161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODLERS are preventing prices going down further on: March 14, 2018, 01:57:42 AM
it seems that these are the level where prices are not going to dump further downwards.... thanks to hodlers...

Exactly! For as long as there is a strong and resilient community of Bitcoin hodlers, the price of Bitcoin will never go down rock bottom. This is the thing that prevents the demand from going to an all time low. But then again we need a much bigger community of Bitcoin hodlers as there will always be some who are shifting to altcoins and some are selling. In the end, hodling will always win. The hodlers will be rewarded with more profit than those who have weaker hands.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: March 14, 2018, 12:38:44 AM
What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink

Do we have any update on this plan? Was this realized? Or it simply did not materialize? It seems that until now Bitcoin's blockchain is still the most efficient and widely used. As far as drawbacks are concerned though, we have already heard and read over and over again the complaints against fees and slow confirmation time. Aside from that, we also have to face the fact that Bitcoin-accepting shops are not as ubiquitous as we would like them to be.
163  Economy / Speculation / Re: I BUY GOLD OR BITCOIN? on: March 13, 2018, 03:09:20 PM
It actually depends on which is more important to them, fast growth or stability. If they prefer fast growth then Bitcoin is certainly the better choice. It does not need a more convincing way of proving its real deal than presenting the historical data of the prices of Bitcoin. The growth cannot be equalled by any other investment. But if they prefer to value market or price stability rather than fast growth then they may choose gold. At least they have a set of choices. On a personal note though, I prefer fast growth.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the price be stable? on: March 13, 2018, 05:14:12 AM
I remembered watching a video about bitcoins and the simple information that a beginner can understand. It says that bitcoin only has the maximum of 21 million bitcoins and 17 or 18 million has been mined.

What would happen if the very last block were mined? Will the value of bitcoin finally be stabilized?

I have read a post that the 21 million Bitcoins will be fully mined by the year 2041. The circulated supply right now is still less than 17 million Bitcoins. If the last block will be mined in the year 2041, that is still more than two decades away from now. Perhaps we will get back to this question a little later.  Wink Kidding aside, I think there will be no stability to Bitcoin's price, especially in the future when there will be more Bitcoin owners that will buy and sell Bitcoins every now and then. The demand will still be the one that determines the price.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 will be at $50,000 on: March 13, 2018, 04:25:57 AM
Such news may not have any significant effect on the value of Bitcoin, but it remains to be a valid speculation. It is also a reality-grounded one taking into consideration that Bitcoin has already almost reached $20,000 in the year 2017. This only means that a $50,000 prediction within 2018 is only less than x3 growth from Bitcoin's last All Time High which was reached last year. I do not have an iota of doubt that this price will be grabbed by Bitcoin easily.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Over 90% of ICOs are a scam on: March 02, 2018, 10:44:03 AM
46% of ICOs in 2017 have already failed ...

https://news.bitcoin.com/46-last-years-icos-failed-already/

This is expected. But then it also means that not really 90% of the ICOs are scams. It is even less than 50%. I think when Vitalik Buterin said that, he did not really mean to say that 90% of ICOs are scams. You cannot be too literal in understanding statements. He might only mean that a very big portion of the ICOs are really scams. But the statistical figure being mentioned is only a representation of what he really meant, that scam ICOs are all over the market. Just the same, people should learn to exert more effort in researching about the ICO they want to invest in.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you choose stress free investment on: March 01, 2018, 03:02:44 PM
After a while here in the forum I read a lot of members worrying about there crypto investment/trade. I would rather choose a stable and highly trustworthy altcoins to invest for the long time rather than chasing those coins thru trading. I find it super stressful to read those people losing large amount of their hard earn money.

This is highly dependent on your personal disposition or attitude. If you are a kind of a relaxed person and do not want to get stressed or do not enjoy reading and analyzing charts, then hodling your coins is the better option apparently. But there are also people who are really determined to learn how to trade cryptocurrencies with a more effective approach and high level skills. These people are the ones that are really giving very high focus. They are the ones that will earn more money provided they end up an effective trader.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is MEW Safe to use now? on: March 01, 2018, 08:00:19 AM
Recently there was a split between the team behind MEW and a new paper wallet site opened up.  Is MEW still safe to use with a Ledger?

This is also my concern. As a matter of fact, a recent post from the twitter account of myetherwallet goes like this:

"Another phishing attempt, this was targeting our #MEWForce. They are already aware what to do with these emails. Are you?"

I hope they will get themselves together and address this as soon as possible. This should be treated urgently because a huge amount of holdings are at stake here. They should treat everything seriously considering that their track record is not as clean as it should be. I hope they will not just sit down on this highly troubling concern.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC price 100 USD? on: February 28, 2018, 11:36:45 AM
It is up to 68 USD now, do you guys think it will act like bit coin cash and go up like crazy?

The 68 USD price of Litecoin (LTC) is already a thing of the past. This was just a few months ago and yet it is already a much smaller value as compared to where LTC has achieved in terms of value right now. Litecoin is already valued at more than $200 as of the moment. That is around 300 percent growth from that point. Such a huge growth already. And we know that it is not the highest peak of Litecoin. It used to reach even as high as $350. So there is still a bigger growth to it in the coming days.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Type of altcoins to buy. on: February 28, 2018, 11:00:53 AM
Hi, Can you please tell me the which type of altcoins we should buy.  Like:- which has already product established or having a strong development or backed by someone very powerful(big companies) or whose idea is best or any other reason which we should consider while buying the coin?

If you are still looking for the best coins to buy and you still have no clear idea which ones are these, try considering the top performers in the market instead. This is the best way to end up buying the best coins the cryptocurrency world can offer. And we all know that the leading coins in the market will always include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Stratis, Cardano, Monero, NEM, and several more top coins. And then learn to keep your patience and hodl them until enough gains are made.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you day trade or prefer a long term hold? on: February 27, 2018, 07:44:45 AM
So I'm slowly going into crypto and I want to know if any of you trade altcoins daily, or you prefer to hold it for long term? What do you think it's better and why?

Thanks

I am kind of doing both of it. But the majority of my holdings are for long term goals. Day trading is much better but honestly I do not have the skills that are needed for me to successfully earn profits through day trading. I attempted a few times before but at the end hodling could have made me more profit than day trading. I sometimes do swing trade though. But only if a certain coin I really am very familiar with goes down big. I buy during the dip and sell during the recovery.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much can you make from bount campaigns? on: February 26, 2018, 09:00:26 AM
What's a ballpark figure you can earn from all these bounties that get posted?

I have a high number of followers online and recently started making crypto videos, I'm looking to do a weekly showcase of promising ICO's and a full promotion over all my social media.

Will I be able to earn a decent amount from bounties? Shall I contact ICO's and ask if we can do a deal instead of bounties? I just don't wanna put a load of effort into promoting ICO's if it's for such a small amount.

Thank you :-)

I think if you really have a solid and popular video channel, you can directly contact the marketing person of the project for a better deal. But before doing this make sure your video channel is crypto-themed and the regular viewers are really huge. Otherwise, you will just be advised to view their bounty campaigns. I haven't tried this but I guess you will be receiving a decent payment with this. In fact, the blog and video campaigns are a big deal in every project. I have seen a lot of telegram messages offering such services as well.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about Airdrop. on: February 26, 2018, 08:20:23 AM
I'm very new to crypto world. Actually it is no more than 1 month since I've started joining airdrops and I'm waiting to do some bounty programs too. I've got a question. How long normally it will take to receive the airdropped coins to my wallet ?. Is it really profitable joining airdrops when considering the time we dedicate for it ( finding and joining to airdrops ) ?. Is there anyone who earned a considerable amount of money from only doing airdrops ?.

You may actually try. For now, since you are still not joining any campaign, you better devote some of your time to look for great airdrops. Who knows, you might hit something big? Generally though, I think focusing mainly on airdrops is a waste of time, provided you can devote that time doing something else that could give you more money than just waiting for a free coin which you cannot even be sure whether it will acquire value or not. You will eventually realize all these as soon as you get well-exposed here.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia SCAM on: February 25, 2018, 04:19:04 AM
I don't think Cryptopia will scam you, or any of its users for that matter. That is not possible at all. Cryptopia is a trusted crypto exchange platform that has been serving the crypto traders and enthusiasts for a considerable amount of time already. And for a significant amount of time that I have been using Cryptopia, I have not been unlucky enough to encounter such problems with their site. Perhaps your problem is on a more individual level. Just send a support ticket to them and they will get you back in no time.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Speculation about the grow of the market on: February 25, 2018, 03:43:18 AM
You cannot claim that cryptocurrency is not supported by the elites. That is not an accurate line. You know the elites are pretty much divided on the issue of cryptocurrency. The other half are against cryptocurrency. These are the elites who are strongly tied to banking and government interests. They cannot side with cryptocurrency because their life is there on the opposite side of the fence. On the other hand, the other half is strongly supporting cryptocurrency. These are the visionaries, the people who are on the side of new technologies, and people who are in one way or another fed up with the currency monetary system.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin winter? on: February 24, 2018, 08:55:18 AM
Everyone is saying altcoin winter, but I disagree.  I think it wont last all that long.  Maybe a few weeks or so.  Bitcoin is definitely going to shoot up soon though.  What do you all think?

Well, you may call it an altcoin winter or crypto winter if you want because it includes Bitcoin. This is normal. There are always pump and dump seasons in cryptocurrency. There is a time when we see almost every coin flying so high unbelievably. There are also times when we get frustrated because almost all cryptos are crying hard with blood. This will not last long of course. In the same manner that the flying of Bitcoin and the altcoins will also not go on indefinitely. Both continuous pump and dump of coins are not healthy to the entire world of crypto.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do i sell my altcoins? on: February 24, 2018, 08:03:16 AM
Hello guys i got really lucky and some of my altcoins received from airdrops have gained value.I want to sell it at its market price.Where can i sell it at its best price?
Also i am confused as to hold or sell the coins. The coins which i possess are at its initial stages so will its value increase with time or should i sell it now.Two of the coins are REBL and EQL.

I don't know whether these airdropped coins are with high quality or just another coins that are given away as easily as they do not have any value at all. Well, in terms of where to sell them, check where the mentioned coins are being listed right now. If there is no exchange platform yet that listed them, then they cannot be sold yet. You have to wait a little longer for them to get listed somewhere. Most of the time, Etherdelta is the first site where new coins are being traded in a decentralized manner. If in your assessment, such coins have a bright future, then you better hodl them.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Three coins which i am buying during the fall on: February 23, 2018, 06:29:21 AM
Three coins which i am buying during the fall
1 Wabi
2 Icx
3 Zil
Will hold them for three months.
whats your thoughts?

LOL, did anybody know these coins or their project. I personally does not know these project at all. If you want to pick the cheap and potential altcoins there are many in the marketplace. You can choose any among them. I suggest my personal list below. Choose anyone or all in this list.
1: Siacoin
2. Steller
3. ADA
4. TRX
5. Verge

Lol verge and tron are scams, you will get burned badly if you invest in those 2 coins.

Of the list, I think I will only be rooting for Siacoin (SC) and Cardano (ADA). Both projects are really solid and have already established themselves as two of the top coins. Cardano, in particular, has already made it big time, getting on the top ten cryptos almost instantly. Siacoin is also incredible and has been able to maintain its position among the top 40 of the more than a thousand cryptos we have right now.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to invest in ICO? on: February 22, 2018, 05:49:46 AM
For a beginner, I always advice that they invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Waves and other major altcoins to begin with. They may proceed to invest in ICOs if the time is already ripe, meaning they already understand how the thing works and how to tell whether an ICO is legit or simply a scam. ICO investment is a great investment. The problem with it is that there are so many ICO failures in its history and you might end up joining an ICO that is deemed to fail. So you better study the project very carefully.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your involvment in crypto world? on: February 22, 2018, 05:12:51 AM
As the title, do you actually work 24/7 in the crypto world as like: trading, mining, bounties, airdrop etc?

And what is your expecting earnings in the future with those jobs? Do you sustain yourself with? Feel free to ask too Smiley

24/7 is too much. Although I am involved in crypto in a significant way, I am not a major player. I am not involved in mining, although I am really interested to set up one. Perhaps a single mining rig will do for a beginner like me. But that will have to wait. For now, I am involved in a little trading, a little bounty participation, and a little investment. I have stopped participating in airdrops because it proved to be not worth it anymore.
