1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 25, 2023, 09:43:51 PM
I have a discussion with a close relative about online gambling and he said something that about how he hate gambling online because it's too addictive, he claimed real life casinos are better and less addictive because he will have to drive down to Las Vegas to gamble or drive down to a local casino and this still takes some physical effort and it discourages many people from frequenting gambling.

He said with online gambling it's available on through mobile phones and you can play at any time, this means no shortage of gambling around the clock and no shortage of losing money as well, you can easily pull out your phone and gamble with any free time, a bit compulsive and too accessible.

What do you think about this claim? Is he right or wrong?

Well it's basically true, This is why the growth of online casino is faster rather than physicals casino because people are starting to prefer online casino since it's a hassle free way of doing gambling and it is way too accessible for anyone who has an internet connection and don't have any restrictions on their country. Though there are still people who prefer doing gambling on real casino since it is for them way too entertaining to physically gamble and I agree that the experience to it is way too different. Both of it just have their own cons and pros, It is on how you prefer it.
1502  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 23, 2023, 11:25:18 PM
I don't appreciate phone gambling because I'm a desktop user. I'm not really fond of doing gambling on a phone even If I'm traveling, I would preferably wait to get into my destination and do gambling on my laptop at least than do it on my phone. I just don't enjoy it that much playing on a phone given that it is small and the desktop layout of the website is far different from the layout in phone which makes me feel like new in my favorite casino website. It also feels somewhat laggy even I'm using an 3 year old flagship phone which is a big hindrance in playing crash game which accuracy is important. The experienced is greatly reduce on phone gambling in my own opinion that's why I don't use phone to gamble.
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to profit from altcoins collapses? on: January 23, 2023, 10:39:57 PM
Is it possible to profit from collapses of altcoins? Do you have any ideas how to?
You have two options in 99% cases. The best method is to open short position on crypto exchanges if the crypto pair is offered on market. Second option is to buy dip points before alt season so you can harvest profits when price goes ATH. Depending on the capital and trading experience, you may make nice ROI with right trading decisions. Choosing the coin that may go down in next bear attack on the market should be hard task, instead, you can pick few altcoins and follow updates to make clear decisions later.
This is the common and right way to make profit in bear market and I personally doing this when I'm ready to make a profit in a falling market. I rarely do shorting since I don't trade much these past few months that's why I don't know where the a dump is potentially heading, It's hard to guess where will the price fall. A TA is a necessary in doing shorting. Buying at lower prices is my always go to when big dumps happens, Most of the time you can get the best prices in dumps as long as you know what is the project or altcoin you are buying and know if it is underpriced and worthy to keep for a long time.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 23, 2023, 10:00:44 PM
Quote
Gambling in Japan is not black and white. In fact, gambling is considered a criminal offence and is generally banned across the country.

Those that are found gambling can face large fines and even serve jail time.

However, there are exceptions to this rule. Betting on horse racing and the lottery are two forms of gambling that are accepted in Japan.

To me, this seems hypocritical. You claim that gambling is illegal, but you may bet on horse racing, Pachinko, bicycle racing, boat racing, and Mahjong, which baffles me. I do not seem to understand. Why is that so? You claim it is unlawful, yet wagering on games that are overseen by the government is not unlawful. Is this not hypocritical? What does the government fear?

In countries like PH, there is legal and illegal gambling. Legal gambling is those that are regulated by the government, paying taxes and complying with the country's gambling law. On the other hand, illegal gambling is those operating without any permit or license to operate from the government and avoiding tax and related supposed responsibilities of being a legal operation.

Maybe we can compare it to how's gambling in Japan, where there is allowed gambling and prohibited gambling aside from cultural reasons or whatever.

Gambling might be not 100% illegal there in general but its citizens should only gamble to their allowed gambling or else will face fines and penalties.
As long as the government it benefitting from the gambling activities of people, They are mostly allowed to do it. There are requirements such as license, paying annual taxes, regulations and other things that the operator must do. Illegal gambling only happens if the operator or casino didn't complied with the rules that the government set and obviously government doesn't get something from it. I don't think that it is illegal to do gambling in PH given that Philippines is performing it's national lottery almost everyday. I think it is the same in Japan but with more strict regulations and more controlled allowed gambling games.
1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you into crypto at the moment? on: January 23, 2023, 09:42:39 PM
I have seen a lot of people around me joining due to lack of jobs during the epidemic season, some because the price of btc is very good so they want buy altcoin, a few others came from IEO, etc
And you?
IEO - Staking - DeFi Smiley
Thousands of people come to crypto in 2020 because they want to make a profit with DeFi & the staking form of many tokens like ETH & ADA, especially IEOs on Binance with 50% -100% profit has made the whole market warm back after long winter from 2018.
Well they want to gain money of course, Almost everyone is struggling during the pandemic season and people are losing their jobs, Most of us is trying to survive by finding a way to earn money and crypto is one of the way to make money at that time. Let's be honest, Most of them just want to ride the bull market and earn monetary value and just don't care what is the real happening behind the bull market at that time. This is why there are many people who are getting traumatized after experiencing a bear market after the bull market because they only expect the market to go up and up for a short period of time. We can expect another surge of people flocking into crypto when we are nearing or during bull market again given that everyone wants to milk it and make money from it.
1506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 23, 2023, 09:19:31 PM
There is this thing about shopping and airlines that when you check and forget, they send you bonus or discount for your possible shopping/trip. Same holds true for casinos, if you just register and leave they will send you some bonus to get you started playing.
Ohh yeah, This is some kind of a clever trick to utilize the bonuses of the casino. Haven't think of this kind of trick before but I guess it is logically possible since I also receive emails on casinos that I usually don't play. I just keep receiving emails from them about giving me a bonus to play again and welcome back bonus. Using a separate email for this kind of trick is mandatory for it to be sorted (unless you want spams) and lessen the risk of getting stolen or hacked along with other important accounts,.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 22, 2023, 11:38:02 PM
~snip~
It would be a suicide if you do really end up on having this kind of mindset and belief on mind about getting some loan and going all in just because you do really believe on AI winning rate?
For some testing then it wont really be that bad but it would really be jut good for proving out your curiosity but if you do rely on it then it would be an another story.
Dont make yourself believe that these things does work because if it does then all of us would really be that filthy rich and make our all bets to be profitable.
So it doesnt really work, it is really just people becomes too desperate on trying out new things.

I think there might be a possibility of getting better odds than some companies that are not using AI to calculate their odds.

But in the end it's a small amount of probability to get it right, so I wouldn't put too much money on it.

Maybe for things that are rare, and the AI is saying it will happen, maybe for those it's worth using it.
We don't really know how big the chance is to get a win from using AI for gambling. But if the chances of winning are getting bigger, the news will surely spread to many gamblers so that many gamblers will try it to see the results. And if it works for some people, there will be many more who will try it and most of them will use more money to gamble. I can't imagine what if AI technology is applied to gambling and a question arises: whether casinos can survive the many people who can win from many games.

We're all curious about what AI can do if the data it has is updated every now and then. You wouldn't think for 1 sec not to try asking the AI if your analysis of a sports match is close to its analysis. It gives you a second confirmation that your confidence to bet increases.

Of course, if AI can do it, it's a breakthrough. And if I think of betting just $25 and then the AI says my prediction is close to its prediction, I might just bet $50.

I like yourpoint, a second confirmation to convince you that the analysis that you did are also being back up by the data which AI can detect, a good basis to add more to your potential bets, if there's already a good chance to win then placing much bigger bet probably will be the option for most gamblers who can read the analysis very well.

Though it is still gambling and even there's a good basis according to data the chnace of losing can't be removed, there's no accurate if bad luck takeover with your bet.
You can use AI like this also, You can use AI as a validation or a second opinion to your chosen bet. You will put an additional work from doing it but the chances of you winning also increases given that you have an AI opinion. It's like your bet is backed by a compilation of data, Which AI is most likely doing since it rely on the data you are feeding it. Knowing that you have a great chance of winning also makes your inner self kicks a strong sense of confidence that can be undeniably make you bet more than what you are planning to do.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody else confused by the dead-coins pump ? on: January 22, 2023, 04:28:31 PM
Kinda. I'm mostly confused that some people are actually buying those coins. Some influencers even promote them, and I'm like "what the hell?".
Well influencers are gaining money from it that's why they are promoting it and some of those promotions are an obvious scam. People who are buying are either joining the ride or doesn't have any idea on what they are into. Hyping coins are still effective today and there are still many people who don't understand what are they buying to, The only thing they know is the possibility that they can gain profit from it and when they are on the point of getting some profits, some of them are just being greedy that's why most of them are just being at loss. We know that riding this kind of dead coins pump has its own risk and the risk is just too high to consider.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 22, 2023, 03:55:29 PM
First of all if you are looking for some legit casinos then you will find lot of them on the forum but if you are looking for detailed review then I would advise you to go through BTCGOSU site as they give good reviews so you can choose the casino according to your preference.Like if you are interested in no KYC casino then you will find them and if you are compatible with it then there are that one also with lot of exciting games and slots. So check it and you will find list on forum as well.
BTCGOSU is one of the review websites recommended by many members because it can provide ratings that can be considered for people who want or are still looking for the right casino. There are several other review websites in this forum. On average, they can also provide an honest review of one casino. All of the rating websites always give notifications when they have finished making a review of a new website.
This is one of the most easiest thing to do, Checking on review sites such as BTCGOSU, But the hard thing about it is finding those good review sites knowing that there are so many bias casino review out there that are getting paid just to advertise. Finding a good fair review site is a must, Though there are some review sites here such as BTCGOSU which exist here for few years now and being managed by a real gambler with a good reputation here. Balancing out the results from those review sites can help you choose your desired casino for your desired needs.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: January 22, 2023, 03:22:32 PM
Their information might not be available to the public because of security and other hazard reasons but I think they are required to submit their KYC in getting a license to operate a casino. This means they performed KYC but it isn't for public eyes. I see no attractiveness on a doxxed casino team, Even if I were to able to choose to the casino I regularly play over the doxxed casino, I would certainly choose the casino I regularly play because of the certain trust I gave to them. I believe that being doxxed is only effective on investments since a start up project doesn't have that much to show off on in making their potential clients trust them aside from giving them their own identity.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald's Metaverse or just a Hype? on: January 22, 2023, 02:59:57 PM
the thing with these companies adopting NFT technologies is that they didn't really bring good implementation with it and most of the time it just ended up as a gimmick and eventually failing.

McDonald's could make a one-off NFT that would allow only you to order McRib via/in the Metaverse and it gets delivered to you IRL, while all others would gotta go take a hike to a brick-and-mortar store.

That would be fun sight, seeing how people would outbid each other for a piece of "gourmand" history. Grin
We can expect it to be utilized by Mc Donald's, They are heading into metaverse just like any other big brands out there but surely they will put utilization to it like new way of ordering online unlike what we have now. The future is near and companies don't want to be late that's why they are building now so they won't be rushing. We can expect other big brands to make their own metaverse or collaborate with other metaverse soon as people see it as the future. Well we can say it's gimmicky but I'm sure it's a big plus to them as they have the technology that people will use or enjoy.
1512  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: January 21, 2023, 07:20:40 PM
I have seen that many suggest various recommendations regarding the different games, some talk about PVP, others about improving the supply of slots, and always expanding the range of games, this seems correct to me, but I think that what I would always suggest would be go beyond the simple standards, first that they have inviolable security, and second that they become more private, or more anonymous, I have not seen casinos that are irreverent, like they have the option of Monero, or at least Zcash, since there are so many threads where they cry out for privacy and anonymity and a resounding No towards KYC.

I totally agree with you, having more options for cryptocurrency deposits would be a great feature for online casinos. Another feature that many players look for is anonymity/non-KYC options. So adding support for Monero or Zcash could definitely attract those users. However, it's important to note that laws and regulations around online gambling can make it difficult for casinos to offer full anonymity. That's why web3 casinos, which operate on decentralized platforms and don't rely on traditional banking systems, might be a good alternative for players who value privacy. I believe in the next few years there will be a stronger web3 casinos which can compete to the tradition online casinos

Another thing that I think would be great for online casinos is to optimize their websites for faster page loading. This is especially important for players in areas with a poor internet connection, where slow loading times can be a real deal breaker. By improving the overall user experience, casinos can attract more players and keep them coming back for more
More deposit option is one of the basic needs of casino since gamblers need options and I'm pretty sure that there are many gamblers who hold many altcoins and they don't want to convert it just to play on the casino, It's such a hassle. About KYC, We can't do anything that much about the KYC since most casino now are implementing their own KYC rules given that they have a license and they use it to detect cheating and multi accounting. Trusted Non-KYC casino are becoming rare nowadays and most of the are just basically new casino so it's hard to count on them. A good design and responsive casino is one of the basic needs of a casino, A slow casino is an easy turn off for gamblers and surely they can't compete with the other reputable existing casino. Those recommendation are just common wants of gamblers and casino should know it.
1513  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: January 21, 2023, 05:42:50 PM
Thank you for clearing the air because some people don't want to agree to the fact long existence of Roobet, the level of their security, and the fact that they doing well in their means of operation and it makes me feel like people never really know how much to appreciate something until that thing is gone.
I can say they change the way we see games and contests on this forum.
Almost everyone are aware of the fact that Roobet has established itself as one of the top crypto gambling sites out there, but you are exaggerating by stating that they are some sort of perfect site with zero issues.

Roobet has its own fair share of issues(Mandatory KYC, withdrawal fees etc) just like any other site out there. Accept the facts and move forward.
What actually happens and cannot be denied is that every casino will always favor their own casino and claim that their casino is the number one out there and loyal users of the casino will also say the same thing because they are too comfortable and believe in that casino.
So please understand that if this happens and if there are still shortcomings and it doesn't match what they say, it's better for us to know enough and don't need to debate it because it will only waste our time in vain.
Of course we have different biases on casinos especially if it gained our trust and we are gaining something from it, we can't deny it. We all have our favorite casinos but ranking it as a number #1 casino doesn't mean it's number #1 on others especially if they heard some problems or experienced a hassle playing on it that's why I agree it's pretty meaningless to debate about it. I always believe that there are no perfect casino since every casino here has their problems to deal with and there are times that gamblers are affected with it. There are times that the gamblers wants doesn't have or negate the casino has.
1514  Economy / Gambling / Re: 4CryptoBet New Online Crypto Casino and Sports Betting! on: January 21, 2023, 05:02:47 PM
Typically casino offers a feature that you can forfeit bonus and withdraw the deposit amount if you can’t finish the wagering. I probably skipped claiming this 300% deposit bonus that I won on the contest.
I think your decision to ignore the bonus is a good decision rather than having to force yourself to use it without being able to forfeit the bonus later, and having to fulfill all the rules that are unpleasant for you, and winning a contest with a prize in the form of a deposit bonus does not seem like a prize because you who get the prize have the opportunity to lose money because you are chasing to meet the wager requirement.

I’m already preparing to deposit my money right after I read that I won in there promotion but my mind change when I visit their website and look how limited the games. Their design too is like a poor quality casino which makes me check the terms for the bonus.

It’s really good thing that I check first the terms before I deposit because I was confident that this casino is good because they have existing campaign but reading the  bonus terms feels like I didn’t win a bonus instead they game me a reason to lock my money in their and force to bet until I use it all.
Yep, You don't need to force yourself playing in any casino that make you feel forcing you to play because of the terms. There are many factors in getting hooked on a certain casino and the quality is one of the biggest factor to consider. They are a new casino and it is understandable that they have only few games but if they are somehow making people force to play in a casino, It's arguably a red flag. It is much better to just play on other casino that let's you play however you want with their bonus without having you feel you are locked with them.
1515  Economy / Gambling / Re: BCGAME is a SCAM it does not allow me to WITHDRAW my money it has STOLEN from me on: January 21, 2023, 04:44:48 PM
* I want to show why I'm withdrawing that, it's not for bonuses or anything, it's because I earned it in sports and forum challenges
~snip~
everything I earn since I participate daily in the forum challenges
It means there is no deposited fund in your withdrawal amount. You have made it all from the free reward amount. I don't know what kind of rules BC.GAME have for such withdrawal. But it's really funny that they have asked you to wager $3,000 by making a deposit of $1,500. I haven't seen this type of high requirement at any other casino. BTW, I have found similar complaints from other users in BC.game forum: Audit failure
I don't think majority of the casinos has the rules about their bonuses. The easiest way to reason a case like this is saying that it's a bonus abuse. I'm sure that they have studied on how their bonuses can't be abused by someone. Asking you to wager amount is just crazy especially if there are no rules about that. BCGame should establish a public rules about the bonuses so people won't be scared on using it especially if the casino are just spurting the reasons about abuse when there are nothing. For now, We can just wait for the response of BCGame.
1516  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: CRYPTOK – Sulit ba ito? on: January 21, 2023, 04:11:59 PM
Since nilabas na nila yung list ng dapat pag-usapan sa event, why bother attending the conference? Unless gusto mo mapalawak yung connection mo for business purposes, then go.

But if ang habol mo lang is the introduction about crypto in general; i-search mo na lang isa-isa yung topic sa net, hindi ka pa pagod sa pag commute. Baka nga ma out of place ka pa don sa event kapag wala kang kakilala na kasama Grin.
Tama! If connection yung hanap mo maybe it's worth it pero di din nila dinisclose kahit yung mga aattend dun sa workshop. Mostly ng sasali dun is we can expect na wala pa masyadong alam sa crypto but of course may mga sasali dun na may mga business at gusto nila mag adapt sa crypto. I think na konti lang yung sasali sa workshop nila because of the ticket, yes it's the ticket. Pero isa din sa iniisip nila kaya ganun is gusto lang nila maging part ng workshop nila is yung pursigido at ready mag risk given almost all things in crypto has risks.

I'm just thinking if di nila ma hit yung quota nila sa tickets, Will the event continue?
1517  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: January 19, 2023, 11:57:13 PM
As far as we know, Roobet has only been launched in the year 2019. The casino is two (2) decades of old.
Maybe the record from that website (Internet Archive's Way Back Machine), records similar url with the roobet casino, but if it did really existed, I strongly believe that it's not a casino.
[,,,]
[...]
I think there were a few places in the crypto world that did that too. They made some huge amount of money, and when they got that much richer, they ended up using that money to buy a better domain, and changing the whole branding of their company as well. That's why I keep telling everyone if they want to build a business, the name is far inferior topic compared to actually being able to grow, because with any name you could grow if you know what you are doing.

Roobet and physical location never really came up, I think it would have been talked about if it were true, we would have seen at least one picture of it, there is absolutely no proof of real casino anywhere online.

I think Roobet is not our concern in terms of its historical perspective and what they have become these days. In fact roobet has achieved such levels as of now that its impossible to put a black ink on them. What I mean is, they are doing just great with their roadmap, their fan base is huge as compared to any other casino out there. Meaning, they are doing the right thing and they will continue to do so because thats the actual success mantra for the Roobet and it's entire staff. This is definitely unprecedented discussion if we are trying to dig out information which is not matching up with the Roobet's previous existence. What matters is, they are doing perfect and they will continue to do so...!
I can't say it's impossible but currently the trust they have from their gamblers and the reputation they have, They are most likely to behave well and be gamblers friendly after years they have in the industry. There are many unexpected things that happened in cryptocurrency recently and we don't know in the future but there still has a chance that a casino that has a good reputation can turn into a bad one after one incident. I don't know if this happened already but I don't think impossible is the right word for them. They are doing great as a casino and gamblers like it so we can't argue with that. People will just keep digging information given that the industry they have is steep and there are so many competitors.
1518  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅🍅 wintomato.com 🍅Dice 🍅 Slots 🍅 Sport Betting on: January 19, 2023, 11:35:41 PM
Hello,

The thread is very full of a scam accusation, but has any member reviewed the site if they pay, if it is free to play? If the site has an accusation, I think that it should fix that once and for all so that it does not bring more problems, and I think that if you owe someone money you should pay it, sometimes losing you win more, if the casino owner sees That your company is being greatly affected by this should put things in order in the forl, in this forum it is widely used by several players to see the reputation and guide themselves, this forum is serious enough to do things very well.

They have an outstanding scam accusations but I've seen that it is resolved already. I believe that they started fixing those accusation to remain clean in this forum. There are still people who got complaints about this casino and would be encourage to make their own scam accusation just like the one that is currently resolved. With proper format and proofs, With that the accusations can be valid and there's a high chance that wintomato will do a thing about it knowing that they have resolved past accusations. Though we can't solve the bad experience and frustrations that other members here expressed in this thread.

I've seen Nico David na actively giving warnings to his followers about this and di ko alam na sarcastically may nag offer sakanya na maging promoter about this type of scheme na ipinost niya sa social media. At syempre di niya yun papatulan kasi kakainin niya sarili niyang salita if ever mag promote siya ng another different scam platform.
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Are You Preparing For 2023? on: January 19, 2023, 10:24:50 PM
No change of plans, Still doing DCA and still accumulating bitcoin and a portfolio of altcoins. It is also wise to keeps some funds incase market go down heavily to buy sweep some bottom price altcoins. Though I don't do this since I believe it is much better to DCA consistently in my case. We still have many months left to keep our portfolio full and we can still make it till bull market. I don't see bull market coming on 2024 this is why we have a year at least to make moves about our preparation to the upcoming bull market. The altcoin to be collected or the assets will always depends on us of course.
