1523  Economy / Trading Discussion / BTCWebHost.com - Official Statement Regarding Acquisition on: December 20, 2011, 08:44:16 PM
Official statement to BTCWebHost.com shareholders

Dear Friends,

like many fledgling startups on the GLBSE We have had a lot of ups and downs, however over all I consider BTCWebHost.com
a success at this point.

Earlier this month I was contacted by a very well known web hosting company that was interested in BTCWebHost.com and it's customers,
they were considering making the plunge into the Bitcoin world by selling web hosting for Bitcoins and they wanted BTCWebHost.com
to be their springboard. Although at one point this transaction seemed all but cemented in stone - it has since slipped through the cracks and the
company in question has since backed out of the deal. I spoke in length with one of their officers and apparently they felt getting involved with
(and I quote) "a company listed on a rogue stock exchange" would be "risky at best" and in the long run they would have to spend more money on attorneys
to satisfy their legal requirements than the deal might even be worth.

Based on the votes by the stock holders it appears that at least half of you will be disapointed - and I would have to say that I am about half disapointed
as well, although the deal was not going to make me rich it was a nice chunk of change for a company I founded with a song and put only a months worth of effort
into. For those who are disapointed, I apologize - but good things are to come!

At any rate we are stuck with eachother, but I want to give you some encouraging information. While this deal was falling through we have actually been doing business.
So far this quarter we have done 24.9508 BTC in sales with a good portion of that re-curring monthly charges. Considering we have only been open for one month
it is not a disapointing figure to me.

My schedual has been very demanding lately and I apologize for the fact that I have not been able to invest the time necessary to really make
BTCWebHost.com succeed and this is something I am working on changing, I recently had a newborn baby girl and with that, the holidays and the other projects
I have going on including running a full time bricks and mortar business It has been hard for me to keep up, but I want you to know I am excited about the future
I have a new found motivation and drive to make these projects happen for myself, for the share holders and for Bitcoin as a whole. I have been looking into partnerships
with like minded individuals who can help to make some of these great projects succeed and I just ask for those of you who are doubting please allow me the chance to
restore your faith in me!

The first step in making that happen is to get some of these other projects up and running again and to continue to make BTCWebHost.com profitble, CoinConnect
will be back and we have some other very exciting projects on the horizon.

Most importantly - This financial quarter is almost over, and I make a personal promise to all share holders that you will receive dividend payments on 01/01/2012 !

As always I am locking this thread (I do not see a point to leave it open for trolls who have no business even reading this to make comments on it)
however if you wish to contact me to discuss this matter or any other related matter you can find my contact info at the bottom.

Thank You.

I know, I am so sorry I am waiting on a financial report from Bit-Pay.com - as part of my statement, their website only allows me to go back 30 days so I had to put a request in - in writing, I will go remind them right now, as soon as I get this information you can expect a public statement

I just tested the entire process, it works perfectly just like you wanted it to

for someone to get an account they have to click login/create an account

then they have to click request an account
and fill out the form

then they get a confirmation email

then when they confirm the email

an admin can confirm the account by going to special pages
Users and Rights > Confirm Account Requests

go ahead and check it out, It works perfectly from start to finish.

its still not working?

I installed the extension you asked me to... let me check it out

actually It does work

Unthinkingbit I just confirmed your test3 account you requested

not sure what the problem is , It worked for me, you have to access the user controls via special pages

damn I feel like a loser now that we have to have multiple backup wikis lol Sad

participating in the GLBSE could quite possibly be totally illegal.
Why?

I am no expert in this area but from my limited understanding on the US laws, it is illegal for Americans to participate in this type of thing. I mean c'mon there must be at the very least financial rules are regulations involving the SEC and US government that must be followed in order to even attempt to do something like this on any kind of legal level.

If anyone else is more knowledgeable on this subject I would love to hear what you have to say.

1535  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [MOTION] ID#70 - Vote to Sell BTCWEB to Undisclosed third party on: December 17, 2011, 05:24:27 PM
Expect a major statement on this deal later today, for some reason GLBSE is not letting me see the results of the motion?

BTW: I did not vote even though I own a vast majority of the shares

As far as the legality of the GLBSE I am not an expert in this area, although this company believes it to be illegal in the USA and at the very least not at all legally binding.

In Any case I was on a unrelated business trip yesterday but was able to have a conference call with this perspective company and will release a full statement in regards to BTCWEB, and CC.

I have always and will continue to support the share holders and I want you all to know I will do my best to look out for the share holders best interest (after all I am the BIGGEST share holder)

stay tuned
1536  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [MOTION] ID#70 - Vote to Sell BTCWEB to Undisclosed third party on: December 15, 2011, 03:02:37 AM
believe me , I would really like this to be the case, but it's a no go for sure, their stance on GLBSE is that is completely illegal and fraudulent, which I of course do not agree with but I cannot convince them otherwise.

This is why I have decided to give the shareholders a vote on this acquisition. I really want to be fair here.
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [800,000 DVC remaining bounty] for Devcoin preliminary testing on: December 15, 2011, 12:11:15 AM
I agree with both of you. It's such a grey area, especially for those of us that live in the USA, I have battled with this myself - I want to be an honest businessman but at the same time participating in the GLBSE could quite possibly be totally illegal.
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [800,000 DVC remaining bounty] for Devcoin preliminary testing on: December 14, 2011, 11:19:38 PM
I just want to make a suggestion, I think its important to have to prove your identity beyond just having to upload your keys, GLBSE strive to be anonymous, and because of that it is very easy for someone to scam, also the other side of it is , if you are a legit person who has a legit business , its difficult to prove who you really are, you should have to upload a scan of your ID, and accounts should be registered to real names , not to forum aliases..

thanks for listening!
1539  Economy / Trading Discussion / [MOTION] ID#70 - Vote to Sell BTCWEB to Undisclosed third party on: December 14, 2011, 09:14:22 PM
after receiving many messages of concern from share holders I have decided to put a motion forth to allow share holders to vote on weather or not to sell BTCWEB to an undisclosed third party.

I was not able to convince this third party to pay share holders of GLBSE as they do not recognize it as any legally binding entity
However if it is approved to sell - I will work out a deal with share holders to buy back shares at the amount they were purchased for plus an amount of profit that will be determined at a later date.

If share holders vote to not sell BTCWEB I will honor that vote, we do have customers and I can pay dividends as promised in the asset contract.

Voting ends 12/16/2011 - at that time I will post the results and any further information in this thread.

Thank You.
