I think there was a difficulty drop...

I really like this coin because it is as fast as Zetacoin.... I wish the OP had given it a small edge over Zeta in confirmation speed.

I like speed, this along with zeta are good to use for online transactions...

How safe would it be if only 1 confirmation was used for IRL purchases? What would the chance of a double spend be?
Third parties can always jump at the risk for a small fee anyway....
1442  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: September 07, 2013, 10:43:38 PM
You can all close down BFL if you want to, I already got my 30 GH/s original little single

IOW, "Fuck you. I got mine."

Don't feel too bad, my LS is currently making around 0.06BTC per day right now and dropping rapidly.  By October's end this thing will be mining dust.  I've had it running 3 weeks at a cost of 50+BTC and 13 months wait.  I'll NEVER see the 50+BTC I originally paid.

I feel sorry for you even if you got you miner. If BFL had any honesty or integrity like Bitfury vendors the would have delivered as promised in October 2012  and the bitcoin industry or landscape would be totally different now.

All the BS BFL have been serving us is quite obviously real BULLSHIT because it doesn't take rocket science to deliver an ASIC product. Just look at BITFURY.

We have all had the long CON played on us by these scammers.

I'm happy I have something to mine with....
I'm in Florida, electricity is truly cheap.
1443  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you live in the US, in which state do you live? Poll. on: September 07, 2013, 10:30:55 PM
I will decide as I have my visa for USA

Whatever you do, don't move to Kansas! I heard it sucks!

Florida is cheap but filled with old people and mysterious crimes + no mountains + monstrous weather disasters pending..

If you're young like me you'd love something like New York or San Francisco....

thanks for tips now I will be there San Francisco I heard too much about this

Don't forget to also do your own research!

I just updated!

I want to find a superblock, I'll stay here until I find one and I'll post it... (I'll be very proud)
1446  Other / Politics & Society / Re: PRISM - Who else is disgusted by this? on: September 07, 2013, 07:44:51 PM
A conversation needs to begin to switch ourselves from using corporations that are in bed with the NSA (Facebook, Google, Skype, Microsoft) and replace as many of their services as possible (e-mail, social outlets, video/photo/sound sharing sites, financial sites, authentication) as possible.

All the developments in P2P, routing and cryptography must be utilized.

We also need alternative networks, whether that is long range radios, information transmitting lasers or trained pigeons with encrypted flash drives.

Let's make our communications (or part of them) not easy to be spied upon on any scale.

Bitcoin is just the tip of the iceberg....

Also speak against the NSA's plans and their ideology. If you get enough people on our side, those clowns will be shown as what they really are...

This is an awesome video (recent) of one of my favorite people on YouTube about the NSA:

1447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When Will The Economy Collapse? on: September 07, 2013, 06:39:55 PM
I've run across his videos and I like them....

I have to say that many of the things he talks about seem true

I need to further investigate him until I can trust him though.

Let's hope that there is no WWIII and no global economic collapse (although I come from a country that has already collapsed (Greece))

What bugs me the most is all the militarization of the police force in the United States and all the goverment spying programs. They disgust me.
1448  Other / Meta / Re: "Reputation" - how many activity? on: September 07, 2013, 06:23:36 PM
Does trust take some time to be added?

I did a transaction in which I took the risk, I rated the other user but I'm not sure the user rated me...

At some point I did see that he had rated me but my trust is still 0!
1449  Other / Meta / Re: 360 Second Post Limit on: September 07, 2013, 06:21:24 PM
I'm having trouble getting to 3 coins (to full member)

Is there a limit on the amount of activity you get per 2 week period?
1450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Pools up - Quick confirmations on: September 07, 2013, 06:11:11 PM
I've started Zetacoin block explorer:

Nice! I'll try to use it to view Transaction IDs!
1451  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Amagi Metals - Best Prices of Gold & Silver for Bitcoins on: September 07, 2013, 06:03:46 PM
Is there a plan to sell 1 gram gold items?

I may buy something if it is that small.
I prefer silver usually and I find the 1 gram silver bar very appealing.
1452  Economy / Economics / Re: [CHART] Bitcoin Inflation vs. Time on: September 07, 2013, 05:55:39 PM
I agree, the drop at the end of 2013 looks frighteningly fast. I'd like to learn more about when this big change will occur. Thanks to the OP for sharing these charts.
The big drop was at the beginning of 2013, and it actually occurred a few months ahead of schedule. It was when the block subsidy dropped from 50 BTC to 25 BTC.

Right after the reward drops from 25 to 12.5 the price movement will most definitely be felt....

Any such events will have an impact on the currency.... The next 2 ones will be the remaining biggest halving events....

After that halving isn't really going to affect the market in any serious way since most BTC will be out there trading instead of waiting to be mined!

Is there a clock to the next halving set up already?
1453  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bit Funder] [btcquick] [Rising profits] on: September 07, 2013, 05:49:53 PM
Even though I only hold 300 or so out of the 5 million shares I'm happy about getting in that stock...

I'm guessing the company is doing pretty well!
1454  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: CoinFest! on: September 07, 2013, 04:53:41 PM
I wish I lived there!

Why do I have to live in Tarpon Springs where bitcoin is not accepted anywhere?

I was only delayed for like 10 months.... Totally reasonable,

When I buy ice cream that is how long I wait (FACT).

The delays screwed us all, but at least the BTC price is super high thanks to the crisis that happened with the banks in cyprus and the whole big bubble incident...

If the prices had stayed at 200 USD levels far less BFL customers would be complaining right now!

1457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: coinabul.com issues on: September 07, 2013, 03:22:52 PM
I never ordered... Now I feel lucky!

The best place to buy cheap silver in small quantities is silvertowne...
Some of their designs suck but I have received everything in time...

Maybe we should ask them to accept BTC!

I'd like to hear from more people about issues they had with coinabul, is there another more popular thread I'm not aware of?
1458  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Transparent Tor Wifi Routers on: September 07, 2013, 03:17:41 PM
How much BTC for one of these babies?

Where does it ship from?

The link says "service not available"!
1459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tigercoin - TGC | New SHA256 Coin with Super Random Blocks | Launched! on: September 07, 2013, 03:12:08 PM
Has anyone had a super block yet? I'm sitting on 7.4% of the blocks found and have not hit any yet.

24 blocks so far and no super block but the chance are 1/80 so nothing abnormal for me !

I'm sitting on more than 80 blocks but I haven't yet hit a superblock...

Has anyone hit one yet?
1460  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trojan Wallet stealer be careful on: September 07, 2013, 03:09:23 PM
There is a (new?) trojan wallet stealer out in the wild ATM.

Plenty of script kiddies and scammers are going to be trying to get you to download and install it, what's more they'll be putting posts to do so (using lies obviously).

Don't install anything linked to on this forum, unless it's been found by someone with a good reputation to be legit. Assume everything is an attempt to steal your wallet.

You should also encrypt your wallet when not in use.
http://www.freeotfe.org/

Here is a portable apps version http://www.freeotfe.org/downloads/FreeOTFEExplorer_3_51.paf.exe

You have been warned.

Nefario

I don't get it why just encrypting my wallet is not enough?

Anyway never store unencrypted versions of your wallet...
It would be the same as storing an unencrypted video of you having sex with your girlfriend and an encrypted one at the same place!

I don't trust any of your links due to you being scammer tagged....
