1421  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Two important lesson I learn from this forum this year 2022 on: December 16, 2022, 01:44:06 PM
As 2022 is almost coming to an end and haven't been around this forum for a couple of months now, I have learn two vital lessons this year that will guide my journey in the cryptocurrency space.
THE TWO LESSONS
1: I will never trust an exchange, most especially centralized exchanges e.g FTX Binance, etc.
As with most persons who are up to date with the current happenings in the crypto economy, I concur that never trustung any centralized exchange should be one of the key takeaways for this year.

CZ is cursing Kelvin O' Leary, FTX boss has been arrested, everyone everywhere is saying withdraw your coins from centralized exchange. And this has been going on since the past couple of months. Even the blind can read the handwriting on the wall.
1422  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be patient, don't get discouraged. on: December 16, 2022, 01:38:12 PM
The golden rule is to have patient. Anything that would be worth it requires a lot of patient.
Infact I would choose patient over speed. The most important thing in this forum is to research and share useful knowledge that would contribute to the positive growth of the forum and its members.

In the long run you will increase in rank and be appreciated for your efforts if you stay consistent.
1423  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you save your money? on: December 16, 2022, 01:31:46 PM
Nah, not everyone has the luxury to buy gold. Not everyone is interested in buying gold.
Besides the way you have painted it here is not how it seems in really. For some persons they can only keep save their money in the bank.
Some younger persons would prefer to save their money in cryptocurrency.
And some of the other folks may prefer stocks, bonds or buying properties. There is no one size fits all here. For me I save my money in the bank and in cryptocurrency. Whatever medium one chooses, just be a smart saver.
1424  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should I invest? on: December 13, 2022, 09:33:08 PM
Buy Bitcoin. Transfer it from an exchange to a cold wallet and leave it there. If you are interested in trading leave only a very little amount in the exchange. The one you can afford to lose. Binance is best but never put your trust in any centralized exchanged. Keep up with the news, it changes so fast that you may not even know. After you have bought bitcoin, never discussed how much you have invested in it with anyone. Always keep it vague. I know you asked where you should invest, I thought I should add more.
1425  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: December 13, 2022, 09:25:50 PM
Being an employee works best for me. I am the type of person who even though I like to lead I do not see myself being in charge of a whole organization. It is a lot of responsibility that I do not think I can handle. In the past I have attempted to start up a business not because I wanted to but out of peer pressure. So, a lot of my friends we're starting of their companies, and I felt left out. I decided I was going to start up something even if I didn't have any interest in it, I did it it was good at first but then came the challenges here and there I couldn't cope anymore revenues are not coming in I had to pack up and go back to working as an employee for an organization. Right now, I've been promoted and I'm doing well. So, my personality type is not business inclined.
1426  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: December 13, 2022, 09:08:58 PM
Congratulations you have been able to save up some money as a freelancer. Trust me this is no easy feat. Now go to your question, I would say it shouldn't be one or the other, but it should be one and the other. What do I mean? You should both invest in a business that you have adequate knowledge of and also invest in cryptocurrency particularly Bitcoin. Just us you will do your due diligence when investing in a new business venture so you should also do your due diligence when investing in Bitcoin. Like they would always say do your own research.
1427  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to study well English grammar? on: December 13, 2022, 09:03:29 PM
And, what is your advice?
The very best way I learnt English grammar is watching a lot of American TV shows, soap operas, and listening to English news. I was so interested in the Ellen DeGeneres show that I started to pick up on English grammar mostly from watching her shows. It was hard at first to follow but as I watched more episodes of her show I started to catch on very very slowly. Although I am not perfect yet but I am better than when I started the journey to learning English grammar language.
1428  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad advice can still be gotten from forum. on: December 13, 2022, 08:58:45 PM
There are several ways I used to vet if a comment, opinion or advice is either right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable. Keeping in my that the term "good", "bad" is subjective. And your acceptance of it may be predicated on your past experiences, and beliefs.

The way to vet some advice for goodness in this forum is to review the history of the user and check for consistency in the pattern of comment or advice given. I also check for the engagement pattern of the user. This would show me the level of depth, and knowledge the user has on the subject.
1429  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would Twitter go after its takeover by Elon Musk ? on: December 13, 2022, 08:54:18 PM
Elon Musk acquired Twitter about two weeks agao and Twitter has been All the news everywhere. His bold moves of firing a big portion of staff, changing major Twitter features and making more modifications are spurring waves of controversy. His supporters and adversaries are quite in fights. Where will Elon Musk lead Twitter ? Is Twitter heading to a wrong direction ?
Nobody can say whether Twitter is heading in the right direction or not we all just have to be patient and observe. So far, we have seen that since Elon Musk took over Twitter it has not been an easy ride. A lot of employees were fired well while some quit. There was also you off the blue marks subscription and verifying information on Twitter. Lately I have seen tweets from alone, sing that the engagement on Twitter has been at an all-time high. I believe that sooner or later Elon would make Twitter better than it has ever been.
1430  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The effect of drugs abuse on youths on: December 13, 2022, 08:47:28 PM
What can the government, communities and parents do to cure this situation .
Drug abuse among the youth is or should be a public health concern. There is a role for the government, communities, and even families can play in Curbing this addiction. I will focus on the role off parents. Parents should start on time to talk to their kids about the dangers of getting addicted to drugs. As a matter of fact, they should take their kids to rehabilitation centres for them to see the effect of drug abuse on a person. By so doing their kids would have gotten a real-life practical example of the dangers of getting addicted to drugs.
1431  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you handle pain? on: December 13, 2022, 08:36:45 PM
Pain, no matter the type is not what I would wish for my worst enemy. I mean not fully understand the degree to which you feel this pain, but I've read storage of people who suffer from chronic pain. I to myself have experienced some sort of acute pain which usually goes away after a couple of days. Right now, I can only speak about the acute pain I have felt in the past and what I did to ease the pain.

Sometime in the past I used to have terrible headaches. I didn't know why but after some introspection I came to the conclusion that it was as a result of lifestyle changes. For example, I stayed too long at my computer screen, I barely got up to 5 hours of rest, I was drinking so much alcohol and less water and a whole lot of other things I didn't take fruit I ate more of junks. To ease the pain, I scheduled a regular time for going to bed, I've started taking more fruit instead of alcohol, I bought a blue screen for my laptop and tried to spend less time staring at the computer screen. I mean I only used it if I wanted to do an important work. Within a couple of days, the headache subsided, and I felt better.
1432  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: December 10, 2022, 11:02:01 AM
The tips given by th Op I agree with them.I would like to add that - Do not gamble with money you cannot afford to lose. Don't purchase items you don't enjoy. You can't buy health, so don't buy things that will ruin it. Avoid making investments in something you don't fully grasp. It is advised to invest in a field you are knowledgeable about, and lastly, exercise caution when lending money to friends and family.
1433  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Indonesian ban on sex outside marriage affect businesses adversely? on: December 10, 2022, 10:36:40 AM
What are your thoughts?

On the one hand, unless individuals are outside or residing together, it will be very difficult to execute the legislation. However, because there are differences between people around the world, I do not believe that a law prohibiting premarital sex will have a negative impact on their tourism businesses adversely. Family-oriented people will still go on honeymoons, anniversaries, or family vacations. Every situation has both a good and bad aspect.
1434  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people withdraw their generosity during crisis? on: December 10, 2022, 10:26:33 AM
It is in times of chaos and crisis that you know who your real friends and family are. Anyone can support and love you when the going is good  becasue they know they stand to benefit from it. Nobody wants to associate with someone in times of hardship and tough times. Sadly, such is life and since i experienced it first hand I made up my mind to have no expectations of anybody. I also made up my mind to not trust people becasue i can really tell people's true intention when they offer to help you.
1435  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people cheat in relationships?? on: December 10, 2022, 10:04:25 AM
It's crucial to realize that there is still a potential that the person you select to be in a relationship with would act foolishly. All parties to the relationship, whether mono or poly, are free to choose whether to continue working on it or call it quits. Remember that someone you meet in the future might have cheated in a previous relationship, and you'll need to assess whether or not they have improved enough to merit your trust.
1436  Other / Off-topic / Re: lending money to people. on: December 10, 2022, 10:00:39 AM
Never give out big loans. Any sum of money you lend to a buddy needs to be one you're willing to lose if they choose not to repay you. If they don't, at least you'll know they aren't really your buddy, and you won't waste any more time or money on them by continuing the association. Friendships have broken apart frequently for money. People have come to me with harrowing tales, saying things like, "The kids need food, I need petrol, and I'll pay you back as soon as I am paid." If they are struggling financially right now, they will probably continue to struggle even after they receive
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 08, 2022, 05:45:39 PM
Juventus have a great chance to catch Napoli, because they have full concentration on Serie-A, while Ac Milan and Napoli are still playing in the Champions League, so their concentration must be divided in the two competencies they face going forward.
Juventus is in crisis currently because they are doing a total overhauling of the executive due to mismanagement. The resultant effect of this is that it will affect the team's performance in the pitch in the long run. To add to this, they have problems on the pitch with bad performance and some players not happy with the manger's tactics. With these they do not even stand a chance to go head-to-head with a more organized Napoli team that is built for the title.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 08, 2022, 05:38:07 PM
Benzema still have the strength to perform better than the beginning of this tournament, despite the injury he went for which he is finally well to join their players after the holiday, so that people will stop panicking that he cannot perform well again. I guess, Real Madrid will win this trophy again in this season if they will not make mistakes to release Benzema to other teams by January, because he has a lot of things to help the team to achieve before he leave the team so that his name will be written in golden pen.
This season UEFA's champion leauge will be tough for Real Madrid because a lot of teams are well prepared to fight Real Madrid for the title this season. Teams like PSG, Napoli, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City have the qualities to compete and even beat Real Madrid for the title this season. My opinion is that I am tipping PSG for the tittle.
1439  Economy / Economics / Re: Corrupt people in crypto on: December 08, 2022, 05:32:26 PM
When someone researches the people behind all of those crypto apps, they will see those companies are as crooked as the big banks trying to influence politics with their money. Sam is a typical example. News sources say he gave many millions to US Democrats and a few thousand secretly to US Republicans, but because he believed in climate change it was as almost swept under the carpet.
1440  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: December 08, 2022, 05:16:28 PM
Everyone will not be the same in carrying out their lives in this world even though they live in the same country, because those of you who can save costs like that don't necessarily mean that other people can do it because everyone has different jobs with different levels of needs. So that kind of thing maybe only you can do, but not necessarily can be done by other people. So that everyone's way of saving will look different in the community environment.
Why is inflation rising everywhere in the world? due to the global nature of the pandemic, the shipping crisis, and the global failure of the crops. Whoever wants to pay attention to these needs to quit depending on the government and start saving all of their money, in my opinion. If you truly want financial freedom, consider making a few investments.
