1542  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency as our Fiat on: December 15, 2017, 09:37:02 PM
Do You think that at some point in our society, Cryptocurrency will be our daily fiat and be an essential part of our economy? Can you cite your ideas on how Cryptocurrency change our Fiat?
When talking about cryptocurrency, people always think of bitcoin, although bitcoin proves to be a good investment it might not be a good alternative for fiat, because of how it is limited and has a very high changing price, however the blockchain network system could be applied to fiat, and thus by making digital fiat and allowing people to pay with it every where, it may be hard for people to get used to it but eventually they will accept it and start using it just like they are using credit cards today.
1543  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Buying Bitcoin at $10K? on: December 15, 2017, 08:55:41 PM

After going through the fire this year with some big challenges thrown its way and after experiencing some ups and downs in price, Bitcoin made big surprising moves as it finally inched into the $10,000 mark and right now as I am writing this thread it is still making some surge...maybe it is thinking of going ahead into the $11,000 level soon.

Based on the projection that it can go as high as $40,000 next year, we can conclude that $10,000 is still cheap and that there is still a big room to grow for Bitcoin. However, we all know that corrections can possibly happen anytime soon. At this rate, are you still buying Bitcoin or would you still recommend to folks you know to get into Bitcoin?

Long live, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency!!!!

It does not matter if you buy it now or wait until after the correction either way you are going to get profit from it, unless you are planning a short term investment in bitcoin than buying it at a lower price would be wise, but if yoiu are planing on saving it for at least another year than go ahead and invest in it now, because even if you wait until the correction the price of the bitcoin won't fall that much, so i would defently recommed anyone who haven't started investing in it to do so now because the price moves fast and does not wait for anyone.
1544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin sending fees... are you serious? on: December 15, 2017, 07:38:22 PM
I haven't sent btc in a while.  Back when i sent btc, fees were less than 50 cents.  Maybe 3 dollars?  I went and tried to send less than 30 dollars of btc... fees show up as 12 dollars on electrum and thats with the lowest possible fee where i make it send within 25 blocks.  Now if you want to send under 1 dollar, it cost 12 dollars.  When is this issue getting fixed?  Who in their right mind would send btc for small amounts when even the fee is that much?  Its like paying 12 dollars for something you want to buy that is 1 dollar?
Bitcoin transactions fees and time, are an issue that has been going on for quite a while, this problem started when bitcoin became so popular and so expensive along side the increase of the mining difficulty, see bitcoin mining is so expensive and requires a lot of hardware to do it, which makes it accessible for a handfull of poeple, and since miner are the ones who verifies the transactions, makes them slow because of how many transactions that are going on inside the network, and this means if you pay more fees which go to the miners the faster your transaction will be.
1545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Threat to Bitcoin from other crypto currencies? on: December 15, 2017, 07:24:15 PM
Will bitcoin Continue to grow in value in a market space of multiple cryptocurrencies?
What makes bitcoin more special than other cryptocurrencies?
Is it first mover advantage?

It's nothing special.
Bitcoin is not special in any way, it was the first coin and that's all.

The thing is that bitcoin has trust and has an enormous number of users in comparison. It has adoption.
And no matter what features another altcoin might have it's not like we're talking precious metals here.

Silver can't become gold (although we can create gold from platinum or mercury but that's far too expensive).
But bitcoin with a hardfork can copy everything an altcoin has.
It can change to 10 MB blocks it can change to 1 min blocktime time , so it's rather a thing of altcoins having nothing special, just a line a code that can be copied.
But users and trust, that's not a matter of code lines.

Indeed, what made bitcoin so successful is that it was the first cryptocurrency introduced to the world, the idea of having a decentrelized currency that is not controlled by goverments and banks seemed yet so good, and yet so impossible to achive, but poeple started investing in this idea and support it , until it became popular and this made its price go up and that made it even more popular, i feel like there is no cryptocurrency or altcoin will ever be a threat to bitcoin, because all they are doing is basicaly copying it, people think that they are made just to try  and be as successfull as bitcoin but they can't and they won't, the only way i could see them becoming a threay is if bitcoin was to go down to 1000$ and lets be honost that won't be happaning.
1546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $2000 to invest! Eth or ripple or bch ?? on: December 15, 2017, 07:04:38 PM
Hey guys! I have $2000 i want to invest for 3-4 months... maybe more based on your advice. Where and When should i invest and for how long should i invest in altcoins? Any help would be appreciated.  Smiley
If you ask me, with 2000$ i would dump them all into bitcoin, this year bitcoin has had a massive increase in price going from 1000$ to 17000$ giving poeple investing in it profit that exades the 1700%, and if that does not make you go crazy and doesn't make want to put more money into it than i don't know what will, i know ethereum is having a good pump right now but it is not as high as the bitcoin, with bitcoin you could achive the impossible, just a month ago profit over 70% think if you invest in it now in 3 or 4 month they could become 700%.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to claim Super Bitcoin on: December 15, 2017, 06:11:47 PM
Hello guys,

i have some BTC at coinbase, can anybody tell my whats the best way to claim super bitcoin for me ?
I also want to recieve at other coming forks like Bitcoin Cash Plus.

thanks,
Alex
You don't need to do anything to get it, i mean just the basic hold and don't send your coins until after the fork, and make sure to have them on a wallet where you have access to your private key, i don't really know what is the point of creating yet another bitcoin based coin, we already have bitcoin cah and bitcoin gold, but than after all it is not a bd thing for us as long as we always get free money from it, but i hope they don't do any strategies to bitcoin where they changed mining diffiulty just to make people mine bitcoin cash.
1548  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Rising or Falling? on: December 15, 2017, 05:38:07 PM
In the long time, btc will always rise. It may fall back some 1000$, but on the long term it will always come back and rise further.

Really you think that will fall to 1000$ ? I hope you meant to say 10000$ which may be fair considered the rise all started after it crossed 10k and then the upswing continued and seems it will still continue to some extent before a break out might happen. This year its being the bitcoin year where people across globe now wants to get the hands on it.

I don't know, but looking back at the past experiences itcoin's price seems to always drop at the end  and the begining of every year, i mean last year we had the bitcoin go down from 1000$ to 700$, i don't really know the reson behined it but i think that is due to the fact that many poeple are cashing out what they have earned all year long, and i think many people will do the same this year as well so we might witness a slight drop in the price, it surely won't fall to 1000$ like you said, probably arount 12k 13k at max.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing Streak Strategy on: December 15, 2017, 05:14:39 PM
Okay, so I am a losing bettor. I've never made money from placing bets, I could go on a small winning streak, but eventually I lose it all. So I have been thinking, since I am jinxed and very bad at making selections, anybody that does the opposite of what I do, at the right odds must profit. Getting the right odds is important, because as we all know, the bookie vig will ensure you lose in the long term.

There are a couple of ways to getting better odds; either your scour the web for them or you wait and bet live in play if the opportunity presents its self. Every now and then, I will post my bets, all you need to do is bet against me and viola, profits!
That is the problem with gambling, you win first, you gey greedy you lose you come back again, you win but you go on on a losing streak, when it comes to gambling you have to know when to quite, and avoid getting tempted by the fact that your luck is going to change in the next turn, if you lose just stop or iyour greed will turn yo addiction, a habit that you won't be able to stop, but when it comes to sports betting i personnaly do live betting where i will put a good amount of money when i make sure that the team i am betting is wining, it is a bit risky and the profit from it is not that high, but at least it is not as risky as just putting it all in the hands of luck.
1550  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advice: When should I cash out? on: December 15, 2017, 07:14:23 AM
I have been investing in a bunch of different coins for a while now, mainly BTC, ETH, LTC, and some other lesser-known coins. I have a lot of different coins in my portfolio to stabilize/reduce risk.

I love the gains that these coins provide. I never panic-sell, and always hodl and buy low. That has been my simple strategy.

However, I have a problem - how do I train myself to know when to cash out?

For instance, last night the BTC price was high (18K), and ETH/LTC price were low.

I could have cashed out then, and invested in ETH/LTC, which are seeing a nice pump now.

How do you know when to cash out??

Right now the only time I cash out is when I need to money to buy a gift or something.
First of all your strategy is good and you are doing the wise thing by investing in multiple coins, that way you are ensuring that you are getting profit regularly, second when it comes to bitcoin cashing it out is really a difficult decision, because once you do you won't be able to rebuy again unless you invest the money you cash out into something else that will get you more profit than saving bitcoin and watching it rise, I personally think that the wise thing to do is to set a goal for yourself and decide that at a certain price point you are going to cash out, and by cashing out I don't mean all of it, split your cap into tow half's, sell one and save the other, that way you are making sure that you won't lose.
1551  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin on: December 15, 2017, 06:53:33 AM
I am sure everyone is aware about the rise of altcoins like ETH and Litecoin so I just want to know expert's opinion whether to invest in bitcoin or altcoins as the price of bitcoin is too high now for an individual to invest into it ? Do you think these altcoins will survive and pump just like bitcoin or its better to stick to bitcoin ?
Well it really depends on you, and how do you plan on getting the money, if we are talking about trading I would recommended trading altcoins because their prices change quite freakently, so you will find a time to buy and sell easily, and trading multiple ones will surely get you profit, as for saving everyone will tell you to go with bitcoin, especially after how much some were able to get nearly 1700% profit just from saving it, in my opinion bitcoin trading is really hard since the price is constantly rising so when you sell you won't be able to debut again.
1552  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Will Change Everything on: December 14, 2017, 10:07:22 PM
The presence of bitcoin in the crypto world will change everything, how to do business how to transact the way of life and mindset of all user communities. This is a new breakthrough in the real world of crypto in the real world. crypto currency potentially so bitcoin increasingly attractive to investors because they will definitely give good luck to it.
Bitcoin is the mother of all crypto currencies. And Bitcoin has an ability to change even the way of thinking. It can change the way of business and transect the transaction. There is no involvement of any other party.  So when we invest in Bitcoin it’s a always give us handsome income with this we can complete our daily tasks. So it proves that Bitcoin is good connecter with our future and with the use of it we can made our future bright.
I agreee that bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies and it has and still revolutionizes the connomy of the world, but don't you think that it will never be used as a currency, i mean for quite some time now people have turned thier backs on the original idea of using bitcoin in thier every day lives and started using it as a type of investment, ask yourselfs the question are you going to spend bitcoin to buy bread and water, i know i won't, because you could be paying 1$ today it could become 10$ tomorow, bitcoin is beeing used like gold and not as a regular currency anymore.
1553  Economy / Economics / Re: What's your vision of cryptocurrencies ? on: December 14, 2017, 08:17:31 PM
Well first of all, you want truley use the nature of the cryptocurrencies and bitcoin specificaly to its full potential if you are just to hold them for 40 years without spending from them, because there is no garentured that on the long run bitcoin is going to have the same situation that it has been 5 years agao, and spending it always is a dumb thing to do as well because you are basicaly getting paid and spending money without profitng from it, the wisest thing to do is to be a midle man and do what most of the popole that have been using bitcoin for a long time do, and that is split you cap into tow, spend hlaf wisely and exchange it when the price goes up, and purely save the other half for waht is to come in the future, the thing is we can't by any mean predict what will happen in the future that is why doing this you won't regret saving or selling.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dumbest thing you did in Crypto as a noob on: December 14, 2017, 07:07:51 PM
Hi all! I got into cryto this same time last year, I wanna share with you the dumbest thing I did as a noob back then, and it still haunting me.

I created a new ethereum wallet last year I stocked it up with 25eth..am very poor at that time eth was 4$ each I think..that was the most I could afford, I was using an ethereum client node, unfortunately for me I wrote down my wallet address instead of the private key. Now m been haunted by that fact I could have been a millionaire in my country..#dumbestthingyoudidincrypt
We all have made bad dicesions when we first started to use cryptocurrency, and maybe for most of the poeple the biggest mistake they did is they did not save bitcoin up until now, or else they would have became crazy rich from it, i know i personnaly regret not saving my coins, i tried to collect as much bitcoin as i can in one year and then i sold them when the price reached 1000$, soon after that by a couple of months bitcoin started rising like crazy, and at that momnet i relized how impatient i was and i sould've at least saved some, it is not bad to make these mistakes as long as you learn from them and try to avoid mistakes made by others.
1555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH price going crazy on: December 14, 2017, 05:40:36 PM
Recently ETH got huge price increase. Is there any specific reason for that much of Increase ? Huh
Well it is no suprise for me that the price of the ethereum has increased, the few last weeks, and in my opinion i think that this increase in price comes after a long time waiting, and the recent development of projects that are using ethereum based tokens to promote their ideas and get kickstarters for them, and i am sure that in the near future we will see it grow even more, because unlike other altcoins ethereum has a good idea, i mean just look at how many ico project are being annonced on the forum.
1556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins for illegal activity on: December 14, 2017, 06:26:34 AM
From recent news in India it is heard that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..I know its a currency and it is also used as a normal money... but these can create a bad space in people's mind that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..so they will not use bitcoins... Conclusion is that BTC is also a currency which is having a high value in the market..and bitcoins must not be used in these illegal activity which can reduce its usage and value.
People use bitcoin for many different reasons, wether for good purpose or for bad ones, for all we know is that it does not affect the price in a direct way, because for whatever reason you use your bitcoin I can't know, we are unable to track whether the bitcoin you send is sent to a drug dealer or to charity, that is what is considered pravicy, the only way I could see this really affecting the price is the actions of governments, who are unable to control it and as a result they ban it and forbid people from exchanging it which can resault in investors abandoning it and thus killing it price and development.
1557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indonesian Government Banned Bitcoin on: December 13, 2017, 07:51:00 PM
I am Indonesian, after about 6 years living with bitcoin life, mining, trading and join bitcoin community, from mining and trading i got more income and others benefit but what  happen now? bank central of indonesia will ban bitcoin, Fucking stupid  Indonesian government

https://news.bitcoin.com/indonesia-media-urge-bitcoiners-to-cash-in-ahead-of-coming-crypto-ban/?utm_source=OneSignal%20Push&utm_medium=notification&utm_campaign=Push%20Notifications
from what i understood in the article is that they are afraid of bitcoin being used in the wrong way, as bitcoin provides total anonymity to the person usi,g and banks and goverments will not be able to track down the money entering or leaving the country or wether it is legit or not, many countries are having the same prespective but some of them are afraid of it so they ban it, like  maroco and indonisia and russia to name a few, and others relized that they are unable to stop it so they embrace it and try to use it for their advantages.
1558  Economy / Speculation / Re: ☃☃☃ The Most Important Question About Bitcoin ☃☃☃ on: December 13, 2017, 06:19:58 AM
Everyone is too focused on when to buy. Waiting for dips to enter into the market.

That is great, but the much more important question is:

When to sell bitcoin?

The timing on when to get out of bitcoin will be very hard to determine. What is your exit strategy? Will you risk everything and never cash out?
So the thing about selling bitcoin is that it is a one time only thing, because one you do there is no guarantee that you will get the chance to rebuy your coins again because of how the price is constantly going up, the wisest thing to do when it comes to selling bitcoin is to divide your income from it into tow portions, sell one when you reach a certain profit that you set once you started, and save the other for later times, that way you would be profiting both on the long term and the short term, but still you have to be smart about it and be patient and pick the right timing, so you can avoid losing your money.
1559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees on: December 12, 2017, 08:18:44 PM
Bitcoin network fee is at like $34 right now.
When will they go back down?
High fees and slower transactions have been and will always be a problem concerning the blockchain network, this is in my opinion a default of how bitcoin became difficult to mine, and since miners are the ones who verify transactions makes them slow, so a few numbers of miners meet with the huge number of transactions lead to pay high serve first, the higher the transaction fee the faster the transaction, and I am sure that this is one of the side effects of having bitcoin be so popular, and it will stay the same until mining becomes viable for anyone and not just for the big companies that have millions worth of mining hardware.
1560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Lucky moments during gambling? on: December 12, 2017, 03:43:57 PM
Well this happened with a friend of mine twice, he is just a one lucky fellow. He is one of those yolo gamblers. He mostly gambles on sports, anyway first time it happened was in South Africa vs Pakistan series where Pakistan was out of the match and they won in the last 2 overs, one by Junaid khan and another with saeed ajmal. His bet was around 2000 dollars on that match and Pakistan won that series. Same kind of stuff happened in the srilanka vs Pakistan t20 match, Pakistan won when they were i think 40/5.

He has won too many bets in these situations, my question is have anyone else experienced this kind of luck while they were gambling?
Well probably the luckiest momnet from when gambling is the timle that i almost lost all of my money, about a year ago i was watching a football match and i decided to place a bet on the score staying 0 to 0 and i diceided to put like a 1000$ at the last 2 min, the match seemed to be over as no teams were likely to score any goal, so i was confident that i was going to win the bet, so i sent the bitcoin and as soon as i hit confirm on the transaction one of the teams scored at that moment i saw my greed and my pride, my hopes and dreams all crushed as i worked so hard for the 1000$, i was so sad at that moment until i refreshed the gambling site for that match, and i found out that all bets were closed, and few moments later i recived back my moeny as my   bet didn't go because the transaction was not fast enough, i was so lucky at that day and i took it as a sign to never gamble again in my life.
