We consider other sites that trade alt-coins as an advantage to everyone. Competition is good! The DDOS attacks seem to be more aimed at alt-coins than exchanges.

Very nice guys, keep it up 5%, thats kind of high, isn't it? POS is more so to increase security of the chain, than it is to produce profit....And, how much could someone make, trading Bottlecaps in those 30 days, rather than holding them, for 5%. 30 days, a smart trader could make a minimum of 400%+....And, lets say there's 10 million coins in existence, and everyone holds them for 30 days, that's a whole lotta coins, being added, at once... Don't get me wrong, I love CAPS, and I love fallout, I'm just not sure this is good for it in the long run
the 5% will work more like a motivation to hold some coins for securing the network and not for the actual profit, i think of it more like a personal bank, where the interest isnt much but it keeps your money secure. Its only 5% once the whole chain is mined has anyone really considered what happens to proof of work coins when the miners stop mining? Check out Chinacoin for a great example. There has to be an incentive to keep the blocks moving. I think some of the PoW coins will eventually have to pay folks to mine them just to keep the engine moving making them more centralized. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Thanks for update John. You and Vern are cool and helpful guys, but the thing is exhange is a unstable crap! And that argument "... We are growing fast every day" doesnt hold water because you should expand and prepare for incoming growth fast. And you should also fire the DDOS protection folks, they are doing shitty job about it! Shut the exchange down rewrite the engine from a scratch, if you dont know how give someone money to do that for you. It would pay off for you guys fast. Delays, Laggs, Bugs, Shutdowns, Logouts, 502 Errors, its getting on the peoples nervs..
All I can say is we do what we can to prevent attacks. Don't like your experience your welcome to trade your coins to numerous competitors though as anyone gains volume expect the same issues. What I can promise you is like every other attack that we have eventually thwarted in the past. This will be another vector lost to them once it is solved. DDOS's cost all of us money so it is in our interest to make sure you can get to yours. Some examples of other minor companies that have been DDOS'd. You can Google many more if you like. http://www.eweek.com/security/hsbc-latest-financial-company-hit-in-wave-of-ddos-attacks/http://www.esecurityplanet.com/network-security/nasdaq-bats-hit-by-ddos-attacks.html

Seems yet again we had an issue today though shorter than the previous one. We again had issues scaling to meet demand. Since Thursday we have added three servers to deal with various issues of rapid growth. The most recent was brought on yesterday. We had to make some adjustments to it today to compensate for even more growth. Though this is a good problem to have it sucks for all of us as it means we hit a few snags on the way. More customers means more volume for the traders and more income to well add more servers to compensate for the continued 10% growth.
Is it frustrating yes to both us and the traders we support absolutely its lost opportunity for all of us. Sure you could trade elsewhere but most likely they would also run into the rapid growth and have the same issue we are working through. We are not the only exchange dealing with higher and higher volumes having issues with scaling it took some pretty big ones months to sort out. We are doing our best to keep up in days. So we apologize for your down time and we will continue trying to keep ahead of the customer growth.
So thanks again for sticking with cryptsy.com and we look forward to serving you for years to come.

What's going on? I canceled my XPM sell orders but I haven't been refunded?
Your balances will all update when the issue is resolved. And while you do that, I'm continuing to lose money. I agree we are all losing money that is most likely the goal of any attack.

Nope no new coin but BigVern is on the case. We have many admirers out there who love to take breaks from trading apparently.

Nope bounties don't really do much to affect a coins ranking on the list. We are more interested in volume and what we anticipate volume will be on a coin. Health of a coins hashrate. We love innovation gets a high ranking with that. Many factors most are looked at from a whats in demand perspective.

Ok but your computer connects to the internet and you use email both possible vectors to your otherwise secluded lifestyle. But lets go further what exchanges do you use ask them the same question I gave in my first post. Some of them don't even use SSL Again your issue is still being looked at and this would be a way more productive conversation than putting your username in a public forum. Not really the place to give you the best support and I am hoping to find that your issue can be easily solved.
