421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 19, 2023, 02:34:55 AM
I promised in a post on this forum a few months ago. I had a plan to give half of my bitcoin investment to my wife after marriage. I got married a few days ago. First I gave my wife all the ideas about Bitcoin. I was surprised to hear my wife, as soon as I told my wife about Bitcoin, she said that she had heard the name of Bitcoin before. I thought it would be very difficult to convince girls. But my wife was able to understand about Bitcoin very easily. I gave him half of the investment as per my word. He is very happy to get Bitcoin. My wife plans to hold bitcoin for a long time. Now you can say it is better to give girls gold jewelery than bitcoins. I have given gold ornaments to my wife as per her wish. Have any of you managed to teach your wife Bitcoin? Have any of you gifted bitcoin to a wife like me?
Usually girls prefer to receive gold jewelries on their special day. But if she is interested and can easily understand Bitcoin (just like your wife) then that would be much better. Just like gold, Bitcoin is a good investment for long term. Therefore it's a wise idea to give your wife Bitcoin, unusual but worthy.

However, we know women have different interest. So before thinking of giving Bitcoin, might as well introduce Bitcoin first because that's how you'll know if she has interest or she prefer to receive girly things.

Anyway, congrats on your marriage.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: next bitcoin? on: October 19, 2023, 12:52:00 AM
Is there a coin that is similar to Bitcoin now? something that is perfectly decentralized.
No other alts are similar or can surpass Bitcoin so be careful on investing to any coins just because you're looking for similar to it. Anyway, why would you want a Bitcoin killer? You're not late if you still want to engage yourself. It's better to invest in less risky established coins, rather than a new coin, keep that in mind.

Thus, invest in Bitcoin or established alts (ETH or BNB) because it's not yet late. Moreover always DYOR to not lose your capital.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do your parents know about your gambling habit ? on: October 18, 2023, 11:10:21 AM
Most of the grown up people do not live with parents. At such, the parents are not aware about the interests and habits of individuals. Do you parents know that you gamble ? What was their first reaction towards your gambling habit ?
Yes. But they have nothing against it since i'm old enough to handle myself. Of course they're concern, often advice me and that's understandable. However, as a grown up individual they know that I am a responsible person because I also have a family of my own.

Well, if you're still depending on your parents, you should be open. Our parents knows what's best for their children, therefore if you're still living with them, follow their advice and don't keep your gambling habit a secret.

425  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: October 18, 2023, 05:05:46 AM

Gamblers must understand the risks so they don't expect the money to come back, losing at gambling is real, not just a figment of imagination and beginners need to understand that when money has been lost and run out while gambling, don't expect the money to come back again even though you keep trying to hope for a double win. .
If you are into gambling then you should understand the risks at first place only because if you are having too big hopes seeing someone else it might not help you because luck needs to favour you but you should be responsible on your part and accept the loss as well in good way.
Acceptance are crucial, gamblers must understand this. Once you gamble your money, that also means you're willing to lose it since that's likely to happen. As we know majority of gamblers are losing their money than gaining on their gambling activity. Therefore, if you know that you can't bear such situation and will regret playing, then don't gamble at all.

Gambling is entertaining, as well as addicting if a gambler has no self-control. So be responsible, if you lose accept it since no one coerce you to play, it's your own will.

Pati sa mobile version eh updated ang Electrum wallet:
Kaka update ko lang ng sakin ngayon salamat sa heads up. Mas maganda na yung updated ang gamit natin para mas safe, dahil nandyan palagi ang risk na hacking.

May post pala ako dito 4 years ago hehe. Nakakatuwa dahil ngayon marami ng nagbago. Still, importante parin na up to date ang ating app.
Hindi ko masyado nabubuksan yung sakin kasi wala laman electrum wallet ko.  Grin
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 17, 2023, 08:37:31 AM
This is the first time I am seeing a lady playing gamble in the public domain. Though I have been hearing but not seen. Well she should take heart, the matter how she cried the money will not come back again. What do you say about the Lady? Did she do well in the public? As I said, gambling is not your mate, take precautions.
This is how she deal with losses, and it's not a bad thing though since this also serve as an awareness for other gamblers on what can happen if you use your money in gambling. Her money won't come back even after crying but if this can somehow help her accept the reality then let her be.

Anyway, just a perfect example of don't use the money that you can't afford to lose and clearly this is the case for this woman. She made a mistake, but at least she learned a lesson that gambling is not for people who can't accept losses. If the result of her bet turned the other way, for sure she will continue what she used to.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: October 17, 2023, 05:39:40 AM
To stay safe when gambling is at our own discretion, if we gamble responsibly then we are going to see the very outcome of doing so, if we don't as well we are going to still get the outcome through the negative end, we should also gamble with all disciplinary caution in other for us not to get it done the wrong way, gambling should serve us nothing than fun and other advantages with benefits to us everytime.
Yes, that's why gambling must be responsible and wise because in order not to easily become addicted, everything must be controlled from the gambling budget or betting budget so that everything remains well controlled. If this is done with discipline it will certainly build a healthy mindset, gambling is for entertainment, not just for entertainment. money, let alone making gambling the main source of income.

This method is a safe way to keep gambling correctly so you don't lose a lot of money and get emotional easily, always make sure that you understand the risks because most gamblers when they feel like they are losing they don't want to accept the risk and the bitter reality of losing, it is important to educate yourself. yourself to gamble wisely and responsibly. why not
Right. It takes a wise and cautious gambler not to fall into gambling so badly. He should always know that gambling can never guarantee consistent profits, they can be winning and losing at some point, but if they are gambling in a wrong perspective, they will certainly keep losing the whole time. Set your own budget in betting, and never bet more than you can afford to lose. If you stick to that, you will never end up gambling so badly.
True, the profits are not guaranteed. But despite this many gamblers are taking the risk of spending their money in gambling, trying their luck to win huge. Well, it's not a bad idea to gamble. However it should be in moderation so that you're able to control yourself by limiting the money to use and knowing the right time to stop, that's very crucial.

A gambler who can't play in moderation is likely at risk of having a gambling problem due to the way he play. Hence, even many repetitive reminders have been said, it is still worth to read especially for the newbies. So prepared to win and lose in gambling and be matured enough to face the outcome.
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? Selling all or not on: October 17, 2023, 03:19:14 AM
Everyone is holdle bitcoin in the bear market and planning to sell in the bull market, now, when finally, the bull market  comes should I sell all my bitcoins and prepare to accumulate from afresh in the next bear market again? or should I keep some percentage to continue the accumulation?
Sell if you're already happy with the profit you made when the bull run comes and then just buy back. Bull market is not permanent, it is always followed by bearish season (although it's not certain for how long) therefore you still have a chance to accumulate again. But if you don't want to let go all your Bitcoin during bull run for wanting a much higher price, it's up to you. Therefore it depends on what you think is more beneficial.

Anyway, regardless of you sell all or hold some, as long as you made profit, that's a good decision since you gained from your Bitcoin holdings.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardwork pays not luck! on: October 17, 2023, 02:02:22 AM
Now I have realized that I must work hard and that too with dedication, then only I can have a good earning status. Just to iterate, working as a bounty hunter or trading in cryptocurrency was never my primary source. Still, I am working in a tech company and getting monthly salaries.
It's good that you have a main job. Hence even you lost some of what you gained before, still, you're able to overcome it since you still have other source to earn money. Anyway, regardless of what you do to earn in crypto, it's always better to use your knowledge and skills. Relying solely on luck can't bring any good fortune since you can't influence the result.

Therefore, do something to change it. If you have a goal that you want to achieve, then work on it. In addition, it's more satisfying to achieve something because of your hard work and not because you just waited for luck to hit you.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 16, 2023, 07:56:13 AM
Making gambling a full time job might be seen as risky but I still feel one can make gambling full time job and a career.

What do you all think?
If you're going to rely solely on profit in the games you're playing then I don't think it's possible. However, if you're a streamer, an affilliate or a casino owner, you can certainly earn through gambling (this is if your question is not limited to just a gambler itself).

Anyway, there may be few professional gamblers who are able to profit in their gambling activity. But I don't think someone can make money out of gambling consistently that he can treat it as his/her main source of income.
432  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Junket Operator on: October 16, 2023, 04:18:08 AM
I’m still confused what’s their main purpose but they are the one who partner with the casino to lure VIP players in the form luxurious offer such as accommodation and travel trips just to make them play in the casino. In return, they will get profit sharing on the total amount spend by their recruits. Casino junket counter part in online casino are those Gambling review sites and other that offers extra rewards such as free spin or other form of rewards which they are paying from their own pocket when player sign up using their referral link.

I become curious on this subject since there’s a big scam incident on my country that involves casino junket operation as business front in exchange for investment. They are offering 5% income per month to all investors which we all know that is already a ponzi.

https://entertainment.inquirer.net/522430/yexel-sebastian-asserts-casino-junket-is-legit-amid-investment-scam-accusations

I’m just thinking if there’s still some casino offers this type of luxurious reward to their players aside from rakebacks.

I think there's a legitimate running business model like this and casino use this just to make their VIP stays on their casino, they offer a lot of benefits and loan to make sure that those gamblers will be tied up on their casino. But what you show here is a pure ponzi schemes since and they just use the casino junket name as an excuse so that they have something like a escape route then tell that there's money is gone since they lose it for the said business. Investors now crying out loud for the money they lose from said program that's why its never good to invest any amount if we are not sure on what they are doing. Also ask for the right contract if they are really running a legitimate business so that we can avoid such the same unfortunate incidents. To many times this happen and we need to understand that casino exist in any forms and we should not invest on to good to be true offers presented to us.
This issue became popular when the investors asked for help on a popular radio program in PH. The contract they received for investing their money is loan contract which is questionable and as an investor, it's an indication that something is wrong. However they turned blind for the 5% promise interest monthly. Although it is too good to be true, some investors are still naive on this kind of scheme.

Casino junket might be legit and partnered with big casino. But don't risk your money just because you're promised of high return if you give a certain amount as an investment. Too bad the victims fall in this trap.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 16, 2023, 03:14:08 AM
After all I finished with my bet headed home and was asking myself what could the colleague act that way avoiding his close friends they all gambling together and just because luck shines on him first he decides to create a distance and class. I couldn't actually annex a good reason why anyone should do that.
There are few reasons that I can think of
1. He don't want to give away money to his friends.
2. He distance himself to refrain spending his won money to gambling again.
3. Or maybe he just want to leave everything behind to start a new beginning with different people particularly to upper class.

If this gambler is a true friend, somehow he will share or celebrate this special moment with his friends. Unfortunately, he just shows his true color for acting that way and it's because of money.

435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 15, 2023, 07:22:44 AM
Gambling is a place to spend money, although many gamblers consider casinos to be a place to earn money. But in reality, more gamblers lose their money at casinos or gambling sites. So I think all of us here probably have almost the same experience, namely losing a lot of money gambling

I also lost money because I lost on gambling, but maybe not that much. But I know there are people who spend a lot of money for gambling. In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?
The answer to this is pretty simple as most experience gamblers would agree that if one has experienced series of loses, its only best if he or she only stops this act and find of keeping your mind and thought in check because some gambler losses can make a man very confused and low thinking to the extent of proposing a big win ahead whereas all his gambling activity that day might just continue to lead to series of further losses.
If we lose, there are two things that often comes to a gambler's mind. One is recovering the losses and two is to stop already because it discourage him to continue due to worries that it might happen again. There are options that we can choose and the decision depends on what type of gambler you are.

But if you don't want to lose your money, just quit. Control yourself and have discipline because if you can do this then you don't have to deal with losses and disappointment. That's how gambling works, you'll lose if you're not lucky and win if you're one of the fortunate gambler.

436  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: October 15, 2023, 04:22:54 AM
That's just how people approach to it, and that has been annoying me ever since the first one started. There has been plenty of casinos in the crypto space so far and all of them had at least one person who did something wrong, it could be some technical issue, but I have seen as low as "I can't afford to lose this amount, please give it back" by someone who shouldn't have gambled, imagine the confidence to think that if you gamble and lose your money, the casino "may" give it back if you write to them enough.
Asking to give their money back for losing on the specific casino is a lame excuse. If a gambler use his money to play, expect the high chance of losing it (but of course there's still a possibility of gaining). The reason why we should only play with less expectation to win. So whatever the outcome is, we're prepared and can accept the result.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 15, 2023, 02:47:13 AM
This is what I’m trying to share here. If you really feel that your gambling doesn’t want to make you move forward by having decent profit and just giving you a hard time then don’t hesitate to quit!
It's crucial to know when to stop. Much better to do it before losing so much money in gambling. Don't get me wrong, it's fine to play especially if that can make you happy by having a satisfaction. However, you should know when to play or when to refrain yourself.

Have a break and just gamble newt week or month because a lucky game will make you win easily and not with a very hard to win winning condition.
Indeed. If you're lucky, even you just place a bet once or twice, you can win huge. It's not about how long you stay on the game (though we'll never know). But it's not wise if you only have limited bankroll. Therefore just use what you can only afford, and if you got busted early, just stop and come back if you already have a budget again meant for leisure.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 15, 2023, 01:23:35 AM
However, I am here to say these are the reasons why it is not always good to gamble in a betting agent's shop, because if the manager of the shop does not run with the money a gambler wins, then one of the workers in the betting shop might run away with the money someone wins, so I do conclude that an online gambling site with good reputation is the best for gambler, so what do you guys have to say about this?.
Well, it can also happen even in online casinos. They can hold your winnings, accuse a gambler of cheating or breaking a certain rules (even it's not the case). Therefore regardless where you gamble, the risk is always there.

BUT this can only happen if the casino or betting shop are shady or they're real scammers. People who run their business legitimately won't dare to ruin their names since it's not easy to build a good reputation. In agent's shop, if the workers run away with the money, the owner must pay it since it's his/her responsibility. Moreover it's partly his fault by hiring a dishonest workers.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: October 15, 2023, 12:26:55 AM
Coin flipping has so much to do with luck and with little or no skill at all whereas in day trading you can't just open a position to trade hinging on luck there must be an applied skills from a long time built technique.
I have learnt a number of lessons from my losses in gambling but I can't say I can depend and work with the experiences of those losses to make profit in subsequent bets but for trade the more experience and knowledge you possess the more chances you have of making profitable trades without having to be lucky at it.
Exactly, that's their difference. Experience in luck based games (or in coin flip specifically) doesn't increase your chances to profit the next time you gamble again. Because there's no skills that can help you to win, thus regardless of what you do the result will still depend on your luck.

While on trading, experience can help you to improve, this can increase the possibility to profit next time since you gained knowledge already from your past experiences. Although it is also risky just like gambling, but trading doesn't solely relying on luck. The more experience you have, means you already learned something, it could be another knowledge or strategy.
440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: October 13, 2023, 04:54:44 AM
Quote
One of
What's the point of HODLing bitcoins? Do you think that if we all hold, the value of the coin will go up? Why do you expect increased demand for Bitcoin in the case of Hodl when there are alternative cryptocurrencies? There is no point in holding money, money has to be in circulation for new products to be created and for services to be done. That's how this world works and functions.
One of the points why people are hodling Bitcoin is because Bitcoin is a solid asset and the price always recovers in value after a decrease. Wealth comes from waiting, people will not like to invest their money on shitcoins and lose their money in the course of waiting through a rug pull or the price of the shitcoin dropping by -90% and not recovering again. People choose to buy Bitcoin and hold it for years because they know that holding Bitcoin's safer than hodling a shitcoin
Apart from the price recovery the real reason why people trust Bitcoin is a project that is truly decentralized and completely under the control of its users so no one can able to control it or ban it like most shitcoins which keeps encouraging people to invest more and more once they start to reap the actual profits from bitcoin investment.

Currently, we are at $27K, a small discount price so whoever got the money doesn't miss the deal.
Indeed. It is an established coin and trusted by majority of investors who are not eager to profit in a short period, it takes time but we know it's worth it. On the other side, many investors are afraid to buy during dip because of further price decrease. We can't pin point the real bottom so the best deal here is, if you can afford the price (since it's way cheaper compared to ath), go and fill your bags. Anything can happen which means the price can rise unexpectedly.

Therefore if we don't want to miss the chance then think what you can do to take advantage the situation. Anyhow regardless of how you accumulate (DCA or buy the dip), what matter is you understand what you're doing and firm on your decision about Bitcoin.
