1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAMM] MammothCoin|Anon Wallet Released - 1st X13 with SuperBlocks on: July 09, 2014, 03:16:48 AM
Stopping PoW will not make much difference to price, what we need is buy support. We need an ETA on phase two, I don't care if it's two months at least we will have something.
That's right. I bought a very small number, but now I'm waiting. I might buy. As I said in my previous post, there doesn't seem to be any hurry, and I'd rather buy when it's going up than down.
But is this coin good?
What is good about this coin?

Can anyone tell me in plain English?
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 09, 2014, 03:05:01 AM
Just engaged a very old friend, he is working for ISIS now, LOL, unbelievable amazing job.
They don't know XC but they actually take advantage of BTC to get support.
The anon feature of XC is very attractive for them you know.
Careful what you say online FBI is gonna come blow up your doors and water board you for infos about "your old friend"  Grin
Right now no one has privacy online until something revolutionary comes along.. Wonder what that may be?..
FBI means nothing for me. I'm not citizen of the states. I'm also not a ISIS supporter. LOL
But XC might support these people who are fighting for freedom.
There was no "blog post" from ISIS. There is no evidence there was. Probably some kind of "false flag".
A story appears claiming there was a "blog post" from ISIS about using Bitcoin. Then that story gets repeated over and over. Then people believe there was a blog post.
ISIS (assuming they're not funded by the CIA anyway lol) get plenty of money. USD if they want, from the Saudi's who back them. The Saudi's get USD for oil.

Voluntarily pooling resources is not theft. That is called voluntarily pooling resources. You are comparing apples to oranges and attempting to build a straw man.
I thought, from what you wrote you were talking about taxation, which some people voluntarily pay.
Anyway we will get too far off topic, but I was just saying some people interpret things differently.
But the good news is that a decentralised monetary system is conducive to freedom regardless of what may be minor (or major) differences of opinion

1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 09, 2014, 01:48:33 AM
Well, if this was the case no one on the fucking planet would pay taxes. The threat of force and violence is the reason anyone allows themselves to be stolen from. The entire system is immoral and unethical and is based on retaliatory violence.
Not everyone sees it quite that way. Some believe it is possible to have some form of government and taxation and still be free to pursue their own goals.
In other words it is possible that people can voluntarily agree to pool resources for the common good.
Of course this takes a certain psychological posture within that society to have that happen peaceably, and life on earth seems to entail all sorts of ebbs and flows with regard to freedom.

But,yes, probably there are many examples today of the use of coercion rather than people voluntarily pooling resources.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QCN] QuazarCoin | Privacy&Data protection | CPU only | Optimized miner on: July 09, 2014, 12:52:22 AM
I'm wondering how big is QCN dev team?
I think there is only one developer. Unless something changed. The dev has been interested in expanding that team, but I don't think any announcement has been made ?
The dev seems to be working very hard though, and making good progress.

As you mentioned correctly, I being idiot, has medical reasons to collect taxes at large. So I throw you to jail ))
Joking apart, where is X11coin's superior anonymity compared with Bitcoin's one? All the offer I see is just decetalized mixing feature, that may save from Drug Enforcement Administration, but can not defend from Internal Revenue Service.
Where I misunderstood? Why Bitcoin is not sufficient?
I don't think anyone is advocating not paying taxes or hiding stuff from the taxman. The problem with Bitcoin is that if someone knows your address then they can see an awful lot about your financial situation.
A lot of people don't want their finances to be that open to (potentially) anyone, but that doesn't mean they want to avoid legitimate taxation.
So Bitcoin is good, but it's potentially a bit too open for a lot of people.

Thank you , for you put it in normal words for people to understand Smiley
Plus I just get a little pissed when people think that folks in cryptos are only in it to do ill deeds. To me that is a personal attack on my character, I dont take such things lightly. Ive tried to live a honest life for the most part, with a few bumps in the road, but over all like to think of myself as a good person.... and crap like that comes up.
The technology of BTC and other crypto's has tremendous benefits for humanity. Smiley

XC is a coin that can deal with this. And it may be the best one, we can't say for sure yet as there is alot going on in this space, but a lot of things about it and the team deserve IMHO serious consideration,.
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 08, 2014, 11:19:42 AM
What a shame such a revolutionary technology has been given to probably the worst generation of people ever,
Welcome to planet earth. Smiley

No one is to blame for what has happened!
We are buying and selling a very interesting yet little known crypto currency. These things are in many ways new kinds of things. You can't expect this market to behave rationally. Even if this coin and technology does have tremendous potential.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 08, 2014, 10:22:04 AM
Who should I trust... Dan Metcalf a rising young star in the Cryptoworld, on the precibus of launching the FIRST & ONLY coin to have 100% truly decentralized & trustless mixing.
Or a bunch of newbie accounts who have minor issues with the release?
Seriously?
The dev & teams actions speak for themselves..or rather not speak.
They have probably gone to bed whilst making a fortune from you suckers....
Yup sure not because I was up for 20 something hours... answering question, cssing reddit, reading emails etc. Same goes for the entire team, Arlyn was up for probably an entire day.
Don't worry about him Teka. I mean, six posts. Who seriously has six posts, then comes and says stuff like that? Roll Eyes

What are the current thoughts on Monero?
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAMM] MammothCoin|Anon Wallet Released - 1st X13 with SuperBlocks on: July 07, 2014, 12:46:01 PM
see history trades all sells no buys. once the buy orders owner wake up they will be pulled
Same thing happened recently in XC. Selling pressure for a while and then once the sellers had finished it began to move. Same thing just happened in XDN too. Lots of selling then when the reward halved they went from 2 sat to 8 sat.
So who knows what will happen? Me.... I'll sit back and maybe pick a few more up.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAMM] MammothCoin|Anon Wallet Released - 1st X13 with SuperBlocks on: July 07, 2014, 12:44:17 PM
Sigh, the ammount of waiting, don't get why there aren't more buys Huh
I think people don't know about this coin yet. I would not have heard of it but someone mentioned it in a trollbox. So I have bought a small number. There doesn't seem to be any hurry for the moment, but maybe if word gets out or the pow period nears its end it will liven up. Smiley
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 07, 2014, 12:17:21 PM
Keep in mind also some traders just realized 50% gains rather quickly the last couple days... so they may want to dump for profit
They may get greedy too Smiley
I set aside a certain amount to trade and certain amount to hold. That way I have been able to sell some and buy some back, and hold the amount I decided to hold.
I don't know if that system works the best but it hedges me emotionally. haha Smiley
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 07, 2014, 12:09:13 PM
I still don't get it, why those fuckin dumpers trying to dump the price by making big sell walls? Isn't would be better to buy now at current market price and wait price pump together with us? Or maybe they want to dump the price because now they doesnt deal with price? They want to buy it cheaper?  Sorry but I'm new and unfamiliar with those things about buy/sell walls and etc.
Maybe they are as nervous as everyone else?
No one knows where the price will be tomorrow , let alone next week. Large lines of XC regularly trade, so I assume that if someone puts a buy or sell wall in they are willing to get bought from or sold to. Maybe the people putting walls up don't know what they are doing either Smiley
The thing is IMHO one needs to have a plan and execute it. Then you don't have to worry so much about walls. Smiley
If you keep watching the walls you might keep changing your mind about what your plan is. Smiley
Unless your plan is to watch for walls, Cheesy
1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: July 07, 2014, 03:38:09 AM
I think now, that there are only 3 coins with working/promising anonymity features that will succeed longterm.

That includes Darkcoin, Monero, and Vertcoin. All 3 represent different types of anonymity and are the Only anonymous/privacy centric coins that are worth considering/looking at.

Darkcoins anonymity comes through the use of Masternodes, which help to strengthen the network, get rewarded for doing so, as well as make it impossble to see the senders and recievers in a transaction.
Why do you think Dark will succeed and XC not succeed? If that's what your saying.

Quote
Moneros anonymity comes through Ring Signatures, which provide the highest known level of anonymity and which makes it impossible to see who the senders and recievers in a transaction.
Why will Monero succeed and others such as say, XDN (or one of the others) not succeed? If that is what you are saying?

There seems to be some argument that as we don't need more than one coin, or more than one of each kind then that is what will happen. One reason we will get more than one of each IMHO is not merely humans penchant for variety, but also the risk offset of having alternatives.
