When you say something about pairing, you made mentioned of Alvarez and Grealish, to me I don't see those two as best to make oppositions feel threatened, if you're talking about best pairing I'd say Doku and Alvarez or Doku and Phil Foden.
If Pep is starting the front 3 it should be Doku on the left, Alvarez as the striker and Foden on the right flank, these guys have more force that would produce goals in a game than Grealish in that selection.
To me Grealish is just another player you should be calling a junk player because he likes being fouled, he also kills counter attacks, so I prefer Doku to him and if Mahrez was to be in that City team now I'd prefer him over Grealish. If not for the money I don't think Grealish would still be playing regularly for Man City.
Mahrez is never a junk player rather I think he’s one underrated player who’s got so much impact especially when he’s on the pitch of play. He was signed to Man City when he was part of the helping hands that aided in Leicester win of the EPL trophy. Pairing of Alvarez and Grealish is a disaster as Grealish needs someone very experienced to do the finishing jobs for him and most times Alvarez isn’t that person to do it. Alvarez and Doku or Foden will be a better pair because these 2 are also young and would want to achieve a lot especially as they’re not big money signings Mahrez over Grealish anytime, anyday he's plays better and is more reliable than Grealish despite his age, I still don't understand why Pep had to let him go, maybe he kept Grealish cause of the money the got him for and decided to sale Mahrez cause of his age, however you're right instead of start Grealish I think Goku is more preferable currently. |

Yes, Aston Villa has indeed experienced very significant progress this season and this cannot be separated from the hard work of Unai Emery who was able to make the club compete among the big Premier League clubs. Aston Villa's defense, I admit, they maintain a very tight defense, but sometimes Aston Villa starts to lose concentration if they start to concede, like in the match against Manchester United, where initially Aston Villa took the lead in the first half, but Manchester United was able to provide a counterattack which made Astin Villa lose focused in the second half until finally losing. This must be a lesson for Aston Villa so as not to lose focused when have conceded to the opposing club.
No doubt Unai has really done well for this Aston Villa team and he’s made them attain a height they haven’t in a ling while. Financially they’re not yet befitting to be a top club, but they’ve got the fighting spirit which also has helped them defeat top teams like City and Arsenal, they're a good team but they ought to be careful in certain games. Well their lack of concentration in games especially when having 2 goals up is usually what affects this team. Like in the game against Man United, they lost concentration and this had a negative effect on them. Come on man, the real challenge for villareal is just starting right now. Leverkusen came even stronger than last season and we have liverpool as the storngest candidate to win europa league. Don't forget about roma and acmilan. These clubs could be threats for villareal as well. Just because villareal was having same pattern as villareal and it doesn't mean villareal will be winning the competition soon. We have to be fair if any clubs have their own chances to take the trophy.
Who knows if villareal will be also going down the line too far at the europa league soon. the team is not at a stage where we could get much worse but villarela needs always try to be careful caused by it has not faced yet the strongest club than it.

Im waiting for mitrovic to face messi soon. It will be very interesting friendly match caused by we do know that how big messi was in the past and he will be playing against al hilal which was the strongest team in the SPL right now. Im thinking that the gap is too far consider intermiami was still placing at the bottom last season. Even though the MLS has not yet commenced, I have reservations about Miami's chances of making any progress. The match against al hilal can be used to measure the performance from the club. Since Emery left Villarreal their situation has changed slightly but it is not impossible for them to focus more on the Europa League now rather than looking at La Liga.
Not that La Liga is not very important in this case but if you look at their current condition it must be difficult to compete in the race for the Europa League or Champions League because they are currently still scattered in the middle standings so surely their priority will be in the Europa League and it was seen when Villarreal performed quite well in the Europa League group phase.
The current situation is actually almost the same as Sevilla did last season but of course that doesn't mean they can walk free in this competition because after all, looking at the opportunities that exist for them at this time Villarreal is just a dark horse for the Europa League.

If you think Roma's game was better than Atalanta, I think that's wrong, Roma conceded first than Atlanta. The German Bundesliga this season have been more competitive than it's been in the past eleven years thanks to Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen impressive performance and just like many other football lovers across the globe who very happy with the development in the German league, I'm also very happy that Bayern Munich is finally facing a strong contention from a strong and determined team on who will finish the season with the German Bundesliga title.
Thomas Tuchel without doubt is a very experienced manager who have the needed managerial experience and abilities to help Bayern Munich overtake the current league leaders Bayer Leverkusen in the race for the league but Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso have also shown strong signs on why he should also be feared and have proven already that he's ready to match whichever energy that's presented to him by Bayern Munich this season. Considering the the kind of hardwork and energy that Leverkusen have put in this season, I'll be disappointed if they don't end up with the league title
With everything that's happened in the German league from the start of the season till now. I'm certain that it won't be an easy ride for Munich. Alonso is making the manager's seat hot for him and Tuchel is striving to be meaningful to the team more than he currently is. The team won't want to be submissive to Leverkusen that just came out of the blue, even though it's really not a criteria for Tuchel's job to be retained, he just has to make the team stand out and prevail against Munich. You are right that comparing Richarlison with Kane will of course never be comparable because Kane himself is one of the best players England has and he has created quite lot of goals for the team he plays for.
Maybe Richarlison is much younger, but his skills on the field are clearly visible and can be assessed with clear evidence that Kane is player that Tottenham actually had to keep around last season.
I sure and I have said this more than once that Ange Postecoglou will definitely regret not keeping Kane, Kane development is very good and he has become the top scorer for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
If only Ange Postecoglou can defend Kane and provide what is needed, such as mature strategy and the right support, then Kane can be the player who brings Tottenham to face this season with more wins.

There is no doubt this was shocking defeat but still this is not happening first time in soccer history because we have long list of defeats like these in many leagues as big giant teams lost to unknown teams with currently, we all know Ajax is having troubling time, and they are trying to rebuild themselves for the better future in Eredivisie so we can expect results like these from them.
This match was played on 21st December for the KNVB Cup round of 32 once USV Hercules were leading by 2–0, but we have some good drama at the end and Ajax able to score two quick goals but injury time goal from the Grotenbreg give them shocking win odds for the USV Hercules @51 at the start of the match.
Ajax got defeated by a 3rd division team. Well it sounds crazy though but it’s never the least expected especially as Bayern Munich were also defeated in the German Cup by a 3rd division team. Ajax is facing rebuilding and being eliminated from this competition at this point is kind of better. This is to enable them focus more on better competitions e.g the UEL and try to come up on the league’s standing. The match was full of drama and Ajax no doubt gave in their best but they were quite unlucky. So I feel it shouldn’t be much a big deal, they can forge ahead of this defeat.A victory in that game would had given then a boost in morale towards the chase for the top four in the Eredivisie League but all hope is not lost yet, they should put themselves together and try to do better so as to secure a spot in the UCL. |

I have often said in previous posts that it will be difficult for Nice to maintain its position at the top of the Ligue 1 standings, especially if they want to compete with PSG. I don't mean to underestimate Nice, it's just that these two teams have a very significant gap. IMO, Nice's superiority in their 17 matches in Ligue 1 is none other than because they have a fairly strong, disciplined and solid defense. and Nice has the advantage of having a strong defense, making the opposing team off guard and at the same time Nice is able to take advantage of its opportunities. so it's very natural that Nice is not very productive in terms of scoring lots of goals.
however, Nice should be given appreciation, because so far they have been able to stay in the top four of the Ligue 1 standings. Last season, Nice finished in 9th place. this season, after playing 17 matches, Nice is still able to survive even though the potential for being overtaken by AS Monaco is quite large. but at least, the squad coached by Francesco Farioli is a team that is difficult to beat. it has been proven that so far they have only experienced two defeats and only conceded nine goals. so, they have experienced quite drastic improvements compared to last season.
As for the other teams, I think Monaco has prospects, even though their consistency is not yet stable. I am quite sure that Monaco will be able to finish in 2nd place by the end of this season. as for PSG, I'm sure that Luis Enrique is not targeting competing for the Champions League trophy. just look, Luis Enrique's squad is not strong enough to compete with Europe's top elite teams. that's why, I think PSG is currently more focused on building the team's foundation and they are currently focusing on their young players.
Nice have showed improvement from their performance last season and we must credit the coach for this improvement and also we must credit the investors who came and had to invest in this team. I think the investment wasn’t a bad one because they’re sitting comfortably at 2nd place, and with more fundings and financial backup from the board with time they'll begin to challenge PSG for the title. Yes, I don’t think they’ll be able to overthrow PSG but I think they can try to get a UCL Spot which I think is the coach’s and club’s target. Though Monaco who are better experienced seem to be so close to overthrowing Nice but I don’t think it’ll be possible. So this is how Arsenal will be exempted from the premier league title race after awful matches that led them to lose a lot of games. It is so sad to see that a team many thought would have been a contender for the title this season already falling behind in points and no more occupying the top spot positions on the table. Arsenal still have some hope just like other teams now, I hope they can wake up and face the title challenge again before it gets too late for them. This their inconsistency is now becoming something serious and made them lost a title last season, a repeat of it this season will be a big blow on the coach and the entire team. It is better they look into this and catch up with other teams for the title race now.

KDB is definitely a great addition, and so is Doku as well of course. The fact that KDB assisted to Doku in this game is lovely, it wasn't a shock that they won, and they were playing a much simpler opponent, and KDB or Doku scoring or assisting wouldn't be a shock, but them contributing together was the icing on the cake, a great welcome back for both of them.
I think it should be pointed out that we are talking about something that would be lovely to see, and we should consider that as the most important part. I believe that we are going to end up with some trouble one way or another if we are not careful with their health, so Pep should put them in slow by slow, and not start them right away, give them some fitness first.
City's coach would be the most happiest currently because of the return of Kelvin Debruyne, if you noticed their attackers are now doing very well upfront and the number of goals they score have increased, KDB knows how to deliver the right pass to the right players, making it very easy for them to confuse the opposition defense and put the ball at the back of the net, I'm pretty sure he'll be back to meet players like Doku that's ever ready to utilize the good pass he delivers. Liverpool continued improvement in performance will not have too big an impact as long as Salah plays for his country in the Africa Cup of Nations. At the world cup Morocco can gets 4th place because they lose from Croatia for 3rd place match but indeed this is fantastic achievement from them because this is the first time for Morocco to advances to the semifinal matches of world cup and at African Cup Morocco will be at group F with Congo, Tanzania and Zambia although i didn't know the strength of these teams but if we see from squad quality probably Morocco can able to beat all of them and they have a potention to qualified as group champion
After world cup Morocco still playing to several friendly matches and African cup qualifier matches and so far they still able to managed their performance because from total 7 matches Morocco only lose once even several months ago they can able to beat Brazil through an friendly match and regarding their status at African Cup i am not really sure to placing them as the favourite considering Morocco achievement in this competition is not too impressive because if i am not mistaken Morocco only able to being an the champion once time at 1976 and for the champion favourite i think Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana still being an strong candidate to gets the trophy
Morocco have improved on the way they play their football and a big testimony to that fact is the success they got at the World Cup. They are the first African country to get to the Quarterfinals and this a notable feat. Now at the AFCON, they’re in a group consisting of Congo, Tanzania and Zambia which I feel won’t be much of a stress for Morocco, they'll come out of the group stage with ease and move to the next round. I believe Morocco will top the group and achieve a notable feat at the AFCON this time around. This is also because of the feat they’ve achieved and the way they’ve maintained their victory after about seven friendly matches. Well we can’t see them as favorites yet but they can pose a nice threat to serious teams like Egypt, Senegal and Cameroon which seem like the competition’s favorites. |

how can PSG management do that? Mbappe will be leaving from PSG caused by his contract will be running out. It means that if there will be no choice for PSG other than let him go out from the club. How can PSG control a player that will not under contract with the club? Are you joking?
Mbappe has been denied a new contract from PSG. It means he will be leaving from there as soon as possible. It's not possible for PSG to defend him to stay in the club while mbappe has no answer about the continuation of his career in PSG.
Meanwhile, real madrid has been linked so hard to him and this could be a strong reason to say that if mbappe may be leaving from PSG soon. Im not sure if mbappe will stay much longer inthe club caused by he needs to get a new challenge and he shall never stuck in the same place.

For Mbappe, his stay in the team beyond and after the expiration of the contract seems to be dependent on his intentions as well as the teams performance in the long run. Good thing for him that Madrid may not really be interested in him yet until summer so he's got to be a bit patient till then, then maybe, he'd be willing to join the Spanish side. Even though Liverpool are questing for him as well, ion think they'll be set to afford that amount for him during this January transfer window. Conceding two goals to a team like Barbastro shouldn't have happened, I can't imagine what would happen to Barcelona if the team faced a big team like Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.
After winning 5-0 vs Antwerp on September 19 2023, Barcelona has never won a single match with a score of more than one goal. Barcelona experienced a drastic decline in performance, the attack line was very dull, the midfield was unable to maintain the rhythm of the game well and the back line was very fragile. It is very difficult to compete in the Champions League and La Liga if the performance is like this, Barcelona will be in danger of not winning a trophy this season if Xavi does not immediately solve the problems that are occurring in his team's directionless play.
Barcelona's performance are not even encouraging, they're behind their usual style of play. This definitely isn't the usual Barcelona of past seasons. Their performance hasn't really been encouraging and even though they're a better side technically to other teams, it's just a number of uncertainties that are present. The players and management teams aren't really at their best and it has to be corrected. In the round of 16, they are up against a tough opponent, they've got enough weeks to prepare hard and build strong confidence ahead. They really can't afford to take a bow out of the contest at this stage. Although it's unpredictable but they're definitely boasted of to scale through and they have the right player quality too.
