1161  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Bounty Hunters Pinoy Meetups? on: August 15, 2018, 02:38:54 PM
Actually there is nothing wrong about conducting/ initiating gathering event as long as you know each other, that is just to avoid unecessary events in your crypto life.
we'll be sharing ideas, experiences and tips para sa mga newbies at sa mga gustong sumubok pasukin ang cryptocurrency?
This can be done through social media, bakit pa mag-aatubili na mag meet up kung kaya naman na sa chat mag share ng knowledge. We can educate ourselves through virtual communication since we are in a information era. Sharing knowledge about crypto is not that difficult compare to sharing knowledge that needs a practical application.
1162  Other / Meta / Re: A needed feature for Bitcointalk on: August 14, 2018, 08:17:41 AM
Notification from the registered email in my account is enough for me. The only thing is if you haven't opened the email notification once there will be no follow up email that says "A reply has been posted to a topic you are watching by xxxxxx" I understand that we are not in the social media but its lazy to check all the replies or mention manually.  Huh
1163  Local / Pilipinas / Re: World Bank mag-iisyu na ng kauna-unahang blockchain bond on: August 14, 2018, 08:03:18 AM
It looks like we are really in a digital era and somehow the world is on the move when it comes to the adaptation of blockchain technology even though it is still in its infancy stage. We do really have so many things to work on to make these things reach their maximum potential in the economy. It is no surprise that the time will come there will be no issuance of papermoney.
1164  Other / Meta / Re: 2 suggestions to eliminate bumping services & the spam being encouraged in Anns on: August 12, 2018, 11:09:51 AM
  • Merits shouldn't awarded to the post made on ANN threads.
I have seen some replies made in ANN threads which I think is very useful for their community. Sometimes ANN threads are used for communication and sharing of ideas to make their project become more effective in the near future since they do not have a telegram community. Giving merits should be allowed in all section. It is easy to determine if the user is abusing the merit system right? Merits are for all people whose post are useful no matter where/ what section he/she posted.
  • Posts in the ANN threads should not counted as an activity.
Agreed, bots will be useless when it comes to farming activity. 1 merit requirement would be a perfect match for this.
  • Introduce earned Merit requirement for starting a thread in ANN section.( Most members wouldn't risk their reputation to just get few ICO tokens which can create out of thin air, so my believe is they will moderate the thread that he/she started)
I think this would be better requirement when it comes to bounty hunting to ensure that the bounty participants are not spamming and does not create shit posts. Payment for making ANN threads is enough I think, this way we can reduce the number of scammy ICO's. Grin
1165  Other / Meta / Re: Woke up and hired bunches of shitposters on: August 12, 2018, 01:28:36 AM
These are just bot? right
This kind of spamming activity will never stopped if theymos does not do anything about our forum. 1 merit requirement would be enough to lessen this kinds of shitposting or maybe posting shits.
1166  Other / Meta / Re: 95% redundant posts. Research bitcoin before posting on: August 12, 2018, 01:11:28 AM
Well, it is simply because we are in a commercialized forum making people greedy to post in order to earn a few pennies. That is why lots of repetitive posts are coming from Jr. Member which I think is an alt account and or bot.

Aside from the sugeestions of hilariousetc, If you want to help the forum maintain it's quality then you should know how to use the report button effectively, this way we can reduce the amount of shitpost created each day. It can be a frustrating work but it can be a remedy for some time.
1167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to recognize scam on: August 10, 2018, 08:09:57 AM
It is not just about having fake teams, sometimes we can say that an ICO is a scam project when there is no showcasing of their team behind their promising project. The perfect example of this ICO is Hexcash, you can also visit their website.

Secondly, misspelled word/ phrases inside the whitepaper can be considered also as a sign of potential scam project or ICO. That is why I am impressed by those people who are giving enough time to read the entire whitepaper. It may give you some advantage when deciding in participating ICO as well as their bounties.
1168  Other / Meta / Re: High amounts of newbie/sockuppet spam in thread on: August 10, 2018, 07:21:02 AM
Why not implement the 1 or 2 merit requirement in order to reach Jr. Member. I am sure that these kinds of spamming activity will greatly reduce, reporting and nuking accounts regularly can be a pain in the ass. If 1 merit requirement will take time for it to be implemented why not create an alternative general rule that Members above only can join a Bounty Roll Eyes
1169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Roadmap for an airdrop start in crypto (step by step) on: August 10, 2018, 04:31:46 AM
Despite of how many airdrops you joined per year there is always a greater chance that the tokens you will receive has no value. You can just earn $40-$50 dollars with only 50-70 transaction in your ERC-20 Wallet which I think is very small. Sometimes the price value of the token you receive is much smaller than the needed gas for transferring the token to an exchange.

I think selfdrop is better than doing airdrop as it may give you a large quantity of token compare to the distribution alotted in airdrop.
1170  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Disappointed and Guilty [Shitposters] on: August 09, 2018, 04:53:20 AM
Great, I am now seeing the improvement of other members here and they are now realizing the importance of merit system and the true essence of having this kind of forum.

As for you, you cannot rank up due to your current status. It is not necessary to create such a very high quality guide such as "how to" in order to receive merits. Useful replies are enough considering that it really makes sense.

Do not spam megathreads and avoid putting yourself in pressure just to complete the daily quota post. Be honest when making replies to show tha natural conversation of having a forum. We are here for knowledge. Bounties are just an extra source of income. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT
1171  Other / Meta / Re: what is actually our mission in the bitcointalk forum on: August 09, 2018, 12:49:31 AM
I think this will become a megathread similar to the posts posted in Bitcoin and Alternate Section as it is asking opinions from other members.

As of now the mission of this forum is to make shitposter, copy paster, scammers and the people who plagiarize realize their shittydoings in this forum just to bleed all the bounties they encounter by banning and giving them negative trusts.

Secondly, it will also help other companies who conduct ICO's to gather community members for their product.

Well this forum really helps when it comes to learning the language of cryptocurrency but sadly most of the member are here for completing their bounty task to be able to get their payments resulting in a dirty forum.
1172  Local / Pilipinas / Re: It's a bear market. Are you ready to go full time? Ano ang magandang gawin? on: August 09, 2018, 12:22:57 AM
No, it is very risky to sacrifice your current job just to earn in a upcoming bear market because we cannot easily predict the status of each and every cryptocurrency. However, it also depends on your trading or skill levels to maximize the amount of profit you can earn when doing trades.

Trading, bounty hunting gawin na lang natin itong past time if you have a decent job or just looking for an extra money for your expenses.
1173  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Tanggap ba o hindi? on: August 08, 2018, 02:54:08 PM
As of now, there is still no update regarding the application of crwth as a merit source for our local board. I am sure that crwth will be going to give us an update if he/she is accepted or not. Or just maybe not.

For the giving of merits, lots of other foreign members disagrees to what crwth did because they think that it violates the rules when giving merit to another person. Even though lots of foreign members do not agree to what crwth did, still theymos will be the one who will be handling the application. So let's just wait.

View the link above. I noticed the thread in the 2nd page of our local and I remember reading an article about the Cryptocurrency adaptation here in the Philippines supported by Philippine Government. This article might bec interesting for us.
1175  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Sana mabago ng crypto buhay ko XD on: August 07, 2018, 10:47:15 PM
First and foremost the only thing you need to do is to become a reputable member here in bitcointalk. No one cares about your issues regarding your family and your current financial status.

Well if you want to make a decent amount of money that is enough for your basic necessities, you must consider yourself first as a good and non shitposting member here because merit is one of the requirement in order for you rank up. Make quality post and the rest will be history.
1176  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: July 29, 2018, 03:40:29 AM
Thank you, theymos and hilariousandco,

The colors signifies the Philippine Flag, if it is going to be used it will symbolize as a contribution not just by me but also from the Filipino People. I know there is a long journey for us to change the minds of those people whom they considered Filipinos as shitposter because of the history: shitposter plague. However, there are Filipino (Community Members) Lawyers, Doctors, Bank Branch Head, Stockbrokers, developers, DJ, Artist, Professors, and those Students (who needs to sustain their daily needs to continue their studies), that really contributes to our community as a whole. I can see some lights to these changes that I want for Filipino members, our local board needs more cleaning to do, thru your idea on the badge, it will create more reporters that will help clean not just our local board, but also, the whole bitcointalk. Appreciate those members who reported shit posts even without any badge.

I continue to see more Filipino contributors now, I maybe one light, but, it will continue to burn the desire for a change. Change is coming.

It is great to see that our Administrator and other staff members here are appreciating the works of my fellow members, I'm happy to see that we Filipinos are contributing for the betterment of the forum even though we have a difficulty in writing in the English Language as this is not our mother tongue. I salute theyoungmillionaire for bearing his light to us in making changes for our local board as well.

For the "Reporter Badge Images" I really like the idea of implementing this. It will encourage people who really want an improvement to the discussion quality of our forum. But what will happen if some noobies will abuse this kind of reporting?

1178  Other / Meta / Re: Read the TOPIC and CONTENT before making replies. on: July 26, 2018, 12:33:38 PM
What's much worse to see is that when users, irrelevant of whatever rank, post illogical nonsense and people tend to believe it. As no one bothers to correct them, false news spreads like viral disease. I have been a victim of this on both sides, seen false news and spread (unintentionally) false news, some times stood corrected and the rest : A blank page.
That is why it is so boring to read all the stuff that have been posted in megathreads, its just that they are posting without any basis to what they say, in fact posting their opinion which can lead to confusion and incorrect information about the topic.
They just do not care about the forum, their only concern is themselves, to get paid and to reach their quota post per day.
1179  Other / Meta / Re: Default Ranking-Up System as a Compliment to the current Merit System on: July 26, 2018, 10:48:00 AM
You are simply promoting to the old game that we used to be. If you think this system works fine, you are incorrect. You'll just void the function of Merit System despite of a long period of time to rank up. It will worsen the cases of having multiple accounts that are used to cheat in bounties.
1180  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Other sections for this forum? on: July 24, 2018, 09:52:09 AM
Hey, Mr. Dabs and Mr. rickbig41 greetings kabayan  Smiley
I did not notice that I have never been visited this thread lol, my fault. But 100 % I agree by making another Section for our local forum. These are the reasons why i voted for Trading Section.

1. Lots of Filipinos are joining bounties and airdrops and now is the right time to educate each and every filipino about Trading Discussions. They must know how to trade properly and ina timely manner. Their earnings will just go to waste if they don't know how to exchange them properly to whatever coin they want.

2. Understanding will not be problem. We use our native language to have a real and healthy discussions about trading. A lot of Filipinos have so-called "Language Barrier" that is why most of them do not understand the terms used in trading discussions. They can now relate to each other's queries.

Another, what if Technical Discussion will be added in our Local Forum? I think that is one of the best starters in learning the very basic of crypto currencies. What da' ya' think?
