1321  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 05, 2023, 01:18:54 AM
I was surprised that he placed a million dollar bet because he had predicted it with 95% certainty to win that bet but he lost because there is no guarantee to predict the sports bet.
It's a risky move. He bet millions to win a low amount thinking it's a sure win. But unfortunately his expectation didn't happened, I can't imagine how he feel after seeing the result. This is a lesson for the gamblers to not be too confident and don't risk a huge money if you can't afford to lose it.

Regardless how sure you are on the winning team because of the odds, still, it's not guaranteed.
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is ever the right time. on: February 03, 2023, 05:11:46 AM
great time of course when prices are low. if you plan to invest long term then bitcoin is the right choice. should I buy BTC/Altcoins now? well it depends on your speculation, if you think now is the right time then you can buy it. if you buy altcoins, make sure only with the top altcoins.
The low price is indeed a good timing to buy. However many investors don't see the good side of bear season because they prefer to see the price recovering first before trying to buy because they think it's much safer. But if your plan is to hold for long term then anytime is a good time to buy. It just depends on your strategy and target price to maximize your profit. So as long as the coins that you're going to buy are established coins (like Bitcoin), then you won't get worried that it might turn to shitcoin or be delisted in exchanges even you hold it for long period.
1323  Economy / Economics / Re: When your passive income equals or slightly above your salary, what would you do on: February 03, 2023, 01:16:54 AM

I have been in a job I detested and although I somehow managed to stay at it for up to 4 years, I didn't even for once let go of my passionate hobby and other passive streams of income I was interested in at the time.
Today, one of my passive interests pays more than my salary. My mind has been yearning for a resignation, but opinions of others and family bears the message of patience with the job I so much detest for reasons ranging from inflation to fear of the unknown.

If you were in my shoes, what would be the best advice you would give yourself and adhere to in this instance?

You know it is important that we love what we're doing hence we won't feel that we are working but we also enjoy the job since it's also our passion. That being said, if it's me, I will leave the job because it's hard to work if you don't like the job and you are only staying because it is necessary. So since your current interest is paying more than your main job, and if you're confident that you can sustain the needs of your family, I think it's time for you to quit and start a new journey.

Remember that if you follow your passion, you'll never get tired of doing it.
1324  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin balik 20k$ na ulet. Bear? on: February 03, 2023, 12:33:32 AM

1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: February 02, 2023, 07:50:53 AM
As a new trader I would like to know from our experts, the altcoins with good potentials in this 2023.
There are many coins sprouting nowadays but it's hard to find a hidden gem so you have to dig deeper. Ask yourself for how long you would like to hold altcoins because majority of them are only good to hold for short term profit. In my portfolio, I have ETH, BNB and IOST (Just DYOR about these coins if you like) because these coins are already established. I also allocated huge amount for Bitcoin as this is the primary coin that we should hold.
1326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your successes over the past 5 years on: February 02, 2023, 03:28:07 AM
Your successes over the past five years: How well have you managed to increase the balance on your account during this time? Or have you lost everything?
For the past years I can say I gained in my journey doing trades and investing in crypto. My portfolio doesn't increase like what others did because everytime there's a chance to profit I never hesitate to do it, and this strategy works for me as I gain than losing.

Before I became aware about crypto I lose a lot because of scammers, it's also my fault for being greedy. That's why my decision to engage myself in crypto has paid off because this is where I recover my losses. Currently I have Bitcoin and few alts in my portfolio, it's not much but good enough for the coming bullish season.
1327  Economy / Economics / Re: How to thrive with low income in a humble area on: February 02, 2023, 01:04:24 AM
One of the biggest difficults in life is to manage growing your patrimony and income, when earning minimum wage and living in poor areas where opportunities are scarce, as is the money circulating in the local economy.
That's true. I'm living in a third world country and life here is really difficult if you're not from a middle class or rich family. The minimum wage salary is not enough to sustain the needs of a family of 5 or more, it's already hard to budget due to the increase of almost everything unless other family members are also working.

So to survive, you really need to prioritize the needs before the wants. I think if you already experience hardship, you're already aware of what you should do that can make you become wiser when it comes to managing your money. In addition it is advisable to not rely on your main job because as we always said, having an extra income is much better because this can maximize your earnings. This way you can provide for what your family needs and can somehow save.
1328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 2023 on: February 01, 2023, 08:31:24 AM
If you have an investment in Bitcoin, you will avoid losing the entire amount.  If you invest in altcoin sections, there is a fear of losing the entire amount.  I have invested in bitcoins but I have not experienced a total loss.  But we have to invest during the down market and wait for the bull market.
It's less risky to invest in Bitcoin compared to altcoins because Bitcoin is already established and the king of all. Thus, if you invest during bear season or before the price consistently increase then you'll be a huge gainer. But that is, if you able to hold for long time and won't panic incase what you expected didn't happen for a certain period since Bitcoin is ideal for long term holding. Old investors are already aware how profitable investing in Bitcoin is hence if newbies still have doubt then they can track the past price history.

Anyway, I think this is a good year for Bitcoin since the next halving is just around the corner. Many investors are already accumulating and it might be one of the reason why the price climbed up to $23k. We know many things can still happen that can affect the price but hoping there's more good news than bad this year.
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: February 01, 2023, 04:40:22 AM
A learning in an expensive way. I never thought situation would go in this way. My fate I should've cashed it out earlier, but kept aside to enjoy the small increase in the holding if there is rise in the bitcoin price. I never intend to deposit and loss more, because the emotional outburst is the reason for the entire loss. If not I could've stopped in between. Next time feeling lonely need to move forward looking for other activities.
Atleast you learned so you can avoid having such mistake again in the future. That's why it is also important to gamble without something in mind that bothers you (like problem) because it can affect the way you gamble, just like what happened to you, being out of control to stop already. If you're not in condition then refrain yourself otherwise you'll regret it.

In my case I only gamble when i'm in the mood and usually it is already set right after my work, it's my leisure time. Moreover, I make sure that the money I use to gamble is not meant for important things because it's really a problem if ever.
1330  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - #1 VIP Crypto Casino on: February 01, 2023, 12:42:03 AM
yes that's what's happening right now everyone is coming to buy and making the price of bitcoin as well as other cryptos increase, next year is not a long time even we are now going into the second month, time is running fast so people don't want to miss the train, although there may still be a correction market but I believe they will take more
Knowing that the next halving is coming closer, certainly many of us are taking advantage the chance to accumulate Bitcoin and alts. I'm also doing my best to save while the prices are not so expensive. It's too early to say but I think we're not going back to $16k below price.

Contest winners have been announced so congratulations to the winners. Cool
Yes congrats to all the winners. As usual my prediction is far from reality. Grin
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: January 31, 2023, 10:49:51 AM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?
Nope.
The hype is done with NFT and it's better if you'll start to accumulate bitcoin. No regrets but surely you're doing the right choice by buying it.
So, start with buying bitcoin even if you've got a limited budget because that's always the best start to make.
I agree. The hype of NFT is already faded so it's late to join the ride and quite risky now if op decided to invest.

As a beginner in crypto you need to fill your mind with knowledge first in order to become aware of what projects are worth to invest in. Bitcoin and established alts are always a good option but you don't need to rely on what we're saying, dig deeper because that's how you can understand everything to make a right decision.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 31, 2023, 03:44:17 AM

if you can manage to just deposit, play then win and go out without turning back? meaning not trying to win again in the next days?
If a gambler win and let's say able to withdraw his money right after, the chances are he will return back because of the good experience he had in the particular casino. So the eagerness for him to maximize his profit is there (probably most of us already experience this kind of situation). Maybe there are gamblers who did quit but not for the reason they win huge for the first time but because of frequent losses and want to move on. Anyway, its a human nature to be greedy sometimes and it depends for each of us on how we handle it.
1333  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: January 31, 2023, 01:01:28 AM
I'm suggesting to have wagering requirement does not mean that I'm against free bonus that can be claimed by all users. Back to possibly abuse attempt for the bonus code, I'm sure duelbits is aware enough for this and I'm sure duelbits have their own way to prevent it. My main point is to suggest combination between 100% free bonus and bonus with wagering requirement because I think it will be more effective to attract new players as well as to make them play with what they get and hopefully these new players decide to deposit and become active players. Having free bonus code most of the time is good to attract new players to come but I doubt that those who come because of free $2 will be active players.
I would say that it would give people a reason to wager more, and that would be a good thing for duelbits, and it would also be the same amount totals, but for fewer people, or at least based on how much they have gambled and that means more money for some of the customers as well.

The only people who would be screwed by this idea is the people who do not wager much, just like me, I rarely wager over a dollar for any bet for example, but even I am fine with it. Why? Because I know that casinos are a business, and they need to realize that they have to make money from things and that is why it would be something quite good for them to get more people to wager.
That true, We should always remember that casinos are still a business that needs to make money. They are giving away bonuses for promotion in order for them to still make money. It will always depend on you on how you manage to take advantage in these bonuses. If you think that the requirement for such bonuses is too high, It means that those bonuses are not meant for low spenders and casino are targeting those high rollers that can easily achieve the bonus requirements. High rollers don't even complain how hard it is to achieve these bonuses because they can easily beat it and casinos are exactly aiming for them and as well somehow pursue  other gamblers to spend more to achieve it.
Well, yes it's not good to chase the wagering requirement just to become eligible if you know to yourself that you can't afford it or it is beyond your budget. Like their past daily gift box promotion wherein there's an everyday challenge, I only participate if the wagering requirement is not too high and I know that I can do it while not hurting myself financially. Because there are promotions that are suited for average gamblers while others are probably meant for whales.

Nevertheless these promotions (regardless of it has wagering requirement or not) are always an effective strategy of the casino to keep their gamblers playing with the possibility to get the free money from them.
1334  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 30, 2023, 08:01:09 AM
it is Mobile mostly , I am a mobile user since I mostly spend my day outside my comfort zone meaning not in my house( work related) so the chance of playing in my desktop happens very few than my Mobile.
but I am not installing any Gambling Apps instead i only play directly in internet.
Same here i'm often out because of work. So when I gamble, usually i'm using my phone. Moreover I also don't install the app of the casino (I tried it before but it makes my phone work slow), I prefer to use a browser as well. Sometimes it made my eyes hurts because of the small screen but it's tolerable and if it happened I immediately stop. For me this is one of the disadvantage of using a mobile phone. But despite that I still prefer to use it because I can easily carry and I can gamble anywhere.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cheat the Lottery Winner on: January 30, 2023, 05:23:14 AM
Being closed to each other is not an excuse to steal  money from your relatives or friends.  The victim askes the suspect because the victim trusted the suspect very much which in return the trust was paid by betrayal.  The suspect run away with the money so the suspect screw the trust of his relatives  and should be punished to teach the suspect that it is wrong to steal other people's money.
Money can change the human behavior when they're blinded and greedy.

So it's possible that even the person we trust can betray us because of money especially if this person is in need or desperate.

But this is not often the case, it just depends on each person on how they value the trust that given to them. But yes it's not an excuse for you to betray because if you have conscience you'll not do such thing for your own gains.
1336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Bitcoin Holdings for your child from infant. on: January 30, 2023, 04:13:08 AM
What is your opinion on my suggestion, is it a guarantee for the child's future and will  enable you to benefit from Bitcoin ?
For long term yes it's a good idea to invest in Bitcoin for our kids. Instead of saving in banks, investing in Bitcoin is much wiser because of the chances for the money to become huge, in time. Of course there's a risk since it is not guaranteed but if you believe in Bitcoin as an investor and aware of the technology then you'll not going to doubt what lies for the future of Bitcoin.

Anyway, though it seems good to invest as early as possible for the sake of our kids, we know not everyone are capable to invest due to hardship because of the current economy. Hence, this is only for people who are able to save for their kids and not struggling financially while doing so.
1337  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: January 30, 2023, 12:40:03 AM

1338  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 29, 2023, 09:46:58 AM
This amount of lose is huge and this will really affect the gambler mind unless he has hit a jack pot severely in the past and if that be so 1.4 million dollars lost bet may not mean much to the gambler is question.

But any way it is good we mentioend it here to teach us some lessons never to bet heavily because of odds, gambling is risky you can lose everything.
It will surely affect him, he knew he was putting his money into gamble and in gamble anything can happen, no matter how certain the outcome may look nothing is sure, so he has to deal with the loss , he needs a strong mentality now, because that strong mentality is put to rest in situations like this when you loose a bet with such huge amount of money.

Maybe he has enough money to make him forget about the 1.4million dolls but surely he will still feel it, he shouldn't give up on betting,
He bet a huge money thinking he will win because of the low odds but unfortunately unexpected thing happened. Indeed, in gambling you really can't be so certain on what's going to be the outcome, that's why this situation is a perfect example to only gamble what you can afford to lose. Don't be too confident to avoid experiencing the same fate just like this person who bet 1.4 million dollars just to win $11k, not worth it.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino games plebs like us must play on: January 29, 2023, 08:22:28 AM
the only Emotion we must bring in gambling is enjoyment and happiness and not that  greedy and self centered because that will surely bring us to losing  there are many people I knew that they keep chasing losses because they cannot take being loser and then what happened?
they continues to lose and even losing everything because of that emotions.
try figuring yourself first before entering casino.
The start of the problem is if you play with high expectation. Due to this you are probably not prepared for the worse case that can happen. Some gamblers are playing even it's not a spare money because they want to grow it instantly and not aware of the risk for doing so.

If you're a pleb, you can still gamble and enjoy the games that can entertain you but don't gamble with an expectation to win because, often, the result that we anticipate is far from what's bound to happen. So just have fun and control yourself to only play within your limits.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 29, 2023, 05:23:29 AM
There is this thing about shopping and airlines that when you check and forget, they send you bonus or discount for your possible shopping/trip. Same holds true for casinos, if you just register and leave they will send you some bonus to get you started playing.

Register then just leave? What's the point of registering?

Or maybe you think just by leaving the account after registering, there should be a bonus? Did I understand it right?

Multiple accounts registration is one method of abuse by gamblers especially if they know that a particular casino does pull up promos and bonuses  ones in a while for accounts that have been left dormant for a period of time. They only create these accounts put in some cash, make use of it and abandon it waiting for the very purpose as OP said.
But the other hand, this very technique by casinos is used to lure in customers that probably must have decided to jettison gambling for one reason or the other but hearing about the mouth watering bonus thrown out by the casino their interest is then caught and they're back with a hope of getting a win, only to just get tied down to more losses.
Having multiple accounts at the same casino is frowned upon and at most casinos this practice is prohibited, however having one account at several casinos is allowed as no casino can force you to keep gambling with them, in a way what libert19 is doing is no different than what we already do when we want to buy something, we compare prices and if at one of the stores we visit the product is being sold at a cheaper price then we buy the product there instead of doing it at the most expensive store.
I agree. But in casino, do you think it's beneficial for the operator to send you a bonus to try their casino if you just register and leave? I mean you didn't even place a wager and solely register because you're hoping they will send you some bonus to try their casino if you do nothing.

As a gambler, it's understandable that we want some free money (bonus, generous promotions) to start playing and it is really attractive. But it's not a pain if we register (on a casino that we'd like to gamble) then spend even a small amount to try their offered games. So it's also fair for us to assume that the casino might send us a bonus for not playing for a while because they missed our presence.
