Though I'm surprised people even took the risk with this offer.
Even more when you're considering that this guy refused to prove that payments for winning bets were made He promised he would publish "soon" the history of bets and payments since the beginning, but never actually did it To hope for something out of nothing is the most popular form of hope. Though this guy may still end up paying the promised sums at least to some of his subscribers (we shouldn't completely rule out the possibility of this)... The most popular kind of hope is what serves the most popular kind of scam, unfortunately.

what has been the most common mistakes with people losing coins via paper wallets over the years?
i heard something along the lines of you can only fund the paper wallet once? or is it you can only redeem on a paper wallet once & any other coin not redeemed get lost forever?
you can only spend out of the paper wallet once. It depends on the client you use to withdraw the BTC with. I would try to avoid those clients that don't let you choose a change address.

If you didn't have to send a fee for transactions with passwords, where would the incentive for the miners go to keep mining blocks? In the future, most mining profits will come from transaction fees, not block rewards.
|
|
|
I am not concerned with confirmation times as it is, I am only concerned about the number of transactions that can be processed in a short amount of time. I have heard around that there is a hard limit, but I'm not sure of how much that is.

Isn't it easier to just whitelist popularly known image hosting sites such as imgur?

I can not disclose my YouTube account due to privacy concerns.
What are your privacy concerns about posting your youtube account? If it really is a popular account, your personal information that is on that account has already been seen by thousands of people. What kind of concerns are there to releasing privacy to a couple hundred people, when it has already been seen by a couple hundred thousand? To me "privacy concerns" is more of an excuse for "my youtube channel isn't actually that popular but I don't want you guys to know that." This. If you have a youtube channel, anyone can see it. Is it that you don't want it linked with your BTC "profile?"

I don't see how it would be a good idea if the secret changes. What would the purpose be?
It would hide the information whether someone has a fixed or dynamic IP. Also, if the secret were to be cracked, all IPs could be brute forced quickly. Also, how would there be false positives?
I mean people who simply share an IP, not by choice or not to shill. This measure is meant to identify sockpuppets but it can not reliably do so. Ah, I see what you mean. I will have to agree with you on that.

It is not a bad service. It really helps when starting a channel. I have also seen you, monbux, critizing quite a bit in these forums, but now I'm just gettig off-topic.

Could you please atleast send some btc to an escrow so that I might actually consider this?
I might consider joining after a month if you do actually pay out.
There is no way that he is going to pay that much. He refuses to use escrow and has incredibly high rates? It makes absolutely no sense. OP, prove me wrong. Ya. All he did was give a snapshot of coinbase. That doesnt really mean anything. Can't you just wait few days and ask people who subscribed before? Great deal, coming from a newbie who we have no idea is telling the truth or not!
Here is what we'll do:
1. I give you a newly made account 2. You generate me a video a week, totalling up to 50 videos (you can take 2 weeks off) 3. I need a profit of at least $10,000 USD into my bank account, because you are super professional 4. You get 1.5 BTC payment, as long as it's not over $9500 USD by the time I get the 10k.
Done!
That's not how it works. He is only providing the management of the account.

I propose showing a hash of users' IP addresses with each post to publicly identify sockpuppets. In particular hmac with a server kept secret so that the hashes themselves have no direct unintended value except for comparison. Perhaps with an option in the settings to view them or not.
If the secret is changed about every n days, it sounds like an okay idea. Though I think this would have more false positives than actual ones. I don't see how it would be a good idea if the secret changes. What would the purpose be? Also, how would there be false positives?

People need to stop posting these threads without reading others first. I am concerned as well, as I look like a total newbie with my avatar, but reading is really not that hard.

Yeah, I totally support this. Of course, it shouldn't be required, but it could really help us feel safer when attacks such as the last few happen. Not so much for the password, but for the account.

What network do you use for the ads, if any? Also, this looks kind of suspicious with you having just joined. Would you be willing to escrow if somebody asked?

Login to Coinbase, go to history and check if it says you actually bought coins with them. Something similar happened to me. In te transaction history it said I "sent" Coinbase BTC to exchange for USD, but it does not appear in history. I also have not received any money from Coinbase and never wanted to sell my BTC. Luckily for me, I only lost around $1.50 worth of BTC because I only use web wallets for convenience and I usually put all I have in my local wallet/cold storage.

Also about this. There is another sig campaign that is paying more than this, but Stunna wants to wait for a month to see if the person actually pays out.
I guess a little competition would be good, although from what I read in this thread, he already has a negative trust score, unfortunately. Did someone jump the gun and assume it was too good to be true? By the way, do you have a link to the other campaign? I tried doing a quick search, but was unable to find it. It is the one with a title saying that it pays up to 0.6 BTC. It is most likely a scam, since it counts all posts, not just the ones you made in the last month. Anyway, we'll find out for sure around Christmas.

I think it may go down a bit for now, but it will eventually start going back up. If I had to guess, it will be over $1,000 by the end of the year.
