942  Economy / Services / Re: Yobit.net signature campaign on: January 06, 2020, 03:51:30 PM
If the signature is not displayed, it seems logical.
I'm not 100% sure but, it seems to me that posts from "off-topic" thread are also not counted. Can anyone confirm this?
I posted one reply in one of the threads in Off Topic. AFAIK, that one post is counted.

Furthermore I think there is nothing new or changes in the current campaign. The sections where posts are counted is still vague.
943  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Maharlika Money on: January 06, 2020, 11:43:30 AM
Are they not aware that our definition of money is slowly transforming from Paper Money to an Internet Money? We are now in the era of having a Protocol-based transaction when it comes to our financial sector, pero sila they are forcing themselves to na gumawa ng bagong financial tool na we know in the first place mahirap paniwalaan. Bitcoin nga hindi gaanong kilala at tanggap nationwide sila pa kaya. They are literally daydreaming to be accepted once and for all even tho they have their own digital money.

How can they retain or guarantee its value? Kineclaim nila na yung paper money nila is backed up by gold, isn't it that this is a contributing factor na iinit yung mata ng government natin sa currency nila due to the power it gives when they are trading for a certain value? Lalo na ang taas ng value ng pera nila which I think it is too good to be true para maging scam and to steal a real value of money which is PHP in exchange for their "Maharlika Money".

Let's get rid of the thinking na you need to join someone else's organization to get a share of their wealth. That is not a fvckin true.

945  Local / Pamilihan / Re: How I Got Tricked and Lost all my Cryptos stored in Coins.ph on: January 06, 2020, 10:38:44 AM
The image above is exactly the same with the Coins.ph who's always texting our phone number. Hindi na din ako magtataka why OP get easily lured in entering his/ her credential in coins.ph. It is always the end user who's liable kapag nawalan ng funds due to a hacking incident unless the coins.ph declared that they were hacked causing their customers to lose funds.

Aside from using 2fa and other crypto storage. The only way we can thoroughly secure our funds is to stay disciplined not to get bait by an uncertain ads or SMS regardless of the legitimacy of the sender lalo na kung it requires the end user to log in their precious credentials. In the world of internet, hackers are able to cope up with the advancement of the technology which keeps them getting wiser and wiser. That is why mahirap madistinguish what are the fakes and what not.

It is also the same as with giving your private key, and we all know that this is a rule of thumb for us crypto enthusiast. Treat your credentials as your private key especially in coins.ph since it is a custodial wallet. The only thing that makes our account secure is to not give away your credentials to anyone as much as possible.

Bookmark ang dapat ibookmark, use an alternative browser like brave, password manager can also help to avoid entering user and password multiple times para reduce din possibility na ma hack ka using a keylogger. Thanks for sharing your thought. It helps people a lot. I hope you did not lose a large chunk of money. Smiley
946  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Password changed/Woke up.

Securing your account at the first place is a very good practice. But then hindi dapat natatapos yan, users should practice changing their accounts' password regularly or in a monthly basis to ensure the safety and to avoid being compromised. I also recommend  using password manager to avoid typing whenever he /she is logging in just to avoid being tracked using keylogger/remote keylogger.

Password changed/ Recently woke up are just contributing factors to make some precautionary measurements when doing a trade.

948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to use .json file ? on: January 05, 2020, 03:19:17 AM
It look like you are referring to a Keystore/JSON file which is an encrypted version of your private key or simply your private key. I first encountered JSON file when I was creating my webwallet in MEW but I did not bother opening it using a text editor since I know I will not understand whats in it. You can use JSON file in MEW by accessing your wallet by clicking Keystore/JSON file.

I do not know if btcwallet are using json file other than eth wallet. I also haven't used trezor. Sad

I also recommend to read all the stuff compiled in the below link. It is important to know the basic of the forum as well as its history. It might shed some light to all the questions running in your mind.

This forum is the most comprehensive learning material I think and you should spend a lot of time reading instead of posting unless you have a certain knowledge to a certain topic.

The most iconic bitcointalk threads. History on Bitcointalk.
950  Local / Pamilihan / Re: REMINDER from Coins.ph on: January 05, 2020, 02:34:02 AM
As per my experience, I didn't receive a message coming from the attacker of the said phishing link and I am so glad about it.

Furthermore, I think coins.ph has already taken an action with regards to the phishing attempt. Binuksan ko coins.ph then I saw a noticed na they had already taken an action taking down the phishing website and nasabihan na din nila ang Globe at Smart telecom to block the hackers number na ginagamit sa pagsesend.

Regardless if the website is down or not, I think we should maintain the security of our wallet. Custodial wallet na nga mahahack pa lol. Doble ingat.
951  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Password changed/Woke up. Magandang senyales sa pagtukoy ng potensyal na scammer on: January 04, 2020, 07:12:17 AM
As for an alternative use of viewing data with regards to changing users' pw, email and recently woke up, we can use SecLog. I find this as a useful tool kung gusto mo din malaman yung list of users na potential scammers.

AFAIK, makikita din sa bpip.org yung mga activity changes ng isang user, na wala na sa seclog, since seclog contains only the information during the last 30 days I think.

Active na yung BPIP but I don't know if accurate pa din yung info na nakalagay don.
952  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Drop your ETH address here! on: January 04, 2020, 05:52:39 AM

Here's mine:

Quoted but not verified. Maybe try using the Signing message using MEW.

I don't know that this ETH signing thread existed.

Unfortunately, hindi ako nakapagsign gamit Metamask. Naiconnect ko yung metamask sa MEW ko but still after doing a sign message sa MEW walanng confirmattion coming from METAMASK, so I decided to log in sa MEW using my json file which is very risky talaga. Pero still ito na ung signed message ko.

953  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: when search engine ok? on: January 04, 2020, 04:41:36 AM
I don't know why it is not functioning these past few days but here's an alternative.

As of now I am using Brave Browser and my default search engine is duckduckgo.com as I prefer privacy using the internet. GOOGLE SUCKS. Whenever I wanted to search something outside the forum. I usually type "bct", "bitcointalk" or "site:https://bitcointalk.org" after the term I am looking for. Honestly, using search engines outside the forum is better than using forums search engine as it might give you a wide variety of results.

Here's an example.
Code:
erc20 site:https://bitcointalk.org

954  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Madalas mo bang gamitin ang report button? Mayroong gabay upang makapag-report on: January 04, 2020, 04:21:43 AM
Try clicking the report to moderator button. You don't have to actually send it. Makikita mo doon yung summary mo.

I think he is not referring to the default report summary upon clicking the Report to moderator button. Maybe he is referring to a summary if your report has been handled and rated as good or bad.

This photo was taken by the original thread, just to serve as an example.
955  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Madalas mo bang gamitin ang report button? Mayroong gabay upang makapag-report on: January 04, 2020, 02:46:54 AM
Anyway, I may sound ignorant but how or where can I see my report summary? I might overlooked it.
I had also missed the 'Your report history' link, but I've started to report spam from the Bitcoin Discussion topic 3 days ago (with nearly 0 report count that time). I haven't really paid attention for the number of the reports so close, so I can only guess that the magic number is somewhere around 300 reports, because today I'm over 300 and the 'Your report history' link has appeared. It's good to see which post were reported in vain...
Is this what you are looking for? Actually, most of the members who had at least 300 reports regardless of how good or bad it is can see their full report summary.
956  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Madalas mo bang gamitin ang report button? Mayroong gabay upang makapag-report on: January 03, 2020, 02:25:44 AM
Is there any way or a specific comment na need ilagay sa comment space before submitting a report. Usually, ang nailalagay kong comment ay 'One Liner', 'No contribution on the topic', 'Spamming' mostly ganon lang. Since hindi ako madalas tumambay sa mga boards that contains spam threads kaunti lang din yung report summary ko.

Code:
You have reported 47 posts with 94% accuracy (44 good, 3 bad, 0 unhandled).

Wow, a newbie whos into bitcoin giveaway. Even tho na hindi ako nakasali, it looks like you are not fooling anyone here since this is the only time when someone who is in a lower rank posted a bitcoin giveaway.

I suggest na pwede mong gayahin yung way ni krogoth kapag nagpaparaffle.

I am also not familiar with prize pero magbabakasakali din ako. What I admire is the essence of this very last gift giving this new Year.
959  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [GAME] "Bring Me" Chance to win XRP coins on: December 31, 2019, 07:43:58 AM
I have also read that heartbreaking incident. I did not bother in replying to the said post because I know that I do not have the capacity to help other people at this time of crisis else it will also contribute a spam in the off topic discussion.

Well, this is my take here with regards to the contest. It would be better to distribute those prizes to people who have won the contest and reach out the 40 XRP to our fellow community member who badly needs our help. It is okay with me not to participate in the last game of the contest just for the sake of helping fellow fillipino. Alam ko lang din yung hirap at lungkot when something happens in the midst of holiday season.

As for other member, I hope you understand my point. Happy New Year.
