1341  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is it when the year will be over there are always talk about the price on: August 24, 2020, 06:35:35 PM
I would assume that by the time the price goes up in late stage at the end of the year most of the time because there are so many nations in the world that gets salary yearly so people do not invest that much early in the year since they don't know what is going to happen during the year (just look at this year) and that is why they spend or put it aside but not really invest with it, but by the time November or December comes they know how much they have and how much of it they could use for investment, which makes the numbers go up a lot more in the late stages of the year. That is just my thought, there are so many sports people, financial people, Americans and so forth that calculate their income yearly, whereas my nation does it monthly, so maybe those yearly ones are because of yearly income.
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in NEO now? on: August 24, 2020, 05:24:37 PM
I rather not invest into something when it is going high so much, just a month ago the price of neo was around 11.5 dollars, nowadays it is over 18 dollars, that is a huge increase, I rather not invest when it is at over 18 dollars, it would be smarter if you invested when it was under 12 dollars.

Now, I understand that many people could think that "how could we know when it was under 12 dollars it would have gone over 18 dollars" which is a solid question, however the answer is not "if you missed out under 12 dollars, invest over 18 dollars", that is not a solution neither. So, I would say the best case for you right now is to wait for it to drop in order to invest again. Now, you know what is low and what is high, if it goes down under 14 dollars again, you could check to see if you should get in.
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP got 30 new WHALES!!! on: August 24, 2020, 03:44:14 PM
I feel like there is a secret hidden hand that doesn't allow it to reach above 32 cents, whenever it reaches there it goes down under and doesn't make a big move towards even higher, it always goes down after reaching 32 cents and goes to like 23 cents or so.

People are all talking about how it was lower and reached over 30 cents and made such a huge profit, but in reality it is like 10-15% higher right now, look at bitcoin for the same time period even bitcoin moved from $9k to $12k so it is not really that shocking, almost all coins moved higher, why wouldn't XRP move as well when the whole damn market moves? But for some reason, the XRP cult works like a charm and talks about how "xrp moved up" and doesn't talk about the whole market moving up, making it look like XRP was the only thing that went high.
1344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What tools are not enough for you to interact with cryptocurrency? on: August 23, 2020, 07:37:08 PM
I feel like no tool is there to make you money, there is no way that just because you downloaded some tools you could be great at trading, or using any tools would mean profiting in trading. Obviously speaking they would "help" you, that way you wouldn't really be blind when trading and it matters but that is just one thing that could help you but when you get help from the tools it would make it easier.

So, when you are trading, you have to realize that you are either profiting thanks to your own knowledge, or you are losing money, the tools you are losing would mean absolutely zero when you are not a smart trader, it wouldn't really help you out the way you think it would help you out. So all in all I would say it is not as vital as people think it is.
1345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Testing crypto trading bots with real investments - check out the results on: August 23, 2020, 05:28:57 PM
--snip--
Well, I am not suppose to give you any money to actually do what you claim you want to do Cheesy. That is not how it should work. However if you test out crypto hopper right now when the market is good, and go out and test another bot when the market is bearish, that means one bot will look great while the other bot is looking bad, but in fact that is not the difference between the bots, it is the difference between the markets.

Hence, I believe if you want to do what you claim you want to do as in test different bots, that means you should do them all at the same time, if you however do it this way with each of them back to back, that means market will decide on the results and your results would be very screwed. This is why I said you should test them all at the same time and not differently, otherwise you will not get the right results between the bots.
1346  Economy / Economics / Re: Some are hungry, some are losing their homes - some are doubling their wealth on: August 23, 2020, 04:58:20 PM
Because the thing is, if you "donate" money to poor people you are just temporarily fixing a trouble that is really not fixing, you are just helping with the consequences of the problem itself whereas you should be fixing the trouble itself. Look at Bill Gates, he could have donated 30 billion dollars to Africa and the whole continent would be better for few years yet end up horrible eventually once again when the money dries up.

Instead of that what did he do? He simply CURED a disease there, which is 10x better than just donating money, tons of people are all alive thanks to him. That is what should be done, all those super rich wealthy people and families should not just donate 1% of their money and claim a high moral throne they do not deserve, they have to instead build an infrastructure to help the world to be a better place instead.
1347  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC Can show economy on: August 23, 2020, 07:26:50 AM
BTC Can truly show the economy
i think when btc is down we know economy is down when economy is up the btc is up.
oil and gold are the same if the gold is still high in this economic bad situation we can expecting gold to hit even higher
if the btc not going up anytime soon in few months we are in real trouble...then the whole economy will collapse.
so guys lets watch the btc price and we will know everything:)
sometimes the whales manipulating with quick pumps...but we can still the real price of btc
That depends on which economy you’re referring to are you referring to the whole world economy or a particular economy, because I think it depends more on the USD, and not really other currencies/economy. When the USD is affected, it’s kind of affected as well. And also any event that affect countries in the world as a whole will also affect Bitcoin.

We have seen that kind of thing happen with the pandemic, it affected almost the whole economy around the whole and the US economy and the stock market, and also affected the cryptocurrency market. But things are getting back up now, and if you check the USD it’s also going up.
I think even when whales do not do anything it still makes the market question what they are doing in case they do it. So, let's say right now there is no whales going on doing anything right? Let's say they are staying away, how could you tell a small time investors to not worry about it? They will not believe you and that is why I think small timers like me wouldn't act without considering whales and what they might do even when whales are not doing anything.

This is why I think whales are a crucial part of bitcoin or even crypto world in general. Hell, even me with just few thousand dollars have the power to manipulate some small coins, I have done it before, of course for profiting by going up, so others would earn too from what I did and didn't hurt anyone but I was capable of it, how would they know I would do it beforehand? Obviously that plays a role.
1348  Economy / Economics / Re: Lithuania President gifted crypto to Estonian President. on: August 23, 2020, 06:49:31 AM
When do we hear news of presidents gifting cryptocurrency to a fellow-president? I hope he installs any ledger wallets and becomes a fanatic! Cheesy IMO, making it easy for these businesses to use blockchain/crypto is key, some of these kiddos still have no idea about the technology too. I hope simple integrations as what NEM Symbol APIs have done with Lithuania's President can open more doors.
It is really good, and this move is going to make huge impact on how Bitcoin is being adopted in Lithuania.

As long as it’s something that has to do with the president who is the first citizen of the country, it’s going to go viral and a lot of people in those two countries, whether they know about cryptocurrency or not, are going to hear about it and start talking about it, the media is also going to be carrying the news and that’s a boost for cryptocurrency.

After that, investors in those countries are going to be interested in it. This is one of the best things I am seeing this month, and especially now it seems that the price of bitcoin is preparing for a run up.
1349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto cards on: August 22, 2020, 06:39:13 PM
I have not used any cryptocurrency debit cards before, I don’t think I’m really in need of any of them. Although the first time I came across the Wirex app on app store I was quite interested in making use of their application because of it has a nice interface, so I installed the application, but at the end I didn’t make use of it because the process that’s involved in it is a lot; you will have to verify your identity by making use of your national identity card, your phone number and other information, which I don’t want to give out to them, so I had uninstall the application at last. Then I also have the BitPay crypto wallet and I have been making use of it for long, but I’ve never been interested in requesting for a card.
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Novogratz and Dave Portnoy Say Buy Bitcoin and Not Gold on: August 22, 2020, 04:36:59 PM
Bitcoin and gold are good assets to invest in, I will choose bitcoin because that’s what I like, there are also people who will prefer gold, so it’s all about what works for you. Funny thing is that if you see people who are investing in gold they will also be bad mouthing Bitcoin and saying it’s not a good investment. It takes a high level of understanding for people to understand that both are good.

I am not the type of investor that just invest money in only asset. Before cryptocurrency I have been investing in stocks and mutual funds. When I came across cryptocurrency I first did my research to understand the asset and then I started investing in it. Every market is good, you just have to study and understand the market before you start buying it.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fueling to launch to the moon anytime soon. on: August 22, 2020, 03:11:24 PM
BTC I was reading some sentiments regarding BTC on twitter, some wanted to jump out of the ship, but I was think of BTC last ATH. Before it, price was below $11K...and now price was near similar to that...so all I've been thinking and doing is praying/chanting. "JUST KEEP MOVING...NO STOPPING". What you guys think?
That’s you all’s choice, if you decide to sell your coins it’s your choice.
Have you taken the time to look at he price movement this year? How the price has been moving from one level to another.

The price was at over $12,000 before the pandemic and after the pandemic it dropped and from that $4000 it moved to $7000 and struggled around that price, some people were also making this kind of statement that they are going to be selling their coins because they don’t think it will be going further, but it still moved to $9000 and same thing still repeated and it circulated around $7k, $8k and $9k before finally breaking that range and moving to $11,000.

Now, you all are starting to repeat the same comments. Why don’t you just sell your coin and take a break? I guess the answer you’re waiting for, so sell it.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be best a new altcoin pegged to fiat money or to precious metals? on: August 22, 2020, 02:32:27 PM
I plan to start a new altcoin to be tied to something that has a reasonably lasting value like precious metals or fiat money.

I would appreciate getting other people's opinion on what must be assumed to be the greatest interest and need. A means of payment pegged to fiat money or savings item pegged precious metals?
There is nothing new about what you have just said, there are already lots of altcoins that are pegged to real currencies and the ones that are pegged to precious metals, so many of them more than you can count.

Those that are pegged with real currencies are the stable coins like the USDT, PAX, DAI, TUSD, and so many of them that I can’t even count. Then as for precious metals, these are the ones I don’t really know much about it, some people have said that they are fake and not really pegged to any precious metals, but there are already so many of them in the market: there is PAX Gold, which I know for sure is not fake because it is approved by the NYDFS.

There are a lot of so called gold backed currency but the problem is almost all of them don't actually holds the required amount of gold for escrow.

Anything which are not falling into the category of "cryptographically signable and verifiable" for these kind of project's reserve will lead to scam its investors. This is the reason why I would rather believe the projects which are being minted out of thin air than projects with gold  reserve.
1353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you agree to insure your participation in the bounty company? on: August 22, 2020, 01:23:15 PM
Well, there are holes in the logic Cheesy.

If the bounty insurance is a thing, they could make any coin or token they want, they can promise a ton, they could pay up the insurance fee and as expected (because planned) they would say bounty failed and collect money from it.

Simply do this over and over again with enough people and you can dry the insurance company down to bare bones.

This means they would have to insure only certain bounties, they can't do it all the time to all the bounties. Which means they have to check what is the likeliness of a bounty to happen or not, which means knowing something they possibly can't know for sure, but just guess. It is an idea, but it is an idea with a lot of holes in it, if you fill those holes maybe it might work.
1354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Testing crypto trading bots with real investments - check out the results on: August 21, 2020, 04:20:03 PM
Will you be adding more and more bots? It looks like there is cryptohopper as the main leading one for you like some sort of affiliate, but I am not sure if you are trying to make money from it, after all you are not saying anything like "if you want to use crypto hopper too, just give me a pm, or give my name" or stuff like that, I would assume you would be an affiliate if that was the case, but now it doesn't look like that.

If you are really not affiliated with any of them, could you please maybe give a break to crypto hopper and try others? Or simply add others on top of the crypto hopper one? Because comparing them is a lot more important when they are together, it is getting definitely a bit not really that helpful this way, I am sure you mean well but it looks a bit biased this way.
1355  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic things that you need to know before starting in trading on: August 21, 2020, 04:59:19 AM
All good advice is always good, but talking is easy, action is the real blow of reality. (3)

For some it is easy to enter to trade, because they did something related to trade, or they just find it easy because they are talented.

Anyone enters cryptocurrency trading and it should be that way, as it is essential for everyone to be able to exchange their assets.

Hopefully and in the future trading is just an option, and we can directly spend bitcoin, if we want, but a large majority of us must go to the market at any time, sooner or later.
Not all advices are good because sometimes people could be giving bad advises disguised as good however that could be tried and you can see if it is actually doing that well or not and you can decide if the advice is bad or not, aside from that I don't know what is the other option of checking an advice, I mean you can't really decide if it is a good advice or not without really trying yourself.

In any case I would say that it would be a smart decision to study first, without any person, just go out and learn about the TA and indicators and so forth, that is what I think should be the important part of your learning, do not study from other people, study from books and read about them online and you will learn trading basics without hearing anyone's opinions or thoughts and you can make your own.
1356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Twitter on: August 20, 2020, 06:45:57 PM
I don’t even follow cryptocurrency on Twitter, because I know that people say a lot of sh*t on there, so I just come to this forum or just do my research online and that’s it, no need to stress. When the crypto market is on a uptrend they will start rejoicing and making dumb predictions and exaggerating by saying that it will reach up to $100,000 or even $500,000 and I laugh at those that say it’s going to reach $1 million Roll Eyes. But with just a slight decrease, they will all start saying how much they hate crypto and then you see some of them saying that they are going to quit and all that.
1357  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you trust a controlled ICO? XIAN COIN in particular... on: August 20, 2020, 05:02:42 PM
It really makes no sense that you would buy a specific coin that you could exchange for a fiat currency of limited numbers.

I mean if you have bitcoin be sure that you could exchange that to fiat anytime you want, any fiat at any country you want, bitcoin is a wanted thing in every nation and when you offer like 5% discount you can sell it all over the world without any trouble. Hell I went to vacation to a whole another country and I had no money left (well not the fiat of that nation, I still had money in my own nations fiat) so I sold some bitcoin there and got their own money, it was incredibly simple, they showed me a QR code and I showed my phone that and paid them and they gave me cash right there, I think they got it 3% cheaper so I was out only 3% which is a lot if you want to constantly do it but nothing in that scenario.
1358  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Warren Buffett will change his mind about bitcoin? on: August 20, 2020, 04:14:34 PM
Warren Buffet? Panic buy? Warren Buffet? Panic? Buy? I think there is two possibility either the owner of the article just lost his mind and now needs a straight jacket and locked up somewhere or he doesn't have any clue who Warren Buffet is.

I personally think that Warren bought gold because he knows he is quite old so he can't continue to trade constantly, so he just moved his assets to gold in order to not have to worry about making more profits with right investments, dude knows his time is coming so there is no way to make much more trades and investments for the short period and try to have 20% per year type of income, just have gold and not lose people's money and that should probably be enough until Warren dies himself.

Knowing all his children are already happy and not dealing with his business, dude is basically leaving company slowly.
1359  Economy / Speculation / Re: This time when the stock market crashes, Bitcoin will go to moon! on: August 20, 2020, 12:29:50 PM
You can't guarantee what the people with stocks might do, they may stay with stocks and buy even cheaper because lets face it if you trust your investment and the company you invested will get better and recover that means a fall is actually a great thing so that you could possibly buy stocks cheaper and let the company churn up profits after profits.

However if you think that crypto will go up during the next crash, that is also totally up to bitcoin people as well and nothing else. If people realize that they could just not sell for a while and when things recover we will go super high instead of just recover to what we were, that would mean everybody will profit a ton. However for some reason people do not think of it that way. So, let's see what will happen but I am not hopeful.
1360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict top and your selling plan during this market cycle. on: August 19, 2020, 07:44:19 PM
I am guessing that I shall get out very soon. The price hit beyond 12k and I have always said that I will sell above 12k but I do not put an order there because I want to see how higher it would get, my idea failed because I was asleep. My idea is that I will see it go above 12k, and after it is 12k I will put a stop loss and sell it at 12k if it ever goes back down, but if it doesn't I would just wait for it, if it goes beyond 13k I would put my stop there, if it goes beyond 14k I would do that, and continue like that until it finally falls.

With above basis I should have sold at 12k when it went down but I was asleep, next time it happens which I believe will be this week as well, I will be doing it (if I am awake) because I got in a lot earlier in aprilish time at 6.5k so it would be smart to get out over 12k as well.
