1041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [INQUIRY] Blockchain related major in Computer Engineering on: September 28, 2019, 02:44:21 PM
I can't vouch personally for your second statement, but I'd agree that the first part is true--I wish I'd studied more math and some cryptography in college.  Too bad that bitcoin's introduction was still years away when I graduated, and I don't even think my school offered anything in cryptography, nor was I interested in it at the time.
Honestly, mathematics is the most difficult subject for me right now especially the college algebra calculus LOL Grin. I also enjoy and excel in one of our major subject which is Computer Programming Logic and Design and I felt like I needed to study more and acquire knowledge since it is one of the very basic skill we need to master as a Computer Engineer.
Regardless of how much of either one OP studies, I bet he'll have an excellent understanding of blockchain tech if he continues his course in computer engineering.
Can I take this as a compliment? Grin THANKS it means a lot to me.
Even if they don't, a degree in computer engineering is useful in itself--and that's an understatement.  And if OP is smart enough to graduate, I've no doubt he'll be smart enough to educate himself in what he wants to learn about with regard to blockchain tech.
Thanks for reassuring me that I have chosen a good course that can impact my entire life Smiley I'll make this as a motivation to study more regarding blockchain technology. Thanks for the answer btw!
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [INQUIRY] Blockchain related major in Computer Engineering on: September 28, 2019, 01:46:17 PM
cryptography/encryption is key
everything else about blockchain is childs play/pre college level stuff
I just dont know if encyption and cryptography stuff are included in our curriculum, but I bet that software development who specializes programming and information system are related to blockchain technology. Network administration is also close enough when it comes to smart contracts I think.
Hey
I was doing CSE too and unfortunately we didn't have a major in blockchain and cryptocurrencies, you should understand that it might depend where you live , the government opportunities might be scarce if you live in a area which doesn't support it .
If you are in a area which is open minded and the opportunities are available you could lead a good life , before doing anything think about placements first ..

Fortunately, the use of bitcoin is legal here in our country but I don't think so that they are focusing on the use of blockchain technology. The only thing I see is that banks are taking advantage of blockchain technology when it comes to remittances and online money transfers.
1043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [INQUIRY] Blockchain related major in Computer Engineering on: September 28, 2019, 09:59:33 AM
Good Day Folks! Smiley

I have been inactive for quite a few months due to the pressure and great deal of workload in academics. I am now a Freshman Student of Computer Engineering in our local University and I just got curious what major in Computer Engineering should I take wherein the development of blockhain technology is included.

I am just fascinated how blockchain works when it comes to financial industry. Blockchain technology is advancing at a very fast pace and most of the different sectors that makes up the society are utilizing the perks of the said technology.

The major subjects offered in Computer Engineering in our local University are as follows:

Machine Learning
Software Development
Technopreneurship
Embedded System
Network Administration
Signal Processing
Operating System
Information Systems
Telecommunications
Signal Processing
Control Systems and Instrumentation

Also, I am interested when it comes to financial area. I would like to combine my little knowledge when it comes to finance and my course! Cheesy
1044  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: September 28, 2019, 08:00:33 AM
This is big question for this campaign. As all we know from previous signature campaign, Yobit has not included local post. But I red some topic, this time it is valid for this one.

yahoo62278 may answer this question.

I think because posts in the Russian local section are not taken into signa campaign.

upd... Sorry, came the news that the posting in local Russian section will be considered for the reward payment.

Some user stated posting in local section will be considered. But in his/her case, only Russian Section is counted, I just don't know if other local section will be considered. Can they add some more information in which sections we can post from. Just to lessen the vagueness of the campaign signature. Smiley

Posting in Serious Discussion prohibits the user to show off their signature. Well, if you are not a spammer you are most likely to engage in a more serious topics.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO will have a huge impact on: December 02, 2018, 11:55:02 AM
ICO is changing a lot. and how it will be in a year while you can only guess. probably not correct to make an analogy with the projects that were last year.
Agreed! ICO's are changing a lot especially this year. I have seen a lot of projects which applies blockchain technology even if it doesn't need to. They are using the blockchain technology to improvise the legibility of their product in order for them to get a lot of money from these ignorant investors.

I dont think that ICO will make a huge impact in the cryptospace today. Probably existing platforms is much better than ICO's
1046  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Physical Goods (ARTWORKS) on: December 02, 2018, 11:05:32 AM
first, it's quite hard to create a decent piece of art appealing to the audience. If you can do this, go for it!
Thanks for the compliment buddy Cheesy

I second the opinion above that you need to go to the specially designed thread to promote yourself.
and last but not least, you could both educate yourself using google and advice or cooperate with some of the brands or platforms engaged in auction/selling activities.
Luck.
I think a proper section for my Selling thread is needed to collect more possible clients. I am looking for a platform who accept cryptocurrencies for their products and services. Unfortunately, this is the only forum where I can attract client who can pay crypto. Cheesy

How long I've wished this topic to come Smiley
Didn't find any pieces of art there. Looks like it was a one-time event, but will check it from time to time
I have seen a lot of similar threads, look into the auction and collectibles section.

So she told me the other day how she googled the platforms and one of them was exactly ModulTrade one.
Can you tell me more about ModulTrade?,
1047  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Btcltcdigger Managed Lots Fraud bounty on: December 02, 2018, 10:45:43 AM
1) Some ICO's don't want to do it
Isn't it obvious that if the team do not allowed their tokens to be escrowed, then maybe it is a potential scam in the end. Also, it is possible that you and your bounty hunters will not get paid by the end of the ICO.

2) Some ICO's can't do it as the tokens will be released on TGE
Is it hard to find those types of ICO's who's tokens can be released before Token Generation EVent?

3) There's hardly any trustworthy escrow services out there
Are you not able to escrow it yourself? There are some BM's who can do that. It's just a way to protect yourself. Anyways it's just a suggestion Smiley
1048  Other / Meta / Re: The beginner and help section is losing great contributors on: December 02, 2018, 10:28:22 AM
You aren't spamming if you are making meaningful posts.  Also. it's useful if newcomers to the world of crypto reply - they can add a different perspective to the replies.

Actually I am pertaining to a reply with the same concept but in a different choices of words to construct the sentence, I feel that I am stealing someone else's works.

Another problem is that very often people with a good technical knowledge forget that new members may not know the basics. If you don't understand one simple basic concept, it can be difficult to take advantage of the reply.
I often see a lot of them especially in the Alts Section and Bitcoin Discussion, it's obvious that they are just posting for their bounties Roll Eyes. Some reply with the most common answer where everyone knows and it seems that they are just repeating it. Maybe it should be added as one of the things to report to the moderators (I think its from welsh thread)
1049  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Other than coins.ph .. do you know any exchanger to change btc to pesos on: November 28, 2018, 05:09:36 AM

Why are we going to settle with the traditional exchange if there is an entity who's service is to convert fiat to currency or vice versa. Meron din naman coinspro and this is our own Philippine Crypto Exchange. Smiley
1050  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Simpleng tips para maiwasan ang plagiarism. on: November 27, 2018, 04:29:18 AM
For the sake of few cents, they will do whatever it takes to earn money. They will always be tempted to plagiarize just to earn a post count.

Just like Daboy_Lyle said, I am encouraging everyone to check those post that seems suspicious. Karamihan sa mga ganyan eh yung mga lengty post like 'How to Guides', sa mga nagmemerit check the quality if it is copied or not.

May mga gumagamit din ng spinbot, so beware before meriting those posts. Report them immediately
1051  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Win your ticket for the Blockchain Philippines Conference, Dec 6 on: November 27, 2018, 04:04:40 AM

Sa aking tantya, di makakabuti sa amin na mga members ng forum na to na sumali sa contest na to at gawin yung requirements. I am not sure but that can be against the rule here. I am then suggesting to OP to change the requirements so there can be responses here. An event like this can be helping the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector here in the Philippines though am suggesting that maybe there should be another bracket for simple guys like me with lower ticket prices.
I think changing the rules over the event would be very impossible, napakalaking entity niyan. Masyado din na overpriced yung ticket, not all filipinos can afford such a high price ticket lalo na bear market pa. PHP 5k-10k is too much for just a conference.
1052  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: MAG-INGAT SA BAGONG MODUS NG MGA SCAMMER SA BOUNTY on: November 26, 2018, 11:28:13 PM
I have joined a lot of his campaign and it turns out to be a scam in the end. Pero ngayon tinitingnan ko na yung mga campaign na dinedeployed niya, ang dami nang negativr info sa kanya sa Scam Accusation.

As per the duplication of your username and other details, siguro mas okay kung ilalagay mo din yung ETH address mo sa profile mo. Hindi din required yung report sa mismong bounty thread. I also joined foresting too pero wala naman nangyaring duplication.

Check mo yung status mo palagi every week, then mag complain ka din sa tg nila, may nga katulong naman dun sa btcltcdigger.
1053  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Win your ticket for the Blockchain Philippines Conference, Dec 6 on: November 26, 2018, 11:11:27 PM
Medyo may kamahalan pala yung mga ganitong type ng event, for some people malaki na din and around $100 - 260 na kumikita lang nang maliit sa crypto.

But it is good to see that there are lots of Filipino people who are involved in this international group. Baka sa susunod kaya nang makapunta sa mga ganyan event..

Another thing is, masyadong urgent yung announcement. Wlaang time makapag budget lol Grin
1054  Other / Meta / Re: The beginner and help section is losing great contributors on: November 25, 2018, 12:08:49 PM
I have seen that the Beginners and Help is improving, I have seen a lot of High rank members who answers different question regarding crypto and the forum itself.

Sometimes I feel not to post anymore in that section because after a few minutes there is a high rank member who answers the question immediately. Dont want to spam Smiley

Aside from Beginner's & Help, there is google who can answer your queries.

Ps: I have seen a lot of active Legendaries lately.
1055  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Btcltcdigger Managed Lots Fraud bounty on: November 25, 2018, 11:37:19 AM
@btcltcdigger

Why don't you use escrow to avoid these types of accusation who can give you a negative image from these bounty hunter spambies? But the thing is, it would be difficult to convince the team members to use to escrow.

Maybe few good quality ICO's are enough.
1056  Economy / Economics / Re: Markets See Massive Sell-Off, Bitcoin Dips Below $5,600 for the First Time 2018 on: November 23, 2018, 11:29:12 AM

Sold the rest of my BTC too. Maybe I;d be back if BTC price goes more than $20k again, this is tragedy anymore lol.

Whether Bakkt or ETF can raise the price up again, I may have to wait til BTC goes more than substantial amount other wise its just going to be a playing field for the financial firms to make money out of thin air.
What if you cannot buyback those bitcoins? I means its hard to sell at a loss and buy at the rate of $20k to just prove that your money is in a safe position.

I would regret making that decision. LOL
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see a future with one cryptocurrency or thousands? on: November 23, 2018, 11:07:21 AM
There are lots of cryptocurrencies out there with different solutions to the problems we are facing right now, some of them are just imitating the use of the old one, most of the newly born token pretends that they can solve a particular problem using their product or services to take advantage of the hype given by the ICO's.

Only few crypto with real and attainable use will survive.
1058  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Physical Goods (ARTWORKS) on: November 22, 2018, 02:53:57 AM
Hmm. aren't you looking for this? it covers the basic stuff you need to know. Auctions - Guidelines and Tips!.
Also, better post it in collectibles, just add an "[AUCTION]" tag, you'll get more views there.

Thank you for the reply, it seems that no one is interested in this type of question. I will follow your tips. Thank you so much

There's lots of templates on google which you can use, just go search for it.

Lol' I forgot to search it on google. Thank you Grin
1059  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bounty hunting - Paraan sa ligtas at tamang pagpili ng lalahukan. on: November 22, 2018, 02:24:24 AM
Amazix

If you don't mind, I just want to warn everyone that Amazix has a lot of scam accusation.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4905927.0
https://steemit.com/amazix/@catalogico.com/attention-bounty-hunters-amazix-is-scam
Tokensuite

Additionally, may mga nasalihan din akong bounty sa tokensuite but unfortunately it turns out to be scam. Actually it's my fault kasi hindi talaga ako nag research totally sa project or the ICO.
Arteezy.rtx (pinaka approachable para sa akin)

Yep, he is a good bounty manager, but remember that not all of his bounties are good are paying.
btcldigger

So far may mga scam din na mga ICO's ang nahandle niya iilan lang din yung successful.
(kung may idadagdag kayo, maari lamang na mag comment kayo para ma iupdate ko pa itong post ko at madami pa tayong matulungan na mga hunters.)

Actually not all of them guarantees successful projects, most of them handles a failed ICO's. Secondly, hindi din tama na isisi sa kanila kapag na scam tayo, we voluntarily join their project that why we should not blame them if the projects turns out to be a scam, all of us are in the same boat. Educate yourselves in finding good ICO's to manage the risks to be scammed.

Anyways yung kababayan natin na si julerz idagdag mo sa list ng mga reputable BM, he is ecrowing the tokens allocated in bounties which is great.
1060  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Kaalaman para maiwasan ang scam ICO (Para sa pinoy Hunter)(Translated Topic) on: November 22, 2018, 01:59:37 AM
Why most of people is always taking on how to avoid scam? It seems like everyone is afraid right?  What if we make a post which is "How to find legitimate ICOs" which will help everyone to join a legit ICO and especially to avoid scam. When someone make that topic I guess he/she will be a good forum distributor of good and useful ideas.
If we are talking about how to find a good ICO's then it is understood that good ICO's have the absence of the characteristics of fake ICO's. You can find good ICO's if you know all the corners of a fake ICO's or bounty.
