1361  Economy / Economics / Re: holding bitcoin from early 2010 till today on: March 04, 2021, 05:45:20 PM
Holding Bitcoin was not easy in 2010. Online wallets such as Blockchain.info were inexistent, and so was the case with lite wallets. Also, back then the software was very prone to crashes and bugs. Moreover, most of the users were ideologically motivated and never cared much about their coins. A lot of them lost their coins when they formatted their laptops or when they lost the private keys as a result of carelessness.
There were a lot of issue back then which is also the reason why most of the early adopters have not been able to hold unto their coins whether they like or not. If I right, most of the people who have hold and tried to open and bring back their wallets as early as 2015 or 2016 have failed due to various reasons where the common ones are corruption of files and hardware failure. If you think of it, computer hardware and software back then was as good and secured as today.

The only people that I believe to get a hold of their coins from before up until now are the community here at bitcointalk that has been active for a long time. I believe, theymos, still have access to his/her coins today.
In my country Philippines, someone holds Millions of dollars worth of bitcoin. He was anonymous of course but he shared his picture having his multi-million dollar worth of BTC and he says he holds it from 2013.
I'm from Philippines and I haven't heard anything about this. May I know where you have read or watched this, I'm just curious about this as I believe that only Dabs was the only bitcoin pioneer on Philippines.  Shocked Huh
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone placed esports bets? on: March 04, 2021, 05:09:38 PM
There are a lot of people who are betting in DOTA 2 and the prize pool is always high compared to other games. Maybe soon I'll try to bet in a FPS games like that, I'm updated in our local tournament but I just don't feel about betting in that game because it is really unpredictable on which team is the best.
No doubt it's unpredictable to bet on esports but if you know the teams you are betting on, their playstyle, their weakness and their strength then it can help you a lot. For example, if you are betting on DOTA2 and observe some teams closely like Nigma, you will notice that player Miracle plays a few heroes amazingly while others not so well. Some even say that Miracle's Medusa is impossible to beat and these things help you make bets because you can see if the players are picking heroes they are comfortable with, then they have better chances while odds aren't much impacted with how the draft phase goes.
Most sports and esports are unpredictable but being able to know the comfortable picks of each players will also helps a lot in factoring on which team will win. Yes, knowing their gamestyle and training of will be the best knowledge to have which mostly can be seen on their streams. But there are times where they play different heroes when they are on and off streams. There are a lot of instances that a hero was picked eventhough you haven't seen them played with it.

I've never tried to bet in a live FPS esports game even though I played a lot of games like Valorant, CS:GO and COD etc.
Playing a game doesn't mean you will be good at betting, that's true, I played a lot of soccer in my college time but that doesn't make me good at betting on soccer. But knowing the sport certainly helps as you at least know all the rules and possibilities of winning and losing.
Being knowledgeable to the game your betting can help you determine the winner of game. On FPS games there are certain strategies where pro players do that can analyze by watching their games. But yes, it'll only help you determine the chances of that'll win but it can't make a professional gambler.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try gambling trips? on: March 04, 2021, 04:23:17 PM
I haven't heard of such a thing here at where I'm at but even if I did there's a very low possibility that I'll be encourage to join a such a occasion or a gambling trip like that. First reason is monetary issue, a minimum of $5,000 for a 2 days trip on a physical casino is too much for me. Second reason is convenience, I rather pick my own casino to gamble on that is most convenient for me rather than going on a trip. Last reason would be COVID or physical issues, currently there are a ton of casino that you can gamble online which can avoid physical risk such as Covid and threats once you hit a jackpot.

Still even with those reasons, I still think that those trip offered by those casinos are worth it if you're into a physical casino. They offer convenience for the gamblers where they'll have a place to stay and be able to gamble and enjoy their stay. Yes, $5,000 as a minimum amount may be a lot but not for all especially for gamblers.
1364  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 03, 2021, 04:25:31 PM
After reading your post I bought 1 FunFair token right away. Can you please elaborate, what draws are you referring to? Do we have a chance of winning something, holding just 1 FunFair token? I didn't know about that.

Unfortunately at the moment you don't get any benefits with just 1 FUN token. This member was talking about the regular weekly bitcoin lottery. In lottery round 252, one user made history by winning the lottery (over 1/3 of a bitcoin), with just one lottery ticket.

As of now, there are not much of a benefits when obtaining FUN tokens but I'm excited to see what Freebitcoin have in mind with it. As for the draws that he is referring to is the weekly lottery draw where there was a instance that someone won with just 1 ticket.
I hope Freebitcoin release more events and plans regarding FUN tokens such as daily interest when holding and bonuses on lottery and RP. But, surely, we can expect more bonuses and events to come especially the moment Freebitcoin acquire FUN tokens. Happy Holding everyone.

1366  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bagong Crypto Trading Platform sa Pinas - BloomXapp on: March 03, 2021, 03:47:18 PM
Based sa mga nakikita ko sa Cryptocurrency Philippines Facebook group, as far as I know sobrang dali naman atang mag deposit ng pera sa Binance.com (correct me if I'm wrong)? If so, baka it might be a better idea na dumeretso nalang sa Binance mismo kasi most probably mas mababa ang fees.

Pero for me, I rather stick with Binance mas convenient ito para sa akin at it caters many altcoins. Based pa lang sa post ni OP, I think piling crypto pa lang ang nandito unlike Binance.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: March 03, 2021, 07:29:34 AM
^^ I would love to see Pacquiao fight Crawford because Terrence is one of the best welterweight out there. But in any case, settling against a over ballooned Mikey is not that bad. We are waiting for Manny's return and I think if he can win against Mikey, he can still get a crack on Terrence Crawford next and fight for his belt.

So there's no love lost here, Manny is still one of the cash cow of boxing and everyone wanted to get into the sweepstakes, including Crawford and Porter.
Surely, Manny Pacquiao is one of the cash cow when it comes to boxing due to his reputation and popularity he'd made. Only a few handful people denies a request on a fight with him. Terrence Crawford vs Manny Pacquiao will be hit which everyone will be interested especially to us Filipinos. Currently, Manny isn't on the greatest form as he was before but surely he will win on this match up.

When it comes to money, even if he offered him 10 million dollars, he can easily win it back and even earn more than what he offered to him. With this match-up, he can earn 10 times or even more with just this match up whether he win or lose.
1368  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: March 02, 2021, 06:00:48 PM
It depends on how a individual defines what rich means. Rich from the dictionary can be describe as many things such as wealth, assets, money, plentiful and many more. But for me, rich can also be defined as "value". If ones value an individual thru their hierarchy of class then rich can also be defines thru wealth. It can also be how ones value an individual thru their happiness and contentment then rich does not define ones wealth.

I am to describe what rich is, then I'll define it through wealth of an individual. I'll consider myself rich ones I have enough assets and investment that will help afford most of wants and all of daily needs. But, I won't act or treat other as poor if they are contented and happy to what they have.
<snip>

Nagawa ko na dati yung ganyang klaseng experiment noong 2017 before mag ATH that time at wala pang 1 day na confirm din naman agad kasi hindi congested yung traffic ng trasactions that time but may moment na umabot ng isang linggo bago maconfirm yung transaction ko with normal transaction fee nung nagATH that time at sobrang congested yung transactions noon. I don't want to experience that again kasi kahit ilang transaction accelerator na ginamit ko hindi sya nagproceed agad as planned.
1370  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 02, 2021, 04:36:24 PM
TheQuin can you give us an idea what you guys are planning for the FUN token? What will we be able to do with the token.... ? Will you offer things for sale that we can buy with the token or is this token just for gambling and using it for things on this site?

The utility for the token will determine the "Demand" for it and it will also increase the sale of the token. Can you just give a brief explanation of the future plans for the token?

Will it also be used beyond this site on other sites?
Now Funfair tokens begin to be well known, maybe it could be a good idea to pay the bounty signature campaigns with them. It would economically represent a "virtual" buying of all the campaign participants every week. Then they could withdraw or convert the tokens if they don't like them.

The signature campaign that promotes Fun Token ends today, I think it's not a bad idea to held a campaign paid with Fun Tokens on this forum with a long duration, so that crypto lovers are increasingly interested in having these tokens and will certainly make trading volumes increase and followed by price increases and market capitalization.
In case that FreeBitcoin decided to start a signature campaign with a payment of Fun Tokens, I would like to be part of it whether as a participant or a manager(surely it's Hhampuz). Fb is currently my go to gambling website and being able to be a part of them as a signature participant, gambler, and/or supporter would be a pleasure for me.
I don't see any reason for FB to not run a signature campaign with Fun Tokens as payment. Also, that maybe the reason why they've ended their FUN Token campaign, to give way for an altcoin paying signature campaign. I would be delighted to hold more tokens when it starts and be a part of it.
1371  Local / Pamilihan / Re: buying usdt using paypal on: March 01, 2021, 06:37:26 PM
Paypal transactions can be reverse back kaya kahit payment first ka pwede mo pa rin mabawi. It's better kung makahanap ka ng other way to buy crypto like Gcash, Bank Transfer or coins para kahit papaano safe yung seller.

It's either mag-withdraw ka na ngayon at makuha agad yung BTC mined mo kahit mababa or you wait for the right time na kung saan hindi na gaano kataas yung fee or magipon ka na muna para sulit talaga yung one-time withdrawal mo. Same sa suggestion ni mk4.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take team's cohesion into account when betting? on: March 01, 2021, 05:42:25 PM
It has a lot to do with knowing that the team is balanced rather than cohesive, since you do not want a member that is Bantha forrage. Also, they should be able to grow professionally by learning from their peers.
I think the sometimes a team cohesiveness can balance out the of what is missing from the team. So it doesn't necessary requires that the team is balance for them to be better and even if they aren't balance in terms of aggressiveness and defensiveness, they can still make up or focus on what they missing or their strength.
By the way, I don't know the term "Bantha Forrage" and I have to look it up on google to know what it meant. Anyway, if I am correct to assume what it means then I completely agree with you not needing and wanting someone like that from the team. Imagine having a teammate that has a mindset of YOLO or yelling "leeeeerrroooooyyyyy jeeeeeennnkkkkkkiiiiiinnnnsss" in any match will surely ruin the teamwork, efforts and strategies.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What games are best suitable for PvP gambling? on: March 01, 2021, 03:41:05 PM
~snip~

Perhaps Tekken would be a good gambling pvp game since it involves skill and timing from both the players.

With regard with chess, I think that it can also be an avenue for pvp gaming. There are certain websites that cater in playing chess online (chess24, chess, lichess, etc.) with different game types (blitz, rapid, classical). As an avid chess player, this will also increase its player base which has the potential of attracting new players to the game.

If I am right, there are already a lot of gambling chess website that has been around for quite some time now, although I am not an expert on chess, I've already found some regarding about chess and other board games using a simple google search.

In terms with Tekken, a famous multiplayer fight video game, I've found certain restriction on the company in regards of the game being used for gambling. Also, I did a quick research regarding the 1v1 gambling match for CS:GO, DOTA 2 and other steam games and I have also found out that it's either steam or valve are targeting those website that profit/ gambling using their games. It's best to have private match-up and talk to someone that is willing to gamble using skills on video game to avoid either being banned, kick out or pay any consequences on their company.

I don't know if UNO cards can be used for gambling but I'm thinking about it being used as game for gambling where the winner takes all the prize. A simple yet great way for me.
1375  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: February 28, 2021, 07:19:22 PM
It's happening in sports, that's why we hear the words "rigged" , because sports can be rigged so majority of the bettors will lose. As a gambler, I think we should be aware of that so we would know where to bet, some sports are not too obvious but it's happening inside.

Most of this is happening in boxing where we don't really know how it works and sometimes it is not obvious. we will just see one day that the fight was fixed by hearing it from the fighters who fought in the ring. you can see the example with this fight and they agreed the fight was indeed fixed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smHkN2ZpFWo
I was about to talk about that but you got first on it. Well, among most sports, Boxing is one of the highest paying one along with the gambling side that comes to every match. With this, a common fixed or rigged match has been set just for the money which both parties have agreed on.
If I am right, this also happens on other major sport leagues such as Football, Basketball but not as obvious. Another sports, where a fixed match or a rigged match is commonly set on is on E-sports which has been reported countless times but still has not ended rather fined by the higher ups.
1376  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Nakakabaliw na Fee ng coins.ph on: February 28, 2021, 05:23:14 PM
Magkano po ang fee ng Coinsph sa XRP if you convert it to PHP?
As we are just talking here about the rates, kaya walang nakakaalam kung magkano ang fee na pinapatong ni coins for crypto, basta ang masasabi ko talagang sumasabay sila sa trend ng ibang exchange.

Maya pikit mata nalang talaga pag mag convert dahil wala

1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: February 28, 2021, 04:41:45 PM
I thought that China would be the number 1 on the list because most of the gambling games are created or originated in China, just because of misinformation that I had, thinking that China would be the number 1 on the list. I searched about gambling in China and it says that gambling is still illegal in China, not bad because they have still reached the number 2 spot. USA got the number 1 spot maybe most of them are active in the sports betting because the USA is active in that part.
Actually most of the stuffs we use are made from China and/or they claim to be theirs 😂. But yes, there are gambling games that originated from China that are widely used on offline and digital casinos which is the reason why it is ranked second. But we must factor out that the amount of population and gamblers per country.

Anyway, if I were to ask on what country that gambles the most, then I'll instantly answer USA then China. First thing that came up to mind is Las Vegas that is considered as the gambling capital of the world which for me is enough reason for USA to rank 1.

1379  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin's price, at ang ating seguridad on: February 27, 2021, 05:47:33 PM
Another reason why we don't have to tell everyone that we earn a lot on cryptocurrency is that pwede silang out of nowhere invest in it, tapos biglang nagdip yung price at magconclude agad sila na niloloko lang natin sila. Better to tell your earnings sa mga cryptocurrency friends mo na sobrang kilala mo na talaga for safety na rin. Don't post your earnings in social media, kasi maraming sniper (you know what I mean).

For me, sasabihan ko lang sila na it's a learning curve eventhough na nalugi sila. Lesson learned na nila yung na hindi nila inaral ang art of trading and holding. Pero, I think it's best to just say na we are earning on cryptocurrency instead na may "a lot" pa. Other than na nagmumukha tayong mayabang, there's a risk na pwede na tayong makwento at matarget ng kung sino sino, mas better kung discreet tayo sa ganung bagay. Tsaka, it's not always naman na malaki yung kita sa crypto or even trading, there are times na mababa or almost talo at balik puhanan lang.

We also must be careful kung magsasabi tayo and mas better kung matuturo natin ng maayos sa kanila para kahit papaano may idea sila sa pros and cons at maari nilang maencounter.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: February 27, 2021, 04:50:15 PM
The bets are only statistics and nothing concrete so you should analyze your games with your own eyes in order to draw a conclusion about that certain game. The odds are there just to give you a clue about who is the favorite in the game but the odd doesn't give you 100% certain winning rate as I think most of us who bet lost a ticket with an odd of 1.12 at least once in his life.

Odds from the book and odds of you own (if you're running an analytic) analyze is often different. Sometimes up to vise versa. One of my friends (not close friend tho) made his own table for ukrainian football league and there were more situations where he had an opposite conclusion about outcome than the same.

So you're right, just use your own head.

Most of the given odds are based of the favorites of the players and gamblers. Also, the input from the previous matches are added into these factors to make up for odds provided.
Sometimes the odds changes depending on who has the most bets, for example, the majority of bets and votes are on the 1st team which caters for the 75% of the bettors and only 25% on the 2nd team. The odds for the 1st team would be higher with lower rewards and vice versa.
When betting into these kinds of games, it better to do your own research and analyze which of the 2 teams are most likely to win based of different factors rather than basing on the odds given.
