And maybe some personals reason on his side, not sure about that but I think he had some regrets on what he did to me. The amount was so big that it would be acceptable for him to sacrifice part of the loot so he has both his conscience right and feel less stressed that everybody chase him.
Nope, I pointed out earlier that ethics went out the window once he stole your btc. If he was a moral person and wanted to right the wrong, he would have returned the whole thing. You either return all of it, or none of it. But the fact that he returned just a small fraction under the condition that you LOCK the previous thread means that he does not want the investigation to continue, in fear of being caught.

But who is stupid enough to download a random file from a stranger on the internet? Even though I just said that, I know there are plenty of people that do. Almost deserved to be scammed just for a lesson-learned.

I will give as collateral a Nike.com GC of 25$ and my VirWox account, where I have a order of 75$ worth of BTC which will get to me in 24 hours.
These are not good forms of collateral. Assuming the gift card still has the balance you can just use it any time you want because you have the access codes. The virwox account is not a valid collateral either, because you can take possession back any time.

Not to defend him or anything, but I think he means that you might accidentally cause eye damage to another person or animal. Even the scattered light from the laser off of shiny surfaces, like water or buildings, might be enough to cause damage, it doesn't have to be a full beam.

Now that it doesn't matter anymore, would you mind sharing the source of this mining contract? I'm highly skeptical that it cost only $25 but you make $75 in a day. It's only a one day contract, why would they lose this much profit?

Dr-Exchanger, are you located in the US? If so, are you willing to take AmazonPayments as a pay method? (Not to be confused with amazon gift cards). There are no fees associated with amazonpayment for either of us.

I am lending up to 1btc with a payback interest of 4% Collateral of up to 120% is needed of either other alt-coins or Paypal gift.
Why would you even offer paypal as a form of collateral? You're asking to be victim of man-in-the-middle scam, and it won't matter if the paypal collateral is 120%, 150%, or 400%. Also you might want to state how many days the 4% interest is spread between. If it's 4% interest over 5-year loan, I'd request for this loan

I know this doesn't relate to the actual sig campaign, but if you use this bitmixer service, you're almost guaranteed to get a part of klee's stolen, dirty coins back.

OP it seems like you don't understand how escrow works, or just trying to fool some other newb that it's a safe transaction. Do you realize that escrow does not matter one bit when it comes to a paypal transaction?
|
|
|
You're passing the risk on to the lender because you just said that if you get scamed, payment won't be in 48 hours. If you think about it, why would the person renting out the btc mining contract do it for 0.04btc when they could earn 0.1168 btc in 24 hours?

their economy is screwed too, so bitcoin is a natural alternative
Who's economy ISN'T screwed at time time? I would have thought mtgox being in Japan would have woken up a lot of these dormant money already.

If I did my math correctly, that's a rate of $655/btc? What do you mean by "not included the transaction fees"? It should be sent as paypal gift, which shouldn't have transaction fees.
|
|
|
What do you mean by 10 "units"? I'm assuming 10 different bills, but you're not disclosing how large each bill was?

Wow OP, pretty unprofessional way to deal with some of your customers. That, and also the fact that these are drop shipped from another source has turned me off from probably getting one. Still following this thread for updates from those that will be receiving these.

The fear of being caught is definitely there for the thief. A HUGE amount of btc was stolen, so morals are out the window. The 462 btc being returned is not out of good faith but rather the fear being caught. Otherwise, one of the condition wouldn't have been to lock the original thread. He probably already knows of the evidence that has been left behind.

I'm willing to sell you btc for paypal. Taking a calculated risk here with paypal, so PM incoming.

The campaign will be closed... July 21...
I had a good experience with this campaign. I saw this coming though: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=618870.msg7625954#msg7625954As soon as trackers are added to the link, it analyzes how effective the sig campaign is and if it's worth it to keep on continuing. Obviously it was not worth it to FXO based on the amounts of clicks generated from the sigs, hence the closure.

I can tell you that this won't get you what you want. Just make a new account. You only have 65 posts, not much is lost.

There are a lot of exit points. Forum, LBC, and a dozen of exchanges. If you're located in the US and have a bank account, I'd be willing to buy the btc and deposit cash into your bank account. Shoot me a PM if so.

Just curious, what is the process to collect after you've won the arbitration?
