1401  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Qatar Footballl World Cup - People decided not to watch on: December 20, 2022, 09:08:31 AM
Well, now that the world cup has ended is there going to be an improvement in workers conditions?
What I mean is that, since some of the stadiums will be dismantled will the condition of the workers who will be involved improved?
The best thing I would say right now is that people who go there to accept work under such terrible conditions should just stop because there is no end in sight for such terrible working conditions.

1402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Finally got my boss to pay me in Bitcoin on: December 20, 2022, 08:54:17 AM
OP, did you get your whole income in bitcoin?
If you ask me, I will say that it is risky. What is advisable even by most bitcoin experts especially when it comes to the economics is that only a certain percentage of your pay should be received in Bitcoin while others should be in your local fiat.
To execute this, your organization should consider using Bitwage - They services is like pay deduction. Such like a split paycheck. They send a percentage or fixed amount from your paycheck every month to a specific bank account using a specific ACH transaction.
On the other end, Bitwage will immediately convert it to bitcoin and deposit to into a bitcoin address. You can read more about them here - https://www.bitwage.com/.

If you'd like to learn more, here's a link to our website: www.marketspaace.com (By the way, our site & socials will have a lot of updates in the coming weeks)

I just checked out the website and I can say there are really cool interesting items you have there. It's been almost 4 months since you made this post, just want to ask how is the project so far?
I hope you are getting unique visitors.
Well to answer your question, I buy most electronics and electrical appliances with bitcoins. In my country, there's no option yet to pay real estate with bitcoin unless the person is your friend.
1405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or altcoin? on: December 19, 2022, 01:45:10 PM
Leaving sentiments asides, will you advise someone to still buy some Bitcoins (Not up to the value of 1)  if they have an amount of money that will be okay to purchase the equivalent of 1 of a good altcoin with a strong community? Is having some bitcoins (in decimals) more valuable still than having the value of one good altcoin?
I liked altcoins when I first got into crypto, but I learned a terrible lesson.
If you have to buy that new hyped hot coin that will change the future, do a little water testing on the side and put a tiny piece of your portfolio in it but don’t sell bitcoin. Above all bitcoin remains the king.
The goal isn't 1 BTC. The goal is consistent investment over a long period of time because small Satoshi on has accumulated now will in the future turn many into millionaires.

Just before he was scheduled to testify before Congress. I'm hoping they find a way to bring him before Congress.
There are far too many people in Washington, D.C., who are connected to him—I'm talking about well-known politicians. He should be taken to jail. He ruined the lives of countless people.
1407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Embarrassing First Bitcoin Lecture Attempt with my Colleagues on: December 19, 2022, 11:55:19 AM
Do not be too hard on yourself. Most people mess up on their first public talk. So, breath in and relax. I have had my own fair share of the embarrassing public speaking. My suggestion, Watch some Toastmasters speeches on YouTube.  It would give you some great ideas. Goodluck
1408  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you Smoke? on: December 19, 2022, 11:47:43 AM
What do you think are the long term consequences of smoking Cigg or Weed.

Other than cancer.
A simple answer to this question is what I found on reddit. It goes thus, "Cigarettes don't expire, but the person smoking them does."
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 18, 2022, 05:17:31 PM
Wow, that is a very extraordinary achievement that was made by Mbappe as a young player and moreover if France can win the World Cup this time then Mbappe is a complete young player.
I didn't think France could score a quick goal like that, but I think the blame lies with Argentina replacing Di Maria which made Argentina's gameplay more defensive. Even if Di Maria is still playing, then I'm sure Argentina can maintain the victory it has earned at half time.
First half and mostly in second half Argentina dominated the game.
France barely had a hold on the ball in the Argentina 18-yard box. Thanks to the penalty that gave them the need drive. Nobody expected that equalizer so soon. Mbappe once again proved himself. For now, let us ignore some of the irregularities from the ref.
The game is most likely to end in a penalty shootout.
1410  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 18, 2022, 05:10:43 PM
Here are a couple of things I do to really save one third what I earn monthly
1. I cancelled my gym membership and I now work out at home and as for a personal trainer.
2.I plan my meals ahead of time. So, know what I am eating day to day and week to week and so on.
3.I ensure that my pantry and freezer are properly stocked.
4. I practice buying things in bulk.
5. I cut down on eating out.
1411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Friends and Family members want me to invest for them, help! on: December 18, 2022, 04:47:10 PM
My story is that I really didn't get friends who wanted me to help them invest.
My friends already had a small knowledge about bitcoin. I was the only one who was courageous enough to get it.
For a while, some would call me in the dips, thinking that I would be panicked and were surprised when I told them I was still buying. A few got in and most still haven't.
I got me mum in at around $7k. She's hodling and doing quite well.
Admittedly, I was reluctant at first to let her in. I wish I had put gotten her in very early, but I assume that almost every hodler feels that way.
1412  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This is the way a "bank loan" REALLY works. on: December 18, 2022, 04:24:40 PM
And that is why banks hate bitcoin.

Because if everyone transacts with it, nobody will take fiat loans from the bank, so the bank will have no more "deposits" to lend, no interest to collect and their revenue would go to zero.
Many countries, not just banks, despise bitcoin.
Can you imagine, for example, how bad it would be for America if many countries abruptly ceased to accept the USD or declared that it was worth 70% less than it had been a month earlier? We are aware that the outcome would be a complete and total collapse of the American economy.
And without any other options available to America, this could result in a significant increase in prices everywhere.
1413  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is now 8 billion. on: December 18, 2022, 04:08:53 PM
That is the current worldwide reality that our planet is dealing with.
Our leaders need to ensure sustainability in efforts to provide food and water as well as health care, especially for the elderly. Humanity multiplies algebraically over comparatively short times, as seen by fertility rates. On the other side, mortality rates are quite low despite a recent epidemic.
It is undeniable that people today live far longer than they did 100 years ago. In this regard, the phenomena of people living to 100 or older may be on the rise.
1414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your money off exchange, in this crisis moments hold Bitcoin for safety on: December 18, 2022, 04:02:03 PM
This has is the warning that has been ongoing lately, however, I still keep some of my cryptocurrency in my Binance wallet.
I am aware of the risk, yet I find it quite convenient for me. However, lately I have been very scared, I heard what we know as FUD today but was told Binance being next to crash.
Right now, I am still debating about sending a stable coin onto my Trezor.
1415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Borrowing money to invest in BTC ( My own past experience) on: December 18, 2022, 03:42:13 PM
Borrowing money to invest in bitcoin is called leverage. Now we know what happens to those who are overleverage especially in a market crash.
The OP is lucky because they invested at a time where all things were good. SO the leverage was an advantage to them.
I barely see anyone in 2022 who took out a loan from a bank or friend celebrate being able to 2x the money in bitcoin.
1416  Other / Off-topic / Re: Suggest you favourite anime on: December 18, 2022, 03:25:35 PM
My suggestion is that you should see Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood.  Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood is really one of a kind, there's just something about it, I can rewatch it time and time again and still find it very entertaining. It has something for everyone, loveable cast, dark and mature concepts, humour and lightheartedness, wholesome romance, crazy intense fight scenes, an incredible magic system, military corruption and so much more.
1417  Other / Off-topic / Re: Offline games on: December 18, 2022, 03:15:57 PM

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Elden Ring and Red Dead Redemption2

1418  Other / Off-topic / Re: Believe in yourself on: December 18, 2022, 03:10:38 PM
Without self-belief one can hardly thrive.
One of the ways to build self-belief which I know personally is through affirmations.
Affirmations like " Even though I know it is tough, I am going to keep trying"
1419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: December 16, 2022, 03:29:57 PM
Do you think countries worldwide will ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? If not, why? If mining is banned, do you think Bitcoin will switch to PoS? Will it still survive being a PoW cryptocurrency? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
There is no denying that mining bitcoins uses a lot of electricity. Adoption may be impacted by this. Building a system within Bitcoin that enables using a portion of transaction costs as a tax to fund renewable energy projects is one potential approach.
You can contribute 5% of your transaction charge to renewable energy if you are willing to pay outrageous rates for your transaction.
1420  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: December 16, 2022, 03:14:28 PM
How long do you think it will take for paper money to be phased out for good? Will CBDCs be able to replace not only paper money but also credit/debit cards? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
CBDCs will not replace paper money anytime soon. Infact, it would take a millennium for that to happen.
Credit/debit cards will in the future may not be cards but something else. However, they will still maintain their functions.

Any day paper money is phased out then my guess is that the paper may become as valuable as gold. In addition, I do not think the world is as advanced yet for that. Until we are able to solve the energy and climate crisis paper money is going no where.
