Thank you also for giving me back everything I deposited with 120% interest including my last two deposit of 0.499 BTC that I sent, knowing the game was about to die. I can't believe I've been paid for the last deposits. I could loose it, I wouldn't be complaining. I knew what I was playing.
That was a great experiment. If I could play it again, I would be careful to not send too much money and most of all I would not try to get innocent people to play it.

Sounds like a made-up story. What kind of criminal would be that stupid to tell you the purpose of the bitcoin purchase? And who would be that stupid to believe such a claim and still sell coin to them? It was a set up and that was their sting. They just got greedy. Most of the crimes are committed by people getting to greedy for their own safety and forgetting about laws for some quick $$$. And as many people already said it , criminals are not always the smartest people in the world. Sometimes criminals are the smartest people. Just those ones don't get caught. Those are not criminals. Cause , it's innocent before proven guilty right? And with them not being caught yet...=)))))) |

This coin is one of the biggest failures I have ever seen.
With 2-3 coins failing per day , I think there was at least one bigger than this or at least there would be one in the near future. |

As a buyer you still have the sellers Feedback score to go on with the Classified ads though - that has to be a big bonus.
It's not really the buyers that need to be worried but the sellers. Buyers should still be covered by paypal if anything goes wrong. Yes - I see what you mean h. Maybe check the buyers feedback prior to release of BTC - and don't accept paypal. Sellers being ripped off still happens for eg on Localbitcoins - recently a seller told me they had lost £1300 thru buyers that were using someone elses bank account.I don't understand why did they lose anything . Wires are almost impossible to be cancelled. |

Your graph shows an inflation rate of 3.4% per year for Rentals over a 24 year span, and appears to have no correction for the changing size of houses which have more then doubled since the 50's, we would expect rentals to have grown proportionally and thus we can easily explain a full percentage point or more that way leaving us again with the 2.5% official number passing the sanity check.

yeah silk road is probably the reason why most people even got their bitcoins in the first place. haha I wouldn't say "most". Lots of people did actually mine coins! But yes, a "certain proportion" of early adopters have provably gotten their coins from Silk Road. I think it was about half I really doubt it. I would say far less. There were other ways to spend your bitcoins (sd) and also lots of people used it for vpns and other www services. And some never used their bitcoin on anything just stored them and waited. If the fbi got their hands on all the activity on SR , if they decide to make some numbers public they will finally shed some light into it. But to many ifs. |
