Yeah, seems like they'd be better off if they upgraded...but I guess they're basking in their own relative uniqueness.

Captain ZIRP to the rescue! ...still not enough to bring the zombie economy back to life. Bring on the negative interest rates!

Damn you savers...damn you!

It would be much better to have base money, and only a minimum volume of debt.

It wouldn't be better for everyone. Returning to a debt free currency issued by the treasury(Lincoln greenbacks, Kennedy notes) would be bad for the fed, congress, & commercial banks for instance.
1324  Economy / Economics / Re: I just created 100 pennies.. and loaned them out, you owe me 101 pennies….. on: February 27, 2015, 06:01:04 PM
I have the above ^d00d ignored and have for a long time as I'm sure many do. He/she's posts are consistently of poor quality imo and usually address a poster rather than the actual topic at hand.

Actually the OP's question is about base money creation, it is a fundamental challenge that most of the professors in economy school have no idea about

I didn't necessarily take the OP's post to mean base "money". Given the references to pennies(physical currency issued by the US Treasury) I took the post to mean commercial bank "money" rather than vault cash or commercial bank reserve credits on deposit at the fed.

At any rate the OP asks an important question that makes clear the fundamental problem with debt based currency systems. There's not enough "money" in existence to extinguish all debt at any given time. The system relies on debt greater than previous debt to sustain itself in perpetuity which is an impossibility. The laws of big numbers ensures that eventually debt("money") will be extinguished either by repayment or default at a rate that will overtake credit("money") creation and a deflationary spiral will result. This is where the US and numerous other economies have been for some time with the federal reserve and government creating program after program designed to encourage credit creation. Moral hazards such as zirp, QEx, housing initiatives, cash for clunkers, student loan take overs, PPACA, etc are all designed to punish savers, reward borrowers, transfer wealth, and/or encourage further credit creation. Like all debt based fiat currencies throughout history the US "dollar" is overdue to fail...again. These programs are being used to sustain a collapsing economic system largely at the expense of savers and young Americans.

One of the greatest tools of mass debt enslavement is obfuscation/subterfuge. It can appear to be subtle, but over time the results can be enormous. At one time the word "money" meant gold, silver, & copper. These are finite resources with natural checks on the rate of inflation as it takes time & effort to extract them from the earth.

By linking gold & silver to certificates redeemable for gold and silver, authorities found a way to create more notes than the rate of extraction of natural resources from the earth would otherwise have allowed. IOW they counterfeited gold and silver, but one thing more that was accomplished was to set the groundwork for the masses to begin to see worthless cotton notes as synonymous with gold & silver. When the redeemability of these certificates is removed and the force of government is applied to ensure adoption of these worthless notes as an exchange medium for real goods and services, then the transformation of currency into "money" is complete. Money is a stable store of value over time. Currency =/= money.

The next step is to persuade the masses to accept credit as currency and to refer to that as "money". This is accomplished by allowing the convertibility of credit into currency. At this point the definition of the terms credit, currency, & money are almost completely eradicated. If you randomly ask someone how much "money" they have they'll likely recite their credit balance at a local legalized counterfeiting operation...otherwise known as a bank. There are only $1.34 trillion usd circulating globally. The rest of the "money" supply is credit masquerading as "money"(currency).

Due to the evolution of "money" it's now easier than at any other point in history to steal wealth through inflation. It's been a slow grinding process that has accomplished this mass enslavement.

Gold, Silver, Paper, Credit
Gold, Paper, Credit
Paper, Credit

By the way, i want to invite every possible Counsel Member to our War Room at forum.zeit-coin.net within the next two weeks.

For that i need your username in the official forum.

Is anybody in touch with solarion and qberty? If so, lemme know.

Many believe that the collapse of government fiat ponzi scams can be accelerated by off ledger (unbanked)savings. This can be non-fiat denominated assets or even physical currency notes. This is also what would be expected to sustain in an economic collapse.

I don't pretend to know what's going on in the mind of the average Japanese peasant, but they're a smart and proud people. I don't find the notion that they've lost faith in their currency and/or government to be all that far fetched. Perhaps like awake Americans they don't know exactly what to do to bring down the machinery of oppression and they're just compartmentalizing.
1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy shenanigans on: May 21, 2014, 03:06:11 PM
stop trading there like most people have Smiley
as soon as you need customer support, you'll hate yourself for choosing cryptsy..

Working on it, my traffic on cryptsy is a tiny fraction of what it was just a few months ago. Cryptsy is the only exchange for several coins and as I mentioned they've held some of my coins hostage for months. If I lose those coins it'd consider it a small price to pay for cryptsy to become a ghost town. We need these crap exchanges to die off to have a chance of getting well managed exchanges to replace them. Yes their customer support is somehow even worse than their techs. I have dozens of canned idiotic responses that provide zero information, then they close tickets without resolving anything.
1335  Other / Off-topic / Re: When will the USA go to WAR? on: May 21, 2014, 02:54:54 PM
Sure, the US has the best propaganda ministry hands down.

Thanks to the state run media and expertly managed .gov psyop program many sheeple in the US don't even know their goobermint is slaughtering people all over the globe in their name. If you tell them, they deny it. If you provide incontrovertible proof of US global terror operations they become defensive and disconnect. Soon dancing with the stars(or some other mindless crap) will chase those unpleasant thoughts away and they will get back to what's really important...stacking more inflationary cotton dollars.

Drones are worth their weight in gold because as long as there isn't a steady stream of caskets coming back with US flags draped over them there is no war. When the drones are used to kill Americans abroad it's because they were "bad guys". The foreign women, children, and men being slaughtered, the entire families being obliterated, the entire communities being destroyed by us terror strikes are "collateral damage" in the undeclared war on terror.

After all the US was allegedly attacked by some saudi nationals 13 years ago...obviously the slaughter in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, etc is necessary for the security of soccer moms in idaho.
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy shenanigans on: May 21, 2014, 02:29:08 PM
Cryptsy is staffed by incompetent idiots. They've been screwing over phs holders for months. Now they seem to have lost thousands of coins and their canned CS responses are worse than useless. Cryptos need real exchanges staffed by competent techs and transparent CS reps to move to the next stage. The goxs, cryptsys, coinexs, and cryptorushs won't cut it if cryptos are ever to be taken seriously.
1337  Other / Off-topic / Re: When will the USA go to WAR? on: May 20, 2014, 09:45:51 PM
Arent we still at war?

Of course, the empire of oppression must be protected.

Naturally this is only a list of the personnel that the US admits to deploying.

Cryptsy has again closed my support tickets related to missing PHS withdrawals, though I've still not received two withdrawals going back to May 2, and totaling 3266PHS. They seem to be real good at closing tickets and real bad at providing resolutions/explanations. In short, cryptsy is run by incompetent morons.

I've re-opened the same drama-coin tickets I've been recycling for two months now and will keep everyone apprised of cryptsy's newest dooshbag response when received.

...and this is why I had have you on ignore. You're in a discussion thread, but you don't wish to discuss.

I don't want to change you buddy, you're the perfect lambchop...just the way you are! The last thing I want is for you to have to focus on one topic for more than 5 seconds, when I know that deep down, you'd rather be out tracking down more senseless Internet memes.

"Complicated things are complicated" is no basis for a monetary system.

I release you from having to try to focus on complicated issues.

When you gave up your guns you gave up the constitution, it's dead.  Nothing can protect what ever the criminals in power feeling like doing... nothing but guns and people with guns behind you.  Nothing will change until we are so desperate we are ready to die for freedom from debt slavery.. any good slaver also knows this and will do everything in their power to ensure the middle class that allows all these horrors to go one continues to have the wealth they have.  For if they lose the middle class the game is up.

Crash a plane into a several buildings and have your population so scared of the wind they will do anything for "protection" it's quite easy to control the masses :S...

Never gave up my guns, nor do I ever intend to. We can all do our part to collapse this sham of a system, just withdraw from it economically. Stop using banks & stop using credit dollars. Store your wealth in non-dollar denominated assets and conduct your affairs in cryptos wherever possible and physical dollars where necessary. Credit is the achilles heel of this particular beast. Starve it and it will die.

If only everyone could do this.. *sigh* /sob

We don't need everyone to do it. We just need to reach critical mass.
