Guys, I just checked both bittrex and polo trade history. The bulk of this dump is small sales. When the price goes down, it is because joe schmoe sold off his half an XC, or ten XC. I'm checking MP next.

Our anno momentum was surely killed. Time to leave this niche behind (ofcourse finish and progress the tech.) and start planning other momentums. The point, I spectacularly failed to make was that the last line of support has been hit, and in fact has been broken. MAjor confidence test here for the medium term. No time to be a weak hand if you believe in the coin long term.

XC should have a slogan contest and then get an advert on coinmarketcap.com i think...
Advertising would be key. There are a bunch of crypto coin sites that are a bargain to advertise on. I think a heavy advertising campaign before we have a tested and working decentralized anon system would be a mistake. Decentralized anon is the core of XC and until that is working flawlessly, an advertising campaign would be a disaster. |

Thanks for updating the first page of this thread. It's much more helpful now. Also, I can't wait for the logo contest to be over so that we can get a more professional logo. Compared to the other coins the XC logo looks a little unprofessional on http://cryptocoinstats.com/and http://coinmarketcap.com/Speaking of the logo, I know that a vote has been planned, but I'm not convinced the designs submitted are quite where they need to be yet. The best of them are skeuomorphic and don't sufficiently distinguish themselves from the morass of altcoins out there. I know a top notch designer; we could get her (or anyone else) in. How about it? How about you show us some of her work? |

You seem like a smart man, so you would be wise to at least get an explanation directly from the XC developer. The XC developer's identity is publicly known, unlike 99% of the coins. AlexGR, although knowledgable, is a big Darkcoin holder and known to troll the XC thread constantly. the fact is that XC developer, Dan Metcalf, has made quicker progress than any other "anon" coin. Think again. 2. I'm not a big DRK holder. I do have some though  3. The concept of nodes and applications running on nodes is a vote of confidence to the DRK model. 4. Unlike you, I don't see conflict between anon coins. I own many of them because I believe in the anon market. More specifically I expect it to reach 10% of the transparent market. That means if the transparent market has a size of 10bn, the anon market will have a marketshare of 1bn. I am thus positioned in multiple anon coins to profit from this rise. My first milestone was 1% of the transparent market - and that's achieved with a combined marketcap of anoncoins being ~80mn right now, from something like 3 mn two months ago (2mn DRK / 1mn ANC). 5. I do see problem when a certain coin is more hype than actual stuff. XC's model is currently broken (trusted nodes = lost coins) and anonymity is not so anonymous (as chaeplin demonstrated by backtracing the transaction). So "quicker progress" is not what I'd call it. I'm not going to get into a conversation with you as I already mentioned you are much more knowledgeable than me. 1) You are a known troll and FUD spreader from the old thread and not many posts are being deleted from the new thread. As a technically challenged crypto holder, are you saying it is possible that coins can be stolen? Just like people, someone you trust today, may be untrustworthy tomorrow. Is it the same for Xnodes? As I could understand... there will be a system that detects malisious Xnodes and exclude them in the path... but it is not yet implemented in this Rev1, I tought it will be implemented in Rev2 How does the system know an Xnode is malicious beforehand? Is there a non-technical explanation of this somewhere? If not, there should be. Was wondering this myself. a mixer on its own can't steal coins, but with out the REV2 trust system and multi-path there is a potential risk of loosing coins through a bad node. I have setup "hardened" servers for testing, PM for details Is there a good explanation of the REV2 trust system and multi-path?
