it doesn't let me choose the network...it just gives me the option to copy the address and that's it....

Coinbase support ERC20 USDT, you can read here,

Quote
"Important note: at this time, Coinbase only supports USDT on the Ethereum blockchain (ERC-20). Do not send USDT on any other blockchain to Coinbase."

So you must need to use ERC20 Network
1319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: reasons why someone wants to pay in tether and not bitcoin? on: February 12, 2023, 07:43:03 PM
Those who want to stay away from volatility would prefer stable currency over bitcoin. However, they are unaware of the possible dangers of receiving stable money. In the same way, people who want to pay with tether are ignorant of the danger of frozen funds. We could simply research the Terra stable coin drama. how a lot of money was lost by people. We must learn lessons from the past mistakes.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency industry challenges and impact on Bitcoin? on: February 12, 2023, 07:27:48 PM
Biggest obstacle is regulation, which is impossible for  Bitcoin. Since it is a truly decentralized cryptocurrency, regulation is impossible. The government does not adopt Bitcoin because of this. The government won't accept a competitor that they can't control. Of course, there are many more factors that make bitcoin challenging like volatile. It has long detrimental effect on Bitcoin. But Bitcoin is still expanding as a result of the supportive community.
