Roma being in the top 4 in Serie A is a matter of pride because this season they want to be in the top 4 so that next season they can compete in the Champions League, but looking at Roma's current performance it seems uncertain it is impossible to get that position and I doubt that Roma can qualify for this play-off round because their performance cannot be fully expected and it seems that Roma is not really the favorite club to win the European league title this season because there are still other clubs who are much stronger and more consistent.
And it's true, as you said, that the Roma players seemed to lose direction in the match because the coach couldn't accompany them in carrying out any instructions that were played on the field. Manchester City have changed their game at present and they have started to compete to occupy the top position in the Premier League. Manchester United had a great win against Newcastle United in the last match and they moved to the second position in the points table. Watching the Man City match we can say that the lost game came back to life after Kevin de Bruyne was present. Whether I'm overreacting or not, the effectiveness of attacks is much more organized. Bernando Silva scored a goal, and then Kevin de Buruyne immediately stepped on the gas to activate his ambition again. Imagine if there was Haaland, maybe the score could reach 5 goals. However, when Man City's goal machine is accompanied by Kevin de Bruyne, it becomes a scary combination. I missed the match due to my schedule but I was not expecting anything different from the outcome judging from the team history and capacity. I watched the highlight this morning and I commend the both teams especially the goal keepers for some incredible saves. It wasn't too bad but Guinea Bissau wasted some precious chances both in the first half and second half. Can't really say if the Ivory Coast goalie is too good or Guinea Bissau attackers lack some experience. The first goal was caused from error pass from the defenders and there is absolutely nothing the goal keeper could do about it. The second goal was too soft and I fault both the defenders and the goal keeper for their inefficiency.
The Nigeria vs Equatorial is a must watch match for me despite that I'm not too confident in the Nigerian squad. We actually have talented players in the squad but sadly, they are not ready to give their best to the team. The attack despite Boniface is missing, seems to be a little bit good likewise the midfield but my concern is the goal keeper. However the circumstances, I don't expect Nigeria to draw this match talk more of losing.
Well Ivory Coast getting the victory in this match wasn’t quite surprising because both goals came as a result of some errors from the defenders. Well Guinea Bissau had their best chances but their attackers doesn’t have the experience to convert their chances that’s why they didn’t have a goal in this match, however Ivory Coast show them class in the match, they dominated more and mounted alot of pressure on Bissau. There’s no special thing in this Ivory coast team so I don’t see them as much a threat in this competition. Well Nigeria ve Equatorial Guinea, Has just ended in a draw. Well, I think the Nigeria players weren’t quite with comfortable playing probably because of the weather. The players aren’t used to this harsh weather condition and that resulted in fatigue. Besiktas is one team in the Turkish League that are to an extent doing well for themselves. Even though they don't get to have a spot in the UCL, they still try their best to earn a spot in the UEL and while at that segment of the European tournament, they do their best to gain good results. Currently they're at 4th place in the standings with about 3points,just 2 points below the 3rd position and there's a possibility they'll finish 3rd place if they continue with their good effort. Besiktas being one of the top teams in the league still has the tendency of rising to a better stance. The team is set to make a positive turn around in the team and their game play will be improved too. We hope to see the new Besiktas a few days and weeks from now and see the difference they'd make. |

In a few recent games, Bilbao have been able to show strength and charisma to winning games. They've safely been tagged underrated and not really focused on but looking deep, they're making waves. Even their betting odds would speak for them. They are a team practically growing into a La Liga threat club. They've had competitive games and ensured they kept up their pace making the result of the game be either to their favour or a fair draw. Girona and Vallecano are a testament of the fact. It's good how Spanish teams are starting to face the uprising of the beat and live through letting just 3 teams be the talk about of the league. I was not sure that Dortmund could beat Darmstadt and when I became skeptical about Dortmund match yesterday I thought that Dortmund would just split the score and end in a draw because Dortmund previously had 5 matches without winning and only got a draw but yesterday Dortmund managed to secure 3 points to secure their position.
I have the same thought imagining that if Dortmund loses against Darmstadt or only ends in a draw it will be proof that Dortmund will not be able to perform like last season.
for some reason this season Dortmund looks very chaotic while this team is famous for being a team that always produces new talent but this season it seems like it is difficult to get players like before or indeed this is a work in progress but if Dortmund continues to have inconsistent performances I am sure they will lose opportunity this season.
Dortmund in previous seasons have been very much active and eager to chase the trophy. Although at the moment the chase isn't off, they've still got every chance in store to prove themselves. Their game against Darmstadt is technically a determinant of how good they've been. And I'm pretty sure that even though they don't end up winning the trophy, they'll try very possible to finish top 4. They've had scaly strides from the start of the season till now, they've managed to scale through in the UCL, no one knows their fate in the next round but there's certainty that there's difference in their performances now and then too. They're a good team that just needs to find back their balance, there confidence level has dropped big and corrections needs to be made soon enough too. Mourinho is a good coach, although in Roma he managed to bring good players, many of the players he brought came on loan or because they were free agents, so Roma didn't make big purchases on the market. I know that this does not serve as a justification for bad results because the coach is the one who chooses, hires and puts the players on the field to play and when a team is not having good results then that team needs to make changes and the blame will always be directed for coaches. In the case of Roma, I think that Mourinho would leave Roma. This season the chances of Roma being able to achieve anything relevant are very low chances that I highly doubt that Roma will be able to achieve anything.

In this transfer window I didn't see Roma signing any good strikers, in my opinion Mourinho started to have problems with the playing styles he adopts. He would be focusing a lot on defense and not on the style of play focused on attack, I get the idea that he has the same style of play as the Juventus coach. The formation with which Roma has played does not help in attack, they play with 3 - 5 - 2 which is the Juventus coach's preferred formation and as a consequence Roma will hardly be able to obtain good results
Roma are a good side. Their manager Mourinho has some kind of special ability to raise up a team into a pretty much successful squad. Even with the loopholes they're faced with, he's still been able to help the team stand out in some games. Injury has definitely been a number one deprivation of a team's performance but the manager has been able to make do with the players and squad he's got available and even though not perfect as expected, they're not relenting in their efforts. The European competition would definitely favour them, they only need to strive to win a ticket. Good thing also that their striker is at his peak performance and he's always capable of delivering the team to victory in dire moments. I'd admit that the team and manager are very much compatible maybe it's the resonance that's natural or maybe Mourinho's great coaching ability at work but at the moment, the situation in the team is in safe hands and patiently and gently, they'd stride to the spots they want to be even though they've got at hand tough team challenges to conquer. |

This is UCL, arsenal almost never had a good move in UCL. I would prefer to get another club like intermilan which was placing as runner up last season. It makes more sense rather than arsenal. Arsenal are a good team, they're active in all competitions and they've got the special ability to get victorious at the end. Well for me they've got a great squad and impressive management too but it'll be better if there's an improvement to what they already have. Adding a striker to the list and a few more players with increased effect won't really be a bad idea, rather it'll push the team into getting greater, bigger results. It's actually good that so far, the team have been promising and they're working smoothly with their manager too. Errors are quickly corrected and coordinations are present to. One would wait to anticipate what the January transfer window holds for this team. But for the meantime, they still have top contending chance in the European tournaments too. |

To be honest, I was surprised by Ajax's defeat. At first I thought because it was a local cup so Ajax only fielded second tier players to play. And they will prepare their main players for the league. But after I saw the match report it turned out that Ajax fielded most of their main squad. This is a worry in my mind about Ajax's chances of gaining a place in the Champions League next season. If Ajax appears inconsistent like this, it will certainly be difficult to get second place at the end of the season
Ajax have not been at their best performances but they've definitely been winning games and have been consistent to it. Definitely a coach has his own impact in a team, once the head is faulty, there'll always be loopholes. It means a lot for a team to get victorious consecutively in a row and for Ajax, that's caused a gradual improvement regardless not doubting that they still have to put in more work. They've got players no doubt but the squad needs to be better, Ajax is a team better than a narrow win, at the moment though, finding the right player who's top and ready in all areas to give that competitive capacity in both the domestic league and the European leagues will be hard. Every team won't want to loose their kept men and every player that's be free are the ones that weren't so solid for the team. It's quite expensive to get for a team a high valued player no doubt and Ajax management may not likely be up to the task and it's going to be unsafe to settle for a less standard player. Their inconsistency is unhealthy and they just have to find a way to stop the wins from occuring through a narrow means. Luck is a word that fits Napoli for their efforts to beat Salernitana. The goal in the added minute of added time was very significant in breaking the series of minor results in the previous four matches. That's going to happen only if pochettino will not repeat the same mistake again. The major problem was on the pochettino as he was always making a stupid decision. Middlesbourg will be playing at stamford bridge for the second leg. Chelsea is still having a chance as long as it will be playing fully offensive since the first minute. Chelsea really seemed to have difficulty maintaining the 1 goal lead they had obtained at the end of the first half from a penalty kick. It is indeed very sad to see Chelsea having to fight so hard to beat Fullham. Even without the opportunity for a penalty kick, this match would probably only end in a draw.
But still I am happy with the victory achieved by Chelsea in this match. Because no matter how good a squad a club has, they will only be considered good if they succeed in winning the match. If they have quality but don't win then it's a waste. So I appreciate Chelsea even though they had to fight harder but in the end they were able to win.
And I also hope that Chelsea can continue to get good results in the next matches. But in the EPL, it looks like Chelsea will have difficulties in the next match and might lose points. Because what they will face is Liverpool. And Liverpool are in the best condition this season. But in the match against Chelsea, it looks like Liverpool will still play without M. Salah. But still Liverpool without M. Salah is still better than Chelsea.
Well Fulham are Chelsea’s West London Rivals and yes the intensity in the match was expected. Fulham are a pretty good team and they’re in the semis of the Carabao cup. Chelsea aren’t really good so the struggle they had was expected to an extent. Though we must commend them for being able to maintain the lead and take home all 3 points. Onto the next match, Liverpool who are without star man, Salah. I think Chelsea would try to get something off this match especially as we’ve seen how they turn up and play big teams so well. Well Chelsea will really need some serious work to do so as to be able to get something off Liverpool who are league leaders. Also I think without their key player the Liverpool is still going to be very strong and tough. |

Olympique Marseille has once again confirmed how unpredictable French Ligue 1 can be. A lot of people would have lost fortune betting on Marseille to win yesterday. However Strasbourg is not also a bad opponent this season considering the fact that they won 3 of the last matches and drew 1. They even won a strong side Lille who are standing at 28 points this so far, the same with Marseille. The major area of disappointment with Marseille in that match was the fact that they were at home and failed to maximize their home advantage. The only goal that Gigot scored for them was an early goal which I don't consider worth celebrating much as anyone can score an early goal.
I would love to see more seriousness from a top team like Marseille if they nurture the hope of going far in the European league which they qualified for the playoff round and will be facing the Ukranian side Shakhtar Donesk on the 15th of next month.
Marseille got an early lead and had plenty of opportunities which they weren’t able to convert and then they were struck woth a goal in injury tome which led to a draw. Marseille should be really pained after this match because they had the best of the match possession wise and shots wise but were quite unlucky not to get 3 points. Kudos to Strasborg who remained composed even when they were being played totally by Marseille and they played away from home. This tells us this Ligue 1 really has potentials to be very competitive. Nobody thought Marseille would have the fair share of this match because Strasborg aren’t a bad side and can hit on you so hard especially having 3 wins and a draw in their last 5. Well Marseille could go for the Europa League if they maintain consistency and try to compete in every match and also in the current UEL where they’re playing Shakhtar Donetsk. |

Ronaldo shall not force himself to play if he was facing injury. he must know that if it will become even worse for him. We have seen that so many times ronaldo has been always carrying the club. Glad to see that ronaldo was not facing serious injury and he will be back again soon.
Im not really sure if al nassr can keep its performance without him. Ronaldo becomes a top scorer this season and missing him will be greatly impacting the performance from al nassr soon. Ronaldo needs to recover as soon as possible.
The performance from al nassr will be far worst without ronaldo to play. Im duobting the club can stay at the second place if ronaldo will out for weeks. He needs to come back as soon as possible, we can wait what's the decision regarding his injury.
Al nassr was losing the big guy on its club and it's time for mane to carry the club. Al nassr needs to work even harder than before when ronaldo out from the club. This is another disaster faced by al nassr. I can't even believe that was happening with him.
I think if Ronaldo is injured, he should stay put because his age isn’t on his side and he might put himself in more harm if he tried to play on with the injury. He has a dream of the World Cup in 2 years, and playing with injury will only shorten his hopes of participating in the tournament. Yes, he’s impacted so greatly in Al Nassr 2nd place at the moment and he’ll be missed no doubt because he’s the one coming through for them most of the time. I think Al Nassr should be able to make the necessary adjustments so as to retain their Spot and chase for the title. Because if they allow Ronaldo’s absence to be felt, then I think when he’s back from the injury, they might probably be below 2nd spot. This is a big blow especially as Mane is out to AFCON but I believe they can find a way out of this situation. |

If Copenhagen gets eliminated at this stage, I will still give them a thumbs up for coming this far in the champions league. When the group stage was drawn, Copenhagen was the least of my expectations that would make it out of the group. I always thought, Bayern Munich will come first, then Manchester United, then Galatasaray and then Copenhagen. But Copenhagen proved me wrong and switched the position I expected from them with that of Manchester United.
Manchester City is a bigger and more stronger team than them, I know they’re also trying their best but they’re no match for Manchester City especially now that most of their players are back from injury and are ready to go fully into the competition to earn another victory for themselves. If Copenhagen is eliminated now, it is understandable and they’ve tried their best and added to their record to make it this far in the champions league.
Copenhagen really pulled off surprises in the group stage of the UCL and they made it to the Round of 16, this is quite a huge deal breaker as not many expected this to be so. They really outplayed Manchester United in their matches and got a draw against Munich and Galatasaray that saw them through to the round of 16. Now they face defending Champions Man City, in a match I don’t see them having any win at all. Manchester City having the full squad back will unleash terror on this Copenhagen side. Well if they bow out at this stage, I will be more proud because they’ve achieved a feat for the club and it’s never going unnoticed. The players should be proud and still brace up confidence to face Manchester City, cause this time around they're be facing a more tougher opponent different from those in the group stage. |
