You won't get a response instantly, be patient theymos is a busy person and has a life outside of the forum too. When my account got hacked it took a month to get it recovered, be patient and follow what hilariousetc has mentioned.

I'm a newbie in this bitcointalk forum and i had made this account two days ago. But, why my post being deleted by admin? Did i do something wrong? I have lost my activity because of that. And also my another account has been banned by admin and i can't get it anymore.

Most likely you have posted suspicious links in your signature or your posts which has caused the mods to delete your posts. Also opening multiple accounts isn't considered a good behavior.
1082  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: wallet on: October 26, 2017, 05:37:49 AM
What wallet do you find very safe and not easily hacked by others?
What wallet do you wear from the past until now?
thanks

Safety of your wallet is directly linked with how much information you have about malwares and viruses. I mainly recommend people to use electrum, it offers 2FA, its lightweight and be used almost anywhere. It has enough security measures to help you, but at the end it all comes down to your skills.

Get a separate small hard disk or a pc, get clean copies of electrum and linux, install linux on the offline pc, install electrum, generate a new seed, write it down on a paper, save a copy of it on an encrypted usb drive or two. Write down few of your receiving addresses and you are good to go.

When you need to send btcs somewhere, logon to your offline pc, generate a Raw Transaction, sign it, copy the text after signing it and broadcast it from different services like blockchain.info, this is the safest you can get imo.
1083  Other / Meta / Re: Profile url on: October 26, 2017, 05:25:16 AM
Just like choosewise said, you need to know your user ID to make the profile url. Here is the template for the profile link.

Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=userID

Just follow the instructions as provided by choosewise and you will get your userID and replace 'userID' in the template with your number. I have done it for you below.

Your Profile URL:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1173657

What don't make sense is the logic that comes out of the brain of those guys, but it didn't surprise me, there is nothing new...

...saying that he agrees with JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon's assessment that the cryptocurrency is a "fraud."...

that's what he said, what he is doing is buying bitcoin on the shadows like his friend JPMorgan did....good attempt, but nobody believe on those guys anymore, or at least should not....

Exactly, we should expect these kinds of statements from them, They are billionaires, they may have missed their bitcoin boat and now they are regretting it. That's what they want, spread Fear and uncertainty in the public which will reduce the bitcoin price and make it affordable for these folks, once again making them the new masters.

"It doesn't make sense. This thing is not regulated. It's not under control. It's not under the supervision [of] any federal – elect – United States Federal Reserve or any other central bank. I don't believe in this whole thing at all. I think it's going to implode."

And that ladies and gentlemen is the very reason why Bitcoin makes sense. It is precisely because it is not under any governmental agency that can easily do whatever it wants to do like printing more paper money to supposedly prop the economy while decreasing the future value of the fiat currency. It is not under the control of the government is the very reason why we have Bitcoin.

The guy was talking about Enron and its magnificent as well as unbelievable collapse many years ago. That company must be close to this guy's heart and mind because Enron was in the energy sector...most probably he has an investment in there and he lost much money that's why he purposely compare Bitcoin to Enron.

But there is just one question he should know: Was Enron not under the supervision of any government agency? Was Enron not a milking cow and its men became so corrupt?

It is absolutely because of these reasons that is why we have Bitcoin. Now, that is making sense.

You stole the words from my mouth. This is the exact reason why all the bankers and governments are scared of bitcoin, Right now bitcoin may be overvalued due to people jumping in just because of the price hype, but bitcoin has true potential, which will be realised one day or another by the masses. Its just a matter of time.
1088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: SSD update worth it? on: October 23, 2017, 10:48:21 AM
The only benefit you will get from ssd is higher transfer rates along with higher Reading rates, I don't see how an SSD will benefit you, unless you frequently look up transactions, addresses etc in blockhchain, other than that you shouldn't expect anything. But a SSD will surely boost up your booting and loading times. So if you want to game too, then yes a SSD is worth it.
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help recover stolen bitcoins?? How did it happen? on: October 23, 2017, 10:33:14 AM
You cant do much, unless you know how to monitor your outgoing traffic, there are many softwares which can help you with this. Lookout for strange ips your computer is trying to communicate with, You may get lucky and find your attackers ip, if they are not using any sorts of proxies or vpns. That's your only chance of finding out who was behind the attack. Other than that you can't do much sadly.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AI and blockchain emerging together on: October 21, 2017, 05:58:44 AM
Currently we have a lot of interesting new technologies evolving side by side. Two of them are AI and Blockchain. How do you see these two technologies merge in relevant use cases in the future?

Well a dataset which can't be manipulated to fit your opinion will do wonders for the world, we still have people who think earth is flat, imagine verifying every single step through block chain. There will be no more doubting science, things will become transparent in my opinion. Imagine an AI running on a block chain, its code can't be corrupted by a single evil person this will make public more comfortable imo. Every decision the AI takes can be recorded on to the blockchain etc the possibilities are endless with AI and blockchain working together.

What about the this then?

Sounds weird, man. If you want smth physical what about BTC credit card, like VISA or another?

BTC credit cards are like an instant exchanger, they convert your btcs to usd or whatever currency you are buying in. This isn't the true conversion of bitcoins to the physical world, what is the use of btcs then if we want to convert them in the end? I see no purpose of buying btcs then just to later convert them again. What can be done is, we can make some sort of credit cards which will transfer bitcoins between users instead of converting them.
1092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin in a World War scenario on: October 19, 2017, 12:33:40 PM
Well there is no one answer to this question, in case of a nuclear winter there will be no internet, no electricity, no law and order so in that case any currency will become useless, The chances of bitcoin becoming a safe haven in case of world war 3 are very slim. I don't see people residing to something virtual which will provide them zero value in the brave new world.

Really like the design of the website, its dead simple. Try to promote it around reddit and here and you will get many users in my opinion. I have bookmarked your website.

I have one question though, how does this work? What is the underlying technology and is it open source ?

I don't think so that there are open source scripts available for something like this, but this can be done quite easily. All Ethereum address start with specific characters so simple switch case can be used to determine the wallet and third party apis can be used to list the balances of the addresses.
Well the reason I am asking this is very simple. I want to make sure that there isn't some sort of data of mine being saved. In other words I don't want my search logs to be saved and linked to my ip address. This might sound weird but you can never be too careful. Nevertheless your site looks very clean and straightforward. Even on mobile!

Well that's why we have vpn's and browsers with features like "Do not track", the technologies are out their to help you with your privacy issues. Also its not weird i myself am very cautious with my privacy, so i can totally understand your concerns.

The most important question it is the safety of this service. How we could be confident that or private keys don't transfer to third party? Such services must have good trust background at least, but it is not fully gatantee that you will not scammed.

I think you don't quiet get what this service is offering, They don't ask for your private keys, its just a collection of different chain explorers which allow you to check your different addresses from one website.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert Shiller "Bitcoin a Fad" on: October 19, 2017, 09:15:29 AM
Agree and disagree. Agree on metals being a bit of a pain. In terms of the fad he's referring to, well it bitcoin faces similar challenges - widespread adoption of the masses, plus business' embracing it. Bitcoin has made a few inroads here, and is accepted in some places, but is still a long long way away from being a FIAT alternative. So I can see what he means. He also doesn't say that it's a bad investment and believes there's still money to be made - this is true, and it's not your usual FUD from the likes of Jamie Dimon.
The thing to bear in mind though, metals and the possession and use as a currency didn't work out that way, but it wasn't a risky move per se - precious metals have and maintain worth and value. They won't just disappear and be worthless.
Now, I'm not saying that bitcoin will do that, but it's not essential to day-to-day human life nor is it close to. The tech is amazing, the project is amazing, decentralised currency is an amazing concept....but it's still a work in progress. It's headed in the right direction, but it's not there yet.

Well i can partially agree with you there, Bitcoin still is in its "early adoption stage", people are trying their best to understand the concept behind it. Internet back then wasn't a sensation back then either, it took some time for people to realise its true potential. I believe blockchain technology will do the same thing. Just like BennyBeezy said, a Fad doesn't lasts for 10 years and it doesn't threatens the status quo to such an extent that the governments have to take counter measures in some cases to prevent its adoption.
1095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Robert Shiller "Bitcoin a Fad" on: October 19, 2017, 08:13:10 AM
So i read the article yesterday, He said that Bitcoin is a "Fad" and it will disappear just like bimetallism, well i disagree with him, Managing metals is and can be a pain in the a**, While bitcoin and other crypto-currencies don't carry that sort of burden. Why do people comment on things that they don't understand properly. Why has he made a comparison in 2 different things? plus why is that when bitcoin reaches new heights and somebody comes forward with FUD. Do let me know what you think of his comments.

1096  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Physical Bitcoin on: October 19, 2017, 07:50:14 AM
First of all, I don't know if this is possible by any one company or organization, and don't know about what the procedure will be to realize this as well.
But what do you think about the concept of physical bitcoin? I remember hearing a while back about someone who actually did created a few physical bitcoin. But what about in more public approach, I mean, especially for people who actually want to hold bitcoin for long.
I think they will solve the issues of lost bitcoins, as they will be present in physical form, so if someone loses the passwords, or even a mishap occurs to them, their family can use them.

What are your thoughts?

Bitcoin can't be magically brought into the physical world, all we can do is create a shape like coin and insert the wallet seed in it, or the private keys if it is linked with one address. The way bitcoin is designed it isn't meant to function while being in a physical state. I hope you understand the concept of bitcoin properly because what you are asking is not possible. Bitcoin casascius is one of the examples of what can be done to bring bitcoin to the physical world. Bringing bitcoin to physical realm is like converting your Ferrari to a Toyota and we don't want that happening.
1097  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cryptocurrency vs Subscription on: October 18, 2017, 07:16:29 AM
I don't understand why you need to complicate things, you can go with the subscription route, if your program is good enough you will get positive reviews by giving out some review copies. After that you can use a service like bitpay or any other system to get the payments in. So instead of launching another ico go with the subscriptions.

1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: People think that Bitcoin Cash can disappear? on: October 13, 2017, 04:46:42 AM
The way bitcoin is train is going it will be hard for bitcoin cash to stay above $300. I personally Believe that We won't see total disappearance of bitcoin cash, its just not possible unless all miners agree to abandon it and all users decide not to use it ever again, The chances of this happening are very slim. Bitcoin's fork will always have some value just because they have bitcoin attached to it. Many will use this name for scamming purposes especially in the developing countries, imagine scamming people by giving them bitcoin cash instead of bitcoins. This will always keep a market for Bitcoin forks imo.
1100  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: no seed and "invalid OTC" on: October 11, 2017, 06:05:41 AM
hi I'm new to bitcoins. I tried out several wallets. I also tried Electrum. But now I'm only capable to see my coins. When I want to send some I get 'invalid otp'. 'Seed' is grayed out because of the 2FA I think. How can I send my coins to another wallet?

If you have the original seed of the wallet then it is quite easy to recover your funds. Just goto 'File' > 'New/Restore' and restore the wallet via your seed and send your coins to your new wallet from there, It won't ask you about the 2FA anymore, but incase if you don't have the seed, then as HCP said your coins are lost
