Hi guys, I have made a transfer from my exchange wallet to bitcoin-india wallet and on blockchain there has been 49 confirmations( as of writing) but still the btc not reflecting in my wallet. Its been more than 7+ hours. Any help?
address: 17fb1G7nF3N6K6zSpR1D8Y1tQbhRNzPRWU
Are you sure they gave you this address to send the btc on? Double check the address they asked you to send BTC to. If it checks out, contact their support and ask them what is going on. They can only help you with this matter.

What's the best way to get back into this with having literally no income to actually invest with? Since you've been off for years like you said, read a lot. Then if you think you know enough, join a signature campaign here(You need at least Jr member to join one): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0This is exactly what is wrong with the community right now, All they 'recommend' straight away is to join a signature campaign, which leads to more spam. There are much better things which can be done, Why not sell Physical products? Maybe even dropship stuff for BTC? If OP has some skills, why not sell them for BTC?

Hi All,
My account 'mazzaneo' has been compromised for the past month or so, i only realised because the hacker tried to change the email address, i was sent an email to verify the change and subsequently froze the account.
I do not recall putting a digital signature on my account so therefore cannot verify it.
I have been on the forum for years and do not want to lose all the trust and hard work I have put into it.
The question, how can I get my account back without signing a digital signature?
Can this be done with my old email address?
Thanks in advance for any help.
No, Emails can be hacked too so they aren't a reliable source to tell if the owner is indeed the real owner. http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/ is currently down right now, So i can't tell if someone has quoted a message which contained your bitcoin address. if someone has, only then you have the chance of recovering this account, else considered it gone forever.

It's only me or i can't even open it for now, i wanna check my account The Website is down too for me, OP are you planning to shutdown this service by anychance?

Removed the Signature as told, Will put it back on when the campaign is unpaused.

MY BITCOIN ADDRESS: 1KmQiiSzL2oZawSTBowgfYJ9fMiELBTNpW
You have to sign it first, before anyone can stake it, if you don't know how to sign a bitcoin address then follow this guide. You can sign it with anything like e.g 'This is GreatArkansas, Want to stake my this bitcoin address' etc.

can i send You a msg that i sended to Cyrus so You can check if thats a right signed message ?
Sure. Edit: Message Verified
|
|
|
Anyone maybe know how log it will take Cyrus to read the message ? i send it 02.11.2017
its just been 4 days, give them some time. You won't be getting your account anytime soon as they have a backlog to clear before they reach your request. On Average it will takes around 1-3 months to recover, for me it took at least 35 days if i remember correctly. All you can do is Be Patient.

I wanted to ask is there any feature on bitcointalk where we can find addresses posted by a user? Instead of going through the history of a user, is there a quick way to find out weather a bitcoin address was posted by a user or not? Is there some sort of script etc for this?

My account 'TERA' has been stolen. For proof I can email you from the original email account that the account was registered to. Thanks.
This won't do the trick, you will have to sign an address which was quoted by someone, if you can find an address which has been quoted by someone then you can follow this thread to recover your account. UPDATE: So i found out that you have never posted a btc address here on the forum, You may consider your account gone forever. https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/?token=jbujopp4

Hey guys I wanted to ask what should I do for someone new into electrum as I think its a good wallet for someone using it for no higher then $500 so I wanted to know should i use a standard wallet or 2fa wallet?
Well it depends on how much computer knowledge you have, if you feel like you can be easily hacked then go with the 2fa, but if you think you have great understanding of how these machines work then go with standard wallet.

I also saw several Newbies with really interesting posts, but most of users are starting the same topic threads, like "Bitcoin vs Gold" over and over again.
Just read this line and something came to my mind. Why not introduce a feature like quick search before posting a new thread, it would greatly reduce the spam threads on the forum. Like for example if users want to search for 'transaction being stuck' instead of creating the thread right away, show them a small list of 'quick' result, it will be a good forum feature and could help identify spammers.

Hey, i would like to get a vouch copy, i will give an honest feedback for your method. BTW how many free accounts do we need to get that $450 per day? Also you don't believe that any one will trust you with those newbie reviews right? They somehow found your thread and decided to buy a product worth $150? It looks suspicious. So why not put this to an end and give out a vouch copy?

Electrum 3.0 is out and the addresses are starting with bc1 apparently. I have a hardware wallet in the other hand where SegWit is supported too but the addresses are starting with 3 instead. What are the differences and are they compatible between each other (including the old addresses). Could I receive/send without having to worry?
The addresses starting with 3 (nested Segwit in a P2SH type) are definitely backwards compatible: older (non-Segwit) wallet software can receive BTC from your P2SH addresses, and they can send to them too. The addresses starting bc1 (bech32 P2WPKH type) are a new Segwit only type to make addresses easier to use. They essentially make addresess case-insensitive, e.g. BC1MYNEWBITCOINADDRESSISBECH32 is the exact same address as bc1mynewbitcoinaddressisbech32 I'm sure bc1 (bech32 P2WPKH) are backwards compatible at the blockchain level, because they'd need a hard fork to implement them if not, but that doesn't mean that old wallet software will allow you to send BTC to them. Receiving from them using old wallet software may also be a problem, depending on how that specific wallet software is written. But old wallet software may be able to send or receive, to reiterate, it entirely depends on how the software was written. It's maybe best to think of the 3 (P2SH) addresses as transitional, and the bc1 (bech32 P2WPKH) addresses as better for a post-Segwit situation (i.e. once non-Segwit addresses become atypical for users and businesses) Hey Carlton Banks, can you explain this in simple english kindly? I am not a technical guy, don't understand the terms like P2SH etc. I have few questions, that i would like to ask. 1) What are these Segwit Addresses? 2) How are these different from normal Addresses? 3) How are the fees low compared to other addresses? 4) If i upgrade from 2.9.3 to 3.0 will i have old addresses or it will swipe them?

I don't think a service like this exists, which tracks down the well known hacks etc, There is no way right now someone can tell you whether your coins are clean or not, because each of them would have been in thousands of different addresses through their life. Making it almost impossible to tell from where the coins were stolen from. Just like OmegaStarScream said you can use a mixing service like ChipMixer, just to get that mind satisfaction you are looking for.

What do you mean by one of your account? Mind explaining this? Are you running multiple accounts on the forum? If so then let me warn you, its extremely discouraged to farm accounts here. If caught, you should expect negative trust from Default trust members.

0) I want to keep my BTC for looooooong time without transacting - just like a savings account. Is the above combo ideal for my needs? Yes it is.
1) will i need to set the seed (passphrase) to both watch-only and cold wallet? Do they have to be the same? No, You will have one seed and one public master key. Read more here: http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/coldstorage.html
2) I keep reading about how important backups are. I assume I totally need to backup my offline cold storage. But does it make sense to backup the watch-only wallet too? Your public master key is linked with your seed(wallet).
3) When I install these wallets how much GB they will take up roughly? Less than an 1 MB.
4) when I transfer from the exchange site, do I need to "receive coin" from the online wallet or from the cold wallet? Where do I send it to? Your watch only wallet will show your offline cold storage addresses, so you don't have to worry about anything.
4.5) I understand sending funds needs to be signed by the offline wallet. But do I have to sign received funds too? No You only have to sign when you are sending, not at the time of receiving. 5) Does the online wallet need to be online most times and would it generate all kind of constant internet traffic in the gigabytes per month? No it doesn't and it won't generate GB's worth of traffic.
6) in the future when I want to sell it, how do I transfer it back to the exchange site? Simply by signing a transaction from your offline wallet and broadcasting it from any blockchain explorer.
