1521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - a global marketplace on: November 09, 2016, 10:26:28 PM
Is there any marketplace besides lykke app where lykke equity (LKK) can be purchased?

I am mainly interested to see a chart and perhaps buy some more.

No, until now LKK is available only on Lykke itself. But they are working on making it available on other devices too. I believe that other exchanges will add LKK in future, because it's promising and the development and progress won't stop. But I don't believe that it will happen soon. It's a longterm-investment and the major milestones besides development-progress will be most likely progress on regulatory-side and to make it fully available/usable everywhere. That's one keypoint of Lykke.

So its actually not m2?

It is M2, just not the official release yet - it runs on testnet.

But, it's obviously far developed and they seem confident that nobody will break it. ;-)
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: November 07, 2016, 11:01:14 PM

Yes! I especially like this one:

"We have spent the last several months testing it ourselves and believe it is now robust enough to debut to the world. However, we encourage our community to hammer on it till it breaks."  Cheesy

P.S.: Sadly..most likely.. I'm not skilled enough with the command line, but I'll try to figure it out.

P.P.S.: Screenshots look really great!

The top 4 worst FUDDERS of FCT are: #1-GROSSBIT (by far the worst)   #2- FLASHBIT (small clone of grossbit)   #3- FUYUKI WATARU(grossbit worshipper)  And last but not least, the single digit IQ- Fudking  (the new special kind of breed of dumb fudders that chooses a name like FUDKING. There you are folks all in a nutshell.

This name-calling and "this is a troll" and "he is also a Fudder" is pretty much nonsense. People have different opinions and tempers and everybody has some interest but just a very view really have a strategic agenda.

And what is for sure: flashbit is in no way a Fudder!

Take a look at his history: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=340888;sa=showPosts

He is one of the biggest supporters of Factom!

Reason for Bitcoin-price-drop:

"First reported by Bloomberg, the news source is said to have published a report detailing how Chinese officials could soon prohibit domestic bitcoin exchanges from moving certain volumes of bitcoin and other digital currencies abroad.

Of note, the article alleges, are concerns that bitcoin exchange users may be buying bitcoin on local exchanges and selling abroad, thereby evading foreign exchange rules."

I'd rather get a root canal without anesthesia than buy fCT right now.

If Anesthesia is not part of your health-insurance, it's understandable that you can't afford buying FCT.

My comment was witty, yours was not.

Because you are the clown here, I'm not.

We've all been waiting - but even if big news occurs that some company or other plans on buying 100 million entry credits per month, that still doesn't justify the current price at 73k per month inflation rate. I'm sure there will be a mini rally when M2 is finally here (and if that doesn't happen before christmas - expect fct to halve in value from here), but I think we'll be waiting for quite some time before we see usage figures for entry credits justifying a value of say 5 dollars per factoid. Who knows though, maybe speculation will help out.

Let me quote what I said on Reddit about that to Grossbit:

"Kind of funny is, that because of Factom's economical design many seem to believe something like you say with "If those numbers don't grow quickly, FCT price will crater" while other Blockchain-projects without a burning-rate of the system-currency are much more open for high expectations - without any current real use at all.

Fact is: All of those projects are in it's early steps. Besides Bitcoin, I don't know of any blockchain-project that is ahead of Factom when it comes to real business. It's true that Factom needs more use in general (future), but to say "quickly" is nonsense. It's marketcap is at $22 M while something like Augur is near to $60 M. Ripple is at > $300 M while nobody seems to know for what XRP really is needed (besides the fact that Ripple is no real blockchain-project). Ethereum is even at $1bn - after all what came to light because of the DAO-disaster, including the bail-out and the new old Ethereum-classic-chain.

In my opinion Factom is at a fair valuation and because of it's real potential, there is also huge potential for the price. I believe people will look back in 1 year like they look back now to the first 3 months of 2015 after launch."

This is about to moon so hard and I am laughing at all these fools dumping out. These prices is how you go from rags to riches. Thank you to whoever is bringing us so low.

I beg to differ. I was posting her last month about being patient and having confidence in holding strong. The result is I lost my ass. I'm not rich from it. Lucky for me I have been benefiting from all of the recent volatility and so my account is recovering.

I believe greatly in Factom and I'll be back in it someday. Today however is Bitcoin's time. You just can't ignore what's going on there. It wipes out anything else. Some people think it has just begun as well. Time will tell.

Safest bet is to sit out and preserve capital.

Yes, understandable! Thing in Factom is: One never knows when they'll push something out. Could be about weeks, could be today or tomorrow. That's why I'm very cautious with selling. I don't want to wake up and find out that Factom pushed something out 5 hours ago and the price already exploded.

"Chatbots for Trading

We are interested in advanced user interfaces, both for beginners on our platform and experts. Chatbots are emerging as a natural way to work with complex systems. We are interested in people who download our wallet, make a few small trades, and then tell us how chatbots may play a role in our ecosystem. This isn't a funded project, but we could find funding for the right one. The most important thing is that you're excited about what we are doing and can see how chatbots might improve the Lykke experience for our users.

Interested people may send email, ask questions, and send proposals to david@lykke.com

Thank you,

David Siegel"

I especially like this part:

"The blockchain software company completed its first phase of a project working with the Department of Homeland Security. They were given the opportunity to present before the National Institute of Science and Technology."

Can someone tell me what I can do with ANC antcoin ? Smiley
Regards

https://github.com/AntShares/AntShares/wiki/Whitepaper-1.1#j

"ANC are used for

•Accounting Charge payment

•Extra Service Charge payment

•Bookkeeper Nominee Deposit as collateral"
Will it be exchangeable?

It already is, but not on a larger scale yet:

ANC is trading in a small exchange in China
we do not promote this asset for the moment because we would like to wait for a stabler blockchain and software status

Folks, maybe it's time to calm down a little bit. The price sucks, yes. But it's still business as usual. Bitcoin goes up and more and more bet on a hype. Additionally most of us are kind of frustrated because of the ongoing delays without much communication, but who is in Factom since some time: That is also business as usual.

It's all red today. Even Zcash is not at 3000 BTC any more! Cheesy

1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Zcash? on: October 29, 2016, 08:59:05 AM
where can i find the main zcash thread in bitcointalk?

Funny how the FUD piles on during dumps.

You can't say that about me. In fact I even offered to buy Grossbits shares at one point (glad he didn't take me up on it).

I think there are now genuine concerns about their ability to deliver. We don't even have  a timeline for the testnet, let alone M2 proper. Of course there's always the hope that they will spring a positive press release with their rabbit in the Hat business strategy...

The market has spoken loud and clear.

I'm not concerned about their abilities to deliver, but I agree that the way they communicate is disappointing. And while I'm not critical about delays in general, it's impossible to count on anything what is said when there are huge delays without any further communication/updates.

The only real winners will be the founders/cooperations behind zcash.

Doing "nothing", getting 20% of each block, sell at insanely inflated prices to naive buyers who fell for the marketing/hype.

Are people really that blind?

Some yes. But as I already said, i guess most logged buys are just fake buys (zcash offers, zcash buys) --> hype hype hype

Most likely right, because even if some are totally stupid the high volume can't be explained with that.

2323.17968481 BTC / 31.67221072 ZEC

I think we are whatching one of the biggest scam ever in the crypto community

I don't think it's a scam, even if I'm not a fan because of the trusted setup.

But I believe it's market-manipulation - not necessarily from the team. My guess would be mining-farms.

Just speculation of course, but imagine you have a million-dollar-mining-farm and maybe connections to others. It wouldn't be hart to play a near-to-zero-supply-market that way to try to establish as high prices as possible.
