As far as I know there are some DT members has been making some moves about this matter. Actmyname is one  of those people that really is trying hard to catch and put some red trust to those people. But I think giving red trust today isn't a good thing because some people hasn't understand how the merit system works. Some people thought that merit given can be removed which isn't possible.
Anyway, theymos said that merit sales, trading merit, and giving merit on alts aren't an issue.

Well it easy for newbies here to rank up and earn the merit they deserve for the next ranks just by making an effort on each post and replies they make. I think the merit system is a good way for people to stop going on this forum just to earn money rather than sharing information about what happening each cryptos they held and about to buy. But I agree with you that this merit system won't me a long term solution since selling merit can be an choice for those greedy bastards.
Exactly this thing happened to all members especially those low ranks such as Full Member below. Anyway, since you are new here maybe try to make your English better because it's "Lose" not "Loose". I hope this is just a typographical error since there are a lot of DT out there that are strict about these stuffs.

Let's just say that this things is likely to happen, central bank's crypto will just be like some other crpytos in the market right now. We can never truly say that it will be the one who'll get total control of the block chain. Just like other cryptos, its success depends on how its campaign goes and the amount of investors they attract. But the budget of the said crypto will be its advantage among others because it has the fund of the central bank that will support them.

Directly taxing bitcoin is a bit impossible due to its decentralized nature. There's nothing the government can do about it. But there are different ways the government can put tax when it comes to bitcoin. Government can monitor and tax all apps and wallets that we use for bitcoin related transactions. Companies who develops the wallet are probably required to pay their taxes and in that way they put tax on every transaction of its user by adding it to the amount of transaction fee that they have to pay.

Regarding DOGE, I did not expect that its price will soar this high even if its supply is unlimited.  It just shows that people are now recognizing these coins which are really nice for the growth of the crypto world, where the focus of the people is being distributed to other coins and not just on bitcoin.

We should realize that as we use cryptos, we help these people especially from poor countries. We, the users of these coins make the price grow and in turn giving them the chance to make money from the coins that they are holding. The economy of these coins is based on how the world uses it, how the supply and demand moves. People are being saved by cryptos, the increasing benefits of these coins to people just implies that the government should support bitcoin!

Every exchanges have different prices. Coinmarketcap gets the average of the overall market of the particular coin.

Take a look at ADA, it had a great pump this last few weeks and is still continuing to rise. I think it will be up some more in January so go for it. You won't regret anything.

Usually, ETH and LTC go with bitcoin in terms of the normal percentage of rise or fall. The only thing that affects the three is when there is an upcoming hardfork that affects the demand and supply of a particular coin.

The only currency that I can really depend on when the price of bitcoin is falling is Ripple (XRP), try to put your coins on ripple when you think BTC will go down as it is not affected by the price of BTC, a nice reason for it is because it is centralized. For the past weeks, ripple had a great and steady increase while bitcoin became crazy somehow. The price started to went bad before Christmas and it is still down today.

This is one great purpose of cryptos. There are some countries, third world countries to be exact that are benefiting from cryptos since it's hype grown so much this year. The people of Venezuela are being saved by cryptos, and aslo some other countries in Africa. They hold these cryptos which are growing very fast because of the worldwide economy of the coins. It's like we are helping those people grow because we make the coins grow, we - the users of these coins increases the hype, the demand for the coins which results to the increase on its price.
