1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: May 28, 2022, 05:53:00 PM
Working with investments, trading and gambling is a high-risk activity that very often causes stress. It is quite difficult to protect yourself from this, so many crypto-enthusiasts have similar problems. Most of us do not eat right which also has a negative effect on the body.

In my opinion, crypto-enthusiasts should spend more time in sports, walk more often and eat right to stay healthy.
Any activity that makes you go through high levels of stress are very similar in the side-effects that they cause, it is for this reason that high levels of stress are considered to be so damaging to our bodies, because even if the effect cannot be seen right away, if you spend decades of your life going through stress then you will developed some major health issues.

So it is important to take care of our health as much as we can before we reach that point, so those side-effects are minimized as much as possible.
One of the main health concern for gambling addict is mental health issue which has been cause by constant stress due to losses on gambling.
Just as you've said, this only does not happen with gambling but rather to most activities that involves money such as investments and trading. It is also not rare for us to hear news that people end up killing themselves due to huge loses.

However from the OP,s concern regarding physical health issue that he is encountering, I doubt that this is mainly caused by Gambling Addiction. Also, I don't recommend to use google as one of your source for prescription on your health issue. I suggest you try to directly go to the nearest clinic or hospital to get it checked as it may have been caused by any underlying conditions that you don't even know.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a new sportsbook gain trust? on: May 28, 2022, 03:00:17 PM
Money capital in the bankroll of the casino is a must and $100k dollars is a good start in the new casino because if a player wins they can provide and they can also sustain the withdrawal of winners and through this scenario and a gambler successfully withdrawn for sure they leave a positive feedback and that's the start of a good reputation but the most important Thing is they must handle their customer well.
I do not think that $100,000 is enough as a bankroll of the casino. Even though a casino is just starting, there are some players that bets higher. They still got high rollers even though they just started. Imagine if they win a huge multiplier with $100 or up wager? I might be wrong, but I really think $100k is not enough if you want to have a thriving casino.
The amount of bankroll of a certain casino will depend on how they operate their platform. If the owner will start a casino with just a limited amount such as 100,000 dollars, then possibly they must also prefer to limit the betting amount. However, it is a must to have a huge bankroll for a casino as there are always high rollers that will be betting high.
Also, having a good reputation will require good service whereas users will not be encountering issue especially for withdrawal. However, trust and reputation does not happen overnight so they must be patient and continue providing good service, promotion and events in the long run.
1123  Local / Pilipinas / Re: NEW MARCOS ADMIN, OPEN TO DIGITAL CURRENCY on: May 28, 2022, 02:00:01 PM
So far, I think kung sa usapang adoption I guess mas madaling pagtuonan ng gobyerno ang edukasyon para rito, sana mayroong bagong kaalaman na matalakay ngayong nasa kanila ang kapangyarihan. The best is, huwag tayong mag expect kasi his term will just be a blink of an eye, hoping lang na may magawa Siya para rito kasi, we as crypto enthusiasts talagang ang gusto lang natin kalinawan (e.g. tax, regulation, etc.)
Kaso nga lang when you ask them tungkol sa mga crypto, other than binance, metamask at mga NFT games, konting info lang mabibigay nila.
Pero tama ka, wag tayong mag-expect ng malaki about sa cryptocurrency dahil may ibang bagay na mas maging priority nila especially at times like this.
1124  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Crypto taxation in the Philippines coming soon? on: May 28, 2022, 01:21:17 PM
May mga taxes naman na sa coinsph and other local crypto wallet, siguro ang gusto lang habulin ng gobyerno is yung tax doon sa personal income naten which is sa tingin ko ay mahirap habulin since maraming Pinoy ang hinde naman nagdedeclare ng personal income nila.

Magandang ang hangarin to collect more money, kailangan lang iimplement ng maayos and with this new administration, naniniwala ako na mas magiging supportive ang ating gobyerno pagdating sa usaping cryptocurrency.
1125  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: May 28, 2022, 12:12:22 PM
What's your timeline for becoming a millionaire?

Generally speaking, if you have around a million dollars in your investment portfolio, then presumably you should be able to draw upon that at about a 4% per year rate (which is $40k per year and $3,333 per month) and to largely be able to continue with that amount of withdrawal in a near perpetual manner (theorist presume 30 years, but I suppose it depends upon how you assess its value and if you really can get your portfolio to earn more income than your withdrawal rate).

Of course, if we are talking about being able to live off of $300 per week, then our numbers are ONLY about 36% of the millionaire amount - which largely should mean that we should be able to generate $300 per week from ONLY $360k of an investment portfolio... presuming a 4% withdrawal rate... and hopefully a way of investing that generates at least more than 4% per year on average.
I doubt Apocollapse meant being a millionaire in terms of dollars or USD. Being able to earn 1,500 dollars per week will not make anyone a millionaire (dollars) but if you will consider other currency that has much lower value than dollars such as Philippine Pesos. Then, there's a high possibility that you can be a millionaire on your country. Anyway, that is if you only do signature campaign and do not invest or trade.
1126  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: May 27, 2022, 06:30:18 PM
With the given example of Chipmixer Signature Campaign, as a Filipino myself, I assure you if you will be able to achieve the maximum post requirements for that campaign weekly then surely you will be able to afford so much here.
The average income for most of the Filipino is just 350-500 USD a month so being able to earn at least 1000 USD per month from a signature campaign will surely provide a Mid-Class kind of life here at the Philippines. That is only for
one member of the family.
Also, Let me share you my story. I am a part of this forum since 2016 and I was able to join multiple campaign whether it's a signature or social media campaign from altcoins before. I was able to earn more than what my parents was able to provide. And as a college student back then, I was kinda living my life. I was able to buy whatever I want and people was amazed as to how I was able to afford all of those stuffs.
At that time, I've encourage my friends and family to do what I do and let them explore what crypto can provide not just through campaigns but also with investment and trading. However, things got complicated as they were too greedy and made more one account to join altcoin campaigns. I've warned them about this and even reported some of their accounts that I've known to be their alt. Most of their accounts are banned on this forum or even tagged already by now. But the amount that they've accumulated from joining altcoin campaigns way back 2019-2020 was enough for them to buy a car, a condo and even a house.
So yes, you'll be able to live like a king if you, your friends and/or your other family members are doing signature campaign especially if all of them are at Chipmixer.
1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't trade your Bitcoin like Laszlo Hanyecz on: May 27, 2022, 05:42:06 PM
I hate people spending their bitcoin sort of being 'demonized', as there's definitely nothing wrong with what the dude did. He publicly showed that bitcoin can actually be used as a currency. Big achievement, if anything.
Agreed, bitcoin is a currency, and while we know that it is an incredible investment and that it has still huge potential to go up in value during the long term, and this is why many people do not want to spend even a satoshi, the truth is that there is nothing wrong with spending some of your bitcoin in order to get something that you want, also if my memory does not fails me that was the fist time bitcoin was used in a  a commercial transaction so it was and it is still is part of the history of this market.
Laszlo Hanyecz experiment at that time to used bitcoin as a way to pay some pizza is one of the first transaction where bitcoin shows value. There's nothing wrong spending your Bitcoin to pay for something if it allows you to. I mean, that's the whole point what we are trying to achieve, right? Where Bitcoin can be widely used or even be considered as one of the main currency worldwide.
If logic dictates what the OP's imposing, we should not trade our 100,000 dollars worth of bitcoin for a Lamborghini or even a house. We should just invest, invest and invest. Whether the price is high or not, if we want to use it for payment on some transaction, then why not?
We should rather enjoy what we've bought and enjoy what we have right now because of bitcoin rather than regretting the value that we then have used it.
1128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you saved your bitcoins in multiple wallets? on: May 27, 2022, 04:01:01 PM
But I like saving bitcoin and several altcoin assets on exchange market, easy for selling when price suddenly pump witjout have to move exchange account when trading.

This is convenient if you are an active trader, but there are definitely additional risks that can be avoided. Even if we are talking about an amount that is not a pity to lose, it can still be a loss of funds, which we do not need. You won't spend much time moving coins from wallet to exchange if needed, but it can save you money.
Storing bitcoin on an exchange site would really be convenient if you are an active trader however the risk could provide you significant hassle in the long run. For security purposes, bitcoin wallets such as bitcoin core, electrum would be much better as it will be harder to hack. Unlike with exchange sites which you can easily encounter notification on a daily basis of someone trying to log in with your account. (Based from experience from various exchange sites especially famous ones).
Also, it is common for exchange sites to conduct maintenance and you won't be able to withdraw your funds on your account. So yes, there are most risk and inconvenience that can be encountered from exchange sites to software wallets.

As with the OP's question, I guess having multiple wallets would be good if you have a significant amount of bitcoin (does not mean it must a high amount). I mean, if you an insignificant amount of bitcoin, you will need to shoulder the multiple transaction fees that would cause you losing funds with bitcoins.
For me, I have atleast 3 kinds of wallets where I store my bitcoin. I have local wallets for convenience, in case that I will require emergency funds or fiats to dispose with. A software wallet for saving my coins and for crypto transaction. Lastly, I store some coins including other crypto on exchange site to do some trading from time to time. However, I guess it would be better to have a physical hardware wallet instead for better security on your coins.
1129  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Report: PH ranks 2nd in ‘ownership of cryptocurrency’ on: May 27, 2022, 03:06:40 PM
Sa aking Facebook feed nga, madami nag share nito at nagsabing “BIR is waving”, “tax tax tax”, etc.

Pero when in comes to amount of investments, I doubt na mapapasama tayo sa ranking dyan.
1130  Local / Pilipinas / Re: NEW MARCOS ADMIN, OPEN TO DIGITAL CURRENCY on: May 27, 2022, 01:04:03 PM

Kumbaga in summary parang ang sinabi lang ni BBM sa video ay "interesting ang crypto, pero titignan natin in the future kung pano natin ireregulate kasi nasa early stages palang tayo".
Correct me if I'm wrong, yung youtube video na sinend ni kabayan ay old video from his previous Vice Presidential campaign pa.
Most of the platforms ni BBM ay ganyan. Sobrang direct to the issue, for example, Lack of Education Facility - Dagdag lang ng mga schools.
I doubt na may magbabago sa Crypto industry sa pinas with Marcos as the President.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 27, 2022, 11:44:12 AM
No, because for seeing your competitor do massive promotions like maintaining their signature campaign and more contest for sure those who pull the plug to stop their campaign will be out dated, we might also see the number of their gamblers decline so if you want to stay in the business you should support your casino by making sure that you have ads running in this forum. For sure this is the key of other big casino to success because they always be seen anywhere and easily to remember by gamblers.
I beg to disagree with your opinion regarding this topic. Gambling platforms can still do well even after stopping their promotion on this forum. The given gambling platforms by the OP are Bitvest and 777coin and after their campaigns made on this forum has been stopped, surely they still have a lot of gamblers on their platform however it might have reduce on numbers. Another gambling platforms that are still famous even having their campaign stopped on this forum are Primedice, JustDice, and alot more yet they are still doing fine up until now.
This forum is not the only way to advertise and provide promotions and events. They can advertise outside this forum and do events and promotions inside their website.
1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 22, 2022, 06:44:13 PM
I think that this situation is the fault of the gambler because if he really wanted to give up gambling he would when receiving emails from the casino added them to spam or not read them. He couldn't resist the bait the casino gave him and got into trouble again.

So if you have decided to give up gambling, you need to change your lifestyle completely. Perhaps even give up the Internet for a while.
In this circumstance, there is in no way the gambling platform or the casino should be at fault as the gambler does all the dirty work and the casino was just the platform used to spend the money. Also, you cannot use to justify that he closed his account but then continue to received email for bonuses as an excuse to blame the company as it usually happens even after closing or discontinue your account. He could also "unsubscribe" to the email to avoid receiving mails from the casino.
Again, the gambler is fully at fault and should be completely liable to what he has done.
1133  Economy / Economics / Re: Constant defamation of crypto on: May 22, 2022, 02:21:17 PM
It's not too difficult to understand. Centralized control means the government gets to use their hand to control fiscal policy. Crypto counteracts that and competes with fiat currency for the consumer's business.

If a citizen could decide to use their country's currency that's irresponsibly managed, or choose a decentralized currency that's price is determined by a free market, would you have any apprehension in choosing crypto? Doesn't become a difficult choice even if you live in a country that has a stable currency. Most currencies are inflating at a rate inconsistent with wage growth so it makes it fairly easy to choose crypto over fiat.

This kicks up the disinformation/misinformation campaign quite significantly.
Decentralization on the crypto industry is one of the main reason as to why the government is against it however as time goes on, centralised crypto has already been made which is there are some government that are now considering crypto. But still, some or most government are still against it. It is hard to understand as to why most of the government are still against it even though centralization is already implemented on cryptocurrency.
In regards which people or citizens who are still still against cryptocurrency, I guess the main two reasons as to why they are still against crypto is due to lack of knowledge and having no trust unto funds that has no physical item such as they call "internet money". We might already know that bitcoin doesn't really have a great reputation ever since especially that it was and still widely used on the illegal activities such as darkweb stuffs.
1134  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: May 22, 2022, 12:44:12 PM
Yes, Lightning Network or LN is for bitcoin as it lessen the fees for transaction and it might be a great way for casino to implement it especially for withdrawals on their platform. However, as Users or Gamblers, I might rather not consider it as of now since most of the online casino or gambling platform that have offers other tokens and it also feature swapping or converting btc to other tokens that will helps us with transaction fee and traffic.
Never see any other cryptos aside from btc that uses LN so maybe it is only for btc. LN helps lessen the fee and can also speed up the transaction which is a good thing for btc users. Btc users always dream of this and finally LN came to make this dream a reality. Every casino should implement it. I know that it seems late already because LN wasn't a new thing anymore and every casinos already started using different kind of altcoins but for once, maybe they can make the wish of the users here come true?

Users here always wanted to see and experience LN on the gambling site that they like. Why a casino cant approve this simple request? Are there any problems? Is setting up LN on a gambling site complicated and can cost a lot? Hmm...
LN or Lightning Network can easily be implemented on various online casino or gambling sites however is it really worth they're time to do so since LN is only applicable for bitcoin. Also, if a client or gambler would like to deposit on their account faster, then they have various options to do so such as additional fees, or even depositing on using other cryptocurrency that offers lesser fees and faster transaction.

Even if these gambling platforms would implement it, how many players will be able to use it? Upon checking on this forum, there are some campaigns where LN are introduced and has been offered to try in exchange of a bucks thru btc however only a few even tried to do so.
1135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is everyone that got in late last year in the red now ? How bad is it ? on: May 22, 2022, 10:29:10 AM
I'm still in the green...more than double my initial investment. But then I got in nearly 2 years ago.

I think being in Red or Green does not matter much. If you have invested in for long term, then you do not care if the prices are below your buying price. In the long run, bitcoin will be at much higher prices and therefore there is no need to panic for long term investors. Those who bought bitcoin for the short term or were doing trading may either have cash out at profit or they may have hit their stop losses. Only the newbies or people with no plan may have sold their coins in the loss.
Having a potential profit or potential loss (greed or red) does not matter for people who plan to invest not only to bitcoin but to any crypto in a long term plan. However, whether you plan to invest in long term or not, it all depends on your needs and budget. If you are in need of funds right now, whether you are in loss, you will still sell it.
Also, not only newbies or people who has no plan are those who sold their coins. But rather, people who choose to stop loss and trying to re-enter for a much better chance of profit. Short term investors may finds ways to earn on the current bullish market unlike long term investors.
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Laszlo Hanyecz! Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day! on: May 22, 2022, 08:45:42 AM
Some people thinks that what he did is stupidity and most of us think that it is something to regret knowing that you bought  2 pizza for something that worth millions of dollar right now.
But for him and for us, it is something of a legend in such a way that he did somehow change or even be a marked something to bitcoin showing to the whole crypto community that bitcoin is a currency that can be traded of or be used to buy something.
Anyways, Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day to everyone!
1137  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa kaba sa my mga bitcoin or any crypto noon? on: May 22, 2022, 06:59:01 AM
1138  Local / Pilipinas / Re: GCash offering crypto services soon on: May 21, 2022, 06:39:45 PM

  • having a digital banking license is not a “silver bullet or magic” to growth.
“It’s not like a signboard that you just turn on then expect everyone to come in.
    ~Snipped~
The GCash Chief also reiterated that the mobile e-wallet is already available as a mode of payment across several exchanges such as Binance, Philippine Digital Assets Exchange (PDAX), Paxfulmake, and more “to be added soon.”

Based on the following highlighted part, I have a strong feeling na ang ilalabas nilang crypto features, would have a "true" wallet functionality:

  • In terms of offering crypto inside our app, we’re making sure that the services we provide within the crypto space are the relevant ones and at a rate that is reasonable. We are working on it, and we’ll be able to offer what we think is what the consumers are really looking for,” she concluded.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 21, 2022, 05:54:12 PM
I'm not so sure if the same goes for Filipino cockfighters and breeders as far as I know cockfighting or "sabong" is not only introduced by chicken farmers but rather by our native people in the province. Due to lack of modernization and inability to find hobbies, they find joy and entertainment from sabong or cockfighting. Time goes by, cockfighting became normal to us and has been used to gamble.
After E-sabong or Online Cockfighting, has been introduced due to social distancing, people have been joining not only to elder people but also to teenagers, teens and even people who don't have any knowledge about it since it is too easy to join.
Thats the sad thing because due to this or easy access then this is where young people or youth could possibly really get involved which might result into even more possible addiction.
I dont believe that there's lacking about games offered online on why they are really into cockfight betting but rather they do really just looking it for it to be interesting
because if we do speak of the current online games into casinos and the easy access then i dont see for it to be that lacking.
So its not surprising that government would really be taking some action.
Yes, there are various option for our young people to play on such as online games but due to the fact that people who've earned tons because of E-sabong has been boasting or even used for advertisement. Also, one of the reason, why more people especially teenagers are joining is because it has been promoted by Vloggers and YouTubers which people has been idolising.
Yes, it sad to know that even youth which should not be gambling at all are already member of this association.
1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 21, 2022, 04:30:53 PM
Yes, many poor people have gambled using traditional gambling games and have forgotten their basic needs that must be bought. If they won, they would certainly get a lot of money. But if they lost, then their loss could be big and it would be hard to get back. All they could do was stay away from gambling, all gambling before they had self-control in that corridor.

A cockfight is just basically introduced to the native people who enjoy farming their chicken and have some casual game of cockfight because of the basic gambling of having a choose with the chickens its more easier to make a bet and just a casual entertainment with small amount but time past by in the middle and the top class see the game to earn too its all about all or nothing game its all about the cock stamina and breeders care to win the fight.
