I think I'm gonna jump on those used dual xeon servers too...Tamis, they are quite good, I know a guy who has one. Expect a bit better performance vs your 3770k. Not half bad for 300usd at ebay.
Not bad indeed, but I live in France so the shipping is a killer :/ My 3770k just found two blocks in 7 hours To think what I was getting on ypool when I tried it for a few (lost) hours... just dust on this pool ! Yeah, I live in Argentina, remember? I'd only get one if a friend I got in Texas shipped it to me for less...using UPS is stupid when USPS is abysmally cheaper and just as good.

Thanks man! Yeah, found a seller...399 is quite sweet for those dual hexa core rigs.

Definitely...if it starts mining soon we'll get ROI real fast.

I think the coin is in good hands, thanks for everything you've done WM. Don't mind the haters...
I'll try the pool now...new miner is out.

Even one block per week is more than enough to compliment gpu mining.
Will this coin ever be mineable again to the common man?
It sure is...I am a common man with one cpu and solo with hp9 netted me one block the first day. I hope I can keep getting blocks eventually, but well, gotta be patient.

okay, thanks. It looks like I will take a loss. I just list 6 with HUB, Ill sell off one hub at a time I guess.
If you manage to sell them to people who live abroad, you might make a profit. People here for instance would pay way more than 50usd for those asics, despite them being useless. xD (Argentina)

Thanks guys! I've had this cpu collecting dust for some time now...didn't have a cpu cooler till I landed the h60 I'm using. It should pay for itself over time.

26 block erupters
Just ebay them man...and get 7950s.

Am I in the right forum!? Mine primecoin when not using the pc...profit. I'm thinking all full tower cases should fit that board. You can look into the Silverstone FT-02 too, it's great.

Will hp9 run as well on ubuntu 12.04 LTS as it does on ubuntu 13.04 ?
Should. I have a few of each and they run at about the same speed. Do you think it'd be faster if I installed ubuntu desktop in my system vs Win 7 64? (I mean if I compile it myself and optimize) I have an i7 3820...found 1 block in a day so far.

Great work!
Waiting for x64 windows version...
Well, you know, you can run 32-bit version on a 64-bit Windows just fine. of course! Just messin with ya...appreciate the work man. I'll fire it up now.
Ok, results with hp9 after a day: 1 block I7 3820 at stock...win 7.
Thanks for the input guys.
I'll keep an eye on your findings and experiment myself as well. I'm running default hp9 settings for a day and then I'll try overclocking higher.

Hello all, I am posting this news on behalf of rdebourbon (of ypool.net fame). He is in 'n00b jail' on bitcointalk and cannot post this message himself.I am very pleased to announce my new beta version can be found @ https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zij7j205ucsmj3n/9ZtyXFSWu0
This is an optimized version of Mumus 7.1 build with my sieve updates and a few other performance increases. Block rate should be as good as / better than Mumus. Use same as you would Mumus V7.1
Please send feedback via yPool chat/messages.
Normal disclaimers apply. Use at own risk. Blah blah..

I also use this build. Works very well. My i7 got its first block on it in > a month with it. Just switched over, but I can confirm an increased PPS of just under 10%. It is using a much lower Primorial Multiplier, and I got rid of a 2 million sieve value that I was manually putting in so it can use its autoadjust features. Will keep a close eye on it for value in YPool, but it looks like I'm finding many more shares so far, at least in the first few minutes. You think it's better than solo? I started solo mining with hp9 defaults today...I post back with my findings. I'll then try this miner to compare.
