161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most entertaining Twitch gambling streamer? on: April 08, 2021, 05:53:29 PM
Hey, I wanted to make a thread here as I haven't seen one where people can share their favourite streams. I think watching twitch gambling streams is a repsonsible and great way to enjoy gambling without risking anything yourself.

I'd nominate myself  Grin Grin: https://www.twitch.tv/thegoobr
(click here for a clip of a funny rage quit)

Along with some other of my favourite casino streamers:

https://www.twitch.tv/FossyGFX
https://www.twitch.tv/AyeZee
https://www.twitch.tv/Syztmz

I'd rather watch minecraft streamers than support gambling stream content. Why? You can already expect that they could possibly fake their game reactions as there are almost no gambling streamers that streams without getting sponsors. Also, watching other people gamble on their streams isn't as entertaining as watching them gamble in personal. The hype isn't really intact and some streamers isn't really that good on making a constant hype and fun to their chat and viewers. For short, some lacks 'interaction' to their fans.
162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: soliton's Bitcoin Crosswords. on: April 08, 2021, 05:26:55 PM

nakamura12, I can   understand you and at the same time  assure you'll be not annoyed solving my puzzles. If you fill the blank space in crossword on its landing page and you answer is correct you will  get the green check sign next to clue relevant to filled word after you click on the cell from other field,   like this

Let me guess the 8 across - its hilariousandco!!! It is the easiest among the others as we already know the S lol.

This game is fun tho. Soon if I could have enough time I might create a simple web app that could be a crossword game. It's a great idea tho! Sounds a lot of fun to play. Will try finishing this on my spare time  Grin Also, if you have already tons of crossword puzzles, I'll send you a PM so I will integrate it to an app.
163  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Stock shares for crypto? on: April 08, 2021, 05:04:25 PM
Hello everyone,

I wonder is there a reliable service through which it is possible to directly buy stock shares for crypto?

Thanks

There was no market that allows people or any users to buy stocks with cryptocurrencies. Even e-toro only allows users to buy stock shares with Fiat coins. Why? Stock Market and Crypto market is different. you cannot see a pair in stock market that is like GME/BTC or ETH/GME. Stock Market only revolves on money that can be withdrew in banks and be used physically. While crypto, as we all know, is just digital currency/asset. Therefore, no physical company can be taxed nor be allowed to operate if they use crypto as their main stock share currency as it is only digital and volatile.
164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read whale alerts? on: April 08, 2021, 04:23:30 PM
Hello guys,

When I see a Whale Alert on twitter, the replies following a given alert looks like going on the opposite direction of what I am interpreting on that alert.

For example, I see an alert like:

"🚨 500 BTC transferred from unknown wallet to Coinbase"

My interpretation of this, is that this whale is expecting the price to go up, so its moving a part of their BTC into an exchange to start trading leveraging that capital.

But, the comments I read on the style "game over" or "time to move to ETH" suggest the opposite.

How do you guys read the Whale Alert tweets?

Thanks!

The logic is simple (based on my own experience).

BULLISH ALERTS
If whales transferred any coin from either unknown wallet or exchanges onto wallet.
If whales transferred huge USDT to exchanges

BEARISH ALERTS
If whales transferred any coin from wallet to exchanges

Those were just my speculation and I don't really end up getting 100% right on my predictions yet it is definitely worth to note.
165  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: News aggregator for early stage crypto projects on: April 08, 2021, 03:24:08 PM
~

Where are the data you preview came from? I've searched a lot of recently successful crypto projects and didn't found those in your platform. Also, I would suggest that you create 3 main categories: Ethereum, Polkadot, Binance Smart Chain -- to let people see all of the projects based on the system they prefer. Some might prefer BSC over Eth network, whilst some preferred Polkadot network over BSC. I would also want to suggest a card view, it is way better so see results be listed by-cards. Overall, the idea is great, yet you can improve more on the design aspect + the variety of results you can show.

BTW, sent you a PM for some offers.
166  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Film Festival on: April 08, 2021, 03:02:00 PM
Also worth mentioning that it is difficult to do a crypto related film as a main topic of the film and sometimes the ideas that will work have something to do with bitcoin being used in something negative. Mon ey can be a center of the story, take Ozark for example or Money Heist or the Italian Job, most of heist movies have the money as a center of the story.

Lol those movies doesn't uses Money as their main topic and character. It all revolves on the action and how the main characters blend and portray the plot of the story. Hence, it's not 'center' per se, but rather a side tool as the story progress.

We will add these ideas to the CryptoFilmamking Ideas Section, as soon as it will be ready on the Festival website.

Can others participate on the ideas as well? Like those who doesn't really onto Filmmaking, yet proficient in story making. If it was so, then it might help covering the loopholes of this film festival's idea as some people's idea can be as brilliant as 3 ideas combined.
167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginners dream world. on: April 07, 2021, 09:04:13 PM
With the rise in the cryptocurrency market so many adoption have been made, some are institutional adoption and secondly the individual adoption.
But will like to focus on individual adoption due to the fact that larg number are coming into cryptocurrency because they saw it as an investment for get rich quick,  while few others have the knowledge of cryptocurrency user case, in all dont get greedy use what will not hurt you to lose. BTC is not a get rich quick scheme it's a journey.

Self-discipline is what matters. Being greedy can be helpful as well, as some people are too scared to take risks hence when they tried to be greedy, they would then realize that it lead them to take a leap of faith that they were afraid of. I, myself, let the greed to run everytime I've already researched onto some projects to be invested or some coins to buy, as most people tend to see fear as their friend and greed as their mortal enemy.

Yes, beginners's common mistakes are looking way forward on profits, without even considering to take things slow and safe. Hence, once he/she is disciplined enough, all of those greed and fear could be his friend, his tool, and his crypto journey companion.
168  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Possible scam] NCAT Token on: April 07, 2021, 08:37:39 PM
~

If a project requires holding their coin without even having a great token value then it can already be labeled as scam. Most scammers uses the idea of holding-to-earn just to lure people on waiting for certain period of time to let the scammers have an ample time in pulling all the investments. Also, their platform is already irresponsive hence I cannot really tell if their platform alone is worth something or not.
169  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MATUTO] MYSQL DATABASE at merit challenge. on: April 07, 2021, 08:11:05 PM
Napansin ko na wala din gaanong susubok ng mga ganitong kaadvance ng challenges dahil: Una, kelangan ng PC/Laptop para makapag run ng XAMPP at basic knowledge about sa mismong app na ito (hindi pwedeng ipadownload lang natin kasi yung iba pwedeng madownload nila eh may backdoor ang iiinstall nilang app); Ikalawa, knowing XAMPP and MySQL database wouldn't really be helpful kasi more on back-end database connection lang ito compared if the challenges would require just a simple thinking gaya nung ibang challenges mong related sa Discrete Mathematics. Lastly, Relational Database kadalasan ang gamit ng MySQL -- which is way complicated on both developers and kahit simpleng readers.

Good job sa onting knowledge about MySQL databases, pero kung gusto mo din newbie friendly and modern, try studying Document-oriented databases (PostgresQL or MongoDB). Ayon, aabangan ko magiging challenge mo doon!  Grin Grin
170  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: day trading crypto in the United States Vs. the IRS on: April 07, 2021, 07:44:30 PM
~

AFAIK you can just file monthly taxes that would be based on your monthly profits. Example, you trade with initial capital of 1,000USD on April 1, and after one month you then have 13,000USD, your monthly tax would only deduct on 12,000USD leaving your capital untouched. Even if you lost any amount on your overall trading in a month, that wouldn't count nor affect your profits for over a month.

Also, if your country really is that strict on taxes even on online crypto profits, then you might find your source of income be the same as having a physical job. Some countries counts crypto trading as "freelancing", as they don't have enough studies and laws that focuses on tax on any crypto related income generation.
171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not hide your hard feelings about trading; share the experiences on: April 07, 2021, 07:17:57 PM
Most newbies in the crypto currency space who are just learning trading are most times only fed with the profit side of crypto; once such newbie experience loss on trades; they get disappointed. The best thing while teaching newbies about trading is to educate them about the profits and loss side; so that when they are in profit they are grateful; when they are in loss; they know they will make the funds back.

What suggestions do you have ? how do you guide your newbie traders under your tutorship? do explain below lets learn.

Why not just teach newbies on how to manage risks effectively right before letting them engage onto crypto and trading in general? Regardless of having no profit or even having a huge luck of gaining constant profit, time will come that once a newbie never applied nor learned risk management, all of his progress could just circle around and go back to square one. It isn't a matter of "hiding" one's feelings. It is about not letting yourself experience such feelings just by a simple management of risks on your trades.
172  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Possible ATH ng isang coin, paano malaman? on: April 07, 2021, 06:51:22 PM
POSSIBLE PRICE = 13,867,408,541 / 1,245,666,867

POSSIBLE PRICE = 11.13 USD

173  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Film Festival on: April 07, 2021, 06:17:07 PM
Just came up with a film idea: where a man struggles in trading as he tried to use most of his money onto crypto and found himself be lost on his journey forward -- more specifically a mental awareness movie with risks and effects that could arise in engaging with crypto and trading it.

But still, there can be loopholes on judging side, as crypto itself can be way vague, and so do film genres. I don't know if even creating a short film related to crypto would even have a great impact nor lure just simple audiences to watch it, because in the end it is just an implicit way of promoting crypto. It is like creating a movie about money, which was never been a topic of a movie but only a tool to progress a scene.
174  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Experience with USD, Euro, Yuan, Yen on: April 06, 2021, 07:02:41 PM

Bitfinex offers USD, Euro, Yuan, Yen. Nakapag-cashout nko via international wire transfer, pero yung bank dito sa pinas asking more and more questions if san galing ang money, pano ako nagka btc and etc. Planning to set-up an account sa other bank and planning naetry yung other international currency. Nakapagtry nadin ba kayo magcashout using international currency maliban sa USD?

Union Bank is working OK for me sa ngayon pero need lang back-up na bank just incase gipitin nila ako. I tried business  account at security bank pero wala.

Having a bank account that would have international wire transfers would be a real hassle especially kung mga bangko pa sa pilipinas ang pagwiwithdrawhan mo.

As much as possible, gamitin mo nalan gang native way to withdraw. My way is to: Use coins.ph (XRP) (tipid sa fees) > coins.ph (PHP) > gcash then iba't ibang mode of withdrawal ang gamitin mo.
175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Facebook's 533M accounts leaked online and what does it mean for crypto users on: April 06, 2021, 06:36:07 PM
Don't use social media platforms. Apply it to all social media platforms, not restrict to Facebook.  Smiley

If you use Facebook
  • Don't upload your personal images
  • Don't talk about bitcoin, cryptocurrency on your Facebook (in status, shares, etc.)
  • Don't upload any screenshot of your portfolio, past trades, balance, etc.

Beyond Facebook, general advice for crypto enthusiasts
  • Use non-custodial wallets and don't store your cryptocurrency on exchanges longer than what you need
  • Don't store backup of your wallet file, private key, mnemonic seed, password on any online services. Store them off-line

Facebook is already an effective medium for online social interactions, which then also is helpful for gaining both personal popularity and project engagements. Regardless of being used personally or exclusive for a certain reason, Social Media apps is a great tool to both learn and share ideas. Hence, many people, even crypto enthusiasts, would still use it.

Also, there are accounts on social media websites that are open to public. Meaning, people can view their personal information due to their privacy not being modified well. This can easily be prevented by simply making your account private and only visible to people you are adding first. This info leaks often were from scraped data. Therefore, even if your data is leaked, chances of being really hacked with your financial accounts and personal social media credentials is little, as long the security on your behalf is strong.
176  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Token on: April 06, 2021, 06:09:34 PM
The forum must create it's native token and distribute them to members based on their activities.
Tokens must be transferable among forum members but should not be listed on any exchange.

Although the ticker btt is already taken, we can have btf that stands for bitcointalk forum.
Any crypto project planning to run their airdrop or bounty campaign must buy these tokens first from forum. This will give forum another stream of revenue generation.
This will also prevent scam projects from running bounty and running away without paying.

This is an idea that all members, that already gone through tons of crypto events, would be pissed off. Why? Tokenizing a reputable forum would only lure shitposters and spammers here. Also, this forum is created mainly for the Bitcoin itself, hence Bitcoin alone is the token that was arose from the forum. You should even see that Bitcoin is the most successful crypto that isn't really a token for something. Hence, adding a more complex system of tokens would only deal a huge work for devs yet won't really help the forum itself.
177  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do we help signature campaigns generate fund to pay its participants on: April 06, 2021, 05:42:59 PM
The wages we receiving each week alone shouldn't be our major motivation. Let's make trends that attract views and responses by so doing this would promote our signatory. Making excessive research before posting would sharpen our posts and make them worth the time of the viewers

Apparently, many projects often get many views and engagements the same on creating a paid signature campaign and creating a social media campaign. The 'payment' per se wouldn't really matter once you've reached years of posting in this forum as it would only be your little bonus, therefore I don't know how it is labeled to be a 'motivation'.

Also, regardless of how long your and fruitful your post are, you can still help any projects generate engagements. It is just that, most paid campaigns prefer paying those that creates effort. But still, even if you aren't onto a campaign, it is free to help promote projects.

179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The self exclusion scheme, anyone have any experience regarding that ? on: April 06, 2021, 04:53:46 PM
Apparently due to the surge in gambling problems, there also have been surge in more and more people working towards registration for GamStop. There is a 21% increase in the same.
https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/apr/05/number-of-gamblers-trying-to-block-themselves-online-surges

What I want to talk about :
1. Is this something that really works ?
2. How did this actually sends a signal regarding the education system in place for the gamblers being implemented in almost every good gambling website ( Gamcare etc..)

I have my serious doubts about the whole system, if it would work or no. Since at the end of the day we have multiple electronic devices therefore excluding from one won't work.

But I think this is actually a good stat since this means the education regarding the gambling is really working. Plus people are engaging in positive feedbacks.

Self exclusion in general is effective. A simple action of provocation for someone to stop a simple addiction can be a useful tool and motivation to spark some change. I myself doesn't really rely on such system yet I blocked my own devices to access certain websites (via IP blocking on WIFI) as a little act of self-exclusion, and it somehow helps in addiction problems like this one.
180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are some good crypto trading apps on Android? on: April 06, 2021, 03:47:35 PM
Most of people in here are actually using Binance or Kucoin, as both have great user interfaces hence users have great trading experiences. I would also suggest the same yet preferred Binance as they have tons of programs and competitions for traders and their overall volume is already huge which is good for Futures trading and scalping. Also, they do have widgets now so you can trade easily yet the positions couldn't be modified onto your likes (on widgets alone).

MXC is also a notable trading platform. Some coins lists on small trading platforms like MXC before being considered to be listed on Binance.
