come on, give the guy a break. he already screwed up once, this is his chance to redeem himself. when his daughter grows up, bitcoin could be $100,000 each, and she will ask him, papa, why did you not hold your bitcoins? it makes me sad just thinking about it, honestly.

this is the best chance to buy in since last fall. maybe even wait a few more days, since i expect price to test the $600 mark again. buy, and hold this time! you can thank me later.

DOUBLE OR NOTHIN'!
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Distribution of Wealth Detailing the BTC Holdings of Wallet Addresses on: February 10, 2014, 10:46:31 PM
Here is an interesting chart (as of 2/6/2014):

Obviously most people (myself included), that hold a decent amount of BTC are holding them in different wallets, however the above chart shows that if your btc wallet address holds more than 0.01 BTC, that you are currently in the top 1% of the bitcoin richest addresses.

This is an interesting distribution chart, as the number of addresses holding 1k or more bitcoins is very small in comparison to the world's population.   Where do you sit?

Does the stats strike a resemblance to something that is extremely familiar?

I've turned all of my savings into wooden nickels.  It turns out that wooden nickels are actually worth more than actual nickels!

I should just open an exchange of my own.

www.EventuallyImGoingToStealYourBitcoins.com

And just have it be part of the EULA that "Management may or may not keep some or all of your BTC".

Now that would be acting like Paypal!

Wink

I'm not sure I can allow a man with an eyepatch to wink at me.  How can I tell you're not just blinking?

Gimmee a day or so until my parrott returns from his tour of Costa Rica; I'll put on a hat with a skull and crossbones, put the parrott on my shoulder and speak like a pirate, matey!

LOL!

Seriously though you gotta get a nice handmade one like The Governor on The Walking Dead.

Does she accept bitcoins, that's the real question...
I'd definitely provide her with a 'private key'.

BOOM! lol
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: something fishy about Gox, need some inputs here on: February 10, 2014, 10:35:18 PM
Someone explain something to me. Why would the attackers do this knowing that they would cause the price to tank? If it causes BTC to be worthless then they're also SOL. Maybe they didn't think they would get caught somehow? Sometimes smart people can be so damn dumb...

If you stole $100,000 knowing you could sell it for $50,000, you're nothing thinking "Awww jeez, if I hadn't stole the $100,000 I wouldn't have driven the price down!"

They're not taking a $50,000 loss on $100,000, they're taking a $50,000 gain on ZERO.

Nights are extremely long on Mt. GOXXX.  They don't experience Linear Time as we do, down here on Earth.

Also there is no concept of ownership.  "Your Coins" are "Our Coins".

Actually, I was quoting Gavin Andresen of the BTC Foundation.

Oh, that's weird.  I was paraphrasing him.

Seems legit.

Send me your email, I actually had a Nigerian prince email me saying he had millions of dollars to give me.  I don't really need it, so maybe he can send it to you instead?

No kidding! I just had an unknown relative die in Nigeria that left me millions and they just happened to magically know my email address.

Well I tell you what, you send your 10 million, and I'll send my 10 million, and then angry nerd should have enough to scrape together some new shoelaces, a worn out pair of leather shoes, and an old fedora, and maybe a nice coffee can to shake around for spare change.

He actually left to create FlappyBird, and when then took off, the pressure made him crack again.

Holy smokes, I was thinking the exact same thing today. So it must be true!

It is.  Now that you've read it on the internet, you know it to be fact.

what about the mother of the girl? where is she, why isnt she paying, did she died?

And more importantly, why isn't SHE out giving the handjobs?
I'd pay for those.

Does she accept bitcoins, that's the real question...

priests have kids to do that kind of job, they would not like me, this is very well known. Let s go back in topic now

Back in topic:

Go get a job.  If you want people to give you free bitcoins, open an exchange like Mt. GOXXX.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: something fishy about Gox, need some inputs here on: February 10, 2014, 10:25:15 PM

ok got it, but supposedly we will fix the Malleability issue today, how will this fix all their issues ? they will still have ton of other issues on their side, this is what I really don't get, do they take us for idiots ?

Yes.  And all of their customers keep proving them correct, again, and again, and again, and again...

Actually, I was interested in an answer to my question:

I hate to be the devil's advocate here (especially being a newbie), but how does "known about since 2011" fit with "cannot be corrected overnight"?

Christ, by the sounds of it you may need to go out and get a job to pay your rent!

What's an elderly man of 25 to do!?!?!

I had a regular job I have lost it now I am trying to go on with brief temporary part time jobs but it is very hard. You have no idea how hard it is to find a job in Italy in these days, if you are not Friend-to-someone-important.

Sell handjobs at the Vatican.  I guarantee you'll make more than you ever would have with BitCoin.

I am not even Catholic. Have you ever heard that stereotypes like Italians being dark haired short connected to mafia and Catholic could be a bit wrong? maybe simply stereotypes?

I didn't say you were Catholic.  I said you could make money giving out handjobs at the Vatican.  Very different.

Included with every GOXXXING is a copy of our free cookbook - "To Serve Man"!
