141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: November 14, 2020, 08:57:02 PM
ETH is not perfect, but I think it will be very difficult to compete with it and even more so to surpass other projects. It appeared at the right time, and now it is one of the strongest projects on the market, although such moments as the increase in the cost of gas in recent years, say that everything is not so good.
The timing of ETH release was perfect, in the beginning it was supposed to get incorporated in bitcoin but we know it is not that easy to get any proposal getting passed easily and they went as an independent project and it changed the market altogether and anyone who invested during the initial period made a lot of money along with the miners who helped with the project. Hopefully the ETH 2.0 will change the issues the project is facing but i am not happy with the change to POS.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will YFI go down again? on: November 13, 2020, 11:49:06 PM
~
How sure are you that YFI will never go down again?  If you look at its price chart history, after its massive surge to $40k  it ever since going down.  There might be some pump surges but I think YFI has nothing new to offer in the market yet so I am expecting that will eventually go down to its actual value, unless YFI whales decided to take profit again and pump it hard.
It looks like he was sarcastic about the situation  Tongue. This is a massive pump and dump market and the DeFi market will attract all the pump team that were pumping the hell out of shit coins in the past and i guess that is what is happening in the market and it is hard to understand when the bubble will be broken. So anyone willing to take risk should be aware of the situation and get out without getting on the wrong side.
143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is the secret to success in trading? on: November 11, 2020, 11:43:03 PM
the most important thing to have a fixed-paying job to invest, do not put all your money because you can risk losing everything.

This is the basic thing you need to invest money, without a job or business how you can allocate money to invest in literally anything  Cheesy. If you are investing in cryptocurrency then you can trust all the major coins and the principle is to invest at the right time and it is the basic rule in every investment. The risk reward is really high in cryptocurrency and so is the reason you are seeing many institutional investors getting attracted to this market.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO! Which one do you want to return again? on: November 11, 2020, 10:39:24 PM
I am not going to pick them all back. I hope they will be packaged together, which results in an even better system in the following years. I think that will definitely happen when you look at the situation in the last few years.
To be frank i do not want to see any of these to return like the way it did, i was happy to see the initial stages and i was rooting for them but the difficulties in controlling the scams and the ability to push the projects that were good and died off eventually because none of them progressed and the investors lost the money while the developers kept the money. If there is a strict regulation to monitor these then it would be great.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 is launched on: November 11, 2020, 10:21:19 PM
As of the latest updates more than 12 million has already been moved to the eth 2.0 deposit contract in the first week of opening.
Things are going to really heat up around eth 2.0 mainnet so im trying to accumulate more eth because i know eth is gearing up to surprise the community.
I am awaiting to be surprised to know what all surprises are in stores in the next one year. There is an interest from many corners to invest in ETH and people are taking the risk to stake the coin without knowing how it will go and many are advertising about how they are staking the coins which is a good thing if you are willing to take the risk, i might do that at a later time even if i am interested as i am not interested to risk my coins.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: American election is nothing to do with BTC on: November 10, 2020, 11:02:02 PM
The election is going to have a lot of impact in the price of bitcoin. With the economy recovering under Biden administration, we will be seeing the price of US dollar rising. It has never been this low compared to past few years before trump administration! Also, Trump delayed the stimulus package and was supposed to be distributed after the election. With Biden presidency, we are expecting to receive it anytime soon (trump has yet to concede though). The stimulus might encourage people to invest more in bitcoin.
And we expect the stocks to start rallying and bitcoin might also start doing the same.
These are expectations and hope you have on the new president but lets wait and see how they can help the market or whether they will be successful in helping the economy recover. I have my doubts whether that can be done anytime soon and stimulus package alone will not help anything.
Give them a few more months and we will see how his policies will affect the market.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: Effective Covid-19 vaccine found on: November 10, 2020, 09:47:23 PM
Can we imagine how bitcoin dump on March then the pandemic was also announced by that month. And without the vaccine, bitcoin reached $15k. The point is, there is a chance that bitcoin could go higher if the situation is back to normal.
There are many factors for that, the US was printing more money and trying to pump the economy during those days and the bitcoin market started to move because institutional investors were hedging on bitcoin rather than other financial assets as the chances of economic crisis were looming when everything was shut down and developing a vaccine will shed some positivity to the market and it will have an impact on the entire financial market.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: November 08, 2020, 11:55:00 PM
ETH has always occupied at least 30% of my entire portfolio come thick or thin. This reduces the risk of losing all my portfolio to scam altcoin projects, since BTC actually takes at least 50% always. However, this doesn't condemn other altcoin holders, it's always good to hold coins belonging to projects you believe in long term. The major reason why I think ETH will do excessively well in the long run is because many projects depend on ETH blockchain and the team keeps building. I've lost count of DAPPS built on ETH.
If your major holding is ETH and Bitcoin then you made the best investment in the cryptocurrency space, there are many projects in the market but how many meaningful projects can be successful in the long run is always a big question and we hardly see many projects that survived the long run and my theory will always be get in and get out safely rather than holding them for a long period.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 08, 2020, 11:21:19 PM
~
His popular is gonna lived short but the feeling of losing $5 million is with him forever if it's not his usual bet size.
The trust for Trump made some people loses money as they thought Trump had a good odds and he has a high winning chances at the same time.
The situations were much closer than we think, it was competitive till the end and this was the most polled election in a century and that will change the odds very much and the uncertainty was high and you really cannot trust the exit poll and it was a good bet but to place five million for that was excessive.

I made a $100 bet on Trump to win and once the tide turned in favor of Biden i placed another $1500 and covered my loss Cheesy.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 07, 2020, 10:04:11 PM
Too bad he choose the wrong one. However I don't think it will bother him no one will place $5M on a single bet for sure this person is really rich that he can manage to lose that $5M easily.
People do take chances to win big and there are crazy people like these who will bet big and making these kind of huge bets has its advantages, he will get popular in a short period and now everyone will be discussing about that crazy huge bet of five million and how he lost that Grin.
I am only a small time gambler who wages online and hence i am not aware whether he is able to cash out while betting in physical book.
151  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: November 07, 2020, 12:00:08 AM
I think you're right Mate, Defi hype was slowly faded away because most of the Defi token price is decreasing on day to day basis, and even the Yearn Finance token (YFI) price is also decreasing from its $43K all-time high during September 2020 now it was down to $10K per YFI token, but again it was still expensive it's better to wait in the following days and let us see what will happen to the proud Defi.
The ETH 2.0 will be rolling out soon and it will have a positive impact on the DeFi market as well, even when Vitalik Buterin tweeted about the upgrade the price started to move and the DeFi market was also having an impact with the price moving higher in all the DeFi tokens which means that once the upgrade is finalized we might see a huge rally.
152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is pumping on: November 05, 2020, 09:41:18 PM
Certainly that might be the reason but you cannot eradicate the fact that Bitcoin pump is lot related to PayPal starting to allow cryptocurrency purchase using their platform. This is a big step forward or you can also say towards Bitcoin adoption.
If you look back in history whenever the price of bitcoin started to break resistance with ease you will tend to hear some or the other news and it has nothing to do with the sudden adoption and even in this case i do not think that the news about PayPal started allowing cryptocurrency purchases did not suddenly change the adoption rate but it has propelled the market forward.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for ETH on: November 04, 2020, 09:13:44 PM
BREAKING: The Reserve Bank of Australia exploring potential use of a digital currency (CBDC) that will be powered by the Ethereum blockchain!
The limitations of the Ehereum bockchain has to explored as well, we are hearing the hype of ETH 2.0 for a long time and we are yet to hear about their final plans and i have my doubts whether these updates will make any rapid changes or whether they have a solution after all, i am not following their development for a long time as i used to follow when i was actively involved with the project and spending my resources to mine ETH along with other projects but what i have to say is they failed big time from their initial promises.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown in Europe can their economy survive this?. on: November 04, 2020, 05:31:16 PM
I’m sure by now all must have heard that Germany and France have imposed second lockdown, and this news shall crush small business owners morale, and even effect those people who rely on jobs cause it’s quiet possible that they may never be employed again.
The first lockdown has already killed many small business and many shut their business and now if they lock everything once again it will cause irreparable damage as many will be left jobless including small business owners and what the government could do to help them is still not known and i do not think the government will do anything to help these small businesses.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: November 03, 2020, 11:00:18 PM
Next one is Bellator 251 Manhoef VS. Anderson on November 5th
I am picking Corey Anderson to win the fight and since it is his debut fight with Bellator and that too against Melvin Manhoef who is a striker and if Corey Anderson could take down Manhoef he could control the fight on the ground.

Total domination by Mousasi.  Not sure what Lima's game plan was out there.
Gegard Mousasi is a legend of the sport and what i do not like about Bellator is they are forcing Welterweight fighters to move up and kill their hype, last they derailed Rory MacDonald and now Douglas Lima.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous teams on: November 02, 2020, 11:57:24 PM
I will also immediately avoid projects with anonymous teams, because legit projects usually have a real team and show their faces
and social media links. So we can see the project team's profile, because choosing projects with an anonymous team is very risky.
The possibility of these projects scams is very large, after all I cannot accept any reason for projects with anonymous teams.
Bitcoin started with Satoshi but everyone trusted him and that is where the anonymous teams started to arise citing this example and the scammers started to join the same method and now no one trust a team with anonymous members because we have seen billions of dollars to scammers and we need to be careful and think twice before investing in any project.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum Classic undervalued? on: November 02, 2020, 11:25:48 PM
@Abiky. It was never going anywhere without the support of the original developers. Ethereum Classic, similar to Bitcoin Cash and others, I have never seen a project that forked without its original developers that became successful.
This made me chuckle, the original developer who made everything possible is a mystery and not related with bitcoin and as far as development is concerned your words are almost true as there are new terms coming out every now and then but whether these additions made any changes for the base concerns is to be reviewed but the price is moving higher.
That being said i do not expect Ethereum Classic to make any moves that would drop anyone's jaw seeing their valuation and that is the case with their development.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Death during illegal cockfighting raid on: November 01, 2020, 11:24:58 PM
You are correct mate, it's the responsibility of the police officers to eradicate illegal gambling here in the Philippines but i think it's easier said than done as there is too many illegal activities going on here and some have the backings of police officers itself.
If the police are helping these illegal gambling houses then they will be getting the information when they plan on raiding the place and they could change the set up in a matter of hours.

That police officer that died during the raid was prepared but not careful enough to handle the chicken. That blade is so sharp that if it hits your vital organ, you are done. Many have died on this kind of accident and this recent one should be a lesson to all involve that this activity is dangerous and police officers should not touch those chickens with blade still on as this mighty fighter would take their life.
I never knew that chickens are attached with blades, so is this a death match like the gladiators Grin.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do your own research before opting-in on: October 31, 2020, 11:12:55 PM
Be careful with altcoin bounties, they are mostly scam, I'm not saying all of them are but majority of them are not making sense, make sure you don't just join bounties without proper analysis, the most annoying ones are DeFi bounties, full of projects with no team information, do your part and save your time and energy.
Never promote that have anonymous developers and team members, when the ICO projects started everyone was adamant about having their privacy even though they were collecting millions of dollars and then we saw a huge percentage of scammers followed the route and billions are lost and that is happening in DeFi.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 31, 2020, 10:21:04 PM
~
Damn, this was unexpected, did he had a off night or just dived this game? Lol, Anyways, this will motivate the remaining seeded players, like Thiem and Medvedev and an unknown Evans who defeated Dmitrov. The same Dmitrov who gives Stefanos one hell of a match and defeated the Greek Freak. So it's very unpredictable tournament, if I was to bet, I'm sure I'm going to lose already.
If he took a dive then all the gamblers who took a big hit will put a value on his head  Cheesy. Most of the bets were for direct win for Djokovic and not only that almost all of the top seeded players crashed out on a single day which is rare, may be a group dive  Cheesy.

I was lucky that i did not place a bet because of the really low odds and never thought about wagging for the underdog which save me Kiss.
