521  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Overwatch.org - domain name for sale! on: August 28, 2017, 10:20:41 PM
OP PMd me about his concerns regarding my comment, so I wish to clarify what I said quoted below.

Is there any proof of you actually owning this domain? I believe it is fair to ask since Overwatch (the game) has become so popular and the chances of a random bitcoiner squatting the domain are really low. In fact, I would not be surprised if you are trying to make a quick buck. Are you the individual reachable at zurcnet@gmail.com, as stated in the website to which overwatch.org leads? If so, is your price actually $10K? There is always a chance that a big player such as Blizzard attempts to legally subdue the domain name for using their trademark, but I don't claim to be a lawyer so I do not know the specifics. Having Overwatch in the domain could mean a legal liability, however.

All I am trying to say here is that there is no way to know for sure that OP here is the same person reachable at the email specified on the landing page of the domain being sold. He claims that he is, which is believable, but in any case it should still be better to contact directly to his email just in the off chance that he is not. About my legal allegations, which the OP also expressed concern at in the PM, I never claimed to be a lawyer. I have simply seen similar cases where domain names get disputed end up going in the favor of the corporation owning the trademark. I do not know any specifics and I am not interested in buying this domain whatsoever (at least at this price). The information I provided was solely as a word of caution for any potential buyer of the domain. I do not have any evidence pointing to this being either legit or a scam, and have no more information regarding the domain or OP than the average reader. I am simply bringing up possible concerns buyers may have.

For the plans that you show above for the cPanel web hosting, is the SSD space shared between the email accounts and the databases? I ask because I have seen other web hosting providers offer their SSD space only for upload of website data such as web pages and scripts and then have databases and email on separate storage which may not be necessarily SSD and can therefore be much slower. Also, what technologies and server side languages do you allow? Is PHP5/7 enabled and is there a limit on cron jobs, etc. that could come up at some point during service? Thanks.

I would say I am a fairly trusted member so far. If you would like me to vouch for any of your accounts, let me know. Of those, I have vouched HBO and Lynda accounts before, so either one of those would be fairly straightforward, but that doesn't stop me from vouching for your other accounts as well. I am somewhat familiar with most of these services and vouching for any should not take long. I can also provide follow-up with a longetivity update after having had the account for reasonable enough period of time as well. If you accept, please reply here or PM me with the details.

525  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [SELL] Google Drive Unlimited Storage on: August 26, 2017, 06:34:39 PM
People sell it for $300

Huh? What are you talking about? Products like these are sold for around $5 in these forums. Even OP's price here I would certainly call expensive. One of the newest threads right now sells an .edu account with many perks, Unlimited Google Drive included, for $3. While I cannot vouch for him, I have bought others before for $5 and they have been working for almost a year so far. I am not going to post any links to these threads to avoid hijacking this thread, but you are out of your mind.
526  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: 💳 Unlimited Private VCC 💳 + SMS Phone Numbers | ✔️ VOUCHED ✔️ on: August 26, 2017, 06:28:52 PM
Bought this guide today.

Paypal verification fails:

"This card is not accepted. Please use a different card."

SMS confirmation never shows up using suggested methods.

I'm pretty sure that PayPal verification methods vary depending on what country you are from. I know countries like the U.S. have somewhat high requirements to get their PayPal verified. Countries in the European Union also have somewhat high requirements albeit some not as high as the United States. If you live most anywhere else in the world, you should not be obligated to provide much else than a card or a phone number verification in order to get your account verified with them.
527  Economy / Services / Re: [New]Fast And Free Transaction Accelerator on: August 26, 2017, 07:00:38 AM
Can't help but be a bit of a skeptic here. This is just probably me being overly cautious and paranoid in these forums, but how, roughly, are you accelerating these transactions? Are you using external services such as the ViaBTC transaction accelerator or do you have your own methods of accelerating it with direct access to a mining pool, etc.? It just occurred to me that there could be a possibility that you aren't actually doing anything and are just kind of hoping for tips, but given how many here have proven this thinking wrong, I am genuinely curious as to how you are doing it. Thought you might want to share since you don't seem to be trying to make a profit out of it, albeit it honestly doesn't sound like much of a bad idea.

Terms of Services: Click Here

This link on your post to the terms of service is broken and leads to a 404. I also tried to find a link to your terms of service on your website but could not find any. Furthermore, the "About" page link on your website at the bottom of the page in the footer also seems to be broken. While it may not seem like that big of a deal, I cannot really order hosting of any kind without knowing first what the terms of service is. I also so no mention of your privacy policy, if you have one. Let me know if you fix these issues so I can compare services properly.

I apologize. If you take a look at our footer, you'll see our ToS + AUP.

TOS: https://www.rocketbyte.net/terms.html
AUP: https://www.rocketbyte.net/aup.html

Sweet, thanks for the links. Lastly I seem to see no privacy policy. This does not really matter much to me as long as I can have some kind of assurance that my data and personal information will not be shared to or sold to any sort of third parties or any ad tracking or ad campaign services that may be related (or not) to you in some way. I would also like to know what happens to my data if I decide to stop using the account or preferably delete it when I am done using it. Spam is of course the last thing anyone needs. Thanks for the quick reply! I expect to be ordering relatively soon for one of my clients.
529  Other / Archival / Re: [VOUCHED] LIFETIME ADOBE CC 2017 CHEAPEST!!! PayPal/BTC/ETH/LTC/DASH on: August 26, 2017, 03:48:21 AM
I have just bought this method, and to be real its not really a method, you get kinda universal license key.

That's exactly the problem. Most, if not all, of the sellers of this Adobe CC "method" are actually all doing this but change the actual installation instructions around a bit. As a matter of fact, they all seem to be using the same exact serial number. Once Adobe figures out that this serial number is being abused, they can suspend the serial key and everybody who has ever bought this method, no matter from which seller, is going to get their license revoked. It is an enterprise key, so that is why you are not seeing your product activated with the website: It is not a personal key, so it is in no way linked to your account. It is only linked to the installation in your computer at the time and if you wanted to install it somewhere else, just using the same account would not work. You would have to go through the entire process again on a separate computer, and that is all assuming that the method still works at the time. I recommend caution when dealing with these.

I'm the one who vouch this product...and I can say its 2015 and once you use adobe CC account you can upgrade it on latest version like 2017,all products...and its still working on my machine since the day i installed it and OP said he already sold 9 copies and only one comeback with failed installation....btcton may also correct selling 1 key may trigger adobe but I dont know as prepetual license you can use in multiple machine so i think no issue. For ZZetex better ask for OP help first maybe you miss something from intructions and if really not working maybe ask for refund...

Of course it's still going to work, it's still not being massively sold yet. The reason why so many people have used the key without it failing an installation ever is simply because the key is for volume licensing. This means that it is used for big business and corporations who use Adobe products to be able to install these products on multiple computers without needing an individual serial key for each one. That doesn't mean that they can't get revoked. All that is needed is for Adobe to figure out that this key is being abused (this key is definitely not obtained by legitimate means for "reselling") they will be suspending the license and by that time the license will not work and any further installations will fail.

I see that the only payment method that you are offering for these .edu emails is PayPal. Do you not accept Bitcoin? If you are not willing to accept Bitcoin as payment then you have probably come to the wrong forums to sell this method. Additionally, if you need someone to vouch for the validity of your emails, I can help you out. If you wish to do so, just PM me the information and I will check everything out and post back here promptly as I have done many times before with many similar services. PMing me would be faster than replying to this post here. Please let me know.
533  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Rocketr: Sell your digital goods for Bitcoin, Ether, and more with auto-delivery on: August 23, 2017, 08:15:13 PM
Hey, I am a buyer for a product being sold on Rocketr. I did not know there was a thread here to ask. I was wondering what exchange rate you have been using for selling products priced in USD but sold in Bitcoin. I had been trying to buy a product costing $4, but at current bitcoin exchange prices the amount of bitcoin that Rocketr was requesting from me was worth about a dollar and a half more than the price of the product itself. Is the exchange rate outdated or are there fees that we are not able to see as buyers? During checkout, there is never any mention of any fees, which is why I ask about this.

We currently use blockchain.info's API for fiat -> BTC price conversion

I see that, but my question remains unanswered. As I keep trying to buy a product which I ended up having to buy directly from a seller in the end, I kept getting charged much more than the bitcoin equivalent of the dollar value shown on the website. A $5 item was going to cost me around $7 in bitcoin at blockchain.info's exchange rate. There was also no mention of any fees at the time of checkout. I can PM you with the complete details if you would like to check it out and see what's happening.

Yes, please PM me the order details including the order number.

Some time between when I originally posted that and now the problem got fixed. For the record, the product which I attempted to buy was https://rocketr.net/buy/0ef2a453ae12. I ended up buying it by dealing directly with the owner of the listing because of that bug, but it seems to be fine now, amounting to around $5.15 in Bitcoin which in my opinion is within margin of error. It might have been caused by the fluctuating value of bitcoin, but even so I tried multiple times and the price kept being equivalent to between $6-$7 every time I tried. If it happens again, I will let you know.
534  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 🔑[ONLY $2.75]🔑[AUTOBUY] Adobe CC 2017🔑 All Software🔑 on: August 23, 2017, 06:14:07 AM
Hi, I purchased Adobe CC 2017 from you this morning and I did not receive anything. Is this another scam?

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, the OP here is most likely reselling a method that he had previously received from another seller of the same product in these forums. Since he is not the original seller it is quite likely he just created a new account so that the reputation on his original account did not get affected by this fact. It is likely that he has since abandoned this account and will not respond to any support requests since he has no real motivation anymore to keep the account going since this seems to be dead now. So yeah, kind of a scam.

Edit: Yeah, last time he was active was exactly when he posted his last post on this thread. 100% a throwaway account of somebody else on here.
535  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: August 23, 2017, 06:05:10 AM
Hey, I was reading through your FAQs and I found the following excerpt:

"Our goal is to make Bitcoin value independent of its blockchain history. Some governments and corporations wants to invalidate its value by claiming they are connected to something immoral like gambling. Every time you withdraw from ChipMixer, we give you cryptographically signed receipt that proves you have received those funds from us. Since the disconnection of history is proven, there can be no loss of value."

I understand how ending up with bitcoin from an address related to a an address linked back to illegal or immoral activity could make you seem suspicious of something and how the receipt can claim the money is sourced from a mixer. However, couldn't this also be used the other way around to say that the money was gotten from a mixer and therefore it was originally from an illegal activity/money laundering. Of course, this is a backwards way of thinking and completely wrong, but just an example of times in which forces such as the government are looking for reasons to steal the money and this might not fully help. It is always good to have the option, however.
536  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SporeStack: Launch VPS servers with Bitcoin. Anonymous, API driven on: August 23, 2017, 01:49:44 AM
I really like the concept of a fully API/CLI-driven IaaS platform. This looks to function similar to platforms such as Heroku which allow you to build applications through the command line. My only concern with the way you have built it is the 28-day limit which others have asked about but I still don't understand why it is there as well as the prices for the VPS servers not being visible, or at the very least I could not find them. If I may ask, are these servers built on top of another platform, and if so which? There seem to be quite many different locations that I don't think you would have set up yourself to host the servers on which these VPSs are run. I would like to know about the reliability and uptime of these servers.

Thank you for your reply.

I guess in that way it is like Heroku but this is a couple layers lower, providing just the infrastructure and nothing like a Python app abstraction layer. Of course you could build that on top of SporeStack. I wanted to start with servers as the base layer and build from there.

The 28 day limit is intentional. I've designed it to be ephemeral by default, which is more of a modern practice and takes some getting used to. For the most part rather than upgrading the same server over and over, you'd just replace it with another. This has some advantages on my end as well.

The easiest way to see the price is to just try and spawn a server and see how many Bitcoins it requests. https://launch.sporestack.com/ shows it a bit better, but masks the flavors from you. You can guess the cost by looking here: https://sporestack.com/node/options

There's a base_satoshis_per_day. There's a random amount added onto that of 1-10,000 Satoshis that's used for identifying your payment. It's a very unusual system but you can see how it works here: https://github.com/teran-mckinney/bitcoinacceptor-python

Yes, currently all of the servers are created on Vultr. They accept Bitcoin as well, although I think you have to provide a credit card. They are great to work with. SporeStack adds an anonymous layer and I tend to prefer my API/tooling on top of it. Using Vultr directly is cheaper.

If you want a very traditional VPS and don't mind Vultr knowing who you are, they are a pretty good bet.

That said, you can "topup" your servers with SporeStack. There's a topup command so you can topup past the 28 day mark. Now down the road that may fail for some reasons. Say I start hosting these myself and there's a critical patch I need to apply to the host, say some security vulnerability. As a host you have two options: Take everyone down unexpectedly, live migrate to another host (more on that later), or let all VMs expire from the machine. So in that case I would mark the host to not have new servers built there and to not allow renewals. Once the servers expire (at very worst, 28 days from then), then I can patch it and restart it. Or say the server has to be moved from one datacenter or another, the same applies. You are going to have some unexpected downtime with public clouds unless they employ a lot of behind the scenes live migration. Which is doable but tricky to pull off, especially without any incidents at all. Some people do manage it well and I've never been a fan of it. In my mind, too many moving parts and there are cases where it doesn't work at all, if the host is degraded enough.

I would say the reliability of Vultr is about what I expect normally. Maybe a restart of a VM due to some host issue, once per 12 VM months? Maybe a bit more than that, just kind of a number I threw together. Occasionally there are boostrap issues where a VM does not boot at all the first time, maybe 1 in 80 or so, I'm not sure.

In general, servers will always fail so it's best to make a completely redundant architecture. Say you get to 99.99% reliability per server, adding another makes it almost improbable that you'll be totally down. Whereas adding more nines gets to be quite expensive.

In the future I may add more providers or try to host these myself. But in those cases the servers will only come up with iPXE -- different providers with stock images will just vary much too much and iPXE is probably the best way to make it more of a uniform platform.

Here's an example using self-renewing: https://github.com/sporestack/launch.sporestack.com

And my blog replaces itself every week: https://github.com/teran-mckinney/staticator/

I also have an example doing self-renewing and self-propagating: http://go-beyond.org/post/autonomous-crowd-funded-tor-relays/

Those examples are automated and work by sending Bitcoin to a new wallet that the servers use themselves. You an also watch for when the server is about to explore locally and run sporestack topup.

I hope this answers your questions. Let me know if you are curious about anything else.

Ah, I see. So it is more for the redundancy that the 28 days limit is implemented? Does that mean that topping up can be done *up to* the 28 days since the original creation date or the time is reset so that the VPS stops 28 days after the top-up date?

Furthermore, I see you manually update bitcoin prices to follow their price in relation with fiat. What fixed USD prices are you trying to follow, to compare with Vultr's stock prices? I do have  a Vultr account but I do want to try out SporeStack because of how much simpler the command line looks to scale and automate my server applications. Looking forward to trying this out.
537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Feeling regret after (Not trading, not gambling, etc...) on: August 22, 2017, 06:01:30 AM
I don't know why people here are advising you to grab a set amount of money and "invest it" into some coin or token without saying much else. You can't just pick one, or you might as well just be gambling. If anything, you should learn a bit about investing and stock trading. Sure, the crypto environment might feel intimidating and different from that of, say, NASDAQ, but many trading tips such as how to know what to invest in can apply in both cases. Don't even bother buying into something without doing proper research prior to it. No research means no reasoning behind your investment. No reasoning means it's a gamble, and as we know from these forums and the huge gambling section, gambling will only make others money, not yourself.

539  Economy / Services / Re: Altcoin/Fiat Arbitrage Tool, 30 exchanges and ALL COINS supported on: August 22, 2017, 03:28:12 AM
I agree with the above statement but I think there are still plenty of opportunities given the number of combinations of coins and exchanges. I currently have around 7-8 paying members, so I would hardly call the space crowded still at least with my tool.

Well, the problem is it's not about how many people us the tool, it's about how many people use *any* kind of arbitration tool. The saturation in arbitration lies in the exchanges and their volume themselves. The difference between pairs of currencies in different exchanges and more complex paths between currencies or assets are then filled by those using any tool who have the fastest connection and can transact the fastest with the exchanges and their APIs. Even though your tool might not be crowded, the exchanges might be.

Hey, I see you are still trying to sell your product. If you have updated it at all, I can also update my vouch if you send me a copy which could in turn increase your own sales of this guide. I do not see too many people being convinced by what you are currently selling, so if you improve your guide and let someone review it then the trust could get you a good amount of sales and profit. Also, remember to delete old bumps every time you bump your thread. The forum rules state that only the newer bumps may remain. If you need me for any more reviewing or tips feel free to PM me.
