1602  Other / Off-topic / Re: The craziest shit you can buy with bitcoins right now? on: July 07, 2016, 02:12:24 PM
Shieet, once i was surfing the darknet markets and forums,i have found an offer to buy a small airplane for btc...
i would like to buy it lol im too poor anyway to have my own airplane i guess haha Cheesy
car maybe? im pretty sure there is no problem buying car with BTC lol

No Airplane or car can be buyed from bitcoins because no seller of car or aeroplane will accept payment in bitcoins. Also it seems crazy that you send lots of BTC to buy a Car. I never heard anyone doing such big transactions with bitcoins.
Why do people make confident statements of such nonsense? There have been MANY cars and planes bought for bitcoin and it has gone on for years now. As mentioned, try https://cars.overstock.com/.
1603  Economy / Economics / Re: How would you double $100,000 safely? on: July 05, 2016, 08:17:36 PM
I would put it in an index fund and wait 20 years.  Huh
1604  Economy / Goods / Re: Looking to purchase 5 star hotel reservation in Seattle, WA on: July 05, 2016, 08:13:05 PM
It may be hard to find on those terms. Seems to me like only the hotel you are staying at allows payment after the stay. Any reservation system is going to want up front payment. At least I would guess so?
1605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: July 05, 2016, 08:04:04 PM
I'm not sure where this idea comes from? Bitcoin is "fair" money, but it is not a tool to undo socioeconomic stratification. Sure, over time it could be part of a strategy to pull yourself out of poverty. You are able to circumvent the games and traps in fiat systems with bitcoin. However, it is mostly like all other money. You will have to work or produce goods if you want to earn money.
1606  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else is going to hold while people try to short the halving? on: July 05, 2016, 05:54:33 PM
Naked shorting is a good way to lose your shorts and find yourself naked.
1607  Other / Off-topic / Re: The craziest shit you can buy with bitcoins right now? on: July 05, 2016, 02:58:13 PM
...  which gun store accepts bitcoin by the way?
http://shop.centraltexasgunworks.com/ is my favorite. I have bought several guns from them. As you mentioned, all gun laws still apply.
1608  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What should I know before changing to the new blockchain.info wallet ? on: July 05, 2016, 02:05:43 PM
What you should know is that you don't actually own any bitcoin unless you have complete and exclusive control of the private keys.
1609  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase scam me 3 Bitcoins on: July 05, 2016, 01:22:51 PM
What are you seeing in their response that says "scam"? Coinbase is a huge business and was not formed to get your 3 BTC. Give them a chance.

P.S. Never use rent and food money in a social experiment.
1610  Other / Off-topic / Re: The craziest shit you can buy with bitcoins right now? on: July 01, 2016, 02:38:09 PM
I really think its crazy that you can buy guns and drugs with the bitcoin, that this is possible is just insane and I think this has too stop without any doubts.
There never has been and never will be a time when illegal items will be kept from people who want them. But what if they were legal? Last week I bought legal weed in Washington state, should I have been prevented from doing that? I have also bought several firearms for bitcoin, legally of course. And tonight my wife and I are dining out and paying for drinks (with the drug alcohol) using bitcoin. Should I be stopped? I see no problem with buying guns and drugs with any money. It is the shooting people and driving impaired that is the problem. Those things are already illegal and the people who wont follow the rules in place are not going to follow a new one.

That's amazing! a car for BTC I never thought i'd see the day that btc would move so far...
Actually there are lots of places to buy a car for BTC and there have been for years. Overstock.com, for example, can get almost any car for you. And you cam pick them up at a local dealership. Check here: https://cars.overstock.com/

1612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: June 30, 2016, 08:19:11 PM
Before its my first time to heard bitcoin that bitcoin is use for illegal activities like buying guns without license and buying drugs using bitcoins before thats why i have no plan to use bitcoin because looks like its scam or it may risk my life..
What lol, why would you be at risk because someone somewhere buys drugs with bitcoin? I think you need to re-read the white paper by Satoshi Nakamoto.

1613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: June 30, 2016, 06:16:15 PM
The plot thickens. Dollars are also used for illegal activities!  Shocked

Guess it's time to use holy water as a currency.  Huh
1614  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin have lost more than $100 in a day... on: June 28, 2016, 02:15:48 AM
I'm traveling this week and catching up on the news at the airport. The brexit happened?! WTF did you blokes do? Oh well, good for BTC at least. Now if we have a nexit, and swexit will be a hell of a year.

1618  Economy / Services / Spanish speaker needed to translate two lines for $2 in BTC on: June 21, 2016, 03:54:06 PM
Hey,
I am delivering a eulogy this weekend and I wanted to do part of it in Spanish. I need someone to check my translation and see if it is ok. Below is the text in English and my attempt at Spanish. First PM to me with a translation or confirmation gets the gold. Please include a receiving address.

(Some of you know of Bob’s connections in the Spanish speaking community. His sponsorship of young people from abroad and his success in establishing Spanish masses in this very church.)

Algunos de ustedes saben de las conexiones de Bob en la comunidad de habla española. Su patrocinio de los jóvenes desde el extranjero y su éxito en el establecimiento de masas españolas en esta misma iglesia.

Thanks.
1619  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: June 21, 2016, 02:56:19 PM
customers use Bitcoins because they can figure out that this things might be their answer to their savings and other
benifits of it.

I do not see a retailer charge less for using the bitcoin even though they pay less transaction fees. but I do not mind.
I mostly only use retailers who offer a discount for bitcoin. Sometimes it is a little hidden until checkout, but look closely, many places do this and I have saved hunfreds of dollars this way.
1620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin have lost more than $100 in a day... on: June 21, 2016, 02:13:09 PM
Looks normal to me. Speculators drive up the price then sell off when they fear a dip. No mystery here.
