161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can i use bitcoin lightening network to send bitcoin to an exchange platform on: December 27, 2020, 12:56:24 PM
I have gone through some articles pointing out how bitcoin lightening network works especially in processing transaction at faster speed and reduced transaction fee. As we all know that presently the transaction fee for sending bitcoin is very high and this is a great disadvantage especially if I am sending small amount of bitcoin to an exchange platform or I am purchasing a services (e.g Nord VPN subscription) with you few bucks in bitcoin. I am looking forward to see someone who can explain if it is possible to use bitcoin lightening network to send bitcoin to a CEX wallet address. I understand that lightening network use QR code instead of public key and both are provided by CEX
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is pointless if the BTC fees increases along with rise in BTC price! on: December 27, 2020, 12:40:11 PM
This is a real headache for now. When I want to sell my $20 for a local currency but discovered the transaction fee is 50%. I have seen people talking about bitcoin lightning network but I am yet to understand how this network works. There are many crypto wallet out there, both custodian and non custodian wallet but I am yet to know the reason why most of them (if not all) have not integrated the lightning network to their wallet maybe now that the transaction fee is getting high, there will be improvement in this area in order for the network to accommodate everyone both people making huge transaction and others with little coin transfer can do so with considerably low transaction fee.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Appeal to Everyone to secure your future on: December 27, 2020, 12:07:18 PM
And hopefully in the next ten years, people will come back here to share testimony on how this your post has changed their life positively. The courage to do this is what majority lacks  even though we have read numerous post in the past stating that you can never go wrong by investing in bitcoin. After the fall in the price of bitcoin in 2017/2018, a lot of people lost interest because everyone want quick means of getting big profit but only people who has been an enthusiast of the bitcoin since the day Satoshi launch this coin still have the courage to carry on. Do you know there are numerous things we waste money on, if we could at least channel 1% of our wasteful spending on buying bitcoin, it could be the best decision we have ever taken. My advice to everyone especially to those people that earn monthly salary. you can channel just 1% of your monthly salary to buy bitcoin
164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: suggestions request about trading on: December 26, 2020, 08:00:19 PM
First, I will advice before you go any further to consider using a demo account. I will suggest https://demo.hitbtc.com/ for you. Back to your questions. If you want to trade then you need to deposit your coin on an exchange and trade it with other coin. However, when you hold a coin for a long time, you may also make some profit if the price of the coin appreciate. There are 2 major fee that are being paid in any exchange. First, the trading fee and also the withdrawal fee. The withdrawal fee are most time fixed and are charge by the coin you are trying to withdraw. From my experience, Binance has the lowest withdrawal fee for Bitcoin. When you are trading, a trading fee is also charge but this is very small compare to the withdrawal fee. Sometime you can get lower trading fee when you intend to pay the fee with an utility token of the exchange platform
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get VIP Signals? on: December 26, 2020, 08:20:24 AM
I will advise you to stop looking for any VIP signal before you end up creating another post explaining how you are scammed by some people. No signal is 100% correct. It is just like some people that will be looking all over the internet for a fixed matches. If those that are regarded of VIP signal providers are so sure of their signals, they would have sold all they have and trade it on the coin they are providing a signal about. I have also experienced similar thing in the past when I still know little about how crypto trading works. Sometime you discovered that you are being used as a bait. They give you signal, you follow it and discovered you are buying at the peak price when they already bought before giving out the signal. A word is enough for the wise one.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: December 26, 2020, 07:56:09 AM
Here is some reason for high fees. Now a days lots of crypto project comes in the market legit scam both. And they are coming on Ethereum based network. Because it is in hype its easy to creat and less charge also no need to verify contract to start a project because it has delay verification option. That is why they are coming and they are trying to send their fund to the users fast soo that they can get users trust. That is why they are aggreed to spend few bucks as a fee. Here is the main point lots of project comes and every second lots of transaction has. Made and when this transaction creat its need some time ethereum based network thats why they make option that who pays high fee his transaction made first. For this reason people pay huge fee and fee becomes high.
Ethereum based projects are very common and ethereum blockchain is truly most explored network by new project due easy way of creating smart contract at cheaper price but that does not indicate that the gas fee is caused by this. Throughout the year, at least a new project will create a smart contract and deploy their token on the ethereum network but many of them do not have investors that interact with the network during token purchase. The reason for increase in gas fee is the congestion of the network which generally occurs when there is bull runs which make more people to continue to explore the platform thereby increase transaction rate. The gas fee become lower when the congestion is reduced
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the same? on: December 26, 2020, 07:33:46 AM
Honestly it is difficult to know the prospect of any project and by the way, "potential" in your context could mean so many things to different people. If you are talking about getting listed with good price you can guess the prospect by trying to explore where the token intend to be listed. Although many dev do not like to give answers to where the coin will be listed or they can lie some other that come forward to talk about listing in exchange platforms such as Latoken, p2b2p, probit etc are likely to end up with wash token price. I have seen some project recently in the past that had gone inactive for almost a year and comeback strong. https://the4thpillar.io/ with token ticker 'FOUR' is one of them. This mean it is difficult to tell the prospect of any token
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with crypto for government services on: December 25, 2020, 06:56:51 PM
I am not sure of that in my country except in some of the EU countries that are friendly to crypto. As soon as they start to accepting such services, It means crypto is a store of value for them and this same coin has been condemn by the central bank for being too risky and its high volatility. I would have love to see them using it in postal service order payment and other minor payment such as VAT but it might be too early. It seems many of them are just considering using the block chain technology for infrastructure development and upgrade without considering making token or implementation of the crypto payment system
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fake Telegram groups on: December 25, 2020, 04:02:45 PM
It is the part of the limitation of the telegram which the dev ought to have solved in new updates. programmers can easily extract contact list from any group and create or add them to a new group without their permissions. Anyone used to telegram especially those altcoin project you will understand this. Some users here on BTT even used to post such services on the marketplace section. However, it is individual responsibility to be able to differentiate this from other groups he/she joined and immediately report and delete such groups from their telegram app. If you are the type that are always get carried away in the name of free giveaway or airdrop, you might end up getting scammed and being blocked by the scam admin of such group.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is XRP worth buying in 2020, 2021, and beyond? on: December 24, 2020, 10:09:38 PM
There has been always a signal in the past that xrp is not a good coin to bank on for long term. Xrp is always surrounded by many negativity. I could remember then how they have been accused many time of market manipulation. XRP is purely a centralized coin which is subject to regulations just like many other stablecoin. If SEC decide to ban the coin tomorrow what do you think will befall the people around it. Probably the xrp market will go red, massive dump and it will get delisted in my exchange platform. I will advice you to stay away from such controversial coin. There are many coin out there with a lot of prospects that you can invest in
171  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Investment Platform on: December 24, 2020, 07:28:20 PM
Never keep coin on exchange for long time because of hacks or security bridge which might result in losing your cryto asset. Take for instance if you have purchased coin on cryptopia before the hack and you keep it there for long time. You probably will be regretting by now. Secondly, there is nothing bad in long term investment on crypto especially on bitcoin and ethereum which you can buy from centralized exchange such as binance but in case you are considering investing huge amount for long term gain then you should be ready to withdraw your coin and store on non custodian wallets. Hardware wallet is one of the safest means through which you can store your coin
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa's Bitcoin revolution is rapidly growing on: December 24, 2020, 05:21:00 PM
I would have love the part of Africa you are from. Africa is a large continent I will like to tell you that there are countries in Africa that are developing rapidly in term of technology advancement. Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa are always adopting technology rapidly. Gone are the days of liberty reserve, country such as Nigeria are very vast in adopting mainstream technology. This is a country with a lot of technocrats that has grown to develop payment processing services such as paystack, flutterwave and others. The same with Mpesa developed in Kenya. Cryptocurrency adoption in Africa is not strange this is because country like Nigeria with large population is known for exploring new technology especially those that can improve their standard of living
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Avoid US Based Exchanges Now? on: December 23, 2020, 07:32:00 AM
I am just worried if you understand those other centralized exchange rules you are intending to shift into. I know binance also have a dedicated exchange for US traders awhile ago. If you can complete the KYC of kraken and coinbase as they have asked, I do not see any reason to consider some other centralized exchange unless you are considering decentralized exchange because all CEX has same features in common. You will need to complete KYC in order to increase daily withdrawal limit on most CEX. I am not sure, but I suppose using coinbase and Kraken must have given you some additional opportunity over other CEX. US government know that huge crypto traders resides in the country and I do not think they will do anything against the interest of their citizens
174  Economy / Economics / Re: A reward system for Covid Free people.... on: December 21, 2020, 07:56:06 PM
I don't think people that stay free should be incentives. It is not as there are proven way to stay without contracting the virus but rather control measure to minimize the risk of contracting the virus. A lot of people that have the virus can't even explain how they get it. And by the way, in many countries millions of dollars are being used to safe peoples life so it is better to channel the Money in strengthen the health sector rather than rewarding people that stay safe. Already, there are palliative and survival funds for everyone both people that contract the virus and those that does not
175  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to advertise cryptocurrency exchange platform? on: December 21, 2020, 02:23:02 PM
If you are willing to advertise I will advise you do so on platform with a lot of crypto enthusiasts like bitcointalk. This is because this place will give you the niche you are looking for. You can do so by launching a signature campaign here on the forum. All you need to do is to look for a good campaign manager like Hhampuz to manage the campaign. Aside this, you can consider placing targeted ads on crypto market analysis platforms such as coinmarketcap, coingecko etc. There are still some ads publishing websites that allow crypto related ads you can explore that one as well. I don't think Google ads allow crypto related contents again except some to target countries such as Japan and USA. I wish you all the best
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Need some help to Understand Bounty campaign on: December 21, 2020, 12:48:34 PM
No bounty is safe even with members that are not newbie. The only campaigns that pay me and are listed this year (ETGF and YUSRA) were conducted by newbie while many others that I have participated and lead to scam or have not paid are handled by high rank members. The only reason why people always advise bounty hunters to avoid bounty that are handled by newbie is because 2 out of 5 will not even pay you not to talk of getting your token traded. Also it is easy for them because they do not have any reputation to protect. If their account get negative trust today, they can go ahead to open another account and get started with another campaign. Most high ranking member that manage campaign here have their reputation to protect so they will do much better for the bounty hunters
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can new crypto beat Eth in the market? on: December 21, 2020, 12:37:54 PM
Do you know that most project make use of the smart contract creation which is the part of the feature of the Ethereum blockchain. Alot of them still directly or indirectly contribute to the development of the Ethereum blockchain. In that case, you will realize it is very hard to see them beat ETH in term of technology or development. Some other project that develop their blockchain technology specifically target a particular area of needs and they are limited in term of technical usage. Also their development cannot be comparable to Ethereum blockchain. Take for instance, the WAVE you hardly read and update about the upcoming development so the rate at which people interact with such platforms are not much compare to Ethereum. Finally, Ethereum is regarded as one of the oldest altcoin and the rate at which it continuously improve its platform is an indication that new project will hardly beat ETH
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will DeFi's Future look like? on: December 21, 2020, 10:19:29 AM
I will rather tell you what they wont do. Very soon 90% of this DeFi project will be history because most of them are confused and overhyped with zero novelty. Kingswap is one of them (Uniswap copycat). They claim to be regulated decentralized finance. All of them offer similar features NFT staking, farming etc with zero knowledge of the best blockchain that suit what they intend to achieved. High transaction gas fee is the killer of DeFi projects that are majorly launched on Ethereum blockchain. Some of them have gone through unsuccessful movement to binance blockchain (BSC). ETGF is one of them. We all see what happen to Uniswap after farm reward was settled. Apart of the YFI that later produced a fork YFII I am yet to see a much relevant DeFi project with many potential that we can look forward to
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What 3 Exchange Platforms Would You Want To Launch On First? on: December 21, 2020, 09:52:25 AM
To be frank with you, the current bull run is an indication that bitcoin and Ethereum will remain the only long term profitable coin. Ever since the bearish market in 2018, 99% of the altcoin has not recover back to their ATH not to talk about setting a new record. From experience, no matter how much you are willing to spend on getting your token listed (if some exchange like Binance will even be willing to list) if you do not have a product that are frequently sourced after by users, your coin will just be like those regular pump and dump coin and with time become dead and get delisted from the market. However, if you have a solid project, the best to get listed are top exchange platform with lot of active traders such as binance, Bitfinex, Okex etc.
180  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: December 21, 2020, 08:18:49 AM
because of some elements like those reported in this article https://financialpost.com/financial-times/vaccines-for-sale-on-dark-web-as-criminals-target-pandemic-profits I am not very sure accessing COVID19 vaccine using crypto will be very realistic remember the approved vaccines are still at the early stage of distribution and according to the UNICEF some pharm companies are already targeting over 2 billion dosage by 2021 https://www.unicef.org/supply/covid-19-vaccine-market-dashboard. In most cases, vaccines like this are closely monitored by the government and are likely to be delivered directly to them and not make available to a common man on the street. All dosage will be take charge by the government who in many countries will be free for all to get vaccinated or make affordable just like some of the previous vaccines such as polio vaccines etc
