1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum now looks like a complete joke on: January 13, 2021, 01:10:27 PM
It doesn't look like altcoins will pump hard this time around, it's still shocking that many ERC20 tokens under Ethereum are not really appreciating in value even when Ethereum reached 1200$, I have nothing to say than to ask what the heck is going on.

Another issue is the insane gas fee of ethereum, I have been holding ERC20 tokens the most and to even sell right now is killing me inside because it costs over 10$ to move my ERC20 tokens to exchange, I might just have to give up on this heartbreaking Ethereum blockchain

Well apparently only eth was able to shine with btc, completely took the spotlight and left most of the erc20 tokens behind, just completely shows how vulnerable most of this erc20 tokens are,
instead moving along side eth most of them where either stagnant or decrease in value, too bad alts were not able to perform as expected (well maybe not yet), anyways, too early to tell.
1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Issue withdrawing from Metamask on: January 12, 2021, 10:18:48 AM
I'm also experiencing it lately grey button and not blue when I was trying to withdraw, I began to hit Ethereum because I felt I was robbed by the fees that they want and the gas limit is too high imagine 330000, for me that was a form of corruption when you can do an Eth transaction the gas limit is only 21000 but on Metamask it was 333000 disgusting BSC and Tron is far better compared to this slowly turning to be greedy Ethereum network.

Lol! corruption it is indeed, the other day i paid $12 fee to send some tokens to the exchange, also the weight of the tokens contribute to the fee it seems, the more the tokens the higher the fees, i never thought i will ever pay so much high fees, i don't know when exactly the fees will reduce down to the way it use to be,
@op need to keep increasing the fee or he should add more eth gas on his metamask wallet in other to keep increasing the fees, it is quite an unfortunate situation.
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What triggers altcoin season??? on: January 12, 2021, 09:54:54 AM
People believe that after the btc price run comes to an end investors will switch to alts and this will trigger the alts season (but) from what i experience in the previous bull run... i.e 2017, btc was the initiator of the bull run, at least this is how i see it, once btc start the price movement soon after the altscoins will follow, but from this recent one things seem a bit different,
i doubt there is a right explanation to it except just assumptions and speculations.
1464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETN pump incoming.. #CryptoOnTV..your welcome on: January 09, 2021, 08:13:54 AM
@op where is the confirmation that the money raised during the ico has not been spent at all and they are sitting somewhere! If they have been on development only, how do you develop a project without making any expenses?
I take it this is your personal assumption and not officially written but if it happens to be true, then am willing to jump on board again,  sold my etn long ago when nothing meaningful was forthcoming.  Thank you for the tip Wink
1465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will AVAX unseat ETH? DOT is 3 Ranks away...but AVAX is said to blow DOT away!! on: January 09, 2021, 04:24:09 AM
Actually am really looking forward to see that project (Dot, Avax or any other) that will unseat eth, this had been discuss extensively and none has yet to be able to do it,  so this should be done per to per with eth or even as a result of more better features ( the way u see it, any project aspiring to unseat eth should do so in every aspect, not just on cmc rank wise) that is when it will be well justified.
I guess the floor is open for the battle of dethroning the King of alts  Smiley
1466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Livecoin.net is down? on: January 08, 2021, 08:42:41 AM
It's gone forever and what already mentioned on the livecoin's temporary domain was fake and it can't be trusted. the team has gone with the money. There's no latest information about what's happening with livecoin.
They are not even updating it.
There are some investors who have been creating the petition and these people will take legal action against livecoin team who has been running away with the money.
That doesn't make sense to see the hacker was taking over the server that used by livecoin lol.

This is surprising to hear!, although there were talks already about livecoin exchange not being a trusted exchange, i guess with this their latest action just prove what has been said already about them by many people,
what would happen to the people who have assets in the exchange and was not able to withdraw before this stunt the y pull! the investors are right to follow up with a legal action, they should be brought to justice for their actions.
1467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Another scam bounty campain Yearn.Global on: January 08, 2021, 08:23:54 AM

The project bounty manager should have at least checked the background of the campaign first. Isn't downpayment for the bounty manager possible? That should make the scam project move away from the bounty manager.

It is not as easy as you think, i believe no bm would deliberately want to promote a project of scammers, the bm must have done the normal background checking no doubt and the team appears to be trusted only to later discover they are not,
when things like this happen, the first thing many will assume is the bm did not do a proper check but we shouldn't forget that a project can turned scam or rug pull when you list expect, no project will agree to be scammers until they turned out to be one.
1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much are XRP owners paying people to shill for XRP here? on: January 07, 2021, 07:43:10 AM
I see alot of posts about XRP here lately it seems to get bumped alot by the same people. The owners of XRP were found selling $100s of millions (OF US DOLLARS) of XRP are they paying people to shill for xrp here?

You could have bought Nano a few days ago at $1 for your worthless XRP and gained 400%.

Let me ask a question would you rather own 1 ETH or 400 nano? Or 5000 XRP?

Note that two of them are already at a very high market cap meaning alot of real life millionaires and even billionaires are invested in them and they will all sell before you.

So if you go into something smaller as NANO or something really small as BANANO (a nano fork) you can easily get x100 or even x1000 in the bullmarket, while for eth or ripple if they dont get shut down for insider trading fraud you maybe get x10. You do not have an upside, a possibility or a future in eth or xrp. We need small projects where alot of US are invested BEFORE the large wall street guys.

You creating this topic can also be consider as a paid shiller, because i can see you not only talked about xrp but also talking about other project as well, could it be you are also indirectly or directly shilling!
everyone is free to talk about what they want to, not necessarily mean they have been paid to do so, besides xrp has an open issue with the law so it is very natural to see people talking about it, many are concerned with the situation and what will become of the project.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Do Some People Still Ask For The Best altcoins? on: January 07, 2021, 02:58:45 AM
I'm still confused by the people who always ask the best altcoins even though we can all see if ethereum is still in second place. Are they all still not aware that number two is the best in altcoins because the first position is bitcoin

Everyone have different criteria for measuring best, to you eth might seem best because it is the second popular after btc, the price is high,  but to others,  other factors could the reason for them not to see it that way, different stroke for different folks,
Eth should be able to address some of the technical issues and most especially find a way of reducing tran fee to lowest, eth is popular with good track record but does that make it best alts!
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which project should I invest in? on: January 06, 2021, 09:02:51 AM
Depending where your interest lies, the time frame and your experience although to invest you really don't need more than the basic knowledge to invest, i would have suggested btc and eth but as we can already seen btc and eth are surging really high and it could be a bit risky for a noob to get in, nonetheless, if your intentions are for long term you can always buy what you can afford,
also we have some good alts among the top 100 on cmc that are still reasonable in price, you can take a look, do some research on them and make your choice.
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP is DEAD?! Ripple XRP DUMPING?! Buy the dip? Price Prediction! on: January 05, 2021, 08:50:00 AM
As explained in the video, Ethereum was a much more lucrative AND safer play -- as proven by today's price point of over $1,000 per coin Cheesy

Only lucrative to those whales who happens to hold a sizeable sum of eth, that can not be compared to an individual who for instance can only afford to buy 1 eth probably at the cost of $500 and now that the price of eth has pump up to $1000, waw! $500 profit... not bad,
what about those who bought above that price! how lucrative is that, my point is most good project can be consider lucrative depending on the time you get in and the amount you hold.  Smiley
1472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $Bitcoin is first, $Eth is second, which of these should be in my 3rd place? on: January 05, 2021, 08:38:59 AM
Am not sure but i see ltc doing great as well, at least i have seen the performance of litecoin first hand from previous to present price and it seem to be gearing towards reaching the previous ATH which i think is very doable, the next suggestion would be bnb and invective protocol, i watch inj pump from $1+ to $5.20 and down to $4+ and we also have some few others too,
(and just on a side note, hex also did great too, i remember refuting a topic that speculate a price pump soon, never took it serious but am surprise that hex with such huge supply out perform some of my alts with not even close supply) Grin
1473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many coins/tokens do you think will survive in 2021? on: January 04, 2021, 01:55:06 PM
This is where having a use case can not be over emphasis, longevity plays also a vital role in establishing a project, there are too many baseless project without no particular cause of action, not adding value to blockchain, simply worthless in every sense, those project will be washed away in no time,  even those with a use case are finding it difficult to sustain the project as a result of lack of real demand for it,
only time will tell which among the very many we have that will survive.
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH break it's ATH? on: January 04, 2021, 01:28:10 PM
Eth has crossed 1000$ last night, could we expext that we will see a new ATH within 3-4weeks??

Are you looking for people's speculated opinion! because am sure you know no one can give you a guarantee answer on this, however looking at what is happening in the market right now probably a pre bull run warm up, it is possible to see eth getting close to the previous ath if not hitting it, then again we are all guessing and you should not use any of this post as a financial advice to invest except you already aware of the risk involve and are ready to accept the consequences.
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: History is repeating itself or not? on: January 01, 2021, 06:01:23 AM
It is better not try bring this up again after it has been largely discussed and argued upon in several threads in this forum, (since you have been away for so long you might not know it) however, I really do not see the connection between the 2, the US election was not the trigger of btc price movement, I doubt there is a definitive answer to that, but the closest was institutional investors have a sudden large appetite for btc, and of course the PayPal news, and many other reasons, but certainly not the elections or past and present regime  Smiley
1476  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase After 5 days, we will automatically sell cryptocurrency in your account on: December 31, 2020, 02:17:06 PM
This exchange will never stop to amaze me, I thought only bittrex are the soar ones who will sell your crypto funds on your behalf while your account is blocked,  so what is the reason for the account blocked exactly! Did your account got involved in any shady activities,
I  am not sure but I dont think binance will not act this way, I see them as more flexible than rest of them all.

This is the reason why I trust Binance more than these exchanges. But even if I trust Binance, I don't store my coins over there. After every trading, I send my coins to my own wallet. I guess, every crypto user should learn a lesson that we should not ever store our coins for long term in exchanges. As others haves, not your keys, not your coins.

Exactly, you can always do trading with centralize exchange but don't leave your funds for too long in there especially with the likes of coinbase, don't get me wrong, i know many people seem to trust that exchange too much but they are very quick to do stuff like this, block accounts without any reason or with just little reason,
between i don't understand how @op was so comfortable leaving his btc in coinbase wallet for longer than necessary, don't be so trusting with any exchange as long as you don't have control of your p/keys, and yeah, i don't usually hear of this kind of situation from binance users, i hope they will continue to stay true to their users.
1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much btc do you need to secure your future? on: December 29, 2020, 01:51:45 PM
There is probably no definitive answer to this question. It's entirely something that depends on Bitcoin's price. Besides, it should be noted that blending the future with a store of value cannot guarantee anything. The economic and political situation of the country should also be considered overtime. While in some countries, it is possible to live a full life with a certain amount of savings, but you may even have difficulties in meeting your basic needs in another country with the same amount.

couldn't agree more, the future is uncertain so is the price of btc in future, it could be higher or even lower than what we expected, although i don't think it is bad to blend the future with a store of value (or should i say assets) provided that store of value is something that has a stable price, and more importantly the country of residence also plays an important role, the amount that one can consider decent enough for future plans in third world countries may appear to be too little in developed countries, the list goes on,
so yeah, there is not definitive answer to this type of question.
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT(NON FUNGIBLE TOKEN)... which are the best to invest in 2021? on: December 24, 2020, 02:34:07 PM
My attention was getting focused on the dego.finance, as far as i know, the dego's NFT has been getting a lot of demands. You can try to see that so many people are trying to use NFT.

I have bought some when it less than a dollar and i have taken a very nice profit from there. But the demand for dego's NFT is so high.

Just try to tell you about a little story.

The price of dego finance is less than $1 now for anyone who is looking into investing in NFT's, it seems the recent dip has brought another opportunity for people to pick up some good project to ride the 2021 bull run (if it will happen)
i don't know much about NFT but it seems worth looking at, i think small cap alts will soar high when the alts season eventually come, but non the less, always do your due diligent.
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A little word of advice is enough for the wise on: December 24, 2020, 02:27:45 PM
Coinbase along with some other exchanges like bittrex and poloniex did block people from withdrawing. Poloniex later unblocked the accounts but it took them like a year to do so.
Bittrex is probably the worst. If you did not provide required KYC they would not allow you to withdraw any funds deposited before the KYC became mandatory.

Holding coins there or even depositing may lead to your account being blocked and you having to wrestle with support.

Bitrrex definitely the worst among them in blocking accounts unceremoniously, their level of strictness is nauseating sometimes, i had a long time account with bittrex i have not use for a long time and just recently i tried to access the account but for some reason the google recovery key is missing and i tried to deactivate the old account since i already have my kyc done (unwillingly) but those guys just making the whole process difficult, bittrex is a real pain now, far from what it use to be.
1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non successful projects find it hard to pay on: December 24, 2020, 02:21:59 PM
Are new projects supposed to be well successful today to pay bounty hunters their promised payment? If they raise huge amount of money paying bounty hunters won't be a big problem, am I right ?

Assuming you got paid tokens of an unsuccessful project which automatically turns worthless what will you do wit it? you can't trade it except keep it as souvenir  Cheesy
it is a waste of time to have junks in your wallet and even the team of such project already knows it is not worth given such tokens out, the reason why people support of campaign for project is to be able to sell at the end of it all not to keep as a souvenir.
