We wouldn't tolerate this kind of behavior from someone being paid to shill an altcoin, an exchange, etc. Why do we tolerate it for a news site?

It's only a matter of time before the guy gets nuked I believe... On a lighter note, I guess we need a loyceV domain for checking this guys status Tongue I suggest IsCheezCarlsNukedYet.tk?

Update: This guy has the audacity to apply in Chipmixer campaign OMEGALUL!

Infinity is infinitely random and infinitely ordered.

The statement is contradictory...

Quote from: britannica
The complete rule stipulates that the product of the uncertainties in position and velocity is equal to or greater than a tiny physical quantity, or constant (h/(4π), where h is Planck’s constant, or about 6.6 × 10−34 joule-second).

Even if we will never have enough resources to calculate this, it still doesn't actually prove Randomness exists.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has a lot of fans world wide, if you go to the Middle East and Russia he is a super start and just image the population they have and say that he is not revered by the fans, he might not be having the same fan base in US but globally he is a much bigger super start and for some country to built a stadium for Khabib Nurmagomedov to fight,

It's a small ( /Flat ) world for McChicken Fans, something which they can't wrap their head around...  Roll Eyes

Quote from: tokeweed
^  Yup.  Khabib must feel a bit salty being an undefeated champ but still not as revered by the fans and not as highly regarded by the UFC as somewhat of a king and the face of the organization.

Anybody who has watched a single documentary about him can figure out that he hardly gives a fuck about fame or being the face of a UFC... It's Haram for him to be fighting for money... Why would he want to be the face of something which is forbidden in his religion? He is doing all this to help his society that's it.

@Lucius Exactly!, @hilariousandco agrees with us... I dunno if the guy has been warned yet or not cuz He hasn't changed his posting behaviour... Not even once he has bothered to engage in his threads, the guy is just gaming the system as you said...

Screenshots would be appreciated.

This is pretty much it still looks like... I found it via Google images there are quite a few images on there you can check them out yourself. The image I found was from this article: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@remedy/yobit-net-dice-game-my-experience-and-strategy . The guy shares his experience of losing 18 bets in a row but fails to understand that the game isn't provable fair. He gets this idea that any time his profit reaches 50% of his bankroll in a day there is a trigger of sorts which then results in him losing all of his bankroll. The interesting thing I found out was this...

Quote from: SteemIt
I Began with YoBit Approximately 4 Months Prior to writing this and played the dice game when I was introduced to YoBit's "Invest Box" program, which pays it's users to loan your existing coins out for a set percentage much like poloniex's Lending program, in particular I was interested in Liza coin (a customer of mine recommended it because of the income he had earned from it), But in order to collect your daily reward for lending your coins, you had to bet at least once on the dice game, The minimum being .00000001, to however many coins you wanted to bet.

I dunno if this still applies on the "investbox" but the more I read about Yobit the shadier they get...

Value is an intrinsically human concept. If humans desire something (membership, ownership, or something else entirely) then it has value.  If humans do not desire it, then it does not have value.

This is something he has failed to wrap his head around... he just doesn't get it... It's all about human subjectivity. The only reason the FIAT/Gold etc is "valuable" is because of collective human subjectivity, which I mentioned in one of my replies... Once you take that out there is no such thing as "Value".

We all have to wait until a victim accepts they were scammed then steps forward to post here with their claim - then see which way it all plays out.

So I PMed @loyceV a few days ago... about Yobit's dice, I was part of their Cryptotalk and Yotoken campaign... When they launched the X10 campaign I thought that was it I'm out as it was shady as FK, I never placed their X10 Signature on... but they then changed to YoToken whatever the FK it was called...  I continued for a while and once my balance reached 0.01 BTC, This dice page option appeared out of nowhere in the navbar. I visited the page turns out they have a dice game which is only available to users who have a balance of at least 0.01 BTC. I looked around to see if the game was provable fair as I saw 0.3 BTC bets going off in the public history. I couldn't find anything related to it. I searched the FAQs and there was nothing about this game. That was the point I got out of yobit campaign as they are indulged in shady practices. Anyway, I did a bit of googling and found that there were threads created about Yobit's dice but they were never tagged for it, they date back to 2016...

Anyway, my point is its been 4 years and they haven't made their game provable fair. How much time does it take to make the game provable fair and why hide it for new users? They deserve to be tagged for their shady practices at least IMO. I asked @loyceV about his thoughts on this I won't reveal what he said to me... He presented his Opinion, Now I want to hear the opinion of other DT members. Why haven't YoBit been tagged?

Kinda derailing the thread but I was wondering if you guys know any resources ( free ) to catch up highlights of recent matches... There used to be CrickHDHighlights or something I don't remember it's domain tbh but their videos used to be taken down rather quickly... Any suggestions guys? Is there a reliable source out there for highlights?

With that said, I wanna hear constructive opinions/predictions/speculations, on how things are gonna end up by the end of this year, and this decade. How is the GDP gonna get affected by everything happening, how are countries going to survive recession, and what is to say that we won't suffer through the Great Depression Phase 2? And most importantly, how is crypto going to come out of this?

Oh Boy! where do I even start... There are so many ways to look at this... Anyway, I will go about my rant from the sociological perspective. If I am being honest the average joe still doesn't understand how the money ( FIAT ) is created out of thin air. The parts of the social machine has ensured a class consciousness ( across lower and middle class ) isn't reached... I'm not talking about just money but about privacy as well. The current education system focuses on neither of these, but it never will as it's a part of the machine which ensures a sort of order in the society and prevents the lower and middle class to reach class consciousness... For bitcoin ( / Cryptos )  to come out as the Saviour, we need to reach class consciousness of sort by whatever means necessary whether you call it the Great Depression phase 2 or Total Economic collapse... But Frankly, I don't see it happening even if there is a Financial Crash of sorts, Banks will most likely get bailed out again as the average joe doesn't understand/care much about these things.

Cutting to the chase Bitcoin ( / Cryptos ) aren't coming out as the next world reserve currency for at least the next decade IMO, I just don't see it happening that rapidly... Too many people still don't understand how to operate a PC normally, How they are being tracked on every single website they visit, what information to give out, How to protect their identity etc... Simply put it's quite a stretch that we will see Bitcoin becoming the world currency in the next decade... But what I do know for certain is the demand for Bitcoin ( / Cryptos ) will steadily increase as more people become aware of these facts and more of them get access to the internet. Unless we see aggressive reforms which prevent people to keep their privacy E.g  Patriot Act [1] and straight out Bans on Cryptos. I expect Bitcoin to hit $50,000+ in the coming years, due to depreciating Dollar and Bitcoin's Deflationary nature.

The FIAT scam has lasted way longer then it should have, to it to go away we need a slow and gradual shift to an alternative like Bitcoin rather than a quick and messy one. We might even see a new form of FIAT backed by ( POW ) basically Dogecoin in a nutshell. If somehow miraculously we reach Class consciousness I see this FIATCOIN ( libra comes to my mind ) being pushed as a way to fool masses... Basically those who own the means of production i.e the banks in our case won't allow a change to occur that's what Karl Marx suggested. We will see quite a lot of it in the coming years as Bitcoin gets more traction. Bitcoin basically takes away this means of production from them... We might even see a Gold-backed cryptocurrency launching in the Muslim-World [2]. TBH I don't see what's the point of that when Bitcoin fulfils the purpose of being a form of Money even when considered from Sharia's perspective. I guess it has more to do with Satoshi's stash than anything else. I wonder what will happen if something like this became a reality, I mean both Gaddafi and Sadam proposed the same and both got eliminated one could argue if they put their tinfoil hat on, Malaysia is a rather stable democracy... It will be interesting to see what awaits them ( freedom most likely ) if they pursue this kind of path... This could well be the reason we have a world war from... But I am not sure if this currency will even become a reality.

TL: DR Bitcoin's price will keep growing steadily tho will be faced by a few challenges...

I pretty much agree with you @aoluain and @JayJuanGee... There are somethings tho which I can't wrap my head around... Most of these people who support CSW claim he has the credentials for being Satoshi but what I fail to understand is why didn't he reveal himself right at the inception? Surely his credentials would have given the bitcoin's community a sense of stability. Why would a person who was so deeply focused on his privacy all of sudden want to give it away?... The Math doesn't add up to me at least... Imagine if someone published the general relativity theory anonymously and once it was proven correct, Einstein came forward to claim it was all him all along. It would appear it was him as he has the credentials but there would have been no way to verify his claims. But we all know Einstein stood by his theory and was proven just recently. I mean if CSW truly believed in his "Idea" why didn't he stick with it? Put your credentials on the line from the right go why hide behind an Alias... Thoughts like these will never make me believe CSW is Satoshi.

OK.  If so, I hope he has fun.  Because that’s all he could get.  He doesn’t have the resources to “pull off” the attack:  Nobody does, and I am much more sure that he will not “get lucky” than I am sure I will not be killed by a flying fire hydrant today.

I will trust your judgement on that @nullius as I clearly lack the technical knowledge of ACISs and cryptography.

Don't worry, though. He is confident he will receive the keys at an unspecified "later date", but won't disclose when, by what method, in what form, or by who. All he will say is that the keys might come "split into parts", conveniently setting the groundwork for his next lie as to why he still cannot sign a message.

I wonder if he is trying to crack satoshi's keys... I mean he definitely has got the resources to pull off an operation on this scale and he is maybe trying to get lucky... If he even succeeds to crack one most people will actually become convinced that he is satoshi. He already is getting things patented so it will serve him up in the long run. A perfect scam? Thoughts?

Quote from: aoluain
Did you ask him to sign a message from one of the Satoshi wallets?

I think the demand should be all of Satoshi's addresses, not just one. Given the scenario above we can make it harder for people to steal satoshi's identity...

Imagine someone famous within the mainstream world showing him/herself using Bitcoin in a Hollywood movie or even in public.

Already has happened in quite a few movies and tv shows[1]... Bitcoin has reached the attention of masses ( tho in a negative light )... TBH one could argue that the whole idea behind Bitcoin is to wake the masses up! Instead of being a braindead sheep following the "trend" Bitcoin demands the average joe to fucking wake up and take control of their lives... Why follow Person X? Do your own research and make the decision on your own for once, trust me it isn't hard. You just need to put a bit of time in but that's the least you can do for the freedom ( from inflation, ever going debt, financial crashes and so on ) which Bitcoin offers... I never liked this idea of following a leader be your own fucking leader! Stop taking these celebrities like godhead figures, they are human just like you, they shit like you and eat like you! You don't lack anything ( intellectually at least ) which they have more of... smdh!

@Thekool1s. Agreed, however, I was not talking about the bigger picture. I was only calling attention on how bitcoin might be tamed by the regulators instead of regulators tamed by bitcoin.

Fair enough... From the way I see it and what the Estimates suggest it looks like the regulators are already tamed by the unbanked  Wink We have got nothing to worry about for now at least...

It should bank the unbanked, however, it appears it has been better in unbanking the banked hehehehe.

Well if you take into account the bigger picture, bitcoin's percentage comes out as pretty insignificant. According to the IMF, around $600 billion to $1.5 trillion of illicit money is laundered annually.[1] Given these figures are accurate, Bitcoin's usage for illicit purposes turns out to be mere 0.46% and less in the bigger picture. The way I see it, it looks like the banks and local regulations are helping the banked become unbanked Roll Eyes

I doubt it's a priority and from the quote above it doesn't look like it's a quick/easy fix to remove them, but them being there isn't really an issue.

From what I believe how this information is stored is in MySQL database, there are respective columns for each "Social network" and the values are stored in a row. If the columns are renamed to the other "Networks" that should do the trick but I guess it's not a priority for now...

I think it would be useful to restrict the link in the Website entry to a site owned and run by the member including the link.

The only "usefulness" I see is to prevent scams/phishing but then again its something which isn't moderated here, tbh I don't think we need it. What am interested in tho is what kind of click-rate do these website URLs get each month...

Quote from: hilariousetc
But how would you enforce that? And besides, I like using it for other stuff.

One of the ways that could be achieved could be via placing a small code in the header of the website you "own". Just like Google Adsense. You place a small code in your header which is then verified by google crawlers.

Moderator who were received or will be received your reports will have to spend some amount of time to look at that account. Nuking one user is a serious thing to do, so when decision is made, it should be a right one.

Well, in this case, it is an easy decision. ( Possible Comment ) The user has posted coindar's links besides 1 post in the bitcoin discussion board and a shitpost in coindar's thread... The user at least deserves a warning and a soft ban on posting URLs to external websites but it won't be effective as this account was most likely created for the purpose of advertising so nuking it won't be doing a harm to its owner...

Also, I am not on a level to say who is bad or good, however, taking crime use away from bitcoin will take away one of its important applications.

You should read Satoshi's whitepaper again, It's supposed to be a currency and like all currencies, it is susceptible to Money Laundering. I don't know why people only see Money Laundering as the only "application" of Bitcoin. What about it being a medium to transfer wealth swiftly without having to pay extortionist fees in the process?

So basically what Binance is saying that the "local jurisdiction / Regulations" allow people to launder money if they are smart enough? Is this what it indirectly means? LOL...
